My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at the Hobnob on May 2. I don't often (well never actually) write reviews but feel I should in this instance. I decided to order the pork chop - something different, that I usually never eat. I asked the waiter for his recommendation, specifically asking him if it was tender. He assured me it was. I'm sorry to say that not only was it tough, but I could hardly cut it with a serrated knife. Needless to say, I only ate two bites. The waiter didn't offer another option but said he was sorry. My husband both agreed that the salads were tasteless. My husband said his schnitzel was good. Now I am not a picky person at all and never write reviews, but I was shocked at how awful it was and felt I should say something. I didn't even bring the leftovers home to our dog. :-( I hear new management took over. I sure hope others have a better experience than we did. Or maybe it's as simple as staying away from the pork chop.

Lost reservations, sat for over an hour, so they were out of prime rib. Waitress was very hard to get ahold of. The food was delivered around 9:30. It was all cold. They were cleaning up all the tables and light was turned up while we were still eating. I was very excited to try this place, I was so disappointed. I've been to the hobnob twice in the last six months.
Both times I ordered the petite fillet cooked medium. Both times the steak came out as medium rare to rare. Both times I sent the steak back and unfortunately, by the time I received the steak all the other members of my group had finish eating. This is unacceptable

The food was the worst meal I have had in years and never at Hob Nob before. They had half of the restaurant blocked off because they were cleaning the rugs! The food was tasteless and my Weiner Schitzel was so dry and no gravy was served. I have lived in the area for 24 years and have taken friends there often. I was totally embarrassed to be hosting them that night. The brandy old fashioned was the only good thing that night.
New management and not nearly as good as it was before.
We had a reservation for a birthday dinner at 6:30 on a Saturday night. We arrived about 2 minutes late but were told our table still wasn't ready. They offered for us to go to the bar, but the area was pretty full for people dining and those already at the bar that it was tough for 5 people. Plus, it took a while before we got drinks. Thankfully, we were seated within about 5-10 min. When our server stopped by, she advised they were already out of prime rib. Okay, stuff happens. When asked about appetizers, we placed an order of the gorgonzola garlic bread. Our server came back after a while saying they were out of that as well. This is a favorite for the birthday boy and one of the reasons we came so second tough blow for the night. We got some bread but no butter and had to ask another server as ours disappeared for a while. We got our ice cold salads which were plain and meh. Balsamic was a dressing option, but really, it's just a bottle of balsamic vinegar. We were able to get a bottle of oil so we could make our own dressing, but it didn't do much to dress up the bland salad. The one thing we liked was the french onion crock. The entrees were just okay. For the prices you're paying, it doesn't seem worth it. The filet was one of the worst my husband had. Not cooked right, lacking flavor and low quality (lot of gristle for a filet). The salmon was okay but not worth the price, honestly. The baked potato on the side was pretty small compared to most supper clubs we've been to. The ambiance is great. They have live music in the bar some nights when we've gone and the place looks cool. But, that doesn't make up for lackluster food and mediocre service. I will actively avoid this place going forward.

Recent HobNob experience. To: Mr. Kyihham Fazal I noticed in a recent Kenosha News article that you are the new owner of the HobNob restaurant. The article quotes you as saying, "nothing is going to change". I've been a patron of the HobNob since shortly after it opened in the 1950s; after last evening's dinner with my extended family of eight, I most emphatically disagree with your statement. Two things have changed dramatically - the prices are much higher, and most importantly the food was at best mediocre. I was simply astonished at your menu prices. Soup that was not hot, skimpy salads, the inability to order a half-rack of ribs or a petite steak, and delivered portions that were generally smaller than expected resulted in a disappointing and expensive evening. On the positive side, service was good. But based on last night's experience of high prices for mediocre food, I doubt I will ever return.

A supper club most highly regarded by family and friends - I grew up in the area. The staff was wonderful, as was the supper club vibe. When I cut into my fillet and found fat and gristle in each mouthful, I decided I will not return. Buyer beware.

Food was mediocre and served slightly warm on the verge of cold. Cramming in too many people between 5 pm -10 pm is bad business. Terrible. Used to be our favorite spot for a special dinner. No longer. Could not wait to leave. Cannot recommend.

Our former favorite restaurant to celebrate special occasions has now dropped to the bottom of our list. We had reservations for 5;30pm. Not sure what the management was thinking by crowding in a lot of people at the same time, with limited inattentive staff. Being open from 5-10 pm on a Saturday makes little sense. The place was jammed, with everyone ordering at the same time. The food arrived cold. My husband ordered the stuffed pork chop. The sauce on the chop was not good and the pork chop itself was good. The steaks ordered by two others in our group were mediocre and cold upon arrival. No ribeye steaks on Saturdays? Why? The baked and twice baked potatoes were cold. The gorgonzola cheese bread was dry on the ends. The sauce itself was good. Cannot recommend this restaurant on a Saturday. As a matter of fact, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all at this time. The prices are high for the low quality of food and service.
Delicious food, great service and a beautiful view of lake
Delicious food, great service and a beautiful view of lake Michigan. Filet Oscar was perfectly cooked, hollándaise sauce was rich and buttery. Baked French onion was amazing two layers of melted cheese on top. My friend had the lamb shank also amazing, for appetizers we had the snails and Calamari they did not disappoint. And to push us over the edge we had a pink squirrel and a strawberry shaum torte. Highly recommend!

The ambiance, decor, service, drinks, and food are always top notch at the Hobnob! Such a perfectly classic supper club experience, you almost forget what year it is as you're transported to the Rat Pack era for a few hours. We even went for Thanksgiving dinner and may just make that an annual tradition it was so wonderful!

I have eaten here before and had an absolutely amazing experience. I couldn’t wait to come back. We came with a large group of 9 on a Wednesday night. We all ordered entrees. Broiled whitefish, different steaks, lamb and ribs. Every item was mediocre at best. My mom’s steak was cooked well when she ordered medium. We were charged for every pop refill as well as every blue cheese olive. Seems excessive when you are spending an average of 50.00 per entree. The food was lukewarm. The only excellent part was the pink squirrel. I’m flabbergasted at how I could have 2 totally different experiences as the same spot. I’m not certain I will be back. Our portion of the bill was 270 for 4 people. That deserves way more than a mediocre meal.

I had high hopes for our New Year's Eve dinner at the HobNob, unfortunately, it was not the greatest. The atmosphere seemed really nice and service was good (meaning our server). That being said, our main dishes were subpar The good parts: I had a kettle martini, dirty with olives, and my husband had a couple of old-fashioned sours with whiskey. They were tasty drinks. We got the calamari appetizer, and that was fried to perfection and very light with good flavor. The aïoli went well with it. And we had the French onion soup, but they upcharged you for the small crock with the cheese and so we did not order those. The French onion soup with the sprinkle of cheese was OK. They also up charge on New Year's Eve for a vegetable to come with your meal, which I found interesting for supper club where everything is supposed to come with the meal. Seven extra dollars for asparagus? Really? I wouldn't complain if it was all à la carte and prime meat, but it was not. The fresh bread was good and salads were fine. I ordered the fillet Oscar. I was seriously disappointed. It's supposed to be one fillet of 6 ounces topped with hollandaise sauce and crab and asparagus. I got three tiny medallions, topped with a little bit of fishy crab (yuck) and bland hollandaise sauce. Because they were tiny medallions they were overcooked. There was no seasoning on them. The presentation was poor. My daughter had the prime rib, and she said it was OK. It was tough for her to cut through even though it was rare. She's not used to that and it was tougher to chew. My husband had veal, and he said that was good, but nothing to cry home about. One other complaint was that we went on the website multiple times before heading down, and they never said anything about a trimmed down menu. They downsized it, so the dish my husband originally wanted to get, the lamb, was not a part of the menu. We were not able to order an ice cream drink which is supposed to be one of their specials. These are things that they should note on the website for NYE, before letting people make reservations with a packed house and a downsized menu. There were quite a few items missing from it. We were bummed. It definitely was not the worst experience that I have had, as the service, drinks ans apps were goof and I'd be willing to try them again. BUT, for a New Year's Eve dinner that was over 300 bucks. I would have to say that I'm disappointed. I have had better at steak houses and was just at a pop-up supper club in Milwaukee It was fantastic compared to this. Hopefully they will see this review and make note of changes. My picture shows the poor presentation. As this is a drive for us I'm not sure when we'll be back.
Classic WI supper club
Classic WI supper club w/ perfect view of Lake Michigan. Big place hosting a few work parties in a variety of rooms. The bar has a large scenic window looking east over Lake Michigan. The menu is expansive and covers everything. Our party had an assortment of filets, Whitefish, and Prime Rib entrees. This is the perfect example of the WI Supper Club - get here early for a few drinks at the bar, enjoy the hot bacon dressing or seasonal soups prior to the entree, and get the relish tray to kick off the dining experience. This pplace even carries a bit of the Regal Beagle vibe.

Great steak and lobster, very good rolls and soup .salad was only ok for a great restaurant like this. Awesome waitress ( Dominic ) spot on with service and personality .looking forward to returning

Average and expensive supper club
After numerous people raved about this supper club we decided to make the 45 minute drive to try it out. There were 6 of us. Very disappointing. Poor service- no follow up and drinks took 10-15 minutes. The drinks were best part of the meal. Cold hot bacon spinach salad. Soup was cold. Tenderloin ordered medium rare and came medium well. Sent back and brought one that was medium and almost cold. Steak au poivre was tough and smothered in gravy. Lamb shank average. Tournedo of Tenderloin was tender and good. Overall - expensive and so average. Would definitely not return.
Has it all
If the supper club is good, you stay for more than an hour, we stayed for 3.5 hours. Always start at the bar for a cocktail, this bar had an incredible view of Lake Michigan. The Bartenders we experienced and had great quips. Great drinks. Dinner started with a relish tray and this one didn’t disappoint (included pâté, which puts it at the top of relish trays). All entrees come with soup & salad. This club offers 2 types of French Onion soups (as well as other soups), hot bacon dressing for the salad. All great Supper Club staples were available. The table ordered the filet, the whitefish, the duck, and the weinerschnitzel - all were great. Gotta have the ice cream drink and I had the Brandy Alexander. I will be back with friends as the location and venue is accessible and comfortable.
Not my favorite
The good stuff: The traditional relish tray, rolls, baked french onion soup and salads were great, really, really cool decor and a beautiful view of the lake. The not so good stuff: The hostess was nowhere to be found, we waited and waited. We finally just went to the bar and caught up with her later to find out where we were going to be seated. The general feel from the staff was one of disorganization. The service was EXTREMELY slow. Our server "forgot" to put our drink orders in twice. She disappeared for 20-30 minutes multiple times. Our entrees were average at best. Dinner took a total of 3 hours and we opted to skip dessert since it had been so long already. We're supper club people and in terms of food, this was our least favorite. In terms of decor, probably our favorite.

Get rid of Heidi The hobnob is supposed to be the absolute best supper club in the area. We thought the food was OK there brandy Alexander‘s were spectacular. Most supper club accoutrement was just fine. Unfortunately they charge for their relish tray which seem to be a slap in the face of supper clubs And supper club followers my papers, it took forever to get our food and throughout the entire meal, Heidi was the rudest person I have ever had serve me in a high end establishment. She was short with us dropped food on the table, wouldn’t take away used flatware wanted us to reuse it. I would recommend the restaurant avoid Heidi.
What a disappointment!
We were so looking forward to this historic supper club. What a disappointment! First, at 7:00 pm they were out of the Friday night special of walleye pike, which had been a major reason for going there. Second, after reordering (because the kitchen hadn’t informed the new waitperson about the walleye), we got the soup and after waiting 45 minutes and the disappearance of our waitperson, our salads arrived. We finally finished dinner 2.5 hours later. The food was fine, nothing to rave about. The restaurant in general seemed poorly managed: the kitchen wasn’t communicating to waitstaff or staging orders correctly; there was trash on the carpet going to the restrooms; the bussing area, in full view of patrons going and coming, had dirty linens piled high on the floor and dirty dishes on the tray while at least three staff were standing around chatting. Altogether an unpleasant experience.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Has anyone found a way to get a question answered? From what I can tell there is no way to get in touch with anyone that works at/for AT. Other than the occasional admin posting a consultation offer here and there they are non existent. A lot of people have the same issue I have where we cannot cash out earnings. I cannot get my warning medal removed even though I am under the threshold. Sad to say but seems like AT is holding up everyone’s funds currently. Very scary and makes me wonder….Please reply if you read this admins and can help. Tried every way possible to get in touch

I accepted a bid for a popular restaurant in Los Angeles only to receive a phone call shortly thereafter informing me that the reservation had been canceled due to it being listed on AT. I of course need to subsequently cancel the reservation on AT but get this warning that my status will be negatively affected for doing so. I've reached out to customer support about this several times with no response, not sure what to do in this station. Hoping someone can advise.

I have a prepaid reservation, but I'm allowed to transfer that reservation to others for a price that I set (up to the total price I paid).
For selling POSTPAID reservations, do I charge the buyer the full amount of the reservation when transferring? And then the buyer pays something on top of that (which is what is listed in the AppointmentTrader listing?)
Major Issue for Seller
My money is being held hostage! Can you please remove my refund medal as I am below the 11% threshold and should be able to withdraw my full daily amount now? I have been teying for a long time to get a reply on this. Major issue for people looking to do good/right like you ask and make positive sales. Being able to access earned revenue is critical and not getting any reply is very concerning for your sellers. Lot of other people having the same issue. Once below the threshold you should auto remove the warning medals.

Just wanted to put this out there as I find it quite weird. AT will hold money if your sell through rate is to low. I find this strange as you would think that sell through rate should reflect more on AT not marketing their site well enough to generate sales. It seems weird to punish sellers for listings not selling.

Banned from Resy for selling reservations- Do we have a rat on our hands???
I am new to this app and started off by selling a polo bar reservation and then quickly sold one more reservation. Not long after I received emails from Resy saying all my reservations are cancelled and I am being banned from Resy for life. How could this have possibly happened without a rat telling Resy that I sold the reservation. I need some advice on this situation and let’s catch the rat!
