How a first class hotel should be.
This hotel should be the prototype for hotel training. The customer experience is excellent - nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff who are friendly and efficient. The bar and restaurant menus are interesting and well cooked with a varied beverage offering. The bedrooms/suites are spacious and the beds super-comfy. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Leeds (or the surrounding area).
Luxury hotel!
Really lovely welcome as you enter the reception are. Everything catered for, bags taken to room. Luxury hotel at its best! We booked a king garden room, very comfy bed and pillows! Balcony a must, even though no real outlook but didn’t matter. Coffee machine and kettle and mini fridge in room with slippers and robes on request. We loved the atmosphere so much we stayed for our evening meal. It was expensive and in heinsight should have ordered the set menu! But still wonderful experience. We sat outside for drinks and was served outside so no waiting at the bar, it was lovely. One downside, very slight one is I like to pick my breakfast in mornings, I would have had more scrambled egg no bacon and maybe another sausage. You choose from the menu. It was very nice though! Expensive hotel and food but worth it, and I’ll be returning.
Great for suites, just average for classic double rooms
An overall stunning hotel. We’ve visited 3 times in the last 2 months, twice as a couple; and most recently bringing another couple based on our recommendation. The suites (first two stays) are superb and have everything you could need. They’re not the largest suites by any measure, but are perfectly laid out with all amenities you’d require. The double rooms however (most recent visit) are clearly not looked after quite as well and are missing some of what id consider basics for a luxury hotel - no mini bar / fridge, no coffee machine etc, which you’d expect for £150 a night, especially when budget chains such as Park Inn offer for half the price. Upon arrival, our guests had tried to order two pre-dinner cocktails to their room. After 45 minutes of waiting, they had to be cancelled otherwise we’d have missed our dinner reservations. The bar is always great; however upon returning at 23:30, we were told the bar was closed, which was somewhat surprising given that on previous visits, it was open until at least 1am. Special mention to Emma on reception who consistently is a professional, welcoming and charming host who genuinely sets the tone for a superb stay, and is an absolute credit to the venue. Overall, we would certainly stay again, but never in a classic double room - unfortunately the room quality and amenities simply don’t justify the price. Maybe a special occasion only hotel.
Love the new garden rooms with terrace and staff lovely
The bedding is always beautiful. Best pillows Dave Concierge is the best employee you could wish for always superb nothing too much trouble bar staff and breakfast staff fabulous. Just don’t think reception staff are quite as friendly as used to be. But that’s because Dakota has always been 5 star and my favourite hotel in Leeds Manchester close second and Edinburgh
Good hotel - bar service appalling
The hotel rooms are amazing, superb showers and super comfy beds. However, the bar service is quite frankly the worst experience I have had in a hotel, waited close to 30 minutes for a round of 4 beers, so ordered a bottle of champagne next time only for that to take the same amount of time. The staff seemed more interested in serving the drunks coming in from the front street instead of looking after their patrons. When we tried to get a table to sit outside and enjoy the sun, we were told they were all booked which was complete rubbish as many were empty so only god knows what games they were playing. We ended up complaining to the bar manger but he couldn’t get a care in the world - said it wasn’t his job to do the staff rota !! Plenty of more bars to enjoy where service is significantly better !!
Best Hotel and staff
one of the best hotels iv ever stayed at for a long time, from my booking, the hotel, the staff everything was perfect, would highly recommend to stay here if your looking for a great location too, you could not fault one thing, the staff are a credit to the company, especially Emma on the reception, she definitely goes that extra mile, thank you all again for a great stay at this fantastic hotel
Dakota Stay
Hotel very comfortable, staff very attentive and helpful. Breakfast very good. Car access less easy but that's Leeds one-way system and applies to most city centre hotels. Shout out for Faith (staff) at breakfast. We would stay here again if visiting Leeds.
Amazing Service!
When the desk said there was no reservation from our Booking.com booking we feared disaster! Not a bit of it Courtney and Alex on reception took over completely! We were taken to the bar with complimentary drinks while they sorted it out. Because of the mix up - and even though it wasn’t the hotels fault we were given an amazing upgrade. Amazing service from a stunning hotel. We tried the restaurant- it was similarly outstanding!
THE BEST HOTEL IN LEEDS
Another wonderful stay at the Dakota Leeds, staff here are friendly especially Emma and Dom front of house and obviously Dave too. We always stay here and it is a home from home. The location is perfect and the rooms are extremley comfortable and luxurious. Definatley the best hotel in Leeds
Bed and Breakfast let us down!
The ambience of the hotel was lovely and just what we expected and it gave a really sophisticated luxurious feel. We booked a 'Classic King' room and so we were expecting a King size bed. The description was misleading as the bed was a double and certainly not a king which was very disappointing seeing as my partner is 6'3". The room itself was lovely as was the bathroom so couldn't fault that. We had drinks at the bar which we enjoyed. We had breakfast in the morning and it was shocking !! DON'T waste your money!! at £20pp Really poor selection of old tired looking fruit I had barely half an avocado spread thinly on my sourdough bread and then found a grey hair on my poached egg so was unable to eat the rest. When I brought it to the waiter's attention, they didn't offer to replace it. My partner asked for porridge to start and then a cooked breakfast to follow. They brought everything out together so had to send the cooked breakfast back as it would be cold by the time he ate it. Then when it was brought back out it was the same plate of food a bit warm. We had to summon the staff over as we weren't being served and waited at least 15 minutes to even get a coffee and then again another 10 minutes when we wanted a refill. All in all shocking service and really poor quality breakfast and experience. We did however get the breakfast fee knocked off the bill and also a small refund as the bed wasn't as described
Fabulous much needed family weekend break
Absolutely fabulous hotel, oozes luxury, cosy atmosphere, staff and customer service topnotch, great choice in both bar and grill for everyone, even at busy times they managed to find a table for us in the bar, have stayed many times and always my first choice.
Beyond words Amazing !
What a fantastic stay ! Staying at this amazing hotel again it really is one of the best we’ve ever been to. I planned to propose to my girlfriend and had spoken to the hotel a few days before asking if there was any chance of upgrading the room. Unbeknown to us when we then entered the room they had put us in the best suite in the hotel, complete with complimentary champagne. All the rooms are so well appointed and luxurious but this one was another level. Just stunning. The staff are all genuine, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel special and further enhance the experience. The bar is modern with a huge range of drinks.The restaurant is relaxed with amazing food and service. Thank you Dakota Leeds for making this the most amazing stay ever. Getting engaged is a special moment and you made it something we will remember forever. We are already planning our next stay and having experienced all that the Dakota is really can’t imagine staying anywhere else. As a side note, whilst the hotel knew we were getting engaged and so staff were aware I have to say that we have felt equally well looked after whenever we have stayed here or their Manchester hotel. They go out of their way to make this so much more than a night in a hotel. Having stayed in many hotels in this country and around the world this is one that I know I will keep coming back to when I want a special hotel break. Thank you for making our engagement something truly special.
Beautiful Hotel
This the second time we have stayed at the Dakota Leeds, its a beautiful hotel. We stayed in a signature suite and it was gorgeous. Immaculately clean, high quality furnishings and all the staff were very polite, nothing too much trouble. We wouldnt stay anywhere else when we are in Leeds

Checked into Dakota last weekend for 2 nights on my arrival reception staff were lovely friendly and very helpful a big thank you to Gabby very professional and manners impeccable.. the rooms are lovely and rooms very clean .. look forward to my next visit to Leeds and would definitely be staying in the DAKOTA .. thank you all ♦️
Great experience
We stayed using the lazy Sunday package, which was great value for money. The hotel was lovely. The room was clean and well decorated, the bed was comfy, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks in the restaurant and bar were amazing. I would highly recommend.
Luxurious hotel
We stayed as a Mother’s Day and birthday treat, and had a junior suite. The Sunday lunch was really good, great service too. The room was just beautiful and luxurious, the bed was super comfy. The mini bar was well stocked too. Breakfast was nice, the sausages were a bit burnt, and the service wasn’t as good as the Sunday lunch. I had to ask for toast and extra tea. Reception staff were all welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a really nice vibe. Was first time staying at Dakota, and would definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Excellent
After a stay at the Dakota I felt the need to let people know about the excellent customer service they provide, on arrival the concierge Dave took our car away to their parking facility while the receptionist Gabby took our details which she did in a friendly efficient manner, didn't get to meet the house keeping staff but the room was spotless and attention payed to detail, we decided to dine out that night but had breakfast the following morning where we was greeted by Alister who was friendly and informative, Conner took our order and made a point of asking if we had any allergies,, breakfast was of very good quality and service was excellent, reception staff on check out were again friendly and efficient, by the time we checked out which didn't take long, Dave the concierge had retrieved our car and had it waiting at the door for us, I can't praise the members of staff enough they are excellent hospitality ambassadors, if your looking for a stay in Leeds I would highly recommend the Dakota for a good night's sleep and customer service

Fantastic stay in the stylish, comfortable Dakota hotel
Such a lovely stay at Dakota hotel in Leeds. Came up to visit our daughter at UoL. It is excellently located within a 3 minute walk to the station with all amenities close by - restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel, although a little dark but that’s the style, is extremely chic with a lovely, comfortable bar area and attentive waiter. The rooms are really lovely, very stylish, spacious and clean. We had room 905 which had a good view over the city too. The shower was excellent and the superking bed was extremely comfortable. Only comment to make was that the toilet is surprisingly too low and fresh milk left in the fridge for beverages would be nice. Otherwise an excellent stay and we’ve booked to stay again for our daughter’s graduation in July.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
