Dalida San Francisco Reviews from The Last Year
Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Food 3.
5/5 Dalida has been on my list of restaurants to check out for a while now and we finally managed to get a reservation for Saturday night dinner. We opted for the breaking bread, 12 hr lamb & the pork skewers. Highlight of the night was the pork skewers. It came with just the right mixture of lean and fatty meat which made for a great combo! Overall, we enjoyed our first dining experience and would come back to try their cod and chicken next time!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Dalida and were so impressed by both their food and service. We opted for the chef's tasting menu which was very thoughtfully curated. Each and every course was delicious, our favorites being the pita bread and the dips plus the pork dish with shishito peppers along with a side of tahdig (crispy Persian rice). Highly recommend this place, we will be back soon!
Really wanted to try Dalida after watching Head Chef Laura
Really wanted to try Dalida after watching Head Chef Laura compete on Top Chef! Love the vibe of Dalida and great food. Definitely on the more upscale side. Must haves are the octopus, fluffy pita and dips, and the lamb dumplings. I would come again for a more casual night to sit at the bar and get the pit with dips. Service was friendly and mostly attentive. I didn't ~love~ any of the cocktails I got but the food made up for it.
One of the best meals I have had in San Francisco.
No pictures because I tried to soak in the moment as much as possible. This is probably the best value of a tasting menu you can find the city. $75 per person and I left extremely full. So much protein and flavors. There were so many plates brought out to us I lost count. Chef Laura and her husband understand this middle eastern cuisine extremely well. Standout dishes were the lamb, the pita with dips, and the savory filo dough dish with mushroom sauce. They treated the local California produce with so much love and flavor. The lamb had a crunch from all the seasoning rub it had on it. 100000/10. The ambiance and decor is amazing too. Wild flower wall paper. Quiet but lively at the same time. All the wait staff was extremely knowledgeable, tentative, and accommodating. My partner described what kind of drink she likes and they brought her the perfect recommendation. Chef Laura was on the show top chef and even came out to bring a dish and talk with us. I was star struck. Her kindness is to be noted

The scenery of this restaurant is great and the interior is nothing but refreshing. As for the service and food... I can definitely say it's a very watered down westernized taste of Turkish cuisine and hospitality. I was very turned off by the waitress who took our order as I chose to only order the California Tahdig. She smirked at me and said that her hand is bigger than this entrée and that if I'm sure I would be full. To the naked I may seem like an enlarged person who can eat a lot but I just underwent the gastric sleeve and unfortunately can only eat half of the size of her whopping hand. I found it very rude that she would make that comment as if I couldn't order more later on if I wanted to, I think professionalism needs to be enforced amongst diners and servers. Other than that unpleasant encounter I enjoyed the California Tahdig but it wasn't anything special, you can make this saffron or turmeric rice at home and throw your own choice of seafood on top. I loved the idea of a middle eastern take on sushi but this experience just put a bad taste in my mouth. My partner had the short rib kebab, saffron rice and a beer. The kebab was overly dry for a fatty piece of cut I wonder how they managed to that unless it wasn't a short rib cut. The saffron rice wasn't special but not bad.

Dalida is a delight! With some of the best hospitality and unique dishes ever experienced, this is one of my top picks now in SF when it comes to the great open atmosphere, unique drinks and great service. We started our evening with Breaking Bread which was some of the creamiest hummus ever as well as puffy pita bread that was so good we had to order a second! We then had the Fattoush Salad which had the juiciest deep red tomatoes you have ever experience. Perfectly peeled and dressed, this was a refreshing dish. As most items are designed to be family style we then loaded the table with the lamb chops, octopus, Anatolian Arishte. And Saffron Tahdig (rice) This was plenty for 4 and the flavors were amazing witg every bite. The lamb chops are wrapped with ground lamb (brilliant) and one chop is plenty but you'll need 2 orders for 4 people (2 chops per order) Prices for a Michelin Star caliber restaurant in San Francisco is very affordable and the value you get is worth every penny. Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz (owners) both came to our table for a nice visit. Laura being on top chef and her husband working the back kitchen both ensure the food and experience is nothing short of stellar. If you want an amazing meal in a great location (The Presidio) then this is the place to be! 6 stars (RARE rating for me)

4.25 STARS Playing tourist in the city. Just needed my Dora the Explorer fit and fanny pack to complete the look. I've enjoyed the food when Chef Laura and Chef Sayat were at Noosh then Belgium Brewing. Didn't have a chance to go to their pop-up: Istanbul Modern. And, now they own one of the most hyped and popular restos in the city: Dalida, located in the gorgeous Presidio Tunnel Tops area with sweeping views. Cuz if you're Top Chef fan than you know Chef Laura was reppin' the city and made it to Top 4 in the most recent season. Dalida is also featured in the Michelin Guide and a James Beard Semi-Finalist. Open for dine-in. I've been waiting for their outdoor dining (dog-friendly) which is only available for Wednesday - Friday lunch, and weekend brunch. At night, you can have drinks on the patio but no food service. Highly recommend making rezzies on OpenTable. M E N U Modern Eastern European Cuisine. Same menu for lunch + dinner. Limited menu for brunch with eggy type dishes. Full bar. D R I N K S * Efe Klasik Raki ($12 x2): https://tinyurl.com/3dr36jhv Raki is Turkish brandy distilled w/ grapes and anise flavored. You're given a shot of it which you dilute with ice and water to your liking. It has a strong black licorice flavor and is hella strong. One round, I was already buzzed but it was July 4th so let's have another! F O O D * 1/2 Dozen Pink Moon Oysters w/ seasonal mignoette ($28 x2) // 5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/mvsa885a A rare beauty, pink moon oysters are hard to come by and my fav variety. So fresh, so clean. Plump and smooth with a rich, briny sweet flavor. * Breaking Bread: Hummus, muhammara, smoked yogurt, pickles, marinated olives, chubby pita ($18) // 4.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/ywrpdmsn Their chubby pita lowkey reminds me of Oren's Israeli style pita - thick, soft, and chewy but with an air pocket reminiscent to balloon bread dusted with za'atar (deflates when tearing into): https://tinyurl.com/2cubwzcc The creamy smooth hummus, cooling yogurt, and sweet and smoky muhammara (roasted red pepper) were good accompaniments. * Çöp Sis Skewers: Short rib kebabs, sweetbreads, lavash, ezme ($24) // 2.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/2pb7m46h Rip a piece of lavash to BYO tacos. Least fav item, arrived tepid like it had been sitting on the counter. The short ribs were bland and parts tasted like congealed fat since it had cooled. * Duroc Pork Cheek Souvlaki: Cheeks, crispy potatoes, mustard sauce ($19) // 3.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/2pb7m46h Lowkey reminds me of Chinese shaokao (bbq skewers) served on long metal skewers, the pork cheeks had a good spingy chew but underspiced so we utilized the ezme for flavor (like a turkish pico). The mustard sauce just tasted like cream with no zing. * Cypriot Lamb Chops encased in ground lamb + caul fat w/ hummus, lamb jus, chives ($35) // 4 stars: https://tinyurl.com/2apu3xfk -Cross-section: https://tinyurl.com/mbydhw5j First fire, the lamb chops were close to well-done but the second fire was on-point. While cooking, the webbed caul fat melts into the lamb chop and ground lamb creating a rich, juicy meat lollipop. We used the extra pita to sop of the hummus and flavorful lamb jus. * Saffron Tahdig: Crispy Persian Rice w/ barberries ($14) // 4 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/4a5564wh Well-spiced fluffy rice with a crispy surface and tangy barberries that hits different. I think it could have used have spent more time on the pan for a more even, crunchier crust. * Housemade Marash-style Ice Cream: Kaymak + Sour Cherry (Comped - $8 each) // 5 stars: https://tinyurl.com/wsuzf7aj For the lamb chop mishap, our server kindly comped dessert. Winning combo of sweet clotted cream (kaymak) and sour cherries. The texture was perfection...stretchy, creamy, and silky smooth. S E R V I C E Warm, welcoming staff. Our server was kind and there when we needed him. Great to see Chef Laura delivering dishes and interacting with customers. Sweet and humble. Chef Sayat offered to carry TT's stroller up the stairs. We declined but it meant a lot. Food service is very leisurely during lunch so not recommended if you have time constraints. We eat rather fast and didn't anticipate a 2 hour lunch (mostly waiting) so thankfully it was a holiday. It didn't seem as long tho since we were enjoying the quaint outdoor vibes and people + dog watching. A M B I A N C E Spacious indoor dining room with earthy tones and nature-inspired hand paintings on the wall. There's a bar area and chef's counter. Awesome porch patio overlooking the Presidio lawn and Tunnel Tops area. P A R K I N G Paid parking only, it's $2.50-$3 per an hour. It's regulated every day but it was free on July 4th! Overall, despite the issues with seasoning + temps, we enjoyed our meal at Dalida. NGL, the outdoor vibes on the porch is what made it...it felt like dining in wine country. Hope they launch dinner service on the patio soon!
One of the most moist and softest pita breads I've had.
One of the few sit down restaurants in the Presidio that isn't a tourist restaurant.
An absolutely incredible meal in a beautiful inviting space
An absolutely incredible meal in a beautiful inviting space located right in the heart of the presido. One of the best brunches I've had and lovely staff. Plus the decor is perfect. I'll definitely be back to try their dinner

I've been wanting to try this restaurant ever since they opened but it was pretty hard to get a reservation. We finally got one for 5:30pm on a Sunday and we were seated right away! The restaurant itself and location in the Presidio was beautiful. There was plenty of space between tables, a couple of private rooms and a bar/lounge area for walk ins. We ended up not getting any drinks but the cocktails sounded delicious so we'll definitely be back to try those. For food we got two appetizers and two mains for three people and it was plenty of food! The pita bread came out nice and hot and fresh, and the octopus was very thinly sliced and very well sauced/seasoned! For the mains we tried the "pasta" and the steak. I personally enjoyed the steak much more. The "pasta" was very interesting but I didn't really like the consistency so it's probably not something I would order again. Overall it was a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious! Side note: unfortunately the first time our main dishes came out they were room temperature at most (it seemed like they had been sitting there for a while cause it took a while before we got them). The workers were incredibly nice about it though and brought out fresher dishes right away.
I enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant except for the fact
I enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant except for the fact that it was too loud. The noise level at the restaurant does not support and good conversation at the table. Otherwise the food is creatively presented and very interesting dishes that I have never had before were delicious and captivating.
Received a lot of hype .
..and it was good. Went with the chubby bread for appetizer. The dips and olives and dried veg was delicious. Tried the souvlaki which was also really good. The pork cheek was prepared perfectly. Moist and tender with lots of flavor. The chilis added a great touch to the meat. I def would come back and try the prix fixe menu.

Me and my husband enjoy coming here! The food is amazing, the service is decent, and the location is just dreamy!!! Last time we came over during the gloomy Saturday morning, but still decided to sit outdoors. We ordered 2 pots of hot tea (which is great quality loose tea served in cast iron pots) and were gazing over the ocean. It was such a tranquil, almost meditative, experience. The only suggestion I have is to please make sure the patio blankets are clean when given to guests. I hope Dalida is here to stay. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Walked in with a friend around 12:30pm on Sunday and they were able to seat us at the bar. The restaurant seemed pretty busy but a few tables and bar seats were open so it seemed pretty feasible to walk in for brunch but they do take reservations which is a plus. Drink: French 86 - non alcoholic spiced pear sparkling mocktail, nicely balance between sweet and tart, very refreshing and great for brunch Breakfast spread - a platter of spreads with sweet and savory options, the kaymak was almost like a whipped butter/clotted cream, strawberry rhubarb jam was tasty, favorite spread was the ajika which a savory lightly spiced red pepper dip, chocolate hazelnut spread was like Nutella, feta added a nice savory contrast Chubby pita - came with both the spread and egg dish was fantastic, warm, pillowy and fluffy, nice toasted exterior with a soft slightly chewy interior, definitely order something with bread if you visit Chilbir Turkish Eggs - this was good, two poached eggs on top of tomato braised greens, garnished with yogurt, eggs were nice and runny, braised greens were tender and flavorful, yogurt added extra creaminess and tanginess, bread was great for soaking up the sauce and yolk Service was good, food came out very promptly, servers were friendly and efficient. Overall really enjoyed brunch at Dalida, the chubby pita and ajika that was a part of the breakfast spread were the highlights for me, a little pricey given the portion sizes but worth a visit to try.
Great new Mediterranean mash up spot in the Presidio.
Service was excellent and prompt despite being busy. Had a variety of items such as octopus, artichoke salad, meze plate with chubby pitas, roast lamb and lamb manti. Location is great, not far from a park with Golden Gate views and not in the usual Mission location (which is far from my house).

My hubby and I came for Friday date night and got lucky with a seat at the chefs counter! We ordered the chefs menu and loved absolutely everything. We walked away so stuffed and fell in love with it all. Definitely a great way to try their most popular items!

Delicious food, service was perfect, and really cool experience (highly recommend sitting at the chefs counter if you're able)
Let's start with the website being incorrect - it says
Let's start with the website being incorrect - it says lunch is Wednesday to Sunday, 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Wrong. We got there at noon on a Sunday and they only had a brunch menu - lot's of eggy stuff that we had no interest in. Other things as well, but a much smaller selection than there would be on a lunch menu. If the website had been more accurate this would have been a 3 star review. The menu leans Turkish (which is fine.) I had a kebab burger which was dry and overly salty. My wife had chicken (OK but nothing special, also overly salted.) We also had a dip plate which was OK, nothing great. They also need to work on their timing. Both main courses came out while we were still working on the appetizer dips - and we tend to be fast eaters, so it's not like we were lingering too long. The dining room is bright and cheery. One more minor point that didn't affect my rating. The website gives the address as 101 Montgomery Street. It is indeed 101 Montgomery Street in the Presidio. There is also a 101 Montgomery Street on the downtown Montgomery Street, I'd be surprised if some people just enter 101 Montgomery in their GPS and end up downtown. There are other parts of the website where they say they are in the Presidio, but they should have a warning that there are two Montgomery Streets in San Francisco.
We went for the first time for my husband's birthday.
Interesting & well presented food overall. It is hard to think about the food, when the experience was disappointing. We asked to try the prefix chef's menu, but requested if they could accommodate my husband's sugar allergy. He can't tolerate processed sugar. We asked if he could be brought anything else instead of dessert at the end of the meal for him. The server initially went to check with the kitchen& we were told they could not accommodate us. We opted for the chef's menu anyway and asked to forgo the dessert options for both of us. The chef came by a few courses later to present the food. He asked more about my husband's allergy. Once he realized it was a medical indication, he apologized & said he'd be able to bring something for him instead of dessert. When the dessert course came, we were brought all three original & delicious looking sugar filled items. One with a birthday candle for my husband. We were brought the check at the same time. He blew out a candle on a cake he couldn't eat, while we waited to see if he would be brought fruit or something as promised. 15 minutes passed and no one came by to check on us. Our server busy at another table. We payed with the host & left. Disappointing to end the meal on a low note especially on a birthday.
A fantastic find in the Presidio.
Food deliciously prepared and presented. A fair price for the lunch price fix menu. Would definitely go back to try their other offerings.

Delicious food and an amazing ambience ! The staff were polite and helpful from the beginning. Their recommendations were helpful and the atmosphere was really perfect for an afternoon lunch or brunch. Definitely recommend if you're in San Francisco or visiting the Golden Gate Bridge and looking for lunch.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
