Very good Persian restaurant
Donโt be put off by the neighborhood or the outside of the restaurant. This is a very good, authentic Persian restaurant with some unusual dishes. Also, the waitstaff are very kind and helpful (I think our server was Amirโhe was lovely). If in Santa Monica/LA again, I would go back. My only critique would be to serve less rice and add vegetables to the kabob dishes. (The kabobs were huge and delicious).

As a Turkish person I did enjoy the quality of food, friendly service very much. Food is served more than enough. The price was very inexpensive for the quality of the food. It was delicious. I highly recommend to everyone who likes Persian food.

Cozy Persian restaurant with normal setup and decoration. We have ordered kebabs and Shabzi rice and another type of rice, shabzi murqe, some starters but all the taste is not as should be, unfortunately i never expected that & was disappointed. Not recommended

My family goes to Sholeh every Saturday for lunch and it has become a tradition I look forward to more than anything. Hector and Amir truly make us feel like weโre royalty whenever we eat there. The food is delicious, the service is unmatched, and we always have leftovers to enjoy for days. Couldnโt say enough about this place!!!

Four of us had dinner there and were amazed at the variety of Persian foods that was offered. The service was fast and the bread is made freshly there. Their various Kabab dishes were great, and also their stews like Gormesabzi.

The worst Persian food I ever had
My wife and I came from Chicago to Los Angeles just to eat Persian food and were very disappointed with this place. I ordered gheymeh bademjan which was basically boiled eggplant with lemon juice. My wife ordered ghormeh sabzi which was boiled herbs with uncooked meat and was very bitter, even the rice was bad. My wife is not Persian and overall a bad cook, but even her Persian cooking is better than this place. We were sick for hours. I canโt imagine in a neighborhood full of Persians this place is actually in business

This is a nice somewhat fancy restaurant. They make their own bread, and it comes with onions and butter. I could get filled up just from that. The meat was tender and the portions were quite big, especially the rice!

The food was very good:
The home baked bread is really good and it goes well with kashk-o-bademjoon; although, the kashk-o-bademjoon was a bit on the bland side. I thought it needed more good quality kashk.
The tahdig was a bit too hard. The waiter warned me about it and told me that it didn't come out good, but I wanted to try it. He was right! It was VERY hard, but after a few minutes, he brought us another batch that was excellent. We had it with gheymeh. The gheymeh doesn't come meatless. I had forgotten to tell the waiter that my daughter was vegetarian, so he brought some vegetarian bademjoon, which was totally unexpected, since the bademjoon does not even come with tahdig! Kudos to the waiter and the cooks!
The chenjeh kabab was outstanding! The best I've had in Los Angeles. I've been to Raffi's and all of Westwood/Valley Persian restaurants. This one was the best! Very good quality filet, no fat, very clean meat and done perfectly. The amount of rice was above average. The vegetables could be grilled a little more, but still very good.
We had a non-Iranian guest with us who ordered the chicken koobideh with half salad, half rice. The salad looked like a meal by itself! It had so many different vegetables in it: beets, pineapples, radishes, etc...in addition to the usual lettuce, cucumber, tomato! And the half rice looked like a full rice to me!!!
The waiter and busboy were very attentive, personable, and courteous. I wish I had asked the waiter's name to mention it here, but he made us feel welcomed. (The young, on the taller side guy)
The only 2 complaints that I would make are the fact that the place was too quiet and at the beginning it was too warm! I think they need to play some soft Persian music and set the temperature to a comfortable level. They did turn on the AC a little later, though.
I would definitely recommend Flame Persian Cuisine and visit them again!
Could have been much better
Busy street, not easy to park close by. Not bad looking place, well turned out waiting staff. Menu is ok for this type of food. Unfortunately the results were just not fabulous. The chicken tasted like yesterdayโs reheat, the lamb clung stubbornly to the bone and we ended up asking for a refund. The hummus was good but truthfully the whole meal was not inspiring.

Great food and service. First the table bread was very good โ nice and warm. The Tahchin was excellent and the kebab was melt in your mouth good. The portion size was large. The server was friendly and efficient.
