Be aware only one smoking area left inside the park
Used to be our favorite park, but now they start to follow the craziness of Disney, and there is only one smoking area left in the park, close to the entrance. There should be at least two or three of them to make the stay enjoyable for all guests, especially if you have problems with walking (disabled).
Be the first to ReplyA day break from Disney
First time back here for 6 years and the rides were top notch. We rode Velocicoaster, Hulk, some drop, Spiderman and the kids did Harry Potter and some water rides. I like their locker system once we learned the deal. Some great thrill rides! Actually thought their Marvel store is better than Disney's with memorabilia.
Be the first to ReplyReally nice rides .
This place is by far the best of all 3 parks . The incredible hulk ride is the green one you see here in the review profile pic . It is fun. All the "Islands" are well thought out and took serious creativity . I will return to this park in a heart beat . There is alot to see soo make sure you get here before they open . If you have a whiner for a wife or kids that drag and mope around , you know better and know what im saying ! lol
Be the first to ReplyBad Scooter Rental Experience
The Isle of Adventure rides were all fine. I especially like the Reign of Kong. But beware if you have to rent an ECV scooter like my husband did. The captain at the dock gave us a wheel chair to get to the entrance of Isle of Adventure. We rented the ECV. When we returned the rental at the end of the day the staff there didnโt want to give us a wheel chair to get back to the dock. One person said it was not their problem and I replied that it was their problem and that you can not strand a person. It would have been a terrible, painful hardship for him to even try to walk that long distance. Begrudgingly a staff member got a wheelchair after pleading with them for a long time. The looks on their faces? Unprofessional! I saw another man on a crutch being told the same thing and he limped away on his crutch. The food staff look miserable all the time. Like they donโt want to be bothered I suppose smiles are expensive. The rides were fine and fun like I said earlier but watch out for the people at the guest services. They donโt want to do their job.

Just got home a little while ago and HAD to share my experience it was our first time going to universal we arenโt the richest family so me and my family have been planning and saving up to be able to go during spring break and it was a dream come true! But oh my god the crowds were horrible! There were people EVERYWHERE and it was hard for me and my parents to navigate through the crowds since they were both on electric scooters because they canโt stand for very long, we werenโt able to do very many rides because of it, I canโt push both of my parents through the queue and my father cant push himself in a wheelchair very far, whenever we asked employees for information or if there was any way to make our wait less stressful in the lines they were very vague with their answers and seemed uncomfortable and would always recommend for us to buy an express pass which would cut the wait times in half, I got on ripsaw falls and while I was waiting for my log at the front of the line after waiting ages I started clicking a button I have on my keychain for my adhd and one of the employees was so mean and told me to stop doing that that it was annoying him that and I just asked to leave without even grabbing his name from his nametag because I was embarrassed and felt so defeated, right after that we went to the King Kong ride where an employee name Christian however was very friendly and escorted us through the back so my parents would not have to wait in the 90 minute wait line and could ride with me and told us about the assistance pass we could get from guest services to wait the times outside of the lines which we used to get on Spiderman transformers and minions he was the only one we saw all dday willing to help us out I get that everyone was stressed in such large crowds and long wait times but it should Not give them the right to dismiss our needs to make this a good experience if you are going to go to universal studios florida and have any family with any type of disabilities get the assistance pass at guest services
Be the first to ReplyTrip 2 of 4, an improvement over last time
We live 2 hours away and this was our second trip. First was Thanksgiving week. This one was much better than the first. The express passes were worth it this time where I did not feel they were that last time because of poor execution by ride ops. This time they were for sure 1/2 or less time than standby with most much less than that. Staff were polite as usual so no issues there. Line jumping was not too bad this time, the occasional here or there and only one group of about 10 obnoxious teenagers decided to push through the line, mostly the boys being stupid and the girls with them apologizing as they push through. The group in front of me decided to block the last one through, a girl, and told her I guess she will have to ride alone. She looked embarrassed. Once the message was received, the group let her though but hopefully they will think twice and calm down for the rest of the day. It would be nice to see Universal monitor this better, but I get you cannot catch them all and hard to enforce, but at least stop the egregious ones. Another person decided to punch as hard as they could the barrier in the velocicoaster queue just before the lockers area as they were upset at the wait. Ride ops let them have it and threatened to kick them out. Apparentely they were mad at the wait as they were jawwing with ride ops about it. It was so loud, I am surprised they were not tossed. The little ice cream shop next to the comic strip cafe was open, but way understaffed. It took 30+ minutes to order and they ran out of chocolate. It would probably be best to not open it and move staff to another place. They also got my order wrong twice and finally I just said fine and took it as I was tired of waiting at this point. And the wrong ones they just threw away. You might as well offer to give it away rather than trash it, especially after a 30 minute wait and running out of chocolate. A dollars worth of ice cream given out would have been a positive experience for the wait rather than a negative one on tripadvisor. Overall an improvement and we are looking forward to our next scheduled trip June 13-15 and staying at Loews Royal Pacific. I do ask that you please ask whoever is in charge of weather to please postpone the daily thunderstorms during that time period :)

Definitely go again after doing universal then doing disney, would say universal is better in rides toilets and getting around. You miss so much in Disney unless you go all the time and know your way around
Be the first to ReplyFantastic
Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is just brilliant, fantastic rides, great atmosphere. Love it! We are regular visitors but have such a great time. The Hulk and Velocicoaster rides are simply the best!
Be the first to ReplyGreat fun for teens and adults.
Great park for teens and adults. So much to see and do, you'll want to spend a full day in the park and take time to visit all the characters throughout the day. Many rides you'll want to do repeat rides like the Hulk, Spiderman, and definitely take the Hogwarts Express both ways into the parks.
Be the first to ReplyBe aware smoking areas in the park are gone
Always has been a wonderful, relaxed and fun time, but now they closed all the smoking areas in the park! Just one close to the entrance is still in place - so we didn't stay as long as we used to, bought nothing and had nothing to eat. Hoping, that they don't follow the ways of Disney, would be very sad to drop another park. Maybe it it just temporary.
