A bit more care on the food balance and would be remarkable
Wonderful location, the view is incredible. Very good table service, waiters always prepared and very careful. The menu is interesting (also with some italian contamination), with fresh ingredients: the flavours tend a bit too much towards the international cusine, spoiling a bit the taste (e.g. the octopus was excellent exept for a dressing that was way too acid and hence overwhelming for the whole dish). Good wine list. Overall a good experience.

Incredible restaurant, with a wonderful view of the city, we were very well served, all the waiters were super attentive, the food maybe I didn't choose correctly, I ate deer meat maybe I should have chosen something different I would enjoy it better, but I intend to go back to the place, photos were taken beautiful

I had a fantastic time at JG SkyHigh, the restaurant/bar atop the swanky Four Seasons Hotel. It’s worth a visit alone for the awe inspiring, turbo charged glass elevator ride, which fires you up 60 floors to the gloss & gleam of JG Vongerichten. Once there, it’s a stunning, airy space of wraparound glass, with THE most amazing views in the city. Food was delicious, & given the high end surroundings, I didn’t think, hideously expensive. Service was speedy, polished & free of pomp. You can come for breakfast, lunch, supper or just drinks & snacks. Food was delicious.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing anniversary dinner, highly recommended
9/10. Ambience and views are outstanding. The food was excellent, with a varied selection for the 6 course tasting menu (which ended up really as 9 courses). Service was friendly and the meal was served at the correct pace. Some of the wine pairings had a great stories, but lacked in quality. Still, a highly recommended dining experience in Philadelphia, easily equivalent to the flagship New York restaurant where we have dined many times.

We've been fans of Chef Vongerichten for years now, so when he opened a place in Philadelphia, we booked into the 4 Seasons to experience his vision there. The room is spectacular, the service staff well-trained and the food is well prepared. Every time we're in Philly, as we were last Saturday, we make a point of dropping in. The restaurant was very crowded, so we sat at the bar intending to have brunch and drinks. Despite the fact that the bar was full, the staff was cheerful and accommodating, though we never got to order food and had to be contented with a couple of Bloody Marys!
Be the first to ReplyTop class all the way. Venue, view, staff, food and cocktails
Rooftop is stunning, service is nice and professional, drinks and food are really excellent! Went twice during one weekend and would love to return to eat my way through the menu
Be the first to ReplyOne of the Best in Philly
We had a wonderful tasting menu experience here with wine accompaniment. I love doing the foodie thing and this is definitely the place. The view (top of the skyscraper) the ambiance (intimate, not crowded) and service were top notch. Loved all the cocktail choices and the food was excellent. I will say, that the food was a notch lower than similar places we have been to in New York and Las Vegas, but was still excellent. We also visited Vernick Food and Drink. Their food was better, but it was a crowded ambiance with people tucked in tight all around and service was okay. In case you are trying to decide.

Excellent food and service with amazing views! The presentation, tastes, and texture of the food was outstanding. The service was meticulous. One quibble is the online menu noted wagyu beef and we were served duck. It was delicious but I was looking forward to the wagyu beef and brought a bottle of anniversary wine to pair with it.
Be the first to ReplyCome for a drink but don't eat here
Everything about our lunch was fantastic ... except the food. I've done a lot of business travel. I never have high expectation at hotel restaurants. But I assumed the Four Seasons would be different. The decor, view, and service were all wonderful. My wife's shrimp mushroom risotto had little taste except for being overly salted. My "fried chicken" was half good. The thigh meat was tender and juicy but the breast meat was dry. The breading on both was nice but seemed like "fish and chips" batter. I've had better hotel food at a Holiday Inn. We live in Philly so we know what's possible in this foodie city. Come on guys, you should do better.

Had a great anniversary dinner at Jean-Georges. There are two restaurants - one is Sky High and this one is Jean -Georges. They have a great tasting menu that we have had twice. This time was for our 25th anniversary and they did not disappoint. From the snacks and appetizers to the main courses and the pre dessert, dessert and after dessert, the food was creative and delicious. Above all, the service was impeccable ! They aim to please.

What a special night! From the time the glass front elevator whisks you to the 60th floor until the evening ends with your take home Kugelhopt for breakfast the morning after, Jean Georges in the Four Seasons Hotel is exceptional. The views from the 59th floor of the windowed restaurant and 60th floor bar are stunning and the food at Jean George is truly special! We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation for a drink at the bar and walk-around taking in the views until our table was ready. Once seated you are treated to a multi course tasting menu that is as gorgeous as it is delicious. The service is second to none and you feel pampered for the entire duration of the dinner. As the sun set over the city each dish was beautifully presented and described and each was unique, perfectly balanced and delicious! the seasonal menu featured many tastes of the autumn season along with signature Jean George’s dishes. Valet parking is available ($30) and a wine pairing is also available which we did not participate in but did get wine by the glass and cocktails. This is definitely a splurge restaurant for a special occasion ($198 prix fixe) but it is an amazing experience that lasts over 3 hours and made for a very a memorable night. The more casual JG Skyhigh afforda the same views for a more reasonable price but for a special occasion Jean George is absolute perfection!
Be the first to ReplyFabulous restaurant with stupendous views and excellent food
We had a spectacular evening in the Jean Georges on the 59th floor of the new Four Seasons and we were glad to have found this restaurant. Exceptional food that we have not found anywhere in the US before - for a family celebration we had both six-course tasting menus (the "land&sea" and Vegetarian) and were stunned at the quality and love of detail of the preparations. Exceptional service, too - after our dinner the chef Cornelia Sühr came to talk to her guests - absolutely delightul. Don't mistake this place for the other hotel restaurant "above the bar" on the 60th floor where the hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with very shoddy untrained service, albeit the same spectacular views.
Be the first to ReplyShocking disappointing
Seriously less than “diner” quality food served. We had to wait 15 min to be seated at reserved table. The “assistant” to the waiter had no concept what he was doing. The waitress and servers were slow, sloppy in providing service. It was as though it was their first night to learn the skills. Food was less than average. 1/3 of the meals delivered 12 min after the other ones. They forgot the cake that was ordered in advance from the sister restaurant resulting in 22 min wait time. Fried chicken was like the old recipe from Ms Winners fast food chain. Absolutely no excuse. So over “we can’t find help”. This is one of the best areas for a restaurant and appears it is becoming the symbol of what was once great about having dinner in PHL. All that said, the view of the city is spectacular. Go for the hamburger and save yourself from expectations of 5star.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful restaurant with an awful service!
We had a reservation at 8:30, and waited to be seated for 20 min. They knew that we have a birthday party and still gave us a table at the couch right next to another customer. Then we waited for 20 more min for another table. We get a drink almost after one hour of being at the restaurant. Food was ok, but not too much choice. The waitress didn’t check on us. We asked for a sanitized wipes for 3 times🤦🏻 ♀️ The second bottle was served by a birthday girl, because the bottle service girl completely forgot about us. Also, they forgot about the birthday cake. When we asked about it, the guy just approached us with a small candle and wanted to add it to a plate🤦🏻 ♀️ chocolate cake that we ordered was not delicious at all. Very disappointed with service. Husband of my friend called a manager, and she told him that the next time we will have a better service. Really? Bad customer service starting from a reservation (when you try to reserve a table and they just transfer your call to different departments without knowing who is responsible for it), and ending with a manager’s “resolution “. You can come here for a view only. Very disappointing and sad!

This is a fabulous place for lunch and I’m sure dinner as well. Three of us enjoyed lunch here. I got the tuna appetizer & the chicken entree as well as a lovely bottle of white wine. Everything from the service to the presentation to the quality of the food & drinks is top notch! Being in the tallest building in Philly, the views are outstanding!

Made a reservation weeks ago for a special dinner, received a confirmation. Now days before they confirm a breakfast reservation. I called, explained, and was told “ah yes but no reservations available that night, can do another night”. Not the first time they have not kept the reservation or special request. The attitude was “can’t help you, don’t care”. The view is beautiful but they service is terrible. Cannot say how disappointed I am.

Stopped in after dinner for drinks. The staff was wonderful and provided great service. They had some interesting items on the menu including the ginger margarita and the tropical old fashion.
Be the first to ReplyBest pizza I ever had
Came here with my friends. We originally just wanted to have drinks and as the night fell, we decided to have dinner here as well. My friend ordered risotto and it was surprisingly good. I had a margarita pizza and it was the best margarita pizza I have ever had! The calamari is also delicious. BTW, this place makes an awesome boulevadier. Must try!

Reviews of Jean-Georges are mixed, at best. Some folks obviously were bothered by one thing or another, and came out swinging: The worst this and the worst that. Okay. So, crossing our fingerers, my wife and I booked Jean-Georges for lunch as out last meal in Philadelphia (celebrating my wife's birthday). I had no illusions about what the tab would be. We were having lunch in one of the most-expensive hotels in the city, also one of the neatest: A glorious interior design nestled 60 stories above the ground floor. Why isn't it inexpensive, too? Duh. The resto has a huge nut to crack and has to charge what many regard as high prices. Sure, they're not cheap, but what did you expect? The issue is not one of price, but value. Start with the view from 60 stories. Try matching it at a Mickey D's. You can, I suppose, as long as you're a bug. But I'm not, and to say the view was amazingly, incredibly, mind-blowingly awesome does not do it justice. So, what about the lousy service and snotty wait staff? Apparently, they were all off. All that we had left was people who knew how to make folks feel welcome, respected, and in charge. I had a tuna tartar, which was marvelous, and a black-truffle pizza. My wife had the pea soup and asparagus risotto, plus a martini. All four dishes were exquisite. Pricey? Of course! What do you expect at a venue like this? If you don't want to pay the price, don't go. But, as I figure it, I spent $35 to $40 more than I would have at a far lesser place, so the question is, is the extra money spent well-spent. YES! It was a genuine experience, not just a meal. And we'll be having dinner here (which I really cannot afford!) the next time I'm in town, because -- bottom line -- it's worth it.
Be the first to ReplyWow. very romantic and breath taking
My wife and myself went to the Sky High bar one evening in March. We reserved a table through open table. The elevator ride up was a bit woozy but enjoyable to see the sights of Philly during the evening was amazing. We were first seated in the middle of the place but as seats opened up by the window, they did let us move to the window without much fanfare. There is a mirror in the middle of the room that allow for the full viewing of Philly from any location. However, the view from the window was that much more enjoyable. The drinks, appetizers and services are great and pricy as one would expect but it's not for the food or drinks that's the main attraction here. Its the wonderful view that makes the whole experience great. I have to come back during the day but evening Philly lights makes this place the destination for a romantic outing.

We had a delightful experience at Jean-Georges last week. And - it is an experience. After a friendly greeting from the bell staff at the 4 Seasons Hotel, you travel up sixty floors in the glass elevator as the view of the city expands. The hall to the reception desk is banked by two walls of purple orchids. We followed the hostess down a staircase with a waterfall on both sides. The restaurant design is filled with architectual details to delight the eye and the view of the city is amazing. We had chicken and artichokes with a nice lemon sauce. It was cooked to perfection. Our server Darryl was cordial and made us feel welcome. He was charming and helpful. Every employee was gracious, and kind.
