Amazing stay in Provence
My wife and I had the good fortune to return to Domaine De Manville for the 3rd time in the past 7 years. This 5 star rated resort is exactly that, 5 stars that does not disappoint in any way. It is situated in the heart of Provence in a valley just below the beautiful town of Les Baux. It has an 18 hole golf course with 3 restaurants. It is a converted old farmhouse with over 50 rooms. All rooms are very spacious and exquisitely decorated, some having balconies overlooking the pool area with the mountains in the background. Service was amazing with the staff always going out of their way to accommodate and help their guests. We had dinner at their gastronomical restaurant which was an experience in itself. Everything that came out of the kitchen was creatively decorated and full of exquisite flavors. At the end of our meal, we were invited to the kitchen to meet the chef and his amazing staff. A wonderful touch at the end of our dinner. We also dined at their other bistro restaurant on another evening and again, the food and service was exceptional. The bar area is so inviting, as well as the grounds outside around the pool area. We had pre diner drinks every night by the pool to enjoy the beauty and the whole provincial atmosphere. Hotel De Manville is highly recommended.

It was great! The welcome, the restaurant, the rooms, the setting, it’s everything! And the staff is so kind and attentive. It's a real pleasure. I can't wait to go back for a slightly longer stay, to play golf and enjoy the SPA.

Superb exceptional brunch, divine meal and magnificent places, very professional staff, the bar and very friendly and the superb glass roof, it is the best hotel in Provence with an idyllic setting. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

What a magnificent estate! Very careful, down to the smallest details. Everything is magnificent. The perfect staff from reception, through the spa, to the restaurant… Quality products, innovative and refined cuisine. I loved this place. I can not wait to return.

A very pleasant and relaxing stay in an exceptional place. The golf course is magnificent and very well maintained (for an 18 hole course you absolutely need a cart). The welcome is perfect. I highly recommend !

Everything is perfect ! Whether it is the room with a bathroom equipped with a bathtub and a shower; the starred restaurant with very inventive dishes; breakfast with a sumptuous buffet; the well-equipped spa.

A pleasure renewed with each stay for years. Mr and Mrs Sault with their teams have made this remarkable establishment in a magical place a reference in the hotel industry while preserving the family aspect dear to their project. Congratulations to all.

Flawless in all areas, plus an upgrade to a suite with complimentary champagne, so a good start. 5* hotel therefore offering all the advantages and amenities of an area of this class, but with the addition of a natural, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, starting from the buildings and green spaces which demonstrate respect for architecture and from the local peasant environment, through the efficiently decorated interiors, from the glass roof dedicated to breakfast to that of the bar (griddle and other), from the "bistro" to the efficient à la carte, from the relaxation area (spa, indoor swimming pool , sauna, hammam and other facilities) and what is far from negligible, professional staff, unfeigned kindness and sympathy (and not circumstantial), in short a perfect balance of all the together.

Very nice establishment. High-end restaurant and equally high-end service. The customer is at the heart of concerns! We rented a villa for 2 days and benefited from hotel services with in-villa service! It was great!

My wife and I enjoyed our 2 night stay in this stunning hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location is excellent, rooms very comfortable and service impeccable. We enjoyed an excellent massage in the spa which is well equipped with sauna, hammam etc. Lunch and dinner in "The Bistro" were very good - and our dinner the Michelin-starred "l'Aupiho" restaurant was memorable -though sadly the choice from the menu is a bit restricted for anyone (like me) who is allergic to shellfish.
Be the first to ReplyA wonderful hotel too fragrant with perfume
The hotel is really lovely. Beautiful outdoor spaces. Nicely equipped rooms. Reception was helpful with recommendations before and during our trip. The breakfast in the glass house was a wonderful way to start the day. We were traveling with a little dog and she was welcomed in the hotel. The location in Provence was fun with lots to do in the area.
Despite all these great points, unfortunately, we are unlikely to be return guests for one single reason. The hotel is dispersing scent through the air system in the public places, restaurants and spa. Apparently it is their “signature scent” and they are enthusiastic about it. You know the woman who is overusing perfume and the polarizing effect is that you can’t get far enough away? Like that. It’s a shame. The hotel is lovely but it’s like staying in a perfume bottle.
Despite what the SLH website says - King beds are only availabable in junior suite category and above.
Deluxe room not recommended for 2 persons. They have an oversized bathroom which is nice, however it cuts into the size of the “bedroom” which has very limited closet space and not even a bedside table because the room is so narrow.
