Lovely staff.
Cracking place. The breakfast is better quality compared to other carvery style pubs in my view. They have HP sauce for a start, rather than a bowl of tasteless brown goo. The kids’ area was a nice touch too. My kids (5&3) played before and after breakfast. The highlight however was the staff. They were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful.
Family fun
Nice people, good service, good food. Our son loves the disco and playing with the other children. Good for families with young children.
Good food at a very reasonable price
Lovely place for an evening meal with friends and family. Nice pleasant background music, quiet on a Monday evening, but still good atmosphere. Three of us had carvery meal, all cooked well and tasty. Plenty on our plates for a very reasonable price. Desserts good too, lots of choice. Staff helpful and pleasant.
Family of ten, special birthday
Good carvery, but that's where it ends, hardly any staff, the queue at the bar was ridiculous as there appeared to be one person serving. They expect you to use the app to order, even when we did it took at least 20mins for the drinks to arrive. The poor chap carving the meat was also on his own, and had to leave to replenish the beef and Yorkshire puddings, normally you'd have a helper. Then despite it being obvious that we'd finished our mains, it took a good while for the table to be cleared so that we could have the birthday cake, even though we'd handed it in when we arrived, we had to bring it over ourselves and ask for plates! Most decent restaurants will bring the cake over with the candles lit and actually stay to sing Happy birthday, all in all I will most definitely NOT be returning or recommend it to anyone. Everywhere needs a lot of TLC, filthy stained chair covers, wobbly sticky tables. I now know why the carpark wasn't busy and no real queue for the carvery, which is unusual on a Sunday. Good luck staying open !!

Home from home
A regular spot to meet friends and always a great evening. Can’t beat a carvery , John is always really welcoming and efficient and checking everything is as it should be , feels like visiting friends. As a vegetarian great to have a wide selection of veg and love the red cabbage 😍 . Here’s to our next visit
Very Enjoyable Sunday Lunch
Thank you to Rosie, and the team. Had a lovely lunch yesterday. My sister has diet intolerances and Rosie was very helpful with advice in relation to allergens. The kitchen were very accommodating with providing vegetables without allergens on. Thank you very much.

Nice place to pop into to have a cuppa and cake while waiting to have my car sorted. Great cars to look at round here too! Cakes are huge! Tasty but big! 😆 Advise you to have one between two. Good friendly service too. Rosie was lovely - thank
Good food and service
We came this evening for a family meal. The restaurant was clean and well presented. The meals were hot and fresh. We were served by Kieran he was polite and pleasant. Fantastic young lad a credit to the company

Wonderful meal here as usual. Nice food and huge drinks (lemonade and coke). Reegan looked after us and swapped a burger no problem which was really nice - she was great. We come here all the time and will be back.

I met again today Victoria who is in management at the the Hillfield Farm and to honest.. she with her lovely personality and caring attitude is one of the main reasons now for going.. I hope she is valued? Well paid and on the promotion spine of the company .. you cannot buy such people.
Fantastic Carvery
Me and my family came to Hillfield Farm in for a Carvery and the chefs david and Shaun were lovely and the Carvery was fantastic.

We can today and had another great meal starters and mains (carvery) Served by Victoria and a pleasant young man we believe to be the son of Victoria (sorry forgot name) Everything was piping hot and fresh. We come Here for the food and service. Exterior of the pub well Presented and clean. Toilets clean Well done all at the The Hillfield x

My family along with my mum enjoyed afternoon tea and Lemon berry cake.The staff were very friendly warm and helpful.The 2 young ladies who served us wed 20 were outstanding.We will be back soon.

Improntu early evening meal treat.
We visited for an early evening meal. The Restaurant was very quiet when we arrived at 5pm so not surprising really. We both chose Rump Steak which was absolutely lovely. Cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed a drink from the bar. It is our local, within walking distance. Staff were friendly and we were served by Sarah.

Always a pleasure to visit this pub. Fantastic choice on the menu, and the carvery is always delicious. The cakes are also a massive bonus! 😊 John (Bar) is lovely and friendly (as are all the staff) but must say that John is always very helpful and cheerful. Thanks guys! Will be visiting again real soon.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
