Surprising experience
With a group of friends we were looking for a high end experience and booked the Hispania. We indeed found a high class restaurant with attentive service in a very comfortable environment. Menu is sophisticated Spanish, and dishes turned out to be excellently prepared and presented. The bill was surprisingly affordable compared of our expectations. Definitely one to recommend in Brussels.

Wow! We came here for my partners Birthday for dinner, the food, the service, it was all amazing. What a great find. If you’re in Brussels this is an absolute must. I had the croquette to start followed by the lamb, it was all delicious, cooked to perfection. We’d ordered a Sauvignon to accompany the meal which unfortunately they didn’t have so we tried the managers recommendation instead, the man knows his wines. It was perfect.

My wife and I visited Hispania Brussels in August. I had already read a lot of positive reviews about Hispania so I decided to give it a shot and order a table via “The Fork” application. What to say.. the food was just great. Fantastic taste, perfectly made and we definitely got our money worth. But what I want to say about this business is that is by far the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. You’re welcomed right away by a very friendly waiter and from the beginning you’re taken care of and they’re always making sure you have something to drink and/or if you need something. There’s basically no waiting time worth mentioning and you don’t feel like you’re missing anything as well. You’re missing out if you don’t visit Hispania Brussels

Christmas Eve dinner with family. Food was good and in line with price (140 Eur for a fixed menu).
Now, customer attention was horrible, like I have never experienced before. One of the servers, one that had half of her hair shaved and the other half with red-hair dyed, literally threw the check at us at the end of our dinner, telling us: “you have 10 min to leave” at 9.50 pm. Facing that unexpected bad gesture, we tried to put some nice attitude, and she went on and insulted us telling my family not to mess with her, as she had no humor that night because she had to work on Christmas eve.
Honestly, I don’t think anyone (client or not) deserves to be insulted and even less during such a special event like Christmas. I am happy to talk to the owner / manager and directly escalate the issue and to provide more details if this is helpful. My phone number is +44 7471 747110

We went on Christmas Eve, having made reservations weeks earlier on their website from the US. It was a Fixed Menu (140€). Sadly, I was not made aware that this would be the case til we were actually seated. I was really looking forward to many of the dishes shown on their site & lovely reviews.
The tasting menus was not my thing. Nor was it my moms or my husbands. I liked one dish, and tolerated the rest. The maitre'd was lovely!! Very very nice, but he could tell we were 'polite' eating. When he asked if we were not happy, I explained that we had no idea it was a fixed menu & I showed him the reservation confirmation. I added that these selections were not something any of us would have ever chosen. He expressed his apologies & asked if we wanted something else.
Uhm.. like what?? The chef is churning out this tasting stuff and nothing else. It's a pity becuz I have no doubt I would have LOVED the plates I would have chosen for myself.
We did eat a lot of bread, tho. So that helped
In the end, I was pretty disappointed that we were none the less handed the bill in full. Including the cost of the 3 wines
Won't return.
To be Clear..
I have no problem paying hundreds for a meal. I often do. I did the 3nights before. But had I known this menu, I would have immediately declined.
