Great Mexican Fare
Everyone is so nice at this place. They are friendly and very helpful with the menu. The food is just amazing. They have traditional Mexican food and also have items for those that want something healthy and lean. They make great salads and their mole is so good. What we love are their burritos. They are so great, tender meat and just the right amount of sauce. They have perfect guacamole. They also make their own tortillas. They have wine from Mexico (Baja) and you must try their chicken enchiladas. Hungry--go there.

3p* La Casita Mexicana Bell Great website with photos of all the food; looks fantastic Lovely patio seating; can rent out for special events The traditional mole (negro) was excellent; 46 ingredients Everything else was bland e.g., cochinito, enchiladas, bistec Guacamole was weird; cost over $15!!! The food was overpriced; poor value The homemade tortillas were also strange The live music was VERY LOUD Food service was okay Not impressed

We had a meal here on the afternoon of Thanksgiving. The chiles en nogada lived up to their reputation, as did the enchiladas de mole. The service was great- very attentive and efficient. The back patio is beautiful. It was warm and comfortable.

Came here on a Friday night with friends and sat at the bar. This place serves wine from Baja which was such a treat and set the evening off perfectly. The excue (sp?) reserve wine was perfect and the price for the bottle was under $30. We started with queso com hierbas it comes with fresh handmade tortillas. Delicious !! We ordered the flatuas that had 3 different types of mole, flautas that had this amazing creme and chicken enchiladas . All dishes were perfectly cooked and flavor profile was on point . Our service was lovely . I’d definitely recommend this place in if your in the area or looking for something good and special.

Lovely place? Good food service and value. Chicken Nachos beef tacos, burgers, and fajitas all excellent. Would come back
Be the first to ReplyI didn't even Like Mole before this
And theirs I would sip through flexi straw. La Casita specializes in regional (Jalisco) Mexican, making offerings more complex and flavorful than your casual SoCalMex. Prices reflect that. Still, portions are large and Dishes shareable. If, Like mine, your rent is too damn high, I suggest you skip the alcohol and get creative with ordering for the table. It is so worth it. I'll be back for Mole with IV Bag .
Be the first to ReplyBest "Chile en Nogada" in Los Angeles, and The rest of the menu is great too!
"Chile en Nogada" is a difficult dish to execute well, (just google it to get a sense of it) Casita Mexicana does a brilliant job with it. The chefs are famous (Univision loves them) for a reason, that being their food, they execute their dishes with a lot of attention to details, sadly, most Mexican restaurants don't, they just throw ingredients together, so meals are inconsistent. I have been coming to this restaurant since it started, and I have Chile en Nogada every other time, always great. And whenever I bring someone, and they try it, they are always amazed at how good it is. Now, that dish may not be something that appeals to you, no worries, how about a "Three Mole enchiladas? Or some "Camarones al Mezcal"? or "Mole Verde"? yes, there is a mole verde, besides the "Traditional Mole Poblano". Whatever you choose as the main entree, start with a "Queso Azteca" and if you bring a group with you, order a "Guacamole al Tequila". They have a small selection of Mexican wines, but of course you can bring your own, their corkage fee is only $10. All said, you will have a great Mexican food in a place that is decorated to give you a "Pueblo Magico" vibe, (google that too). My last meal there last Thursday: Queso Azteca (yummy), Sopa de Crema de Arroz (delicious with a few drops of lime juice), Chile en Nogada (Fabulous!), and I brought my own Prosecco. GREAT MEAL. The waiter was very friendly, but we had to point out that we did not have silverware when he served the appetizer. Oh, almost forgot, they had a couple there serenading us by singing traditional romantic Mexican songs, they were good, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Be the first to ReplyLong wait, food good
The wait was terrible. The hostess didn’t seem to understand how to manage the list. We waited forever and visited a bakery and a pupusa place that were happy to have our business. After seeing other parties get seated ahead of us my friend stood there until we got seated. Once seated the food was good. Mole was exceptional. With kids in tow it was hard for them to wait. I hope they figure out a fair way to run the seating list. We had called ahead and were told that they didn’t take reservations, but some people had them.
