Amazing restaurant and had fantastic views of Vienna, we booked the table to get the sunset which was amazing, taster menu and wine, wasn’t cheap but what an experience
Overrated as the view is hard to see due to how light it is
Overrated as the view is hard to see due to how light it is inside and very few seats if you're just getting a drink. There were also 2 rude girls next to us who were snickering at my friend and I the whole time which didn't help the situation. We didn't try the food but the wine was fine.
Great view but at a price
You know your paying for the view, the set course is good not amazing, good service but a little slow when it gets busy. I would rate this as a place to drink rather than eat - it’s big and early on was a little low on the atmosphere- it liven up and the music was good latter.
Spectacular view
Das LOFT has the most spectacular view over Vienna. Visited night only for a coctail. If someone wants a dinner must be prepared to pay for it !

I’m not sure why this restaurant has low reviews because it’s magnificent. The dishes are excellently prepared and original, the servers are nice and knowledgeable and the view makes one feel like you’re at the top of the world. Such a great experience in every way.
The view is much better than the food !
It’s the view and the view and a bit more view… just an amazing place to look at Vienna from above. The food is nice but not as good as the view. Cocktails are ok and the services was pleasant and available yet should be improved for the price asked.

Das LOFT is an absolute showstopper, and while it's undeniably expensive, the experience, particularly the view, makes it totally worth every single penny, at least in my opinion. From the moment you step into the restaurant, the panoramic views of Vienna are simply breathtaking. Seriously, I could have sat there for hours (in fact I did sit there for at least 2 hours), just soaking in the incredible cityscape. The food was also pretty good, nothing mind blowing, but very enjoyable. It was, as expected, on the pricier side, but again, I had no problem paying the premium price for those views. If you're looking for an unforgettable evening in Vienna and are willing to splurge for an absolutely sensational view, Das LOFT is the place to be. You could also opt to just get a drink on the upper level if you prefer to not spend as much. Highly, highly recommend for anyone visiting!

I happened to be staying at SO/ Vienna and stopped by to check out their top floor restaurant. Little did I know about the amazing view here at Das Loft! It offered panoramic views of the city, and the view was even more stunning during sunset. I had the chocolate brownie, which was more like a fancy chocolate cake -- very rich and decadent. For drinks, I tried the Noelle (Dewar's 12Y infused with tonka beans, cacao white, gingerbread, orange, and lemon, topped with honey espuma/foam) -- it was like sipping a yummy dessert. Tonka beans are not available in the U.S., so I had to try this drink. The Triple Berry (sparkling water with strawberry, wild berry, raspberry, passion fruit, and vanilla) was also refreshing for summertime. I only came here for dessert and drinks, but others have came for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed the food as well. A restaurant with amazing views and good food and drinks? That's a triple threat!
This is my first time visiting Vienna.
A friend recommended this roof top restaurant and told me that I have to make sure I reserve a table right by the window. We did just that. The restaurant is on the eighteenth floor of a Sofitel hotel, Tables that were located by the window come with a fixed menu. The food was a okay. Nothing to write home about. The sweet and sour pork belly was a bit too sweet for my taste buds. The view was fantastic. The table allows us a 180 degree view of the skyline of Vienna. The ambiance and deco was trendy. It lifted our spirits when we arrived. Service was a bit slow. The fixed menu consisted of four courses and took us 2 1/2 hours to finish. If you have never been to Vienna, Das Loft is definitely worth a visit.

(Overall: A+) - Das Loft is a beautiful rooftop eatery in the So/ Hotel with views overlooking the entire Vienna city center that is for sure not worth missing. If you want a window seat table, you must participate in their pre-fixe that would run for 130euros. The food is innovatively exciting, high quality and impressive, particularly among the presentation front. (Dragonfruit Cocktail: A) - If I had to design an Asian-inspired cocktail, this is everything I would want. The dragonfruit provides a beautiful pink sheen to the drink, in addition to a beautiful garnish, which is a smart use of the peel. Lychee is also a good pairing that is light and aromatic. (Salmon Tartare: A+) - I love the intricacies involved to make this first bite truly set the tone for the rest of the menu. For example, that green sauce seems to serve at least three purposes -- one to hold the puff in place, another to add colors similar to vines in a garden with those flowers, and third, to add acidity to the dish to build depth of flavor and pair with the richness of the salmon. Very impressive dish. (Tomato Butter: S) - As a person who does not enjoy butter, this was the best butter I've had to date. Tomato is a genius pairing as it adds some slight sweetness and acidity to help lighten the fattiness. Further, it was beautifully plated almost to the shape of a burrata that truly captures the picture perfect essence of this dish. (Arctic Char: A) - The arctic char is paired with a classic ponzu that adds bold flavors that works. The fried vermicelli, though, is such a smart pairing that helps raise the bar for the dish as it gives height and some impressive presentation, and also soaks up that beautiful dressing. (Pork Belly: S) - I was quite impressed with this dish given the numerous elements that complemented each other harmoniously. The crispy chicharron added some crunchy lightness to the rest of the pork belly, and the kumquat added significant acidity to balance the dish. I was also a big fan of the eggplant puree, which added a creamy earthiness to the dish. (Angus Beef: B) - This is a beautifully plated beef and mash dish with handmade gnocchi which was light and fluffy. Unfortunately, even after sending back the first piece of beef, I found the beef to be rather over that is almost worthy of a job well done (despite still being tender). (Viennese Fruits: C) - This is yet another beautifully plated dish, but unfortunately I found this dessert lacking in substance as it pairs fruit, ice cream, and sweet bread, missing a component with significant backbone to ground the dish. Do not go here
You can go to this place at your own risk. If you read all previous reviews, they are nothing but the truth. It can’t be that all people are complaining about the same thing. I recently visited your restaurant with my family on July 9th 2024 and was disappointed with the service we received. While the food was excellent, the staff's attitude left much to be desired. Unfortunately, they were egotistic and showed a lack of respect towards us as black patrons. My family was visiting from South Africa for the first time to celebrate a birthday in Vienna. Sadly, the birthday celebration was marred by the staff's unfriendly and unaccommodating behavior. This was particularly disappointing for the birthday lady, who did not enjoy her special day. I would suggest the company change their staff and get people who actually want to work. It can’t be that everyone is complaining about the same thing. Your staff is unfriendly and should be trained to be friendly and respectful to all guests, regardless of their background or color. This would ensure a more inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Avoid the breakfast, go to dinner instead
Dinner here is great BUT waiters during breakfast time are RUDE and LAZY. A little surprised this is on the Amex list. Need to do better. Breakfast Service is poor and the food isn’t that good during breakfast. Avoid the breakfast go for the dinner
Nice view - terrible attitude
Came for dinner after being told reservation is not required. Refused to sit us (only second row) if we commit to order multiple entrees each (which we planned to anyways) but said the place was booked. I counter over 25 tables empty. Ordered a drink at the bar since we were already there and left to have dinner elsewhere. Snobby people.
Outstanding experience
A fantastic experience, great food, attentive staff and a wonderful vibe with outstanding views of Vienna, I’d thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
May 2024 visit with friends for dinner
I visited Das Loft during a trip to Vienna and specifically chose the restaurant because of its amazing views of the city. The entire experience of the food, the professionalism of the staff, and the all round service rivalled the view. The food tasted amazing and the waiter took his time to explain each course and the ingredients. The menu was a set course with just the right portion sizes and worked perfectly. I would highly recommend Das Loft to anyone visiting Vienna as you will not find another restaurant with such views to rival it in the city.
Discrimination
I am writing a legal letter to the Michelin board to strip this restaurant from its Michelin accolades due to violation of the Michelin guidelines #Discrimination. There is no space for discrimination in this world. The manager on duty wouldn’t sit us and alleged that the restaurant was fully booked, but online there was immediate availability. I had the American Express concierge step in to help us persuade the restaurant to sit us. After presenting evidence for discrimination, I was finally seated. During my time at the restaurant, there was prima facie evidence to indicate that the restaurant was not fully booked as alleged by the manager on duty. #Discrimination.

Stunning views! The bar is beautifully styled and positioned so you can see the whole city. Make sure to arrive 20 minutes before sunset. Decent drinks, creative menu, but just like all the other reviews the staff are either too busy or don't care. Don't expect them to come by a second time.

If you want a rooftop with an amazing view and vibes this is it. You need to have a reservation to sit by the window but since we didn't have one we had to sit by the bar. Drinks were reasonably priced being a chic rooftop bar. Slower service than expected by maybe they were understaffed when we were there.
Stunning views from 18th floor
Located on the lifestyle hotel SO/ Vienna's 18th floor, this place is fantastic for panaromic views of the city. The restaurant needs reservation but the bar doesn't. I couldn't stop taking photos last. The atmosphere here was good too. If you want a relaxing drink or dinner with amazing 360' views of the city, then head down here. We only had drinks and bar snacks here. Although they were so full, the sevices was fast, friendly and efficent.

This place is simply amazing! The view is absolutely unique and the atmosphere is wonderful. Plus, it's affordable too, which is a bonus. I highly recommend checking it out, but be sure to make a reservation in advance to secure your spot.
Bait & Switch
reservation#JUKBL3EW, A “Bait & Switch” very unpleasant experience. Asked to speak to the Sommelier, & I was introduced to a lady that claimed to be the Sommelier?( in fact she turned out to be the assistant sommelier) sadly she had a junior level knowledge of wine. I ordered a bottle of wine based on her recommendations & she shows up to w/ a totally different wine $$$ When I asked to see the wine list again, Very quickly she back tracked & said oh my Boss recommends this wine. Confused I said your Boss? She then admitted she is the assistant Sommelier. We go back to square one & order the initial bottle of wine. She shows up pours the wine & later we notice she switched the year by 1 yr & turned out to be twice the $$$ price. On conclusion at the bill settlement we bought the poor service to the attention of our waiter. She took it upon herself to call the manager. The Manager offered us a drink or sweets. “For the Mistake” we kindly refused the gifts & paid the bill in full & left a generous tip to the young waiter who was totally innocent in this game of “Bait & Switch” sorry folks just the facts here. You decide is it worth the wait, plunk down your credit card for a reservation for food that was mid level range???? You Decide.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ElaborateHouse74, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ElaborateHouse74 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ElaborateHouse74 for any questions Peter may have as ElaborateHouse74 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ElaborateHouse74 now uses their connections at Das LOFT Wien to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ElaborateHouse74 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ElaborateHouse74 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ElaborateHouse74's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Das LOFT Wien!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
