Delicious food, but extremely overpriced.
Dined on a Monday night so it was slow. Staff was nice but nothing remarkable, simply what you'd expect. Since it was a slow night, it was nice that it was quiet, which made it feel more relaxing. Unless you have no other options, the food is yummy...otherwise you'll surely find other delicious options that are reasonable priced a stone's throw distance away.

My family and I have been staying at the Conrad with Dabble right downstairs. There are positive and negative things about this restaurant. It is the closest place to eat and the people are generally friendly. Prices are high to outrageous. The other morning I got a cup of coffee and tea for my wife and I was charged $10 for a pot of tea for my wife... My cup was $5 for some very average/sub par coffee. The day prior I came down in the evening to get coffee, a couple salads and some additional creamers for coffee and it was over $70. Last night I did order the scallop risotto and sweet potato fries. No way was it worth $70+ but I shared with anyone interested and they enjoyed it. To give you an idea, a cup of the soup of the day is $20. Call me frugal. The dessert we tried, they won't list on the in room menu, was something crème brûlée but came out as a little chocolate tower. My kids ate it but I was not excited by it.

Checked in earlier today, and I had a $100 experience credit through AMEX Fine Hotels for F&B.I just ordered a steak to go and took it up to my room and it was the most disappointing meal I have had in the last five years. Medium rare came back medium well. Also way too much gristle for a $60 steak.

Based on yelp reviews I probably wouldn't have eaten here if we didn't have a $100 Amex credit while staying at the Conrad. There are so many amazing places to eat within a block of Dabble it didn't make sense to eat here. We were the first people in after they opened for lunch and one thing is clear, they didn't bother to clean after breakfast. Honestly it looks like someone just wiped the junk from the tables onto the seats and left it. What appeared to me a high level manager maybe for Hilton (dabble is inside Conrad Hilton) came in and set down in food debris also and said something then they started cleaning up. I had the chicken sandwich, my wife had the flatbread and we had two sodas and it was $106 after a 20% tip. Yes I really paid $106 to sit on food crumbs and stained seats. The sweet potato fries were good as was the chicken sandwich but at this price point it shouldn't have a cafeteria feel to it.
Be the first to ReplyHad breakfast there during our stay.
Breakfast buffet was reasonably. Lots of options. Our server Andreas was the best, friendly, efficient and always want to make sure you have a good dining experience. Thanks Andreas.

TLDR: Come for the service and environment if you're staying at the Conrad - but that's about it? Got breakfast here and paid more than $35 for an omelete that unfortunately didn't have much flavor and that came with a slice of toasted whole wheat bread I could have gotten at the grocery store... I'd probably say just walk a few blocks to any well known food spot (it's NY!) and have a much better meal for less. ----- FOOD: Got the 3 egg omlete and credit where credit is due, the waiter let me choose 4 additions to the omelete even though the menu says to choose 3. However, the additions were barely detectable in the omelete, and overall the omelete have very little flavor. I DID like the small side of potato hash and the two small on-the-vine tomatoes that came with the omelete, but the toast was just so disappointing. ----- SERVICE: Service was great! I have no complaints here and found the people to be very nice and helpful. ----- ENVIRONMENT: It's not a bad space and there are some tables for 1-2 people near the windows which I liked.

We stayed at the Conrad hotel itself and yes we did a review for it. We decided to check out the morning of check out the breakfast menu and decided to dine in. Our waiter was super nice and attentive; wish I remembered his name. The buffet was very good and baked good were so fresh! Coffee and hot chocolate was very delicious, really glad we checked it out.

Was staying at the Conrad and decided to come here for breakfast since I had a $50 food and beverage credit. Service is pretty good and all of the employees were friendly and the restaurant is beautiful inside. But the prices at this restaurant are just INSANE. I know this is NYC but $8 for a shitty cup of coffee when any number of coffee shops within a few feet of the front door of this establishment are better and half the price. The omelette was mediocre (quite bland and the potato hash was undercooked)....and priced at $26 when it should be $20 max for NYC. The city is full of amazing restaurants....don't come here

Service is pretty good and the servers there are friendly but realistically you would only be eating here if you are staying at the Conrad. And even then you would really only be eating here if you were getting the food comped or you can expense it for work. The prices are insane even by NYC standards and realistically you can walk a couple of feet in any direction and find better cheaper food in NYCThe actual food itself is above average hotel "cafe" quality. The drinks at the bar are mediocre at best but the prices are like higher than the some of the best bars in NYC

The service was exceptional, starting with the very friendly hostess. I had a seasonal martini and tuna ceviche. They were both tasty but spendy. The tuna ceviche was on the small side for the price, see photo. It is nice to have this onsite for when you don't feel like leaving the hotel but otherwise wouldn't go back.

Please save your money and go somewhere else- we are staying at the hotel and had no other option for our breakfast credit but I would rather spend extra/out of pocket and get better food and service. The pastries tasted stale and like old oil. The coffee was probably the worst part (overpriced, tasted like milk poured into instant coffee not exactly the latte I would expect for $10 a cup). The room at the Conrad is nice but I don't know if I could come back if the food situation doesn't improve.

The steakhouse burger was amazing! Top notch, but also $38!The fries are standard and the side salad was a great portion with a lot of fixins.
Be the first to ReplyGreat hotel style restaurant located in the Conrad Midtown.
Beautifully decorated, very chic. There was a small bar and a decent amount of tables but the place was not large. My girlfriends and I were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly sat a perfect round table. Comfy seating and cozy. Our waiter Andres was fantastic. Very attentive but also gave us our space. Drink selection was impressive with great wine choices. The pricing is high here for a hotel style dining but in my opinion it was warranted. We came here for early apps and drinks. We each out the soup of the day which was out of this world. freshly made in house and the perfect blend of flavors. We also got a charcuterie board to share and it was a decent size with quality meats and cheeses. They serve bread here too and the basket had many different styles and tastes of bread. Check the hours before visiting ** They were not open for lunch when we were visiting, breakfast was weekends only and dinner was 5-10pm.**
Be the first to ReplyI live in nyc.
I worked in the industry. The food was sub par at best the charcuterie board came with ONE piece of salami. For 40$, extremely disappointing. I got the chicken, it was a $42 chicken wing with 2 pieces of broccoli. It was empty on a Saturday night in nyc which means so to be closed. Do not waste your time or money.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely love the staff here.
Very attentive and kind. Enjoyed the drinks when I can and the breakfast options the next morning. The morning waiter was also very helpful when I told him I had an allergy I needed to work around.
Be the first to ReplyReally nice space.
Beautiful bar. Good service. Enjoyed our drinks. Loved the bar nuts that accompanied our cocktails. At the end of the day I could never recommend anyone stop in unless cost is irrelevant to you. $20+ for nearly every cocktail on the menu. Most glasses of wine $16+. Was going to go with a beer, but a blue moon was $12. The ones Hilton already provided in my room were $10, so why come to the bar for a beer? Cheapest beers were $10. I can get a 6 pack for those prices. I get that the location drives the prices, but these seemed excessive even for Midtown. If I'm going to spend 75% more here, then it better be an unforgettable experience, not just good. Nothing else to complain about, but I would never visit this bar if Hilton didn't give me $60 to spend here with my stay.
