Simply the best
A real neighborhood gem. We have been coming here for more than 15 years. Canโt beat the country breakfast and blueberry pancakes. Homemade biscuits. Great vibe. Friendly staff. Lunch also wonderful. Delicious rice bowls. We moved downtown on the east side and travel all the way up here for their fabulous breakfasts. Highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyGreat breakfast and brunch spot
We were in town for a long weekend and new friends suggested this spot. A variety of items from the menu looked absolutely yummy! I had the special which was truffle eggs with mushrooms. arugula and potatoes, so tasty. My son had brioche French toast and inhaled it. My husband and friends had the huevos rancheros, pretty good however the chorizo was a bit dry according to my husband. Great place overall!
Be the first to ReplyUsed to be great, lost all its love and is now a HATE FACTORY
I have been coming since the place opened, and live for the last 20 years, nearby, I have been coming nearly every weekend for at least the last 12 years whenever I have been in town, always ordering the same thing. I personally know ALL the staff pre-COVID, after Covid the place changed, though David ( the manager ) remains. Over the years, i have noticed the quality drop, little cuts - they used to serve you 4 packages, now you get 3. Maple butter ( extra) used to be free, there is an uncharge now. I miss the beet chips that used to come with the fish sandwich. David sometimes makes an appearance, but the place is run for the last 3-4 years by a group of new people who DON'T CARE - and generally hate their jobs. The animosity is passed on to food. I no longer feel comfortable eating here - and today they lost a customer has been going for the last 10+ years. David was no where to be seen, and the "manager" on duty there, essentially told me to get lost. The don't care because Columbia students will come here anyway, the place cycles out with people who are transient - they don't need local customers. I am never coming back
Be the first to ReplyThe best NYC breakfast
We rented an apartment on the UWS starting in 2010. Moved to Nomad in 2014. And we still travel to Community for the best breakfast in NYC. Country breakfast and blueberry pancakes are a must. The country breakfast is served with delicious perfectly browned potatoes and a fabulous biscuit. Pancakes are light and filled with fresh blueberries. The staff is so friendly and attentive. LOVE this place. Great for lunch as well
Be the first to ReplyDelicious breakfast
We had a great breakfast meal here this morning - one of us had the special of Truffle Eggs, one of us had the Florentine Benedict poached eggs, and I had an omelette with bacon and goat cheese. Fast, quick service, the food was delicious. The coffee drinkers gave their cups a thumbs up, too. Nice, friendly staff, which is ALWAYS a plus. Will be returning during future visits to NYC.
Be the first to ReplyI Won't Go Back
This is the second time I have tried brunch at this restaurant and now I can say that I will never go back with certainty! The eggs benedict florentine with artichokes was not good and the eggs over easy with hash brown potatoes was not good. The eggs were practically raw!
Be the first to ReplyTHE MUSIC OH PLEASE GOD MAKE IT STOP
Food was great but the music was so repellent and loud with only muffled repetitive bass- so loud you could not hear anyone at your table. Setting gets negative star. I won't return unless carry out
Be the first to ReplyReally good family style brunch
We had brunch here with another family: seating for 7 was accommodated easily and we were placed discretely away from the hungover Halloween crew which probably suited everyone just fine! Food was fab: service also good, and unusually for NYC it was very good value for money. Top tip: portions are huge so whatever you are thinking, and however hungry you think you are, SHARE!
Be the first to ReplyQuality place and good value
Great food and service. The staff is very attentive. A great find. Subsequently found out it has a very strong reputation in the area around Columbia and I see why. So glad I stopped in. A great harbor of hospitality and respite in the upper west side for sure!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and sumptuous meals. Good service. Convenient location to Columbia U.
The food here is creative and delicious, with very sizable portions. Service is good. If you're near Columbia and looking for a good food and good value, this is the place.
Be the first to ReplyGrouper sandwich was great
Quick family stop for lunch and we all enjoyed it. The grouper sandwich, though, was the highlight dish for us. Staff was nice.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food but service was uneven
Had brunch here on a cold wintry day. Sat inside. Restaurant seemed to be attentive to COVID protocols. The food was great. The service was uneven however. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive but another waiter literally pushed one of our party aside as we were entering the restaurant. Guess he was in a hurry to get in the door! Quite rude. Never apologized.

If you are looking for bad attitude - look no further. You gotta love a place that thinks their better than their clientele
Be the first to ReplyGo for the Blueberry Pancakes!
They serve some of the best blueberry pancakes I've had in NYC. I didn't used to love pancakes but their blueberry pancakes completely changed my opinion of them. The other brunch offerings aren't really that special though so just go for the blueberry pancakes.

Most of what this restaurant has going for it is its great location on Broadway near the University, and itโs comfortable and stylish dining room. Beyond that... Iโd recommend giving it a miss. The food is fine, the service is quick and friendly, but everything is much more expensive than at similar spots nearby. If price is no object, by all means go here and youโll have a fine experience, but you can get a much better meal at a similar price at either Le Monde or Mill Korean without even leaving the block.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Food !
Really great food and nice atmosphere. I had the pan roasted sea scallops with wild mushroom grits and they were FANTASTIC !! Perfectly cooked and so well seasoned. Side of sweet potato fries just right. Our server was lovely and made us feel very comfortable. No wait at 7 on a Monday night.
Be the first to ReplyGet there early!
I went with a group of friends for breakfast. We were reccomended this restaurant by many, and we knew jt gets busy so we came early and the food was delicious! I had the french toast!
