Great bagels!
Having grown up in an area where bagels were outstanding to living in an area where they generally suck I must say I was surprised at how good this place was. Bagels are excellent. Egg and cheese on a bagel is great. Cream cheese in a bagel perfect. Service was fast even though a long line. Prices are fair. Will certainly be back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat bagels - but there’s a cost
Bagels here are excellent, but expensive. Staff are efficient, but rude. $10 credit card minimum announced on a sign at the register when it’s too late. They just happen to have an ATM (not associated with a bank) where you can add even more to your payment experience (and they can too). I now go to Bruegger’s on Wilson: easier parking, nicer staff and equally good, lower cost bagels.

Great bagel and cream cheese selection as well as other toppings! Everything was delicious! We went every morning during our visit to Arlington.

Had several bagels across the states and this certainly stands out as one of the best with decent coffee too!! Very popular with the locals so it was an obvious choice. Lots of filings too and very friendly and helpful staff......particular towards my wife who got caught in a downpour and the staff were good enough to help her dry off with towels etc. Cheers. Would have given 5 stars but for the cramped and tight seating and eating area. Minor niggle only tho!!

It doesn't have a cutesy name or DC cache, just really good bagels (for DC). Efficient service weekend mornings (I've never see na mountain of bacon that huge); great stop before perusing the Courthouse farmer's/flea market on Saturdays.

This place makes great bagels! It also has some character. I spend a lot of time, and eat a lot of bagels, in NYC; some are great some not good. So comparing these to a "real" NY bagel is a folly. These are very good on any scale.
Be the first to ReplyShould not have NYC Name Associated With It
I came here to get a bagel for breakfast and some coffee. I guess I was too short because the guy helped the man behind me instead of me? When I ordered a bagel sandwich with cream cheese, egg, and bacon, I was really excited to dive in. Once I got home, had a sip of coffee, and dug in I was disappointed. Coffee was not worth it- just your generic coffee. The bagel itself was decent but was almost hard as a rock but the amount of toppings was awful- they put cream cheese on one side so lightly I questioned if it was there at all. If you have ever been to NYC, you know when you ask for a bagel with cream cheese you get a TON, not a measly spread. Since they only take cash and the bagel was mediocre as hell, not sure how people would continually come here.

We live in miami and never get a good bagel. We always say NYC has the best bagels. NYC still has the best bagel but I do enjoy the bagels here. You can watch them make the bagels and they come out excellent. There are many options. I’m kind of boring so I always get the asiago bagel with egg and cheese. They did not have a asiago bagel this time so I got the whole wheat was good but not as enjoyable as the Asiago. I have only been there on a weekend and it is always busy the line moves quickly so make sure u know what u want when it is ur turn. There are about 10 tables, first come so grab when u walk in and let some one in the party to order. I always come here for a bagel when I visit DC. FYI the coffee is terrible.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful New York style bagels
I come here several days a week for the bagels. They are excellent. They are big, satisfying, and not fluffy and pumped with air like the bagel chain stores. I would give this store 5 stars if they were to sell tofu cream cheese. But, be warned. They only accept cash, no credit cards.
Be the first to ReplyCome here for breakfast if you’re visiting!
Was visiting DC and wanted a NYC-style breakfast bagel. This place hit the spot! Soft, freshly baked and well seasoned. Bacon was crispy. Ask for an extra egg if you get it as a sandwich so the bread doesn’t overpower the overall flavor. Also look at the bagel bins for varieties not listed like the whole wheat everything. Even with 20 people in line on a Sunday morning we got our sandwiches in under 5 minutes. Would come here again.
