Coastal Fish Company Cordova Reviews from The Last Year
Would definitely come again
Situated in a park, this is a lovely setting and building with minimalist design is striking. The friendly staff was accommodating. I foolishly came on a saturday afternoon without a reservation and the hostess found a seat for me at the bar. My fish was way too salty but that seems to be a thing around these parts. The accompaniments were inventive and delicious. My request to leave the bacon off was managed (should have asked for no added salt.....).
Not gonna find a better place in Memphis to eat seafood.
More staff in here than any restaurant I have ever visited. Atmosphere is mostly perfect, although can get a little crowded. I have eaten here several times, and I think it's fabulous. Bring the credit card, because food and service like this is not cheap. Here, you truly get what you pay for.
Never disappoints!!
This place doesn't disappoint. Only wish they had a dress code for lunch. Not fun looking out at men in baseball caps, gym shorts, and tees. The food and service were diviine. We had the Seafood Cobb Salad with their special ranch dressing. Wonderful.
A little pricey service was great.
The atmosphere was nice bring your freaking visa. I've been there a couple of times, and each time just gets a little bit more expensive in the service gets a little bit worse.

I've been back several times since my last review! I must say they are pretty consistent with their service, food, and vibe. I always love sitting one the patio. The water is just so beautiful to view. It's relaxing and just sets a tone unmatched. Guess what? I am now an oyster lover! I literally went with a friend and sampled all of the oysters. We had the following: Lump Crab Melt- 10/10-This is packed with meat, cheese and crouton style bread. It is the first I ever had and the best. I love it. NOLA Style- 9/10- This is simple, but packs flavor. This is especially good with the lemon juice and hot sauce. Bacon, Bourbon & Chipotle 6/10 - packed with bacon and topped with a jalapeño. The bacon was a bit hard and was falling off the oyster. I couldn't enjoy it. I wish the bacon was cooked more into the oyster. Lobster Brie Thermidor - 10/10 - This was packed with cheese and lobster as well, but has a completely different taste than the lump crab meat kind. Super good.

Well done CFC! We had a crab cake, chopped salad and the trout dinner. All were delicious. The paring of Idaho rainbow trout, risotto cake topped with a leek and crab fondue was awesome. Possibly the best trout I've ever had ... and I consume a lot of fish. The bartender was very knowledgeable and was willing to share her thoughts in an articulate manner. She was great and the atmosphere pleasant but active. Pics included minus one bite. Ha! We will return!

The food was so good that we doubled back twice! Being from Florida, we know great seafood, this spot did NOT disappoint at all. My 7 year old devoured her blackened salmon, and the mashed potatoes tasted as if my grandmother made them. I wish we had a location in Jacksonville, Florida because this was amazing. The service was exceptionally great. The view...BEAUTIFUL.
Exciting Atmosphere, Good Food
This restaurant is a very bustling place!! It has an exciting atmosphere. The service was great! The food was very good. We went with friends to celebrate an accomplishment. Dishes we tried were: Calamari, Shrimp Diavolo, Chopped Salad, Clam chowder, chilean sea bass, Coconut Crème Brûlée. All were very good.

Food was bland.
Service was good. Drinks were good. Atmosphere is very nice. Would go again but order something different.
Evan was an amazing server.
I will most definitely return for the Old Cuban and more...
Well prepared fish made for a great meal
First visit and the food was great: entrees we selected were Key West grouper and yellowfin tuna. Both cooked perfectly. Lovely server named Adrianna. This is an. expensive place, but it was packed on a Tuesday night.
Came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday.
Food was fresh, service was super fast. Great appetizers and the atmosphere was inviting. The cocktails really seal the deal here.
Very Over Rated
Let’s start with the positives. The view is nice and the service is good. Unfortunately, the food left MUCH to be desired. We had the egg rolls for an appetizer and they were ok, certainly nothing to rave about. Each of our salads, one chopped, and the other a wedge, were delicious. The entrees were left uneaten for the most part. I had the lobster ravioli. There was very little lobster in the shell and the one lobster prawn was so tough that I couldn’t cut it. The pasta was ok but nothing better than I have had at a chain restaurant. To make matters worse, the dish was served cold. My husband had the Red Rock Shrimp which turns out to be a watery soup with a side of rice. The flavor was mild but the shrimp was over cooked and tough. The dish was not described as a soup. Our bill was $190 with gratuity. Wouldn’t have resented the tab if the food had been more than average.
What Fine Dining is All About
This is what fine dining is all about. Excellent food and service. We visited during the holidays. They have their act together. Lovely atmosphere.
Fine Dinning
KUDOS to the Management, Hostess, Kitchen, Serving, and Valet Teams at Costal Fish Company for collectively providing a SUPERB guest/dinning experience! Even on this very busy Saturday night (12/16/23), you maintained an IMPRESSIVE Level of Personal and Professional Service. The restaurant was so busy, we could not re-connect with Sarah V, our All-Time FAVORITE Server. Instead, Kayton, (Ole MS Grad, on an Accelerated Nursing Degree Program) was our Server tonight and she was DELIGHTFUL!
Not really my thing. Better dining for the price elsewhere.
So, I'm going to start off by saying this isn't my typical preferred restaurant style. It's a little 'fancy' for my taste. I don't like exotic ingredients and overly complicated dishes. Yeah, more of a meat-potatoes guy, but not quite as limited as that implies. Regardless, overall I would say it was a relativley good experience. The Good: Food was good. Not great, but good. I tasted three apetizers. Calamari was good, not tough like most times I've had it. Blue crab claws were ok, but not as good as expected. The shrimp and cheese dip was very good as well. I had the filet for my meal. It was a good cut, but was a little under-seasoned. It was cooked perfectly medium as requested. The ok: Service was friendly, but slow. They were surprisingly busy for a weeknight, but I didn't expect it to take 2 hours and 20 minutes for us to go from seated to leaving. I had the key lime pie (traditional, it also comes in dark chocolate covered), the texture was good, the crust was good, but it was just a little too sweet. Plus it was $11 for an average sized slice, probably not large enough to share. The Bad: The restaurant has two seating areas, one indoors around the bar, which was fine, and a 'patio' that was mostly enclosed. Outdoor temps were in the upper 40's and the patio was uncomfortable. They had about 40 propane heaters around the room so there was this weirdly inconsistent temperature depending on where you sat. Sometimes I was comfortable, then I would get cold with no warning. Management should just go ahead and put in a heating system to be consistent. The patio was very loud. There were 8 of us at the table and I could not hear the person sitting across from me. It was very difficult to carry on a conversation. Cost. The cost was not excessive, but for what I got I felt like it was overpriced. My filet was $52 and included mashed potatoes and a vegtable. Filet was probably 6 oz. Compared to my favorite steak place where I can get a 12oz filet, salad, baked potato, and bread for $50. It's also a superior steak both in the quality of the meat and the seasoning. I guess I just expected better given the price. Last negative... the men's bathroom had two stalls. One was fine, but the second one was tiny. It was hard to get into and out of and I felt claustrophobic using it. In conclusion, I wouldn't choose to eat here again. I wouldn't discourage anyone from going, but I think there are better options available. I could see how others would like it better.
Picturesque outside covered dining with quality seafood options and extensive wine selection
Relaxing lunch and with just some improvements could be a top seafood destination. We were a party of four so were able to order several apps and check out 4 entrees. One overall comment: Butter is very overused here. On the mussels dish we expected a nice mild (seafood)broth as it typical but they were bathed in overcooked butter. A redfish dish was an excellent piece but again, overbuttered as were its accompanying rice. Crabcake was heavy on panko and too much butter. Oysters Rockefeller were overcooked and again drenched in borderline burned butter. Also they didn't warn us they shut down at 2 pm so we had our entrees get there about 2 minutes after our apps-not properly paced. Service was uneven as a number of servers bring items but once brought we had to keep asking for drink refills and water.
A wonderful Sunday brunch!
We’ve been to the Coastal Fish Company once before- the service is best- in-class! Our server, Ayler, was attentive and provided great recommendations. The lobster bisque rivaled all of the bisques we had in New Orleans- creamy/ buttery/ thick- delicious! The setting is gorgeous - I can’t recommend CFC enough!

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
