Amazing !! First of all, the place is stunning !! There is a stunning red chandelier in the main entrance that catches your eye. Our server and her assistant were fabulous! They made sure we had everything we needed and made sure to offer suggestions and make recommendations. The food itself was spectacular and came out at the perfect time. The star of the show had to be the side Ceaser salad which is made table side and the chicken saltimbocca. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner out !!

Multiple reasons for an "average" rating: Ambiance is 5 stars certainly. We sat in a "cellar room" located in the center of the restaurant inside at a large table meant for bigger party sizes (we had about 9-10 people). It was perfect for a large group of people and there were floor to ceiling windows looking out on the rest of restaurant but drapes if your party wants privacy. Multiple servers and staff for our specific room certainly enhanced the experience. We also were offered a sommelier to consult with for our wine orders. Wine is incredibly overpriced. You would expect the standard double to 150% markup on the retail price of a bottle of wine. However, a specific bottle of white wine (retail for $18-20) at another Short North Cameron Mitchell restaurant sold for around $48-52 goes for almost $70 at Cento. Unacceptable markup and frankly, grounds for never ordering wine here. Glasses go for $18-24 (almost the retail price of a bottle sometimes!). The ambiance does NOT differentiate that much between Columbus CM restaurants to justify that much of a markup at Cento over the Pearl/Guild House, etc. Other cocktails are $17 each. Worth it? Ehhh probably (I'd say $14 is a perfect price) but on par with an elevated dining experience and I'm not gonna argue that one. Apps are presented by the server and on the menu to be shared. Our larger party ordered at least 3 to share and they were delightful and easy to spread around. Personally, I prefer Lindey's burrata ( right up the road) compared to Cento's but it was still excellent. WOULD NOT SUGGEST the table side Caesar. Caught a glimpse of it multiple times throughout the night at other tables and it did not look special at all. At $24 you're also clearly paying for the table side service and not a whole lot goes into stirring up some romaine, croutons, Parmesan and dressing. The patrons I caught glimpses of didn't seem too impressed with the end result either. But to each their own. Entrees were presented and tased well but, again, way overpriced for the sheer amount of food. The pasta dishes other members of our party ordered looked and tasted incredible but absolutely cannot be shared when you may only have 10-15 pieces of rigatoni on your plate for $27. I ordered the branzino and my girlfriend ordered the chicken saltimbocca. We both enjoyed them but agreed the size and taste justified somewhere in the mid $30s not the upper $45-50 range (a chicken dish for $45?!?). Lastly, the desserts were the best part I believe. Absolute must is the tiramisu. Soooooo good. Chocolate torte and gelato were also ordered and everyone in our party had a clean plate by the end. Overall, for two people sharing three apps across 9 people, two cocktails/glasses of wine each, two entrees, and one dessert brought the bill to around $230 before tip. Upon leaving the restaurant, all 9 of us stood in a circle and agreed we were happy to have gone once and tried the highly anticipated Cento. Everyone did enjoy the room, the ambiance and the food. But no one would suggest going again. Hence the middle of the road review. Good, not great. The outdoor patio looked lovely for the warmer weather days but I'm genuinely curious how Cento will do in the winter months and at these very elevated prices after the initial allure of the brand new place wears off.

I've been here 2 times in the past month and had a very nice experience both times. Start off, the service is fantastic. Very friendly and wait staff is very attentive. You essentially have 2 servers for the table that help each other. There was continuous filling of water, checking on drinks, changing out of silverware. They are also very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great suggestions. The manhattan has mocha cherries which were delicious! The dirty martini made with basil infused cocchi which was a nice twist. We had the burrata, beef carpaccio, tuna and Caesar salad for starters. Burrata was very good. Beef carpaccio sliced to perfection. Tuna was tasty ( wish it was a bit bigger portion). We prefer the scarpinocc and rigatoni pastas for the table along with a side of meatballs. The pastas cooked to perfection. The scarpinocc was better than the rigatoni. Three large meatballs were served on the side in a tomato sauce. So tender, and delicious! I had the pork chop. Double bone in. Cooked amazingly. Tender and moist. The Cipollini Agrodolce was a bit on the heavy side, the dish could probably do without so much of it, but one of the best pork chops I've had. On my second visit I had the chicken. Not great. Fairly dry and bland. Others at the table had the veal parm which they said was really good. A huge portion of veal with bone in. The 3 at the table couldn't finish it and had to box the rest of it for home. For dessert had the torte, gelato and lemoncello tart. The torte was average. Gelato was great. The tart was the best dessert I tried. Overall a really nice 2 evenings. Ambience and service are top notch. Appetizers are very good, though on the smaller side as for portion size. Pasta is really good. I will say It is fairly pricey so probably a nice place for a special occasion.

Made a reservation and they said they only had seats at the bar. We were perfectly fine with that, but pleasantly surprised when they sat us on the patio. The filet mignon was the best we ever had, period. Staff was also amazing, great servers! We'll be back!

....Welcome to CARBONE! I'm chuckling at the folks who say...oh the portions are small and it's so expensive. The menu is posted on line - it ain't the freegin Olive Garden or the shell that carrabbas once was. We are so damn fortunate to have a place like this in our town. Congrats on your 100th buddy!

Cento lived up to the hype, particularly in terms of service. From the beginning to the end of the meal, we had something like 5 different people taking care of our dinner needs, from our excellent main server to the in-house sommelier to a manager who checked on us to a gentleman who set up our Caesar salad to be made tableside. Everyone was equally attentive to all the other tables: it is clear they want you to have an excellent experience in all ways. We ordered one dish from every part of the menu: antipasto, veggies, pasta, mains, and dessert. The beef carpaccio was the best I've ever had; the veal Parmesan carbonara were very rich and well proportioned; we took some home as leftovers. The Caesar salad was excellent and very fresh (especially as we watched it being made next to us). The cocktails were standouts, especially the dirty martini with their house olives that had a hint of spiciness to it. Even the course was interesting and more than the typical simple bread basket at another restaurant. Cento is definitely pricey, but you are pay for the great ambience, and a very personalized experience. Especially recommend for a special occasion, as they will go all out for a birthday or something like that.

I just had to try Cento and my friend finally got us a reservation. The staff was attentive and friendly from valet, to entrance, to table... 10/10. Our waiter explained the menu and specials in great detail. He answered any and all questions we had and was very attentive. The ambiance gave sultry romance. It was absolutely beautiful. The food unfortunately was just average and the pasta was a smaller portion than anticipated. However, the desserts were absolutely stunning.

Wow finally made it to Cento and it did not disappoint! The staff really turns your meal into an experience - our team spent so much time talking to us, walking us through the menu, going through some of the fun facts (like the cheese wheel!) and even taking some pictures for us at the end of the night. We closed the place down with a 9:30pm reservation on a Friday night. The restaurant was only half full at that time so definitely worth the later meal. I would still recommend making a reservation though. I can't wait to go back when the patio is open, it'll double the space of the restaurant! Loved every dish I ordered, I started with the Whipped Ricotta, had the Scarpinocc as my main course and added a meatball and finished with the Chocolate Hazelnut Tort. The red sauce of the meatball doesn't really go with the Scapinocc's lemon flavor, but it was worth it, the meatball is delicious!!! Overall such a good experience, a little on the expensive side for what you get, but it's definitely worth it for a special occasion or a treat yourself meal!
