Delicious French Brasserie
Delicious, excellent service , a trip to Paris in Adelaide. Tables to watch the world go by. Gluten free options including bread.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service
Amazing service, the staff are all lovely and attentive. Slightly cramped but adds to the atmosphere as the restaurant feels like a genuine French bistro. The food was incredible, came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The French onion soup while an entree can easily be a full meal, so good value for money. Overall a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend
Be the first to ReplyLovely Sunday brunch
What a lovely place to have a Sunday brunch with family, the staff are amazing very welcoming and efficient. Everyone in our party of 5 loved everything about it. We will return and we live an hour and a half away, so it must be good.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a delight
We popped into this quaint French style cafe for a late brunch on New Years Day and it was the second time we had visited. We loved the funky vibe, retro style dining, and Parisian feel of the outdoor tables. the tables are close together which makes you feel like you are eating with friends, it is intentional and works very well. The service was extraordinary with friendly attentive staff and quick service, even though they were almost full. The food was tasty with a distinct French vibe, and menu is extensive. The coffee was great. I love eating at a place where you are immediately put at ease by the waiting staff and they have a high level of customer service, which is rare nowadays. We love good coffee and cafes with a point of difference and this one hit the brief! We will be back.
Be the first to ReplySorry-Not Sorry for ruining your Xmas Lunch
Hey Juipiter called about 25 hours before our booking to cancel due to renovations. I was not advised when the booking was made that this was even planned let alone a possible reason for the booking to be cancelled. We had this booked for weeks for a once a year Xmas Lunch catch up and I am left with the prospect of finding something suitable with less than a day's notice in a very busy time of year and limited availability- which is why I booked well in advance! No offers to assist or compensate beyond booking another date - did you miss the point this was a once a year Xmas lunch?! Anyway your loss forever as we won't ever book at the restaurant again and certainly not recommend it to anyone! Bah humbug!

Perfect. Good food. Good service. Cute and cozy interior. Very friendly personal. We liked it and definitely recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyGreat breakfast
We had a delicious breakfast at this quaint French cafe/restaurant. It was like sitting on a street in Paris, from the tables and chairs on the footpath to the beautiful interior. Our breakfast dishes were freshly cooked and large!
Be the first to ReplyPretentious and rude
Met with a couple of friends at Hey Jupiter for coffee. The restaurant was empty bar one other patron and the owner/manager. We sat at one of the available tables and after about 5 minutes of ignoring us, the owner/manager came over to take our orders. I wasn't feeling all that well so decided I wasn't going to have coffee. My other two companions ordered a coffee each. This seemed to annoy the owner/manager. About 5 minutes after ordering, the owner/manager asked us to move tables because they needed the table we were on for other diners. This was strange given there was no one else there, but we complied and were moved to a cramped little table in the corner. About another 10 minutes passed while we were happily chatting away, before we realised that the coffees were taking a while. We politely asked about the coffees, at which point, the owner/manager asked me specifically to leave. He said that since I wasn't ordering anything I would have to leave as they needed to keep the seats free for paying customers. He said he wouldn't serve my friends if I was still sitting there. Again, apart from one other diner, we were the only people in the restaurant. We asked if he was serious, which he confirmed he was. We all left and cancelled the coffee order for my two friends. Would give 0 stars if the platform allowed. Owner does not deserve your business.
Be the first to ReplyI wish I could recommend
I wish I could give it more! The decor is beautiful the vibe as you go in is greatโฆ But then the service which is variable at best - service with arrogance if you are lucky - the food is ok - although was that tinned beetroot in the salad? Unfortunately there is better food elsewhere, and friendlier service anywhere..
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed
With omelette as the only main course I would not describe this restaurant as vegetarian friendly . No starters except salad. In the past they had a lovely mushroom dish. The omelette was very disappointing. Others who ordered fish and beef enjoyed their meals which were comparable with previous positive experiences.
Be the first to ReplyPretentious with limited options
Pretentious and overpriced. Minuscule coffee serves and the menu only offers one alternative to dairy milk (no soy, rice, almond or coconut). The staff are not apologetic about this and were arrogant, acting as if they were doing us a favour. The outdoor tables are waaaaay too close together creating awkward conversation and Covid risk. Iโve been here twice and both times left before ordering food.
Be the first to ReplyGlad we didnt eat here
it was almost 3pm and we had already eatenโฆwe just fancied cocktails..at $23 they were not cheap but hey why not. Waiter was a little arrogant and although there were tables outside free he said we could only sit inside.. The table we chose inside he said might be used IF five people came in to eat. Only two other people were inside. At that stage I should have walked out but was polite. Two poor cocktails arose we were told the bill had to be bought to us prior to leaving.. As we left several tables were free. We didnโt eat here but on this basis whilst here on holiday we wouldnโt return. Lucky them.
Be the first to ReplyQuaint back street french style but
Not so friendly service was asked to move out of the way on entry however they were very efficient. Not a great selection on the menu unless one wants to drink lots of french wine. Food was pathetic for the price asked for a salad and got a no on that my partner did get a lettuce leaf. Overpriced wine by the glass. No cannot recommend for any Aussie.
Be the first to ReplyAverage
Lunch with colleagues- relaxing environment. But, overpriced everything! Small portions, nothing we ordered was more than average. Duck thigh & leg on small pile of potato slices, bland salad which lacked seasoning & flavour, omelette with lettuce & bread basket + 3 glasses of house wine = $145. Disappointed with lack of French portion generosity & oomph of flavour expected. Nothing โFrenchโ about food we ate. Mind you, the fresh bread served on the side was the highlight for me. Wonโt be going back and certainly wonโt be recommending. Better quality, portion size $ price at Delicatessen French Bistro!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful food, service and ambience
A wonderful experience! We had breakfast Saturday morning; the menu is varied, the food and service suburb, and each dish was exquisitely prepared. I would recommend this brassiere for any occasion!
Be the first to ReplyDisppointing and not what it used to be
This used to be one of my favourite French cafes in Adelaide but my past two visits have been very disappointing. Food very average, service efficient but not warm or welcoming. I donโt know whatโs changed but it seems to have lost its zing. Sadly I think that will be my last visit.
Be the first to ReplyGood but not that good!
Hey Jupiter had been on my list for a long time and we finally dined there last night. Wait staff were welcoming and knowledgable about the menu but not particularly attentive. Still not sure why they dimmed the lights as they gave us the menus! Menu was traditional and the wine list very extensive, although over priced. We all enjoyed our choices but the shock came at the end of the night with the bill. Entree serve of scallops (4) for $33 and 1 fillet of trout for over $40 was too expensive for what was badly presented but tasty. What left a bad taste was being charged $43 for dining on a Sunday!! We were not advised of this and now realised why they turned the lights down so we couldn't read the tiny print on the bottom of the shambolic menu. Beware there is ALSO another surcharge for using a credit card (who uses cash these days?).

What a gem to find in a little out of the way area. I really felt like I was back in Paris in a nice little restaurant. It has all the charm and decor, mirrors, close seating, French owner, even the toilet was at home in any in France. Food was excellent, beer and wine also top draw. A very enjoyable evening that took us both back to very enjoyable times in Paris.
Be the first to ReplyLittle piece of France
We dropped in for a late Sunday morning breakfast after staying in the city overnight. We were lucky to get a table as most people reserve. A couple of cocktails to start and a great selection of French breakfast style servings. Friendly efficient staff, can seem direct but most French are. We would highly recommend. Little piece of France in Adelaide.
Be the first to ReplyRude proprietor
One of the rudest and most unpleasant restaurant owners that I have ever met. He doesn't deserve your custom.
Be the first to ReplySo disappointing
Came here this morning for coffee with a friend, we ordered a flat white and a long black. Coffee came out promptly but the cups were literally only slightly bigger than espresso cups! We were like โwhat the?โ And Iโm not one for mugs of coffee either. But the size of these cups were ridiculously small. My flat white was half foam with about 2 tablespoons of coffee in the bottom. Coffee was weak too. At $4.50 for each teeny tiny coffee, we will not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyUnimpressive
I had heard good reviews but the experience was poor. The food was poorly presented and not great at all and totally over-priced. Wine was also over-priced.a dn service was fairly standard. Not a great experience.

I read a review which grabbed my interest. The French toast was soft and dripping with maple syrup. They did serve it with bacon even though I had requested without, minor point. I wanted something quick as had to attend Writers Festival events. Nice French ambiance.

Got lucky to get a bar seat for 2, advise to book a table for larger groups. Absolutely beautiful breakfast, coffee and ambiance. Enjoyed croque monsieur and French toast with bacon, was almost like eating breakfast in Gay Paris haha!
