A few friends recommended this place to me so we drove almost 2 hours only to have a rude grumpy old man that works the window tell us only 6 cars are allowed in at a time. He said the lot is full and we need to leave. I was asking if he had any recommendations for other places around the area, in a very rude way he said no. Well as I was having the conversation with this jerk, two cars were leaving so I asked if we could be let in to park and he said no and to leave. The person who runs this place really needs to reconsider who they have working there, this is only hurting business. I do not recommend going to this place only because of the horrible people that work there.
Be the first to ReplyThe old man at the gate hates people and his job.
Just a plain jerk. We pulled in to ask for information thinking a NP station is a safe bet and it turned out it wasn't. Not only was the guy unhelpful he had the entrance closed creating an unsafe turnaround situation and kept badgering us to leave quickly. Terrible place would not stop again. I hope the old man retires and begins to actually enjoy his life.

This is a less crowded spot for accessing Oak Creek and hanging out in the cool shade of the creek or at the accessible picnic site. There is a fee to park, and that combined with the lack of significant red rock viewing is likely why this spot does not draw crowds. We went on the last Friday in October which should be peak leaf viewing and there were only about 5 cars in the lot and no one using the picnic tables. You can access the trail system that runs up oak creek or follow the short and well marked trail down to the water and fish, rock hop, swim or just hang out. I saw one person cliff jumping, though not sure how safe this is. The picnic area and toilets were clean and not smelly though do not have running water.

This place is a great place to go after you've taken a hike or you want to just chill and relax. There's lots of rocks to sit and watch people jump off of the cliff, or you want to jump off the cliff. You do have to pay nine dollars to get in but it's worth it and at the end of the day it's just a drink or two at Starbucks so pay the fee and enjoy your time on your stay. Keep in mind that it does get very crazy because this is a tourist spot. The staff is super friendly, when we approach on a semi-rainy day. It was kind of perfect to head down to the rocks and walk in the water, it was cold at first, but perfect after a hike.As you're driving down to the grasshopper point Wasilla amazing views and if you're in the area I suggest that you go and check out the other water spots down steam.
Be the first to Replyi wish i could give 0 stars.
so ghetto and very dirty. my family and i are in town for a nice vacation and decided we wanted to cool off. found a nice picture of a watering hole and saw that it was "beautiful". well let me tell you. it's not. pictures are deceiving so be careful. there was lots of drinking, smoking, and partying while all we wanted to do was cool off on this hot summer day. i'm all for partying, but not at a tourist attraction. i'm very disappointed and dissatisfied. would rather go to a Sedona public pool.

Had such a great time. Highly recommend over slain rock. Get there early.
Be the first to ReplySo, no one taking money to get in.
..$9 exact change-cash not noted on the website. We got lucky we had cash in the car. Great rock jumping-rough path to get down to the creek.

00 to park and the creek was really nice with an excellent view . Can't wait to be back !!!
Be the first to ReplyFirst time coming here.
Beautiful spot. Very clean and lots of mini waterfalls. Bring water shoes if you have some. Family friendly. Make sure you get there when they open at 8am. Spots fill up quick. We left at 6am from Phoenix and got there a little before they opened and waited in a short line. They only accept cash so be ready with it. $9 dollars per car. I really enjoyed my time here. Great place to escape the heat!

We happened upon this hidden gem when we could not get into slide rock park. We loved this small swimming hole & creek. It was a great place to cool off and eat lunch. A highlight of our trip to Sedona. $8 for parking. Bathrooms in the parking lot. Short walk down a dirt path. Lots of people were rock jumping. Water was cold in June but refreshing. My kids 4 & 7 had a great time. Even though they can swim we had them in life jackets and were happy we brought them. Water shoes came in handy.

Ok so came by myself paid 9 bucks two walkers were hogging the booth ended up having a line finally they moved was able to get through. The creek it self was so refreshing I did not jump from the cliff but boy I wanted too. Overall it was a good experience and will def need to come with people and enjoy myself
Be the first to ReplySolo Traveler- ย I came here to eat lunch by the creek.
I guess I got pretty lucky in Sedona this weekend because it wasn't that crowded. At grasshopper point, there were three guys on the other side. Parking is pretty close by to the creek. I didn't see any trash while I was there
