Due to Covid I am about to complete my third staycation here in two years. A total of six nights but I’ll focus on the last two. The hotel is laid out nice, has an amazing pool, overlooks a marina and a beach - which is rare in HK - but needs some TLC. The rooms are small and there is little provided. Shower gel in bottles on the wall in the shower and Nescafé packets for coffee. Sheets that feel well past it and decor that screams old. In short it needs love as it feels increasingly like a youth hostel. Other points worth noting. The spacious lobby lounge does not serve drinks until 1430 which is silly. Breakfast is chaotic as the hotel is popular with families with kids who in the safe environment are let to run wild and feral. The restaurant Prime Rib I’d recommend avoiding BUT the Satay Inn get yourself into as much as you can and make reservations; it’s excellent. Another plus the hotel is happy to store bikes if you ride here and that is a plus in HK. After three stays I hope not to stay again. But if the Walled City of Hong Kong persists I would.
