What a gem of a restaurant! We decided to try this spot on a Wednesday evening and got seated right away without a reservation. The waitress was wonderful and the tapas were some of the most delicious and creative that we've ever had.

Our experience at El Basque was a pleasant surprise! We took a chance once seeing they had a reservation available on open table. The restaurant is small and intimate. It really felt like we had been transported back to Spain. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. The food was 10/10 amazing. Started with the small chefs charcuterie which was more than enough for 2 people. Our entrees were delicious as was the wine. This was one of our favorite date night meals in a while. We will definitely be back!

Authentic Basque region food that is elevated and phenomenal. From Chef John the owner to Mircea the resident food expert and server, my wife and I had a phenomenal experience. All of the dishes were fresh and flavorful and the desserts were delicious. We. Will. Be. Back.
This place is amazing! Great wine selection and food.
We went with the pintxos menu to share and it was delicious. We tried the escargots, the kroketas de jamón, the pulpo (octopus) and the shrimp. The server's wine and dessert recommendations were superb! We had the burnt basque cheesecake and the choc tres leches. We've been here two times already and everything we've tried has been consistently good. I'm not from the area but if I return, definitely will go back to El Basque.

We really enjoyed this sweet little restaurant last night! It was highly recommended to us and we now pass that on. The ambiance makes you feel like you are in Spain. The food and service were very good. We loved the Fig appetizer as well as the octopus. Our entrees were the Bouilebaise and Bronzino special topped off with the Tres Leche cheesecake made by the in house pastry chef. We will be back!

We've been to El Basque twice this month, nearly two years after our first time there. Both times we were very happy with the experience. The atmosphere is very nice, with a long wall completely covered with framed paintings, and twinkly lights around the bar area. The service was spot on... attentive but not overbearing, and the food was timed well with appetizers coming out first and entrees shortly after. Menu items we had included: - Vin fig which are wine infused figs with goat cheese - Grilled octopus - Paella with seafood - Bronzino fish special of the day Everything was fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced relative to other restaurants in the area.

One of the best Fresh rare-made-to-order restaurants around! French and Spanish flair. Braised short ribs are a bit too salty but oh so tender! Lemon tart is yummy but less sugar is preferred and yummy ice cream. The almond tart is lite. We liked that the octopus was perfectly cooked. Thank you for the Great staff who are accommodating of specific meal needs. Nice cozy place, yummy fresh warm bread.

This is such a cute place! My husband and I each had glass of wine (as recommended by our server) and several of the tapas style appetizers. Each was beautifully presented and the flavors did not disappoint. Our server was attentive and friendly but not obnoxious, atmosphere was nice. We had the goat cheese and fig, octopus, shrimp, pork/calamari dishes. Each was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Came to Florida for Spring Training and found a wonderful Pintxos for dinner. Authentic Basque menu, recipes and flavor. We've eaten Pintxos in San Sebastián Spain and El Basque lives up to its heritage. If we didn't live in California this would definitely be our local favorite. Salad, meat & cheese board, drunken figs & goat cheese, chorizo & fondu cheese, blood sausage, Bilbao martini, Basque cheesecake and cappuccino all exceeded our expectations. Owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. Service was spot on! Great dinner!!!

Lovely little spot. Not the typical noisy rushed atmosphere of so many local restaurants. Very friendly, enjoyable ambience. We could actually hear each other speak. Interesting menu choices … not the typical ones. Drunken figs were amazing. Great wait service. Looking forward to returning.

Be advised that the menu online is different from what you will see in the restaurant. Choices are good if unusual. Scallops appetizers are very good. Figs too. That said, there is something about this place that feels disjointed. Service was adequate but nothing more. Atmosphere was outstanding. Warm and intimate. Entrees just okay. Steak arrived overcooked and Coq au Vin was tasty but tough. Wine selection highly variable. Spanish choices were best. We’re going to give this another try because it can definitely do better. Not this time though.

Great hospitality from the moment we walked in! Sophia was a very pleasant and good server to our table of six. The food was delicious from the charcuterie board appetizer, the recommended wine, entrees and dessert! We will look forward to going back!

I have a love hate relationship with writing this review! LOVE LOVE LOVE because this restaurant is AMAZING AWESOME!! No words for the spectacular ambience, service and presentation. HATE only because I don't want to lose my new special spot my husband and I found. Well off the beaten path but soooo worth it. Came here just before a concert and found the most gracious chef and waiter! And to boot a happy hour we knew nothing about walking in but will come back again and again for. Thank you all for an amazing experience, meal and evening. We'll be back!!

Hidden Gem! The food is authentic Spanish food cooked fresh. Delicious! We had the ham croquettes, the fig & cheese, the calamari with pork and the cassoulet. We enjoyed every one of the items. We also ordered a bottle of white wine from the Basque region which was very good. The service was attentive and very good. The chef even came out to talk to us when we inquired about the special order of suckling pig. He's a very accomplished chef but we already knew that his food was delicious as we had already enjoyed our meal. We will be back to explore more of the menu. The restaurant is really cute inside. It's located in an unassuming strip mall but it is a hidden gem.

What a fabulous discovery. This restaurant tucked in a shopping mall beside a movie theatre deserves every star available and then some. The food and wine pairings were excellent and beautifully served. First of many visits.

Not enough stars available!! We have been to El Basque countless times. ; had a special b'day dinner there for our daughter and taken many friends there. There aren't enough superlatives to describe this place. John and his daughter, make this like coming home to a home cooked meal. They are beyond delightful and accommodating. We have been to Spain, and particularly Barcelona several times, and this is as close as we have had here in the states. Whatever you order, and John will customize it to your tastes is superb. Its fairly priced, and a wonderful group of wines as well. Place is small and cozy and reminds you of your living room. Its our favorite place and I would highly recommend it for tapas and pintxas. Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
