This was an authentic experience overall with great drinks, but the duck was grey in color and not edible. The rest of the food was a minor disappointment for what I expected. Our server was excellent at their job and very accommodating, but unfortunately working while sick. Overall, not a great experience.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing! Atmosphere was fabulous.
The food was amazing and the service was on point. I wish the would do this year round and not just on Lunar New Year. Had an early dinner here over the weekend and it was wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful and elegant, and the service was really friendly and attentive. Delicious Cantonese food with a great ambience. I'll definitely be returning.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food.
Their teas are amazing! Also friendly staff with beautiful decor. Ambiance is high end but tables were a bit too close to each other.

WOW!Interior is beautiful and the servers were all top notch. Had a amazing waiter named Max.Ordered the XO Shrimp, beef tenderloin and a noodle dish. Each dish was of the highest quality and ingredients and perfectly cooked. The portions run on the small side so if your stomach hangs over your belt this place isn't for you. I like the smaller portions.I will come back again multiple times over the next months to try out new dishes.

Absolute Disappointment - GENTING PALACE in resort world Las Vegas. At noon on 01/29/2023, my friends and I encountered the worst restaurant in more than ten years of Las Vegas business travel + vacation experience. GENTING PALACE in Resort World Las Vegas.1.From the reception: three times delayed seating + the final 45mins of ultimate waiting. Total takes more than 2 hours back forward waiting. (During this period, it is not allowed to join the queuing system)2.Asian buffet, was asked to sit in the bar area when a table was available. After asking to be moved to a table, the area waiter refused service, saying the waiter was still the bartender. (How selfish is your management? All waiters have no reasonable coordination requirements and consumption allocation)3.The buffet was removed without notification, making the meal impossible to complete and adding to the poor experience. (Why host if you guys can't finish our meal time?) It only took 40mins from when we sat down to when we found out that there was no food. The whole service is just ineffective and rude, maybe this restaurant really has no shortage of customers. We have tried the buffet at 8.88, the buffet at 18.88, the buffet at 38.88 or More. Each of these restaurants has its strengths and weaknesses. However, this 88.88/Person GENTING PALACE seems to absorb and produce the shortcomings from all restaurants. If you are in Las Vegas for your trade show stay away from this restaurant unless your customers expect a bad experience. If you're hoping for a vacation, ask your family to find a better restaurant. Las Vegas has countless excellent restaurants and global cuisines, including of course this world's top junk restaurant. The final suggestion to Resort World Las Vegas, your casino and hotels are currently high-level services. Please pay attention to other details and investment behaviors, some black sheep will cause great harm to a huge business empire.Stay away from GENTING PALACE in resort world Las Vegas. Love & Peace.
Be the first to ReplyA pleasant experience for my first "strip-buffet" since
A pleasant experience for my first "strip-buffet" since Covid-19 began.I came across their two-weekend Lunar New Year brunch event after the first weekend and quickly made a reservation for one of the last remaining time slots.I arrived early and was still able to be quickly seated and was treated to excellent service and attention for the rest of my meal. I was repeatedly asked if I was enjoying the wood while my table was being consistently cleared and cleaned. All of the advertised offerings of crab, lobster, shrimp, prime-rib, duck, and roasted pork were in abundance and prepared at a delicious quality. I wish there were more dumplings and dim sum available; the shumai they offered was the only one worth repeatedly eating out of the four available. Fried rice, noodle and vegetable dishes were present and tasty, but due to the price of the meal they weren't as appealing as the main stars of the show. Made to order sushi was available but it had the taste, texture, and quality of grocery store sushi. The dessert table was a nice sweet ending to my meal but none of them were individually labeled so I had to guess what they were by taste and sight.I definitely got my money's worth and was almost tired of eating all the shellfish that was available. Almost. I'll definitely return next year if they have this special event again.

In celebration of Lunar New Year, my friend, Janet, hosted me to Genting Palace's 2nd Annual Dim Sum Buffet!Round One: King Crab legs, Jumbo Shrimp, and Lobster Tails piled high on a mountain of ice. All split and eat to eat. A delicious green goddess and red cocktail sauces on the side. And the pile of crustaceans never was never empty! I came back 2x for the lobster tails. Round Two: A typical array of Shu mai, Ha Gow, Steamed Pork Bau, and Sticky Rice. All good. Roast Duck, Pork Belly, and Crispy Pork are constantly being carved. Pork Belly and Baby Abalone in a Ginger Sauce was for the win!Round Three: Deserts. Mango pudding topped with Creme fresh was fabulous. Small cups 3x!Also available was prime rib, more Cantonese food (noodles, etc.), soups/salads, charcuterie, and breads. $88 per person. I'm coming back in 2024! Year of the Dragon!
Be the first to ReplyFood is just ok , nothing remarkable.
Service is good but slow. The ambiance is nice and the place is beautiful. I thought the food is like 2 steps up from Panda Express but overpriced for the size of serving. Their dim sum however was really fresh and delicious .
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I had an early dinner at Genting Palace
My wife and I had an early dinner at Genting Palace recently and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. We started with the truffle seafood dumplings as an appetizer and XO shrimp, Chilean sea bass, and truffle crab fried rice for entrees. Dessert was a mango custard topped with passion fruit, kiwi, coconut. The food was superb, but the night was made extra special by our waiter Jer. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations for us based on our preferences. Furthermore, he was very attentive for the duration of the meal, in addition to being very warm and welcoming.
Be the first to ReplyThis food was amazing!! Our server, Jer was wonderful.
He provided a lot of great suggestions, I think we ending up ordering everything he suggested. He gave great details on the food and explained what sauces would be a good mix. He also gave us suggestion on places to go to within the restaurant. It was a great experience and made me feel very luxurious.
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service at Genting Palace is first class.
Peking duck is one of the best things we have. The only reason the restaurant doesn't get 5 stars is because they tried to "fast pull" which we didn't appreciate and is disappointing for such a top establishment.Peking duck comes in 2 courses: the first is the traditional pancake. You are then offered the choice of cutting off the rest of the duck to eat the bone, or they claim you can cut off the rest of the duck and put it in.A cup of lettuce. The waiter, who was very nice and efficient, encouraged us to order the lettuce cups as they are less messy and lighter. And so we did. What came out of the kitchen was not our cupped duck. It was delicious but basically minced duck in a cup of lettuce. Hardly the rest of our duck. I'm still wondering what happened to our duck because there was still a lot left after the traditional pancakes were done. Then, to our surprise, after paying $118 for the duck, we were charged an additional $22 for the lettuce cup. At no point did our waiter tell us about the addition of something that he encouraged us to try (I prefer to eat the rest of the duck off the bone but was willing to try something new.)When I questioned the charge, they eventually removed it from the bill, but I felt cheated.Management should rectify this immediately by setting up an appendix on the menu.We are "foodies" and always looking for the best food. It is worth visiting Genting Palace ifYou're in the mood for upscale Chinese food with a price tag to match, but watch out for bait and switch Vegas-style!
Be the first to ReplyThis review was for restaurant week.
For $80 I got 4 pieces of dim sum, a main dish that consisted of a handful of bland noodles (think panda express chow mein) with a few pieces of roasted/bbq pork, and a dessert of sliced fruit with dip. We also ordered the soy sauce chicken, crispy pork belly, and scallops. The scallops had an ammonia aftertaste and only 2 pieces were consumed, it was nasty. The chicken was basic and the crispy pork belly was basically the same as you can get in chinatown at over double the price.Hands down the biggest scam for restaurant week I've ever experienced in the many years I've participated. If you're looking for good chinese food just head to the food court, there are much better options there including the claypot rice place. Avoid Genting Palace like the plague.

I highly recommend this spot - our server Jer was on point with all his recommendations starting from the Cherry Blossom signature cocktail to the combination appetizer, Yang chow fried rice, steamed Chilean Sea Bass and Sweet & Sour pork pairings. I was already tapped out by the end of the meal, his dessert recommendation also sounded delish but I could not handle any more food! We definitely have to come back!

As a Vegas local we have had the opportunity to eat at many Asian restaurants in the city. We were attending the Journey concert at Resorts World and had seen this restaurant previously so decided to give it a try. We usually like to go to the Famous Food Street Eats in RV to pick a variety of Asian flavors..well Genting Palace also delivered. We shared BBQ Duck, Sea Bass and Yang Chow Fried Rice. Each had a unique flavor not typical of any regular Chinese food we had tasted before. We were told that the Executive Chef had worked in many Five star restaurants around Asia and the flavors were influenced by his experiences. We were also impressed by the service which has been lackluster at most restaurants here in. Vegas since things have reopened. Everyone was welcoming, informative and courteous. Lastly, their version of Coconut Baked Alaska was the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. Our bill was close to $200 for two, which is standard now for fine dining on the Strip.

This is a high end Chinese restaurant and it ain't cheap BUT the place is great for a nice dinner or special occasion. The place is decorated very nice and the service is terrific. Staff was on the spot whenever we needed anything. The food is amazing. We tried the Pan-Seared Pork and Shrimp Dumplings, King Pao Chicken, Wok Fried Scallops and the Yang Chow Fried Rice. Next time I'll definitely try the Peking Duck!
Be the first to ReplyIn a word, SPECTACULAR.
Yeung Chow fried rice was to die for, the pan seared shrimp and pork dumplings were ON POINT. Jer, our server, provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu options. The restaurant and vibe are A+++++ . Will definitely be back!

I came here for dinner during my stay in Vegas at Resorts World. The food was really good! I think it was a bit more traditional than your typical Chinese Americanized restaurants and it was bomb. Great service too!

I'm not sure how this place wasn't booked solid! It was outstanding! The restaurant is located in Resorts World which is on the newer side. We had a party of 5 at the last minute post trade show. It was one of the only restaurants we could find. We arrived and were taken to our table right away. It looks very beautiful with all the tables already set with light beige table clothes and beautiful green and gold china. The chairs were also very cool...a yellow greenish color with a walnut wood. The "silverware" is actual beautiful and all gold. Each setting also has a pair of white and black chopsticks. We started with cocktails and wine, they were all excellent. We then decided to start with Dim Sum. It did not disappoint. We ordered BBQ pork buns, pork and shrimp dumplings, shrimp spring rolls, siu mai to start. We added the Kirin Chicken, Fried Rice and stir fried shredded beef. The stand out was the Kirin Chicken. I really wish that I could get that recipe...I'd make it every.single.day! It was soooo good! We finished the night with dessert the custard and the almond float. Both were really great. I can't wait to go again. I will definitely be back.

Best dining experience we have had in a long time! From the moment we walked in we were greeted and spoiled by all staff members! Our waiter Victor was AMAZING! He educated us Chinese culture and customs that we loved learning about! The food was all so wonderful and for dessert we had a pineapple baked Alaska that was to die for! The decor was beautiful too. We did not want to leave! Would highly recommend!!

While Resorts World was an absolute bust, this restaurant redeemed everything for me. The food, the decor, the staff (waiter and bartender were the kindest people I've ever met); everything was perfect. I mean it when I say authentic, this is TRULY authentic Chinese cuisine, and I'd recommend it over a few other Chinese restaurants in the hotel or others on the strip. Absolutely in awe of how amazing everything was. Surpassed my every expectation.
