Crustacean Beverly Hills Reviews from The Last Year
Blown away! Came here with a large group of friends and we
Blown away! Came here with a large group of friends and we had so much fun sharing appetizers, the famous garlic noodles, and desserts! Crustacean definitely has a fancy vibe being in Beverly Hills but you can also dress down if you want. As soon as we came in we all noticed the really cool floor which doubles as a see through fish tank as you walk through the whole restaurant. Really fun to look at and even more fun to sit over while you eat. The service was very prompt and the staff were very kind with everyone's requests. Some of my favorite foods were definitely the Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings, Little Gem Salad, Garlic Noodles, and of course the lobster!! A lot of my friends ordered the crab which I had a bite of and it was also amazing. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here honestly. Parking is also very easy with either valet or a parking garage right across the street which was not very expensive.
My food was so delicious, I had garlic noodles with chicken
My food was so delicious, I had garlic noodles with chicken on top. Also my caesar salad was amazing, definitely one of my my top 3 salads. The waiter was very accommodating, the first table I didn't like, so he sat us in the main dining room with the fish underneath us. The restaurant is so pretty with lots of flowers decorated along the walls.
Great location, ambiance decent, unfortunately their staff
Great location, ambiance decent, unfortunately their staff is not knowledgeable of their own website or address. I returned because a bartender from the other night at this location pushed their happy hour. The employee was not aware so I showed a photo of their website - and the manager straight up says, "that's not our location or website"... The rudeness after the photo exposure was unnecessary.
You have to answer a document before they will allow you in
You have to answer a document before they will allow you in but that was not the worst of their pompous attitude. Our party of four to be was told ninety minutes to eat and then we had to get out. That restriction along with their application caused us not to go. It us not like they are rated in the top of restaurants in la
In the heart of Beverly hills, parking sucks but luckily
In the heart of Beverly hills, parking sucks but luckily there is an enormous parking structure across the street. This place is just literally for the gram locations. Was hyped to go try the food and tbh its probably the worst place i've been too. The service is great and the restaurant is clean and ascetically this place is beautiful but thats about it. For the prices they charge here i expected the food to be extraordinary but i was wrong. The appetizers were mediocre. We had the crab puffs, the coconut prawns, chicken meatballs, and the filet mignon satay. Crab puffs had no flavor and tasted like they had been re heated and were just greasy, sad because its a "signature dish". Coconut prawns with the sauce they serve were fresh and crunchy but again no flavor, they relied on the sauce to do all the work, and it helps but couldn't save the dish. The filet mignon satay was salty and i had to get about 4 refills of ice tea to get the saltiness flavor out of my mouth. The only thing i liked were the chicken meatballs. Was the only dish with flavor and it was freshly made. I decided to pull the plug on this lunch after the sub par dishes. All in all wouldn't come back, If they cant get the basic appetizers right i don't want to even try the main dishes.
I took a friend of mine there for her bday we had a great
I took a friend of mine there for her bday we had a great time an when was leaving we shred with the manager how much of a great time we had he said is your name Lateicia Jones I said no it's LateiciaS Stokes he said next time choose another establishment I said huh h said yes you didn't tip the waiter the way you should have but you bought all them drinks zi couldn't believe this Manager I'm like reallyI what happen it because of my tip this sad we spent $500.00 in his restaurant an this is how he treats us wow it's o sad
Garlic noodles were sweet & savory garlic goodness.
Crab fried rice was pretty tasty. Crab puff nothing major. Coconut cake a lgjt and fluffy treat. Tumeric drink refreshing. Waitress was working both my table and bar. She was kind and apologetic for extended wait time. Def return for the garlic noodles and perhaps try a few other items.
Came here with some coworkers and had a great time.
The restaurant is gorgeous. Love the clear walkways with the fish swimming around. Free parking for 2 hours in the lot across the street Hearts of Palm crab cake- I wouldn't say it tasted like a crab cake but it was delicious none the less. Tuna Cigar- presentation on this is awesome! it comes in cigar box that they open and smoke pours out. It was also delicious!! Garlic Roasted Dungeness Crab- confession, I didn't pay for this meal so I had no idea how much this way. However, this was a very very generous portion. Presentation came with a big crab shell over it and it was filled with crab. Garlic Noodles- this is what I feel like everyone is always talking about and I was the most excited for. This totally lived up to the hype and was absolutely delicious. I really need to figure out how to make these myself. Filet mignon shaken beef- not going to lie, I was pretty stuffed by the time I got to this and took half of it home. My favorite part of this was the potatoes though, it was nice and crispy. Warm Beignets - I hate coffee and how the flavor permeates everything so I was a little hesitant to try out the sauce. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the sauce was actually delicious with just the faintest hint of coffee. I want to come back to try more things!
I had an amazing time at Crustacean! I came here with some
I had an amazing time at Crustacean! I came here with some of my coworkers and we really enjoyed catching up and having a great meal. They had a giant fish tank under the floors that you could see and stand on, my seat was right on top of it which was cool and also a little scary. The most popular order we got was the crab with garlic noodles and everyone loved it. I got the Mongolian lamb which was delicious and perfectly cooked. We also got a few orders of the garlic noodles which were also super tasty. The waiters were super helpful and because we had a large group there were a few that were serving us so someone was always around if we had a question or needed a drink refill. For dessert we got the table side ice cream which was soo cool. They poured liquid nitrogen into a bowl with cream and made ice cream in front of our eyes. then used it to top a chocolate cake. This was a super cool experience.

Love this restaurant! It had been at least 20 years since I had been to Crustacean and now I wonder what took me so long. Met a group of friends here and it is the perfect place for trying all kinds of dishes as a group. Really fu. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere amazing. Food is best of all.
Their food is never a let down.
Such a beautiful experience with their ambiance and overall excellent service. They really take the time to make sure you have a great experience. All of my big moments are celebrated here for a reason, and their GARLIC NOODLES changed my life. I break my carb diet for those only!!!!! Always have and always will!! Impeccable seafood and the drinks are amazing.
Yana at Crustacean took great care of my girlfriend and I.
the food was fabulous and her service was five star.
The food is remarkable.
So unique! Try the tuna cigars and the Jerusalem artichoke soup! Our server, Yana, was so welcoming and personable that she elevated our experience. This place is one of a kind!
We arrived before our actual reservation time, but we were
We arrived before our actual reservation time, but we were seated immediately - probably because not a lot of people were there because it was raining so hard. Nevertheless, we were acknowledged as soon as we set foot into the restaurant. We had a nice server attend to us who gave us excellent suggestions. We got the tuna cigars with caviar, the A Sum Family Tree dim sum, the garlic noodles with colossal prawns, the Dungeness crab, the fried rice and the table side ice cream. The tuna cigars (it's only two pieces per order - so $10 per cigar) were divine. I don't know how they did it but they made all those ingredients work so well together. The saltiness of the caviar, the cream, the texture of the tuna against the crunch of the feuille de brick coalesced into this unforgettable flavor bomb. The presentation of the dimsum was understated but elegant. We each had a piece of the appetizers. My brother's beef skewer was chewy, but once alerted to the issue, our server brought over two skewers that were tender. The fried rice, the crab, the noodles were all delicious, but what really caught everyone by surprise was how creamy and fresh the ice cream was. We were so happy and full by the end of the meal, we didn't realize we had been at Crustacean for several hours. It was such a fun night. And a literal feast for the senses! It's such a beautiful restaurant - it's been a critical part of the Beverly Hills landscape since 1997. I'm glad it survived the pandemic and is even better than ever. I intend to visit Crustacean with friends again and again.
Called the restaurant and they said reservations are needed
Called the restaurant and they said reservations are needed even for the power lunch. Reservations were easy to make online and there was plenty of space for the next day which was a weekday. The power lunch was $39 and includes an appetizer, a main course and dessert. We ordered the steamed shrimp and lobster dumplings and the filet mignon beef satay as appetizers, the Riveye Banh Mi Pho Dip and the Cran fried rice (extra charge of $9) as the mains and the Coconut Cake and fresh fruit in coconut milk sago for dessert. The dumplings and beef satay were ok. The flavours were there but nothing really stood out. The beef satay was a bit on the overcooked side and was not very hot. The crab fried rice was good and had lots of crab and had a very light flavour. The banh mi dip was excellent and the potato chips were so tasty and crunchy and the pho soup was sooo good. We also ordered the garlic noodles for $17 (regular price was $22). The garlic noodles were good and is their signature dish, although today's noodles were a tad bit on the sweet side. The coconut cake was very good and very light. The coconut milk sago with fresh fruit was good as well. This power lunch set is definitely a good deal and quite filling overall. Service was very attentive overall.
For the price this place is a nightmare.
The food is decent, but not incredible. The bathroom was not well kept. The jasmine ice cream reminded the men in the group of the smell of the ULINE urinal cake. One of the waitstaff told us that the Lychee in the Lichee martini was a white olive. For over $650 we barely had a full meal between six of us. Buyer beware. Go to Alhambra.
I took my wife here for a first date and it was the best
I took my wife here for a first date and it was the best experience ever. We relive and relove every visit. Food is always good and very consistent. The service is top tier and the ambiance will give you everything to cherish. Highly recommend Ann's favorite garlics noodles and garlic dungeon crab. Yumm.
We went for their power lunch - $40 for a 3-course lunch
We went for their power lunch - $40 for a 3-course lunch including an appetizer, entree, and dessert. A bit pricey for an average lunch but we've been wanting to try it for a while! Portions are small but surprisingly filling. I started with the filet mignon beef satay, ramen cacio e pepe, and beignets with ice cream added, with a black tea to finish. I got to taste a few of my friends dishes including the crab fried rice (I can see why this one's a hit!), lemon white fish (was a fan of this one), prawn mango salad, and their desserts - coconut cake and chocolate cookie (yum). You won't be disappointed with the flavors but it is pretty pricey. Service was great although they do try to upsell and ambiance is nice. We sat in the outside patio next to the street and it felt very nice. I do intend to come back! It's a great place to come solo or with friends and family.
The food was amazing.
The Aviance was beautiful. The service was excellent. The drinks were exceptional they provided excellent customer service very friendly and professional definitely will be going back. I attended my 63rd birthday. I highly recommend this place.
Went for lunch today for the first time.
I had tried Anqi before but not this restaurant. Loved the decor and service was great. I know website mentions dress code recommendations but for lunch there were people wearing regular clothes including jeans/tank top and even some in their sweatpants. Power lunch menu- highly recommended for $39!! It's a steal. We had to order extra cigar and garlic noodles of course
This spot can do no wrong! food is fantastic.
service is superb and the ambiance is sexy
Crustacean located in Beverly Hills.
Easy parking. I came here few times and always enjoy it. Ambiance is great with cool decor, food tastes yummy with presentations. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I also like their desert and cocktails.
Not the experience you think you are paying for
It wasn’t the experience we expected. The gent you check in with is young and rude-no smile. Maybe it’s the price point. We made the reservation almost 20 days in advance for a romantic birthday dinner. They never acknowledged the birthday, our food came out cold, we had to keep asking for more water, and it totally wasn’t what you would expect for the 5 star price point.
Average - Underwhelming
Average, but overpriced. I was a fan of Crustacean in years past but my visit this week was underwhelming. The garlic noodles seemed almost bland, salt and pepper calamari was good, but average. Prices for both seemed a bit high. Likely won't return as the flavors seemed to be missing. Service was good, but the dinner was unremarkable.
