Disappointing
My wife and I ordered the Caesar salad, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations. Our son's pizza was also fairly average. Service-wise, we found ourselves needing to request our water multiple times before it was finally served. Additionally, we felt the staff could have been more welcoming. Based on our experience, we believe the value for money at this establishment could be better.
Fine Italian restaurant
In the Schrannenhalle there is a large selection of fine Italian products to buy. There is also a great restaurant and an Aperol bar. We ate here at Eataly with friends and were very satisfied! The service was very friendly and the food delicious!
Highly recommended!
We had a large round table for six people and had a wonderful dinner with great wine. The service was fantastic, Giuseppe anticipated our every wish!!!
Big disappointment at a premium price.
We had high expectations. The place is a huge, smack in the middle of town, full and buzzing with activity. There restaurant fills only part of the space. Other spaces are devoted to Italian delicacies, gelato, wine, and a coffee shop. We were seated and ordered a glass of wine each, pizza, and a salad. Simple stuff. At a premium price. Yet - The salad came with no dressing. One had to drizzle one’s own from the condiments provided. The pizza has the topping concentrated in the middle, with bare dough all around. I complained and was the end of our evening. The waiter abandoned us, and another came and didn’t even wish a good evening. I think they got it wrong. We were the ones offended. As big as the expectations, so was the disappointment. Pity.
Rip-off prices and not even remotely justified
RIGATONE FRESCO ALLA CARBONARA €22.9 | 32€ Fresh rigatoni “Artusi” with cheek bacon and one Sauce made from egg, Pecorino cheese and pepper (A1 , C, G, 11) This price is absolutely outrageous and we're talking about the small portion here. We love going out to eat and we are willing to spend money on it if the quality is right. But Rigatoni Carbonara small portion for 22.90 is absolute extortion and as a guest you just feel like you've been cheated if it doesn't even taste good. (Pasta rock hard, and sauce has a sour touch and doesn't taste like anything...) The restaurant wasn't even half full and I'm not surprised, because word of such a rip-off gets around quickly. Normally I would have had to get up and leave immediately, but the waiter was very helpful and very friendly. There is absolutely nothing he can do about such an outrageous pricing culture. I'm just wondering why there are so many restaurants around the corner that still manage to stay fair. What is also a disaster is the Italian supermarket, which is completely overpriced and has guaranteed arrogant cashiers who can barely manage a smile and believe that you have to curtsy there because you are allowed to buy something in this market. If they continue with this strategy, their days will be numbered. There have already been countless changes there. Normally I never write reviews, but I'm still pissed off today about such a rip-off, so to speak, let's milk the stupid ones out there. WITHOUT US!
Bad service unfriendly service
Staff overwhelmed and very unfriendly and pushy... never again 👎there are far too few staff which creates stress and the friendly manner that is expected from Italian restaurants is reduced.
High-priced dishes without appropriate ambience and service
This restaurant is located right on the Viktualienmarkt in the historic Schrannenhalle in the middle of a specialty supermarket. The menu made us curious. Unfortunately, the price does not match our expectations. In a restaurant like this, it would be nice if the salad was not undressed, but a fine selection of house salad dressings was recommended by competent service. We already had vinegar and oil on the table. The ambience is bright, open and hectic and reminded us of a canteen. The service was quick but there was no further service thought, it was neither explanatory nor mediating. I spontaneously decided on an Italian orange lemonade (0.275 bottle for 4.50) and a pizza capricciosa, which had a very bready, airy dough and cost 19.50, which I also consider to be very expensive. I enjoyed it, but it did not leave a lasting impression that would make me want to come back again at some point.
Uncomplicated, predictable Italian food in light, modern surroundings
This restaurant in located in a nice food hall looking building where they have a shop and restaurant. The restaurant is modern and light with big windows towards the outside along the whole room. The menu is Italian with pizza, pasta and other Italian dishes. We visited on a Wednesday evening and the place was fairly busy. The waiters were very attentive and the open layout helped get in touch if we needed anything. This evening we went for starters and mains. The starters - salads and ham - were good. The mains - salad, pasta, pizza - were also great, but to some extent predictable. You kind of know what you get. The restaurant had a mix of Italian drinks, local beer and different wines to choose from, and we had a mix of everything. Uncomplicated food served in nice surroundings.
Only for kisses kisses
Although Munich is the northernmost city in Italy, you are not welcome here as a Munich resident. You are welcome to come and your euros will lose value as soon as you enter. The pizzas, pasta and the like are only average and too expensive. The same goes for wine and beer. Only the Aperol Spritz is tasty and Originale Italiano. You're already lost with the waiters if you don't look and speak Italian. The attached food department seems to come from Munich Grünwald.

Good food, poor service
The food was OK but the service was very poor. In my opinion Eataly is not worth the money. There is much better Italian restaurants in Munich.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
