Love TownHall!!!
Love TownHall! The food is always delicious, and the service is amazing—everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It’s such a great spot!
best place!
TownHall in Ohio City is hands down one of the best spots in Cleveland. From the moment you walk in, the energy is unmatched – it’s lively, stylish, and welcoming all at once. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home no matter how busy it gets.
Townhall dinner
Amazing restaurant with amazing food and great service. The menu is very detailed with a great selection of delicious food to pick from.
Awesome restaurant.
Townhall is an amazing restaurant for many reasons, their food is amazing and healthy and the atmosphere and service are top tier.
Great Food & Drink
The food here is always good and I always look forward to when the sushi menu is available! The drinks are also great specifically the green goddess
Great Food but a Little Pretentious
Visited Townhall and enjoyed a good meal. Extensive beer menu with a lot of interesting choices. A lot of healthy choices, including building various bowls and smoothie type stuff. They kind of beat you over the head with how healthy their food is. Also kept getting the impression that the waitstaff were looking down on us, perhaps because we weren't into making some sort of healthy choice. That being said, the dinner was quite delicious. Everything we ordered was not only delicious but well-prepared, well-presented and unique. Would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Amazing every time!
I have dined at TownHall multiple times, and the experience is phenomenal each and every time. The food is always beautiful and genuinely tastes good, which is hard to find in health based meals. The service is always higher than standard, and everyone always seems happy!
Top Brunch in Cleveland
One of my favorite brunch stops in Cleveland. The atmosphere is lively but not chaotic, and the food is always solid. I love their crepe bar, its super customizable, and such a good deal. They also have great sweet potato hotcakes when I want something more filling. The fact that they clearly label everything for dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, etc) is a huge bonus too. Also, great coffee bulletproof coffee, it’s strong and smooth without being bitter. Service has always been friendly and welcoming, even when it’s packed.
Definitely my favorite place to come for a great time with friends and family. The Great atmosphere and attentive kind employees makes the experience worth coming back every time.
It was ok.
.. wish they had caring staff. Waiter took a while to come. Food was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was pretty nice.
Incredible place
Stopped in for lunch the other day and had a great experience. We were given a comfortable table and soon met our server Caitlin who was friendly and so helpful. We were there once when it first opened years ago, so we needed help. It’s an expansion menu with every dietary requirement met. We tried a Build your own bowl and a grass fed cheeseburger, both were full flavors and served at a good temperature on a sub freezing afternoon. We finished off sharing a wonderful Butter Cake. Check it out next time you are in the west side of Cleveland!
Brilliant!! Come here on a warm spring/summer day and you
Brilliant!! Come here on a warm spring/summer day and you won't be disappointed. I like to come here mostly for drinks. But there are some hidden gem dishes here worth getting too. Love the tucked away entrance and elevator experience.
I came here for my birthday last year and had an amazing
I came here for my birthday last year and had an amazing time. The decor inside and the elevator up and the ceiling and wallpaper are just stunning. One thing though, the entrance is so underwhelming that it was hard to find. I walked past it twice and had to ask someone where the heck it was. I have gripes about hidden, hard to find entrances and tiny lobbies/entrances. But having the elevator take you up to the actual restaurant was literally on another level. The menu had a lot to choose from but the prices were just too high for the small portions and value of the dishes. Our server was very chatty and friendly but in the end, the octopus he highly recommended was too acidic and the puree was too bland. It was seared fine but I would have combined way different flavors. We needed 3 dishes to even be close to full. They don't do anything for birthdays (the 2 candles were free, lol) but of course my BF splurged for the dessert which was pretty good but I remember the dryness of the granola kind of getting in the way of an otherwise soft pie in a cup. I would absolutely come back again for a special occasion and come not too hungry, haha (or should I say jaja?).
All around fantastic.
From the swanky, speakeasy style entrance, to the velvet wall covering in the elevator, to the decor, the music, the great staff, and incredible food. This place is a home run! It's definitely not cheap, so don't go here if you're a baller on a budget. This is for special occasions or people with big kid jobs. Highly recommend the carrots, the lebneh, and beet salad.
We went here while visiting our son.
He had been here and thought it was great. First they sat us outside at a table next to a wall that had bugs all over it. Thankfully they were accommodating when we asked to move. But the bugs were very visible why sit anyone there! We had several cocktails that were all really delicious. On to the food - as per waiters recommendation we ordered 8 dishes. I'll start with the good. Eggplant - delicious, octopus- ridiculously small portion but good, cauliflower- very burnt and Smokey tasting, pork belly - so so nothing great at all, steak - fatty and tough for $55 I expected delicious. So overall good drinks. Not worth prices for food. Maybe their expansion to outdoor area put too much pressure on kitchen.
I ordered sea bass as did 4 others in our group of 8.
My fish portion size was a bout 50% of my sons and the others were about 75% -there were 3 potato slices about 3mm thick --THATS IT!!! I told our server it's unacceptable to have such a miniscule serving -they comp'ed me (only charged for one) and gave me another sea bass that was even smaller size than the first. The service was slow. Never returning --plus tip was automatically added
Wonderful food, service and ambiance.
I especially love the glass ceiling. Will be back for sure.
Went to Jaja Let me pause and say, fellas this is a great
Went to Jaja Let me pause and say, fellas this is a great spot to take a lady for drinks. The rooftop bar is a whole vibe. Especially on a breezy day. The drinks were great I didn't like the whole bird. It was over charred and it lacked salt and flavoring. Once I added salt the chicken was decent. I'd still come back. My friends loved their dishes
Came to Jaja for an anniversary dinner and it was
Came to Jaja for an anniversary dinner and it was absolutely wonderful! From the service to the ambience, everything was great. Our server Derek was super attentive without being overbearing, and gave lovely recommendations when we said it was our first time. The food and drinks were all delicious. The food is small plates and meant to be shared. My favorite by far was the smoked eggplant spread with charred bread; absolutely scrumptious! The prosciutto wrapped dates were also so special and tasty. For dessert we ordered Creme brûlée, which came out with a little commemorative chocolate plaque and candle because we said it was our anniversary :,) My only gripe from our night was their music choice; they were playing pop hits which I felt like did not match the classy vibe of the restaurant. Overall, wonderful dining experience and would highly recommend for a special occasion or an upscale date night.
JAJA more like JAW DROPPED! Step into a hidden oasis .
Jaja (pronounced as such, not yaya) is an unexpected treat in an otherwise dull-looking neighborhood. ambiance: 4/5: tropical-themed decor with quite a large selection of taxidermy animals. Think rainforest cafe but classy. If you've ever been to Eataly in NYC, there is quite a resemblance with the branchy ceiling. food & drinks 5/5: Mediterranean style bites with a modern twist. Cocktails were delicious and everything was affordable. service 4/5: wait staff was friendly and quick, very attentive but not breathing on your shoulder. They offered us a glass of free champagne because we said it was our anniversary. quick tips: - sit indoors (not the patio) if ur coming for aesthetics - come for the cocktails
Highly recommend
Great restaurant with an amazing atmosphere! Very accommodating in terms of many different food options. 10/10 highly recommend
The best go-to restaurant
Townhall is one of my favorite go-to restaurants! In December we celebrated my friend’s birthday, and the workers made my friend feel so special! I highly recommend!
Fun!
Very great restaurant! Great food and great vibes! Tons of fun! Everyone was very helpful and gave us a great experience!
Best restaurant in Cleveland
This restaurant is great for every occasion. On game nights they have the games playing. They have amazing food. Wholesome ingredients that make their food high quality and great for you. It is especially notable that they don't use inflammatory seed oils, which shows a huge consideration for the people consuming their food, as most other places use inflammatory oils in their food. Overall amazing, there is something for everyone to enjoy here!
Mothers Day Brunch for a large party
Samantha was outstanding in accommodating Our various food requests w allergies for a party of 14 for Mother’s Day Brunch. All the staff helped serve our table were exquisite in serving and making sure even the children were happy and fed correctly. Thank you Town Hall we will be back again and highly recommend you to everyone… we had breakfast meals and lunch meals and GF and dairy free requests…they nailed it completely . We brought in a cake and they put it in a cooler till we were ready and added a multitude of sparklers on it for all to enjoy. We had some particular family members who were completely satisfied…. Thank you again!!’s
BEST SUSHI IN CLE!! All the food was extremely fresh and delicious!!! Can’t wait to come back soon!!
The service was so welcoming and were extremely attentive to each table! The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing!!!
Best lunch in CLE!
A perfect lunch spot - healthy, great service, good options! They are all organic, grass fed, and no seed oils used. Also convenient location!
Exceptional
Townhall invites you into a world of love and exceptionalism. From the sushi, to the cocktails, & lastly the staff, everything & everyone is amazing. If you need a “for the girls” brunch, a night on the town dinner and drinks, or a quiet healthy lunch, Townhall provides it all. No matter the vibe they match. No matter the task they accomplish. Townhall is religiously perfect & forever my favorite! Ps: try the lobster fire roll and yellowtail hamachi!
Terrible service
It took forever to get our server to come over and take our drink order then after a long wait, another person brought out our drinks so we couldn’t order our food. When our server finally came back and we got to order I was starving. The food was good but not worth the hassle whatsoever. I won’t be returning.
Food was really good.
It gives a fine dining ambiance and service that the area needs. Would absolutely recommend.
Jaja is a perfect spot for an intimate dinner for a date
Jaja is a perfect spot for an intimate dinner for a date and it's also a great restaurant to come hangout with friends or family. I visited for the first time in mid-March 2024 with some of my friends. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday (a late celebration). I already can't wait to return again. AMBIANCE -- I love the decor inside -- the sofas, cute little lambs, and flowers on the ceiling really elevates a dinner experience. Lighting is somewhat dim but nice. SERVICE -- Fantastic. Once we all entered from the elevator in the lobby, we were greeted and seated towards the back area. I believe a friend made reservations for us 5. The complimentary drink was a nice touch to the overall great service. DRINKS -- Before our food came out, we were given a complimentary drink called kava which to me tasted similar to a white wine. I hardly drink alcohol so I don't know what kava is. I did glace at the cocktail menu because most of my friends got a drink and Jaja certainly has a great selection of cocktails. DINNER -- There are lots of options to choose from on their menu. I had their LAMB ALBONDIGAS ($20) which comes with 5 thick pieces of lamb meatballs in a bed of cucumber yogurt with lemon parsley oil drizzled over the yogurt. The lamb and 'nduja sausage meatballs were absolutely delicious and I was so full after eating it. The meatballs were topped with a tiny piece of red pepper. The cucumber yogurt had a nice refreshing taste which complimented well with the meatballs. While I thought that there was too much yogurt in the dish, it brought a nice cool flavour to the whole dish. All my friends enjoyed their food too. I think my friend Sabrina got the LAMB LOLLIPOPS SCOTTADITO ($36) which come with four grilled lamb ribs, english pea purée, smoked yogurt, cherry mostarda, mint oil. It looked so tasty that I should have asked to try a piece. My friend Leslie ordered the 12OZ RED SNAPPER ($45) which is a fish dish in a bed of peppers/salsa. While I've just described alot of meat, for the vegetarians, I did notice some appetiser dishes in the cool and warm menu such as the PERI-PERI CAULIFLOWER BOUQUET ($13), POTATO DA DELFINA ($10) - "thinly-shaved potatoes, layered and crisped, tossed with chipotle butter", BUTTERNUT SQUASH HUMMUS ($14) which is made out of chickpeas, and so much more. We ended dinner with the birthday lady enjoying a CHEESECAKE($14) which I tried about 2 bites from without getting the cream and it was yummy but a bit too sweet for me. I recommend Jaja for dinner and I can't wait to try some dishes from their brunch menu. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 19/150 total reviews in 2024 - 669 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 15 April 2024
Townhall
Great food and service..always greeted by the host and seated quickly. The food was amazing and accommodating to many different diet restrictions.
Great meal
The cuisine was superb, marking it as the finest dining experience we encountered in Cleveland. Opting for a cheeseburger paired with roasted vegetables, I found both dishes impeccably prepared. My husband savored a black bean burger alongside roasted vegetables, equally pleased with his choice. A delectable house sauce enhanced the flavors of both burgers, contributing to the overall satisfaction. The restaurant boasted an array of vegetarian and keto selections on its menu, in addition to an extensive bar featuring specialty drinks and premium spirits. Without hesitation, we urge others to visit this establishment when in Cleveland.
Jaja is a great spot to try in Cleveland for a nice dinner.
A great option with more fun choices than the traditional steakhouse. All of the apps here are great, especially the vegetarian ones. Cocktails and mains are also great. Service is always attentive. Inside has a cool tropical theme which is a great touch too.
Jaja is gorgeous, you take the elevator to the second floor
Jaja is gorgeous, you take the elevator to the second floor and you step into a lush tropical botanical garden space with a ceiling of windows and soft mauve seating. The menu is set up for sharing and divided into cool, warm, meat, grilled fish, etc. and they suggested 4-5 plates for our party of two. Our server told us that each dish would be brought out when it was ready, not necessarily all at once. We started with butternut squash hummus (cool) which was sweet and a little bland (needed salt), although when we ate it with the charred naan, that livened it up. We enjoyed the chanterelle mushrooms with polenta (recommended by our server) from the warm section and it was creamy and the mushrooms were earthy and chewy. The lemon zest added a nice bright touch. The Brussels agrodolce were perfectly roasted, tender, lightly sweet and charred. Up to this point the dishes were nicely paced but here's where the fault in the menu setup shows. We didn't want to entirely finish these dishes as we were waiting for the wagyu. So the warm dishes started to get cold and after about 10 minutes we asked the server about the steak. She came back with some complimentary cava and said since we ordered medium, it was still in process. After another ten minutes she dropped off the wagyu and we could immediately see it was cooked well. We told her it was cooked well, not medium and she was cavalier about it, asked if we wanted it redone. At this point, we didn't want to wait another 20 minutes so we declined. This kinda killed the mood for dessert. Overall, Jaja is a gorgeous setting, and we enjoyed our dishes. If the steak had been cooked correctly this would have been 5 stars. Instead 3.5 stars.
Great experience, great food
Great spot for a late night food and drink. Fantastic atmosphere and amazing staff. our server was amazing and the new cocktails they have are amazing.
Best Birthday Dinner!
I went to townhall a few weeks ago for birthday dinner and had the best food! I got the Bangkok Bazaar and a salmon roll and it tasted great! The service was also great for my friend's birthday they brought out a brownie with a sparkler and it was an amazing experience! Will be returning soon!:)
Jaja is an absolute must-visit! Its stunning ambiance
Jaja is an absolute must-visit! Its stunning ambiance bathes you in beauty, setting the stage for an irresistibly good vibe that you'll want to immerse yourself in time and again. The culinary experience is consistently spectacular, with every dish leaving a memorable impression. Their cocktails are equally outstanding, with the cold brew cocktail standing out as a personal favorite of mine--one of the best drinks I've ever savored. Due to the intimate setting, with just 4-6 bar seats available, I strongly recommend making a reservation. Trust me, you won't want to miss the unique charm and exquisite offerings of Jaja.
The food was very good, the experience was not.
Took my wife here to celebrate our wedding anniversary (noted this on the reservation as well). After checking their website to see a nice windowed ceiling, I went to book the "patio" which is advertised as heated / ready for all seasons - but turns out, I was seeing pictures of the dining room... When we got there, we asked the hostess and our waitress if we could move to the dining room, and they said no, so we sat on the patio. The heaters were actually broken in 35 degree weather, it was very cold and uncomfortable. Another table of four showed up shortly after us and complained to the manager / asked for a discount (which I wouldn't do on a date), and they were moved inside... so, wouldn't recommend this place for any special occasions / expect good treatment. My wife was upset after our anniversary dinner because of a problem they could have solved for us. Also the patio sucks in winter, not "annual" as advertised. Again, the food was good, but the steak did take over an hour.
We came for dinner to celebrate a friends birthday.
It was our first time and will most likely be our last. Our waiter described the plates as shareable which made sense if all you were supposed to share was a bite otherwise some of the portion sizes were more like appetizers for 1. We sent back several dishes, charred Brussel Sprouts had no char, Lobster dish was served cold if it was supposed to be the waiter never said it was. They were out of several dishes, so the menu was limited. Best thing about it was the ambiance, Scallops and bread but that was it. For the price this was a waste of an experience.
Total experience outstanding!! Food! Drinking! Service!
Total experience outstanding!! Food! Drinking! Service! Atmosphere! I can't wait to go back!
Great service and very good food selection
This restaurant is great!! The food was so good. The menu was great and had a big selection. The service was wonderful and everyone was super nice. I would 100% go back and I would recommend to go here to anyone.
I actually want to give this place 4 stars, but I think.
..I know, this was some of the best service I've ever received at a restaurant, therefore deserves 5 stars. Shout out to our server Derek A for being an A+++ person and server! Jaja is interesting because the things it does right are better than anywhere in Cleveland. The architecture and design aesthetic really create a special setting to share a meal. The music is loud enough to encourage talking over it, but you don't have to shout and have difficulty hearing each other. And like I said before, their FOH team was kind and professional throughout the whole evening. In regard to operations, I know it's less than a year old, but it needs some improvement before things get slammed in the spring. We got there for an 8:30 reservation and they didn't have a table available for us until 8:50. Again, the staff was very kind, but not a great start. The cocktail I had tasted a little watered down. Looked very pretty, but overall I switched to wine after the first cocktail. Food was more hit than miss, but the miss was big for me at least. Hits: Scallops - seared perfectly, great size and texture Potatoes - delicious with the chipotle butter Prosciutto wrapped dates - my wife loved them Squash burrata - my wife loved it Pork belly - deceivingly small serving that fills you up quickly when you have a lot of other things to eat. Awesome flavor burst and melt in your mouth texture. Miss: Boneless Ribeye - asked for medium rare and there was hardly any pink at all, even in the center of the steak. Derek was kind enough to confirm, and the flavor was still pretty good. The texture and chewiness were not as enjoyable. It was just unfortunate to pay so much at a place that calls itself a steakhouse and not have the steak cooked to perfection. Portion size was great. Overall - definitely still a great experience if you have never been here yet. It wouldn't be my personal first choice to visit again, but if someone else suggested it, I would be more than happy to go again. Thank you and thank you Derek!
Really fun cocktail and food menu.
This is a great place for people who like lots of little plates versus ordering a traditional meal with a side. We had a great time trying foods we typically wouldn't order and everything match the description. Staff was pretty knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made recommendations. I was surprised at the speed at which the plates came out. We ordered seven items and had all of our courses brought out within 30 minutes total. Not a bad thing but I was expecting a longer more leisure dining experience, but overall the food was good!! While this is probably a more expensive restaurant in the area, I didn't feel like anything was overpriced, and I felt like the portion sizes made sense for the items ordered. Cocktails were small for their glass size. The only major food issue was the snickerdoodle crème brûlée. The texture seemed like it must've been prepped away in advance. The top wasn't hard sugar like you would expect to find, and the custard part didn't seem be set correctly. Overall it seemed to be made in advance, refrigerated and not fired to order. Taste was great though!!!
Great Townhall Experience
Such amazing food and amazing service I would come here every week if I could. Everything is pretty cheap too! I would say its a perfect place for a date.
Must visit when in town
Awesome food. Helena St the bar knew her stuff and knew the food and it was great. Had the burger and wings and man it was great. Had a beer and that was good. This place came up as a place to visit and if I'm ever back I will visit again.
Great Atmosphere, Great Food, Great Drinks!
My friends and I love going to Townhall. The food and drinks are always delicious and we always receive the best service. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich and Don't Worry About it Sweetheart are some of my favorites!
Amazing food, drink, and atmosphere
This spot is great for anytime of the day. Great service and the food was outstanding. Would recommend this to anyone traveling to Cleveland.

Wonderful spot on Ohio city! It's a small space but very cozy. Definitely make a reservation! We had to make ours a few weeks in advance for a Saturday night.Started off with complimentary champagne which was a nice touch and some delicious cocktails! I tried the she only wears green, and it was subtly sweet and refreshing. The food is served tapas style with the dishes ranging in size. The menu is vegetarian friendly. We tried the eggplant dip, leeks and paparadelle. The eggplant dip with the charred bread was probably my favorite dish but everything was tasty and enough food between 3 people. I though the paparadelle could have used some more mushroom flavor, but overall was tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful about menu items. A little pricey but a great spot for a special occasion/dinner. I will def be back to try brunch!
I cannot express how amazing my experience was at Jaja.
Upon entering I was blown away at how beautiful the venue is. Every time I looked around I saw something different. I was warmly greeted when I arrived and seated to my table very quickly. Our server Mya was outstanding! Her suggestions were so on point, I cannot thank her enough. Now on to the food: I was skeptical because honestly nothing on the menu jumped out at me but I was curious to try this place. Boy was I wrong! I tried the Mushroom Pappardelle and my goodness it was so good I wanted to lick the bowl! My friend got the scallops and I swear I want to go back just for that..delicious! Please don't skip dessert or else you will regret it! This is perfect place for a girls night out or date night. Absolutely five stars!
