Very good and to repeat
It perfectly met expectations. Everything was very good, pleasant atmosphere, surprising flavors... We took the long menu, but it doesn't get boring. Perfect!!

Not worthy of a 2 star. Lots of staging for a disappointing result. Bad Value for money. Freshness and flavors were missing... The service was professional and friendly.
Be the first to ReplyA very disappointing 2 star experience
Our whole party had such high expectations. We have been to plenty of Michelin Star restaurants and few 2 star ones so we were expecting a gastronomic delight for the €175 menu. In a 2 star restaurant I would expect a balanced menu with mixtures of taste and texture. I would expect that all dishes would be presented across each customer exactly the same with the same portion size and content, this was not the case. We had 10 courses. Out of the ten, at least 2 had eel as the principal ingredient and the first course also had eel in it. We told the restaurant we did not want 3 courses of eel and so we were offered a rabbit dish but we had already had 2 other dishes with rabbit. Not only were ingredients repeated but all of the savoury dishes were of a similar soft texture. Now some of the issue could be put down to it not being our taste of food and if one course had been eel it wouldn’t have been a problem. The service was efficient, professional if not friendly. The wine flight was varied and interesting and the sommelier was friendly and informative and a good fit with the ingredients. At the end of the meal we told the restaurant that we were very disappointed with our experience, particularly the food and the repetition of eel. We were told that unfortunately that’s what they do. With a tasting menu with obscure dish descriptions like “Reeds and Mud” or “Time Territory and Season” you can’t know what you are getting. Tasting menus are normally special and memorable, unfortunately this one will be remembered for the wrong reasons.

Unbelievable bad bad bad, wine pairing, so bad. Not one course was good, I can't tell you how poor this was, could not warrant a michelin star, there is something very wrong here. We paid for full pairing and larger menu, 580 euro, I have eaten the best food all over the world, this is the worst food experience I've ever had

Returned a year after our first visit to experience a woeful evening of not so fine dinning. First the good, recommended wine was very good and they surprised us with an anniversary desert. The bad - more seating has been added and I ended up facing the narrow path to the kitchen - like trying to each on a railway platform Staff in total chaos, serving tables put up then removed for no reason (twice), course served with plates missing and coffee served before end of meal. Food had one outstanding dish - pickled courgette flowers - presentation, texture and taste exceptional. The remainder were simply bland, especially the deserts that looked pretty but offered little on taste or craft. In a way the first dish reflected the experience - chunks of citrus fruits and pith. No fitness, no special cutting, not plate preparation - just chunks of citrus fruits on a plate (2 Michelin stars?). In summary, a restaurant in decline that offers a pale shadow of what it offered 12 months ago.

This is a comfortable and intimate restaurant with pleasant decor. The staff were welcoming pleasant and professional throughout. I had the full tasting menu but without the wine pairings. Along with the amuse bouches, the meal tok around 3 enjoyable hours and I was stuffed by the end! Some of the dishes were a little unusual to the Scottish palate, but were all tasty and well presented. I particularly enjoyed the cirtus platter and the accompanying explanation.

El Poblet is a truly amazing experience. The food is unbelievable. Great service. Incredible dishes. Mindbending combinations.
Be the first to ReplySHAME ABOUT THE DISH WITH DUCK.
With the chef from the Quique D' Acosta school, the dishes on the menu are very well presented and excellently cooked, except for the duck served in one of them, so hard that it was difficult to eat. Only fault, but a big one for a restaurant of this price and category.

The restaurant is very centrally located in a pedestrian zone in Valencia, the actual premises are on the first floor. The staff are very professional and friendly. We sat in a smaller room with 3 tables, which was perfectly fine, but the main room seemed a bit more appealing in terms of atmosphere. We had the "Territori" tasting menu with 9 courses. Very interesting compositions, some of which you will remember for a long time, especially the first course "Cured Meats" (simple, but top-class), "Time, Territory and Season" (fermented beetroot with fish, great), two courses with rabbit and all the desserts. We would have eaten several of the last dessert (and not because we weren't full). Clearly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyClassy food with great service.
This restaurant takes itself very seriously. Spare white tablecloths and decor, the focus is food. We had the 14 course and at the price and rating, this was quite reasonable as compared with other restaurants of this class. The food, effort and service are all impeccable. Chef Valls deserves the kudos~ Highly recommended for a unique experience. Not a place one would go daily, but great for a once type experience while visiting Valencia~

Really nice place, great wine selection. Friendly and professional staff. Impeccable presentation of highly sophisticated food. Unfortunately the flavors weren’t there.

Be the first to ReplyExquisite dining experience in the heart of Valencia
Having lunch at El Poblet in Valencia was an out of this world experience. The wine pairing option I chose along with the absolutely stellar tasting menu was exquisite, with the most extraordinary sommelier, Hernán Menno, elequently and passionately introducing a selection of unbelievable wines. Dining at El Poblet is surely a highly recommended culinary experience.
Be the first to ReplyBest in class. Hands down.
Posting delayed due to hacking of TA AC / A clear standout from our trip to Spain. Hands down. Definitely worth a visit. Everything was perfect. Not stuffy, food outstanding, service amongst the very best, wines excellent. Pitch perfect.

Do not waste your time and money in this restaurant!! It is amazing how 2 Michelin stars can be so terrible, the people not polite.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food. Excellent service. Will return
I always have high expectations for both food, presentation and hospitality when I dine at at fancy restaurants. This place hit the trifecta. The entire experience was a joy. Each dish was distinct with well thought out ingredients. Service was like a dance recital. Far more elevated than our experience at Hisa Franko Since the menu is constantly updated I won’t bore with my fav dishes.
