To me, this place is what you would expect the main character of a romance or drama to take their partner for a first date. This place screams fine dining and it's truly family-friendly, which is rare! I went with my wife and 4 year old and we absolutely loved the experience and the food. My son got a pizza in the shape of a fish and my wife and I got some amazing lasagna and linguine. Also, even though we came a little close to closing, the hostess and staff were extremely nice and allowed us to sit at a nice table with a nice view and the food came out quick. Can't wait to go back

This is a review of the Eately kiosk that is in the outside seating area on the intersection of 5th Ave and Broadway. They have a small but tasty selection of 2 pizzas, and 2-3 sandwiches, tiramisu, gelato, coffee, sodas and alcoholic beverages!

Oh I like this! Eataly is like the public markets you find in Rome and other Italian cities. They have a huge variety of everything from fresh pasta to meats, fish, wines, pastries and just about anything else you need to stock a proper Italian kitchen. Honestly, I would be in here every day if I could. Double highly recommend.

The food has gone down hill here since this place first opened. Still some decent dishes, but not what they used to be. Great service and very busy environment.
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal indoor market for all things Italian.
Imported ingredients for sale, great restaurants, and delicious ready-made food to choose from. It's worth being on the bucket list if you're a foodie.

Wow! Amazing place to visit, explore, and eat amazing food, such as sandwiches, pizza, cheese, gelato, cheese, or have some coffee. Amazing food imported from Italy for purchase in the grocery section.

Eataly in New York brought that familiar "bring Italy to your home" vibe I've come to know and love from their locations worldwide. There's something comforting about the consistency in their theme, no matter where you are. I'll admit, stepping into the New York store, my expectations were sky-high, secretly hoping it would dwarf the one back in Toronto with its grandeur. While it may not have stretched the square footage as I imagined, the experience was not to be underestimated. What struck me most was the meticulous layout of each department, a thoughtful design and an understanding of the customer journey. Navigating through the aisles felt effortless, almost intuitive, allowing for a leisurely exploration of Italian culinary delights. It's this ease of browsing, the seamless transition from one section to another, that elevates the shopping experience beyond just the physical space it occupies.

A magnificent collection of Italian pastry, grocery, bakery, cafe, restaurants, whole pasta and cheese. Iy's made out of lots of small individual vendor/companies that sell different products. I am a regular visitor of the pasta and pastry stores. I get the spinach ravioli for dinner often. Just have to boil for few minutes, and it's ready. Tasty lovely with filling of cheese and spinach mixed. For pastry, I often get the chandelles, puffy filled with delicious cream, and run sponge, soaked so much in Rum, like it's a mini shot. Combos of 4, 8, 16 and 32 come in a discounted price. I also go to one of the deli for my quarter chicken lunch. Their rotisserie dark chicken is outstanding. Comes with 2 small sides. All this under $15. They also keep good collection of seasonal fruits, and huge variety of cheese. There's also a cafe on the 5th ave side. Often crowded during the day time with tourists. I really like this place. Very thankful to have it right next to my work. It's a great stress relief spot for me :)

The food was pretty good and I really enjoyed my kale salad, especially the walnut balsamic sauce in it! However, the portions here are very, very small! Also, they charge $2 per additional sauce for the calamari, which was very interesting that it didn't come with already! The service was good, everything came really fast and the environment was fine as well.
Be the first to ReplyEverything about 'Eataly' feels diametrically opposed to
Everything about 'Eataly' feels diametrically opposed to what Italy is like. In Italy, you take your time, you eat moderate portions of foods that are in season. The ingredients are chosen carefully. Everything is leisurely, dolce and in proportion. There is nothing 'dolce' or truly Italian about Eataly. The place is a gargantuan advertisement for all the quintessential American flaws: NOISE. The din in this cavernous place gave me a headache. BIGGER AS 'BETTER'. Instead of a carefully curated selection of, say, olive oils, or pasta, helpfully guiding your choice, Eataly just mind-numbs you with a hundred oils (and no way to really judge their different qualities) and every pasta brand on earth, from artisanal right down to - I couldn't quite believe it, but there it was! - Barilla. HYPE. The very walls at Eataly are festooned with overblown, self-congratulatory prose worthy of a J. Peterman catalogue. At the pasta counter, I got served bread in a paper envelope that claimed the bread had been made from prehistoric yeast and some fancy imported flour. Yet it was just meh - dry and flavorless. RUSHED INDUSTRIAL SCALE. Take Eataly's pasta bar. I sat at the counter where I got a bird's eye view. NO WAY even a genius could supervise 16 (!) simultaneously boiling pots of pasta and get them all properly cooked, 'al dente'. Mine was definitely towards the mushy end. And the tiny mushroom bits festooning my sauce looked taken straight out of a Campbell's soup can. Skip it and save your lire for a trip to the real Italy. Or visit Buon' Italia over in Chelsea. A much better emporium for the best Italy has to offer.

Exceptional ingredients cater to both novice and seasoned chefs. Food - The prepared dishes are outstanding, with sandwiches that hit the spot for a swift lunch. Whether you're crafting intricate Italian cuisine or prefer the simplicity of fresh pasta with ready-made sauces, this place has it all. Their fresh spaghetti and Cacio e Pepe let me whip up a restaurant-quality meal with ease. Ambiance - This store boasts a chic design, featuring several lunch counters and departments. Navigation is straightforward, creating the impression of multiple shops under one roof. Service - The staff are both efficient and warm, ensuring a pleasant experience.

I walked in to Eataly after a nearby wine tasting, and I had no idea what I was getting into. The space is huge, and very, very busy. I was in the mood for Pizza and they have lots of Pizza. There is no shortage of anything in this store. I sampled three different types of Pizza, and all three were delicious. The crust was firm, and the toppings were very fresh. I you go be prepared to wait. Bring a lot of cash as well, because Eataly isn't cheap either. I will return.
Be the first to ReplyI love it here! So classy and such a romantic ambience.
Amazing food and great drinks!
Be the first to ReplyVery yum and very pretty inside.
The workers were very helpful and they processed people very quickly. I would highly recommend the cremespresso. It was a bit pricey for a kinda small drink (I think $6.42 after tax for the medium) but it was something I'd never had before and was great to split with someone else. I thought it'd be like the chick fil an iced coffee but this was way thicker and creamier. I'll definitely be returning for the pastries
Be the first to Replyinsanely big store that you could get lost in.
tried their creamy espresso drink and it reminded me a lot of the cfa cold brew shake. their cannoli and gelato place caught my eye and I would definitely love to come back and try it.

I love sitting at the pasta bar, watching them make the fresh tortellini. The staff is engaging, helpful with wine selection, and the kitchen staff know exactly how to prepare each dish just like in Roma.
Be the first to ReplyThey had spaghetti cacio & pepe.
Cheese and black pepper sauce dish from Rome Italy. It was very very good. 4.5 stars but I rounded up. Very few places make it better. Crowded and loud surroundings. Service was good. You have to pay for the bread. I had the rustic Italian bread. It was without salt like in Florence Italy. It is an acquired taste bread without salt but I love it because the wheat flavor comes through better. Will definitely return.

We were in New York to shop for a wedding dress for my daughter. My daughter made reservations at the restaurant thinking it would be a great experience to dine at an "Eataly". It turned out to be the worse meal we had the whole weekend. Not one of the seven entrees we ordered was delicious. The gnocchi was deceit but certainly not what we were expecting. I definitely wouldn't eat here again.
Be the first to ReplyReturn visit for two of the four of us.
We had to have some more gelato and we have course came around lunchtime. We chose three different precautions for the four of us to split. They were all delicious!

Be the first to ReplyAmbience is fun, relaxing & interesting .
The location is super. The waiter was great but the bussing staff and food runners need some training. The pasta was not cooked for my husbands mussel/calamari pasta dinner.

The waitress was polite and checked on us a few times throughout dinner. The lasagna was well flavored but was not served warmed The pizza had a few burnt areas and too soggy.
Be the first to ReplyGreat produce, and pasta selection.
The roast chicken is a big disappointment, always overcooked.....chicken is dry, breast has a dusty texture. Love shopping at Eataly, will NEVER purchase Roast Chicken again.
