The main complaint lies in the amount of seating/space
The main complaint lies in the amount of seating/space available. The food was amazing and well-seasoned. It seemed like they made their own tortillas/shells in house and that was a major plus !We also tried the cheeseburger and chicken fajita roja tacos which were both really good! It would be better if you could mix and match your tacos considering you get 4 per order, but we went on event day so it may be possible to do so when they're not working on a limited menu - if not, that would also be a great thing to add to the menu! We had outdoor seating and our waitress came very quickly (which was really nice considering how busy they were and how it's "seat yourself" seating). Also, it was pretty cold and weirdly misty out, but they had propane torches outside to keep everyone warm so it was overall a great experience!

It's what you'd expect if you've been to Guy's places before. I had the Diablo Shrimp Tacos. They were very good. The corn tortillas held up well. The shrimp was cooked well and complimented nicely by the pickled red onions and chipotle aioli. The heat crept up on the back end around the middle of taco#3. Perfect! The 4-taco basket is just right, satisfying, but not too much. The drinks were much pricier than the food, but I'd definitely recommend this as a great lunch spot or drinks and light dinner place.

Good location with lots to do around however the parking situation is limited unless you pay. I was excited to try this since I'm a big fan of Guy's Triple D show. The inside is fun and spacious. The staff were friendly. We stopped in on Sunday and there were barely anyone inside. The disappointing piece is the food. The menu is very limited. We ordered the tacos and they were street tacos which was not spelled out in the menu. I did like how you can split your order and get 2 chicken and 2 beef tacos. The only hot sauce offered was Tabasco, Tapatio and Cholula. The tacos flavor was OK - nothing special. For $3.50 extra you can order the tacos as a platter which means it comes with beans and rice. They were served in a side cup. The flavor was great though.

Eh. If it didn't have Guy's name on it this place would probably be closed. Everything is just meh. Service was fine, tacos were fine, the trash can nachos PASS, $15 for like 10 chips with a ton of beans sour crème and cheese. This restaurant is inside Power & Light so parking is terrible.
Be the first to ReplyTacos were a hit! Fun atmosphere and quick service.
A little pricy, but great flavor.
Be the first to ReplyTaco Bueno is better than this dump.
Horrible service Shit food warm beer. Couldn't get worse don't come here.

We thought this would be an awesome taco joint to visit since we were walking the area. We didn't realize we were ordering tapas tacos. Not great tasting. Tacos were cold. Shrimp tasted like it had just been taken out of the fridge. Ordered a large cheese dip which arrived in a half filled cardboard container which was nothing more than melted cheese, no flavor, barely warm. It was hard to dip a chip into a half filled cardboard container. Not impressed with this place and will not return.
Be the first to ReplyOur family are Triple D enthusiasts, so we've had this
Our family are Triple D enthusiasts, so we've had this restaurant on our list for a long time. Sadly, this visit was a disappointment. We went for lunch on a Sunday, right when they opened, so it wasn't very busy. At first our server was very attentive and took our order right away. After a few minutes, she returned and told us that their guacamole wasn't ready yet, so we could order a different appetizer. We told her we were in no rush, so we'd be happy to wait. After several minutes, another server came to our table and told us they were out of avocados, so they couldn't make any guacamole. This was odd, but even stranger since I ordered the Crispy Avocado Tacos and got those. We did wind up ordering an alternate appetizer, but we received our entrees first, and we had to ask three times if we would be receiving our appetizer. We went through long periods of not seeing our server, with empty water glasses, missing order components, and ultimately a desire to just get to go boxes and the check. The food was actually very good, and although our server was nice, the overall experience was pretty poor. Sadly, I couldn't recommend dining in, so maybe just get it to go.
Be the first to ReplyCame here after monster jam.
This place deserves 0 stars. The server seemed like she was on drugs being over active and talking 90 mph a minute. Overpriced for the small amount of nasty food you get. Overpriced $26 pitcher of margaritas for sweet and sour with very little alcohol. The cheese quesadilla was stuck to the paper and was cold. Did the mix and match 2 for 2 tacos and they were very small with no flavor. Go to your local taco joint instead because this place is not worth it. To be honest for it being Guys restaurant I should have been way more impressed. Very dissatisfied. Will never come back
Be the first to ReplyLooking for a place to watch the Chiefs game in the P&L
Looking for a place to watch the Chiefs game in the P&L district. Should have paid attention to the fact it was not terribly busy 20 min prior to kick off. They tout their margarita flights but 2 are pre-chosen and you choose from 2 remaining house margs. Pass. I got a tiny, roasted pineapple marg for $14. I will say the trashed nachos were delicious however that was the only thing. You can only choose 2 tacos flavors for 4 tacos. Way over priced for trashed nachos, pineapple marg, 8 total street tacos with (not true) borracho beans - $70. I won't be back.

Thought we'd try the restaurant because of guy's reputation, but I was sorely disappointed. The restaurant had music blaring so it was hard to hear my friends talk. I got two different kinds of tacos and both looked like they would be good, but we're essentially flavorless. My friend said the same thing about her tacos. They also have a full bar but do not carry cider. I will not be returning.

After putting off my first visit for over 3 years since they opened; I somehow found myself wandering around The Power and Light District on a dreary Saturday morning, so I decided to pull the trigger and finally put off the inevitable and give Guy a visit. My negative predisposition to Guy Fieri's Dive and Taco Joint is multi-pronged. First the name - you don't get to call yourself a "dive" when the place is a corporate concept to market a brand name. The location - The P&L is also an artificial entertainment district to lure in the suburbanites and tourists to part with their $. I also have a personal issue with Mr. Fieri - How in the hell did he end up in the Kansas City based BBQ Hall of Fame ahead of such local legends as Henry Perry, Arthur / Charlie Bryant or the Gates Family? Unbelievable and a slap in the face to this town. I visited just as they opened and sat at the bar and ordered 2 cheeseburger and 2 al pastor tacos for $9.99. The price point seemed great, but I soon discovered that these are miniature tacos, so the value was not as great as I first assumed. The cheeseburger tacos were an average ground beef offering; the best part was the hot fried crispy corn tortillas - a perfect "KC style" offering. The al pastor was excellent in flavor, but DO NOT expect what you would get when ordering al pastor at a real Mexican taqueria. The pork was more similar to pulled pork or carnitas than pastor. Although misleading in name, the flavor was suburb and mingled well with the onions and grilled pineapple and cotija with avocado salsa. The positives from the food were erased with the pathetic service. The gentleman that took my order disappeared without a trace and the other "bro" behind the bar completely ignored me - his only customer, while continuously flexing. Bottom-line: Save the $ and head on over to KCK and experience one of the 50 genuine dives featured on the Taco Trail while keeping the $ local.Food flavor and presentation - 4 starsAmbiance - 2 starsService - 1 starValue - 3 stars

I hate to leave negative reviews but this is quite possibly the worst food I have had in a very very long time and I am normally a huge fan of Guy Fieri restaurants.Ordered the burrito, looked great when it showed up though it was on the smaller more appetizer size of menu items. Burrito was to have a taquito in the middle so I expected a little crunch, it was so over fried and dried up I was unable to bite into it. Tried to eat around it and make the best of it but it was just basically guacamole and salsa slaw. While the food was terrible, kitchen was a little behind, took over 40min to receive my item. Staff were friendly and attentive and I could tell felt terrible but it is what it is.
Be the first to ReplyGlad I did not listen to the old Yelp reviews.
Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Orders of 4 tacos and you can split them 2x2. Had 4 different ones: cheeseburger (my favorite) carne assado (second favorite) shrimp and pork. All very good. Quac was plentiful and well priced. Definitely keep this on the list of places to return to next we are in town

The food was absolutely amazing, but the service was terrible. After we find a seat, we waited about 20 minutes before a server even approached the table. I got up twice asking to see a server before she came out. I ordered apps and drinks and the appetizer came out before I received drinks!! The server took way to long to bring out drinks and come to the table. Amazing food, great location but poor service kind of bummed me out on a night out.
Be the first to ReplyTacos were pretty good all things considered.
I won't be back due to the bar feeling, blasting music, $7 domestic beer, and grimy feeling. Average restaurant in Power and Light but honestly tacos were decent if that's what you're looking for.

Cool place! Overpriced, cold, slow, tiny portions, no toppings, no cheese nachos. (Trashcan nachos). My nachos from the gas station taste better. 45 minute wait for cold nachos, nobody was being served. Very disappointed in our visit will try somewhere else next time while downtown.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was good.
The trash can nachos were good but smaller than appeared on tv. The cheeseburger tacos were very good. Empanadas were good as well. My wife also tried the Blood Orange drink. Not up to the hype. Service was good. I would go back. Try on a Tuesday more specials available.

I know this place gets a lot of flack but I personally am a big fan. $10 for 4 tacos that are very filling seems like a good deal to me. They now let you mix and match so I had two cheeseburger tacos and two carne asada. The cheeseburger tacos are the winner here, a MUST GET. One thing I will say is that I wish you got complimentary chips. Other than that this place is one of my faves in P&L.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced.
Small options. Poor service. Didn't meet expectations, and my friends and I were disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyGood menu.
Tacos in many varieties and all the other things you get in a Tex-Mex spot. It's okay. There are real Mexican restaurants a little more than a mile away. So it's tough to compete. The celebrity chef connection will bring in a lot of people. The convention hotels are nearby so that will entice visitors. I prefer more authentic cuisine
