Food was delicious.
We ordered the family size dinner and had plenty of food to feed 5 adults
Be the first to ReplyFor me it hit all the spots.
It had great flavor, the seafood was good, it was messy (which is a good thing) and the service was quick. Our server was also pretty funny and delightful. Not something I eat often but this is where I go when I'm craving it
Be the first to ReplyExactly as described.
Finger licking good. I don't like king crab legs so I just order by the pound and get extra scallops. I do wish they had more sauce choices.
Be the first to ReplyI thought it was okay.
Their oysters are five stars. They have some great flavor and crunchy little caviar on them. The king crab legs were only okay in their sauce and for 65 bucks were a little underwhelming with one potato in the bag. I just didn't think the sauce they are known for was that good and for one hundred dollars I left still hungry?
Be the first to ReplyThis rang the bell as our worst restaurant meal ever.
The scallops tasted 'off', shrimp was cooked with vein in so it tasted like poop, the garlic in the butter garlic sauce was old. Very disappointing. Wine and beer fine!

My husband and I tried Crackin' Crab a few months ago to see how it compares to our favorite "Storming Crab". Yup, Storming Crab is still our favorite. Cracking' Crab wasn't bad. Just lacking the good service and cool ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyAlways a must in the ABQ.
Food is always good and service is knowledgeable but could use a brush up on refills in a timely manner. Decor and music don't match.
Be the first to ReplySomeone gifted us a Crackin Crab gift card.
My husband called ahead ensure all locations would accept this gc before dining. When we got our check at the Rio Rancho location, we were imformed they would not accept gc afterall. When we spoke to the manager, she said she would follow up with Eastside store to resolve miscommunication. Meanwhile, our waitress snactched our debit card, still laying on the table alongside the gc, and charged the whole amount. Manager in Rio Rancho never returned to our table to follow-up. When we called the Jefferson location to follow-up ourseves, the manager denied her employee had spoken to my husband earlier in the evening. We will be gifting gc to homeless family soon as we will not be dining at either location ourselves in the future.

What can I say it's got good service and the food is great with plenty of spice always hot and fresh
Be the first to ReplyVery expensive for what you get.
Not much to choose from for less than a super hearty appetite. Could have better options and ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is simply amazing.
The seafood is fresh and the flavors delish. And the owners are pretty nice to boot. Highly recommend.

A place filled with seafood if you ever crave it! Inside is cool and staff is nice. M favorite menu item is the crawfish and the sauce they make to cook the crawfish in is always delicious!

Went here with the hubby the day after we eloped and this place is awesome! Clean atmosphere, good service and some really good seafood as well as unique sauce. We order crawfish, mussels, shrimp and I got rice. Seafood is fresh, the crawfish was different than the type we're used to so it poked quite a bit but still delicious. A lot of restaurant like this overcook their shrimp so I typically don't order it since the crawfish is the main thing I go for. I tried the shrimp my husband order and hands down the best seafood boild style shrimp ever. Perfectly cooked, did not have the off putting "fresh water shrimp taste" and was delicious! Rice was cooked perfectly as well. My husband is hard to impress at times and the shrimp was his favorite of all. If we're ever back in that area I would definitely go again. The only downside is I wished they included more potatoes, corn and sausage. You have to order a certain amount to get more but that's the only complaint.
Be the first to ReplyThe catfish was old and tasted fishy! Won't be returning.
It makes me wonder if the other seafood is fresh??!!
Be the first to ReplyThe flavors were fantastic.
I wish they would have cut the andouille sausage into pieces instead of giving me the whole link. None the less, I will be back when I'm in town and having a craving.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for dinner and the food was amazing.
Got the seafood combo with lemon pepper and mild. Mild already has a kick to it so I'm glad I didn't get anything crazier. There's a good combo of food... just weird how a clearly 2 portion meal comes with only one potato and corn lol. The sauce is on the saltier side but it's still good. I also got the fried calamari and it was soooo good. The oysters were fresh but nothing special. The service is great here -- very attentive and nice. Didn't feel like the service was slow like some of the other reviewers mentioned.
Be the first to ReplyThe wait was a little long but the food was soooo worth it.
We got the hot lemon pepper and it was perfect!!!

Great food! Great service! Great prices! It's seafood, expect to pay prices accordingly
Be the first to ReplyThe food is good, but expensive.
A potato and a corn cob should have been part of the dinner price - not a side at an additional cost. A large bag of potatoes now and before the pandemic was and is not that expensive especially when the potato is not served loaded. The price of corn has gone up, but not so much that it wasn't included in a dinner cost. Sausage size is small for the price. The medium spice for the boil is still a bit hot. For these reasons, I chose not to be a customer anymore. During and since the Pandemic many restaurants have raised prices, decreased portion sizes, and now more than ever one must check the take out order before leaving the site. Yes, one must make a profit, but It's all a bit greedy for my taste.

Wow! What an amazing experience! For the first time ever, I didn't feel judged eating crab legs! Everyone in the room had on bibs and their tables were covered with crustacean discards. We opted for the medium spices... too hot for me-but my husband wanted it hotter! We will definitely return to restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyThe best seafood in Albuquerque.
I prefer this location to the Winrock location. They also doubled their seating area recently. This til we went, there was no wait to be seated. Staff was friendly and quick.Food was delicious as usual.
Be the first to ReplyThis would've been more of a 4.
5 but the food was just so good. The only thing we didn't like was the small space. Also don't like how they bring food in the bag and don't pour it out on a platter for easier dining. Storming crab has more room for big tables. Food was perfect and service was good even though staff was short. So good.

As someone who's barely venturing into the Cajun food scene I gotta say, I was highly impressed with this place! It made me realize I like scallops and muscles! Everything was delicious and the service was stellar. I'll definitely be coming back!
Be the first to ReplyI think I've found my new seafood splurge, I'm not so rich
I think I've found my new seafood splurge, I'm not so rich that I can just go our and eat on a whim. We try to go out for once nice meal a week and we'll treat ourselves to an excessively pricy meal. We ended up getting king crab and lobster and it turns out after decades of thinking I like lobster more I actually prefer the taste and texture of crab more... The food was very good but I'm not a huge fan of spice on seafood so I ended up asking for some butter which they happily provided.I'll be back.

We visited yesterday and my daughter had a pink hair in her fried shrimp. I showed it to the waitress and she said so sorry. Nothing was taken off bill or no new food was brought out.
