Casa Madera West Hollywood Reviews from The Last Year
Celebrated my sister's bday there, we were a group of 10
Celebrated my sister's bday there, we were a group of 10 people. The place is absolutely beautiful especially at night the atmosphere is really great. It took them a few minutes too long to attend to us but once the server did he was very nice and helpful. After we ordered first round of drinks (we ordered only 3 in our order, some people ordered ahead of us) it took them about 15 mins to get to the table (meaning we were sitting at the restaurant for 20 mins staring at the menu while drinking water). Once drinks came thought they were good but i still think overpriced at 20$ a drink. After we placed the food order it came to the table fairly quick but the portions were very small.. like for 2 people to snack maybe.. so we ended up with a bill of around 2800$ for a few rounds of drinks and barely any food for anyone.. The conclusion: It's a gorgeous place and service was 8/10. Drinks tasted great but over priced so 7.8/10, food was just okay tbh 7/10, atmosphere 9/10. Bottom line is i will never go back to a place like this for more than one person at a time, i think it fits more of a third date kinda situation when you both kinda like each other already so you wanna show you like her more than the first one and you think shes worth it. Perfect for an expensive date def not for a big group.
Drove an hour here.
Waited 25 minutes to get seated while having a reservation. Food took a 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. Terrible service. Paid valet for no reason. Wasted 4 hours of my day to try this restaurant. Was not accommodated in any way, would not recommend.

While visiting friends we chose to dine at the West Hollywood location. I cannot praise them enough. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and sat in a luxurious dining room. The pastries we passed in the cases on our way to dine were filled with luscious treats fit for royalty. Our waiter Sam greeted us and was very attentive throughout our meal. The food was delicious and what you would expect from this fine dining establishment. Everyone in my group enjoyed every aspect of this dining experience. I highly recommend that you visit them. I also think the prices were very reasonable for the experience and food. The management should be praised for their professional staff. Even the design of the restaurant made you feel that you are dining in elegance. Well done.
Felt like we were being discriminated.
My husband went in shorts and we were told we would be seated inside. Luckily we had jeans in the car that had already been valeted . My husband changed into jeans in a hallway. We get seated and 5 minutes later 4 men ( 3 different parties ) come in and in shorts and get seated in the patio area. Horrible we felt like outcasted. I'm Mexican and the other men were other races . Never again will I go to a place where I'm going to be discriminated and treated wrong !! When is this going to stop ??
It's perfect for a one-time meal.
The drinks were tasty'! Food was delicious too. However, the ambiance, style, & vibe felt quite similar to many other restaurants that are trying to capture the Tulum, Mexico theme. Service 8/10

Favorite meal was probably the butter cake for dessert, super super good. But admittingly, general ambiance and great service was what brought the rating to a 4. The LA experience is what you're really investing in for the prices you're paying. Overall, fun dinner to try.

Beautiful place! Came in super early and was able to get in without a reservation. Actually they made an exemption and for that we appreciate it. Order appetizers tacos fish and beef. Tasty but I want more tbh Lol ill be back. Went next door to the pool afterward. Awesome day in LA. See you guys soon. Thank you!
Smith and his staff are incredible! The vibes are amazing.
You are teleported out of LA for a bit to a place that feels like you are in Tulum. The food is great and they cater to vegans as well!

The food was absolutely delicious! The presentation was top-notch and the staff were attentive and always available to assist you. Just a friendly tip, make sure to arrive on time and not too famished because even with a reservation, there might be a bit of a wait before you're seated.
Super Clean and Nice
The hotel is very clean (I am very meticulous about cleanliness) and it feels very refreshing walking into the property. Significant thought has gone into all aspects of being environmentally/socially responsible. The valet service is efficient. Breakfast is made to order with good variety on menu. For dinner, there are plenty of options within walking distance. The front desk are exceptionally professional and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. If you book a suite, it is very spacious. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, would return if I was looking for accommodation in the area.
Disappointing from start to finish
We had a really disappointing stay with two other couples. With a hotel of this high caliber and price point, I would expect the service to be exceptional. And it was far below acceptable standards for any hotel class. The hotel itself is visually stunning- from the lobby to the rooms to the outdoor spaces it is beautiful. However, the service has to match the aesthetics. The problem began with dusty lights in the room and the feeling that things were not as clean as they looked. Things really fell apart with our food and beverage experiences. We came back after dinner to spend time in the lobby bar which we were told was closing soon. There was no ice for cocktails although they served the rest of the drink for a hefty price. A hotel of this caliber should send a staff member to go and get ice but there was no offer. They had a cold food menu only. After waiting for our food for 20minutes, we were told they could not make anything except the chicken wrap. Being hungry, we went with it and it was wrapped in parchment paper, soggy and resembled something from an airport kiosk. We complained and they didn’t charge us for it. We regretted not ordering Door Dash. Breakfast was worse. It was also comped by someone we think was the manger after about 1.5 hours of “trying” to have breakfast with our group of 6. We asked for water about 4 times, not enough glasses, coffees took about half an hour. Servers were totally disinterested and lethargic. My coffee cup was leaking all over and the server said that was too bad sometimes they leak. No new cup. Mouldy berries in the fruit salad. Coffee refills took another 15min and 3 asks. Food was way below average. The $14 side of smoked salmon was a single thin piece on a plate. Upon checkout, there was no question as to whether we enjoyed our stay. The entire staff seem unhappy to be there and unhappy to have to even do their jobs - with the exception of the valets who were at least friendly and happy. I filled out the online survey they sent after checkout but there was no follow up. We would not recommend this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. We would be very unlikely to stay with a 1 Hotel property again - the Four Seasons and Viceroy offer the service and aesthetics this price point requires.
My LV leather carryon was damaged by the hotel staff.
I had the worst experience. My brand new LV leather luggage was damaged by the staff. I was devastated when I saw him putting my luggage on the asphalt when loading up our car. The staff should be trained to know that they shouldn’t put the leather luggage on the ground or drag it on the asphalt. I have platinum blond hair but I noticed a black disgusting hair on the shower wall. This proves that the cleaners don’t do deep cleaning before they turn over the room to the new guest.
Luxury stay and pool day
The 1 west hotel is an absolute elevated experience. If you’re looking for luxury, comfort, and relaxation - look no further. The peak of our trip was our day at the pool. Josh was our server and was fantastic. He was attentive, made great drinks, and ensured we were comfortable the entire time. Thank you Josh and the 1 Hotel staff for an exquisite experience.
Elevated and peaceful stay
Beautiful ambience and exceptional decor throughout. We had a wonderful time relaxing at the pool and enjoyed delicious drinks (order the frozen espresso martini!). Big shoutout to Josh, who was super attentive during our pool day. I also received an amazing massage at the Bamford spa onsite by Ryan, highly recommend!
Quick trip to LA
Andrea from the Front Office really made my stay so special, an upgraded room and in-room amenity were the perfect surprise for a birthday. Jack, I believe is the man that drove us in the house car. Excellent conversation and overall great service, he got us to restaurant and also gave some great recommendations to the local area. Also, the server we had first day at 1Kitchen, I wish I remembered her name, but she was very kind and service was exceptional. Luz really was the highlight of our trip, I believe she worked the valet for the restaurant/uber drop off of the hotel. She had the brightest smile and warm welcome that we found to be pretty rare in LA. Overall the service in LA was good. The spa is very small but the massages at Bamford were perfect end to our trip! The room was beautiful and spacious, very minimal but elegant, a water tap in the room would have been a nice touch. We had no idea how to navigate the hotel, and had to explore for ourselves, signage was a bit difficult to find/read. We didn’t know where valet for the hotel was since we took Ubers, so when we reserved the house car with Front Desk we were waiting about 15-20mins in the wrong ramp until we asked, which was a bit inconvenient. On the first morning of our trip, a fire alarm went off around 7am. No notice that it was a false alarm or emergency was given, but it was definitely odd since nothing was advised. Overall, the trip was a nice escape from Miami and the hotel is beautiful with lots to explore in the surrounding areas.
Beautiful Hotel but Unforgivable Service Missteps
Beautiful aesthetics and sustainability initiatives as is typical with the 1 Hotel brand. While the rooms are generously sized, and the outdoor spaces are an oasis, there were several significant missteps during our stay that just should not happen with a hotel of this caliber. When I raised these issues to the front desk at check out, all she said was "I'm sorry to hear that". It's bad enough these things happened, but then to have the hotel barely acknowledge it, let alone try to make it up to us, was the most disappointing part, especially considering that two of the mishaps were major, major health and safety issues. Details below. 1. Wi-fi went out for almost an entire day during our stay. The hotel sent a note saying they were working on it, but to have this happen is just simply unacceptable. Both my partner & I work remote, so it was a major inconvenience. The wi-fi went out again the second morning, but this time only for about 30 minutes. 2. There were several people (one of whom I confirmed was a hotel employee) who must have been shooting influencer content for the hotel during our stay that were incredibly rude and demeaning. They actively disrupted the guest experience and when we politely asked them if we could walk by to get to our room, they told us they were busy and we'd have to walk around the entire other side of the hotel to access the elevators on the East tower. 3. Service generally seemed to move at a snail's pace. We had to call several times to follow up on our laundry. Dishes sat on our table and the tables of other guests far after we were done eating/drinking. Housekeeping did not come until the late afternoon, and when they did finally come, all they did was make the bed. 4. We were having a late lunch at Juniper before checking out and ordered two burgers with GF bread due to our severe allergies, which we informed our server of. When the burgers arrived, they looked suspiciously like they were on a normal bun, so I asked to double check. The waiter said no, these aren't GF. Had I not double checked, both my partner and I would have become seriously ill. Then the replacement burgers proceeded to take more than 20 minutes to remake. The bartender comped the one drink I had with lunch, but that hardly made up for the absolute disregard they had for our health and safety. 5. We placed medication that needed to be refrigerated in the refrigerator that then stopped working and ruined $1k of medicine. We had confirmed prior to entering the room that we needed a working fridge. The hotel brought us another fridge and offered to store the medication in their fridge downstairs, but by then it was really too late. Overall, beautiful hotel and tons of potential, but these missteps and the hotel's lack of effort to even attempt to make things right means we will never return.
Regretted every minute
I came to this hotel as part of a business trip - had a big couple of days at the Milken Conference and *really* needed 1) a good nights sleep for 3 nights and 2) a quiet place to work when I wasn’t at the conference. I got neither. Sure, the hotel is beautifully decorated and the beds are comfortable and the food is great, but my two biggest needs were not met on this trip and I regretted booking this hotel pretty much every moment I was there. They put me in a room close to Harriet’s which, I gather, is a restaurant that likes to blast music at a shocking volume with the bass turned all the way up like it’s 1999 until midnight, The walls of my room were quite literally vibrating. As I was being escorted into my room for the first time at 10:30pm (1:30am my time) after a long flight, the bell person was proudly showing me that there’s a yoga mat in the room, and I asked him why there is thumping club music reverberating through my room at this hour. He breezily dismissed it and said it would *likely* be over by midnight. After he left I got into bed and couldn’t believe what I had signed up for. The pulsating bass was giving me a headache and it didn’t stop until after midnight. I woke up the next morning haggard and frustrated and in terrible shape for my big day. I returned to the hotel at 4pm after Day 1 of the conference to do some work and could not believe the music was back. The pulsating, vibrating, maddening bass making it impossible to do my work. I became so terrorized by it I put in the free earplugs I got on the plane but it didn’t help. Later that night I got into bed, and 6 hours later the thumping club music continued. I was at my wits end. I had two pillows over my head and ear plugs and could not escape it. And had another huge day ahead of me. I called down to reception and almost in tears I explained my experience and begged for another room. They couldn’t help - the hotel was totally booked out. But I was assured the following night, my final night, they would move me. They instructed me to pack my bags before going out for the day and that I would be in a new room by the time I returned. This was encouraging. I came back to the hotel at 4pm run ragged and ready for a shower and a change of clothes only to find there was no record of my conversation with the person who promised to move me and nothing had been done. My stuff was still in the nightclub-adjacent torture cell. I pleaded with yet another person to please move me, I can’t do this another night. She said oh of course, here’s a key to an upgraded room, go rest. I said praise the Lord I’m going to get a nights sleep, I’m so excited. She said she would send my luggage to the new room. It was actually no surprise to me when I went up to this new room and the key didn’t work. Of course it didn’t work. I went back down and explained and was given a new key, no apology. Now I’m in my new room - gorgeous. I’m so excited. Everything’s about to turn around for me now. Until my luggage doesn’t arrive….for four hours. I call to check where it is and the person at the front desk doesn’t know. An hour later a sheepish bell person shows up with my luggage and a “lost item” waiver for me to sign. Apparently they had completely misplaced/lost my stuff and then found it. I was starting to get extremely annoyed with this hotel. The problems continued and continued. I won’t list them all. It shows you that you can have a great location, gorgeous decor and furnishings, wonderful food, and somehow still deliver a terrible experience. Never again.
Good and bad.
I wanted to love this hotel but there were a few things lacking. First, the good: It has a beautiful California Chic look , very hip vibe. The lobby bar is always somewhat happening and location on Sunset is great. Outdoor spaces are beautifully decorated. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice albeit dark. The bad: I was sort of greeted on arrival and directed to the elevator to take me down to the check in area, I felt a hotel of this calibre should have someone at the door all the time and an escort to check in or at least an offer of taking your bags. The hallways are dark and room numbers are not the easiest to read. This hotel is big on sustainability so room maintenance is done every other day. I thought since they were all about sustainability they would have water fountains around the hotel to fill water bottles, they did not. There are no drawers in the room, and the nightstand was at a strange angle so everything slid off. Also, the nightstand was metal so my MagSafe charger was stuck to it. This was not a terrible hotel by any means, I just feel there are service issues. This is a Virtuoso property so I feel they need to take a big step up in service. I would consider returning as it was a good location and definitely not a terrible place to stay.
Not what we had hoped for...
We went to LA for one night for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and decided to splurge on this hotel. We booked through rewards on our credit card. When we got there, the hotel charged us for the room. I explained that we had booked using rewards and they said it would all work out. That night we get back to the hotel around midnight and there is construction outside. Jackhammering started at 1:30 and went until about 4:00am. Then all night long anytime anyone enters or leaves their room, the door slams and the room shook. Not what I expected from this caliber hotel. Check before you go if there is construction and ask for a room on the other side. Then at check out I asked for a copy of the bill so I could have it in case there were issues with the credit card. They could not provide one! I got one bill that didn't match anything- for valet and breakfast but the amount was completely wrong. They said I would get one emailed. Never did. I had to follow up with my credit card when I got back who called and said you are correct you should not have been charged- they called the hotel and were told we would be refunded the cost of the room but their were additional charges that would need to be paid. Said they would send a copy. of that. Two days later still waiting on a copy of the bill and refund on my credit card.. Not exactly the stress free stay we were hoping for. On the positive side- the use of the house car to take us to the concert was a very nice feature.
After living in LA for 25 years, I've never had a
After living in LA for 25 years, I've never had a restaurant host speak to me in such an unprofessional manner and I've never even considered opening a Yelp account until my unfortunate experience. A couple of days ago I visited for the first time and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated and when I asked why others that came after me were being seated earlier, I was told that it's because they weren't being seated in the main area. When I finally got directed to my seat, I saw that same group sitting in the main area, meaning I was lied to. The host was a dark-skinned young woman and she was acting like she owned the restaurant for some reason. I'm curious if they ask their hosts to be rude or if that's just how she was. I felt belittled and disrespected. Her behavior upon my arrival already set a bad vibe for the night, but the reason I gave another star is due to the excellent service I received once I was seated. Our waiter was super kind and professional. The reason I am writing this review is so the managers of this restaurant acknowledge that this is not acceptable behavior at a 5 star restaurant.

Hands down, phenomenal! 10 out of 10, all thanks to the general manager, Smith Dok. He made our night one to remember. His flawless attention to detail and unwavering demand for customer satisfaction truly left us speechless. While celebrating our wedding anniversary my personal goal was to offer my wife an exceptional night of great food, vibes and entertainment. Smith graciously surpassed all expectations. Once I shared my ambitions with Mr. Dok, he took the reins and showed us both a beyond stellar experience. Every detail, every request. With him nothing was too much. We felt both at home and VIP at the same time. Our celebration was not only a success, but a night to remember. My only regret is it's gonna be so very hard to top this experience with another establishment. I suppose we are team "Casa Madera" from here on out. Cheers to Mr. Smith Dok. I consider you a great friend now for all you have done for us and we will definitely will continue to offer our gratitude each time we have the please to experience your exemplary leadership and care. Sincerely, KV
Parking can get tricky but there is always valet.
Reservations are recommended for this trendy beautiful restaurant. Pricing is a bit more steep and the food was solid but not memorable. You are more so coming for the scene. Staff is present.

Here is a possible review based on your text: I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is decent, and the ambiance is pleasant. However, the service is absolutely atrocious! The last time I visited, we were made to wait for 50 minutes, and the staff seemed completely clueless about whether our table was ready or not. They led us to a table three times, only to realize it wasn't ready each time! It was a frustrating experience, especially since there were five of us ladies waiting. Unfortunately, the terrible service overshadowed the good food and vibes, and I'm not sure I'll be back.
You can stop scrolling, this is the 1!
This property is beautiful, I’ve stayed at 3 different 1 hotel properties and this location did not disappoint from the brand’s beautiful, nature-inspired aesthetic. The signature scent delights and refreshes your senses, while the warm and soft lighting creates a cozy vibe. Sadly, the floor in my room was a bit dirty and the noise from the room next door made it challenging to sleep on our first night, the hotel staff made up for these inconveniences with their phenomenal customer service. Will, the Bellman who helped us with our bags and Jack, the warm and knowledgeable house driver, were especially exceptional. Wonderful customer service from those two staff members helped us trip end on a high note. I would definitely stay here again.

Awful service!!!! The servers don't know anything about wines. Even though we had a reservation we were seated 45 minutes late. While we were trying to enjoy our meal another server came and told us we had to leave the table because they were waiting for another reservation and they hadn't even brought the main courses we ordered! Then they said it was ok and we could seat at our table. Our reservation was at 8 pm and at 10:20 pm we still haven't eaten!!!!!!! The food is ok, but not worth it at all and I would never ever recommend this place to anyone!!!
The drinks were creatively crafted.
My drink came with a lavender stem attached to a palo santo stick. It suited me perfectly. My friend treated me to a birthday dinner and we ordered a few different plates to share. HIGHLY recommend.
Food was actually really good.
Our server was really nice. The aesthetic of the restaurant is to die for and the view out of the windows is beautiful.

Ambiance was stunning, we did have a reservation however we still waited about 30 minutes before we were seated at our table. Service was 8 out of 10 being service took much longer than expected to be greeted by our server and we had to wait so long for drinks on multiple occasions and the. Food 9 out of 10, the Ribeye was full of flavor and cooked perfectly, the salmon was amazing and presentation gorgeous the chicken was good but nothing special. For dessert we had the butter cake which melted in our mouths 10 out of 10! Overall we had a pleasant experience.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The lively ambiance immediately set the tone for a fantastic evening. Let's talk about the food--specifically the mushroom tacos. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, nestled in warm tortillas and topped with a delicious array of toppings. Each bite was a burst of savory flavors leaving me wanting more. The chopped salad was another standout dish. Fresh, crisp, and bursting with vibrant flavors, it was the perfect accompaniment to the tacos. The combination of fresh vegetables, zesty dressing, and crunchy toppings made for a refreshing and satisfying salad. Aside from the fantastic food, the atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and inviting. The decor was colorful and eye-catching, adding to the overall fun vibe of the place. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant with a great vibe and even better food, look no further. I highly recommend making a reservation as this restaurant does get very full.
Casa Madera's great! Casa Madera is located in West
Casa Madera's great! Casa Madera is located in West Hollywood inside of the Mondrian Hotel. Personally, I would recommend giving valet to the hotel staff because it's easier parking. Now inside of the hotel is Casa Madera. The food there was great! They had a wide selection from Coastal Mexican cuisine and also Mediterranean food. We ordered the Mayan hummus which was so thick and creamy and it also came with some thin pita bread which was so nice and delicious. Then, we ordered the fattoush (a Mediterranean style salad.) It had so many vegetable toppings which made it super healthy and so crunchy and refreshing. For our main meal, we ordered the Madera Burger which was so crispy and was so tasty and well seasoned, the Madera burger also came with Parmesan truffle fries which were SUPER good! I love fries so this was great and the truffle was just perfect. Next, we ordered the Arrachera Tacos which were not bad. One thing I didn't really like was how the bread was really thin and didn't have much flavor but the meat was so nice and well done and the toppings made it taste super good. Lastly, we ordered the Truffle Risotto and I wasn't a huge fan. It was super creamy and thick like pasta except it was rice but it was still okay. But the creaminess made up for it and the toppings on it as well. For the drinks, the Solstice was amazing and it was so cool because they added fire on it and it tasted super good. But, it is an alcoholic beverage. The service here was great because all the workers were respectful and considering we came on a Saturday night it was super busy but all the workers tried their best to make sure that they were attentive even though there were many people. Lastly the ambiance which is what made this place great! They have neutral colors with many cool decorations and made it look so nice, modern, and pretty. Overall, I would say it was a great experience and I would go again!
Peaceful in the heart of LA
Very peaceful and staff was exceptionally kind especially Will. He greeted me as I was departing and helped me with my bags and my Uber pickup spot. We had a great conversation. The first environment is beautiful including the spa like smells at every corner. Felt very private.
1 hotel is the One.
1 hotel is easily the number 1 place to stay while visiting LA. Rooms and amenities are great, and the staff is even better. With both, I call that a great experience. Our friendly driver for the house car “Jack” was great help and made the trip even better.
Great experience
Hotel room is great! The house care service is amazing, we had Jack as our driver and he was wonderful. Overall great experience and would recommend. The cars provided for the house car are comfortable and roomy. The experience as a guest is worth the price of the hotel.
Enjoyable stay, has the potential to be a great 5*
The 1 Hotel West Hollywood is in a fantastic location, not far from all the main attractions, yet far enough that you’re in a safe sanctuary. I LOVED the Hotel Vibe, spent most relaxing by the Juniper Bar either working or catching up. The bed is the most comfiest bed I have ever slept on, much comfier than my own!! I’m not sure what mattress topper or type it is but I’d love to know! I was also lucky enough to make use of the pool which was heated, and you can look out to the lovely views. I gave it 4/5; it’s on the lower end as I felt there was a lack of attention to detail and overall service was par. At checkin, I was asked whether I was at the hotel for personal or business, and imd mentioned business but my room had no desk or suitable table to work from. Housekeeping forgot some basic things on a few occasions like adding the cushion to the bed (it was left on the floor or sofa), missing toilet roll (I had to call for it), not fluffing sofa pillows etc etc. At the bar, I felt others’ received better service than I - offering of drinks, and generally more attention etc. The team at reception were also not as welcoming as one would expect… I had a pleasant stay and would return back - the hotel has the potential to be a great 5* but needs to address the little things, attention to detail counts!
Juniper Lounge x Bartender Phoebe
This review is for the Juniper Lounge. I went on Sat 2/17 with a friend for a girls night to catch up. We ordered a round of spicy margaritas and found a seat. The drinks were great. My friend went to the bar to order us a 2nd round and she was helped by a male bartender. When she brought the drinks back, they looked different than our first round (more of a pink/orange color than the previous round). When I tasted it, I thought it had a smoky flavor and was maybe made with mezcal rather than tequila. My friend tried hers and agreed. She brought the drinks back to the bartender to tell him we didn’t like them, and he insisted he’d made them correctly. My friend came back and told me, and I was quite surprised he didn’t offer to remake the drinks. I looked over to the bar in disbelief, and happened to lock eyes with another bartender (later found out her name is Phoebe) who gestured to me that she was going to remake our drinks. I guess she’d heard the interaction with the other bartender and took it upon herself to rectify the situation. This was such an incredibly sweet/thoughtful gesture and completely saved the experience that night. I work in hospitality, so I appreciate her being proactive and customer service minded, even in a situation she wasn’t directly responsible for. She went above and beyond. Thanks, Phoebe!
perfect hotel except for one
Hotel that makes the memory perfect in Los Angeles. The surroundings of the interior were all satisfying. only The female employee (shoulder-length straight hair) who checked out around 6 a.m. on Feb. 12 is an exception. She had a completely unfit attitude with this hotel (though you probably wouldn't feel it if you weren't Asian) I'm thinking of visiting this hotel anytime, but if you have this staff, never! It's enough to make the pleasant experience there the worst.
Don’t even consider it
Awful. Overpriced. A 3-4 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star. Rooms are dark. Service pathetic. $70 to valet is some kind of sick joke. Two pathetic towels. We had a suite which basically had a slither of a window. No Bluetooth speaker in the room. Nowhere to put clothes apart from hanging space Zero sleep as you are basically on a very street on sunset. No turn down service. Whole place feels ‘earthy’ when you walk in, you quickly discover it’s just bare. We were supposed to stay two nights, already looking to check out and find somewhere else. Total rip off, don’t see how anyone can walk away from here relaxed or satisfied.

I loved the smell at the One Hotel, and the stay, it was truly amazing! I loved the convenient House car and Bell man services! Andre from Valet was super friendly and helpful, he even helped me find my uber! Definitely recommend staying here!
The best hotel brand to stay at
1 Hotel has out done themselves again. This emaculate west hollywood location is stunning. From the front entrance to the lobby area it is a serene place to visit and take you away from the daily grind of life. With their design to incorporate nature into their infrastructure to the teams friendliness and willing to help. Always making sure to go above and beyond with providing quality service. Where do I start? Front Desk Team I want to thank the following I had a daily encounter with. Theo, Will , Andrea and Rebecca. They would always go above and beyond to see if I ever needed anything, where to eat or what activities to do. Their smiles were contagious always saying hello to everyone walking by and their kind voices while conversing. There are other front desk team members but I don't remember all their names. The team is great overall. 1 Kitchen Team This team is phenomenal from the time you are seated or ordering to go. They greet you with full on joy. Always making suggestions if you are stuck on what delicious food you want to order to coming up with some cool coffee or tea ideas. I want to thank the front team first, this includes Jesse and Brianna. Then Izzy, Eric, Gilbert, Behzad these guys were superb always joyful at the front smiling happy to be there and talk to their guests. You felt like you were a family catching up on old times. Then to the other 1 Kitchen Team that would take care of me while I dined there. Tasha, Philip, Justin and Joseph. Amazing team who would guide you on a journey of food. So many delicious options. They would always be kind and make sure what you ordered you got the right way. If you needed a top up on your water coffee or other drinks they would make sure you were taken care of. Compliments to Chef Ginger and her amazing team in the kitchen the food was epic!!! Keep using sustainable sources and keep up the amazing cuisine you serve. Hands down I loved all the food they have on the menu. To the 1 hotel security team. These guys are amazing. Always walking around making sure that everyone was safe at all times. Javier, Mark, David and I believe the other gentleman's name was Dwayne (sorry if I mispelled this). The 1 hotel room attendant team. Always on top of their game. When you needed some extra towels or pillows they brought it immediately to you. This team did such an amazing job day in and day out. Greeting you, saying good morning always smiling and making sure you were happy with the cleanliness of your room. Overall I can not express enough how the 1 Hotel lives up to its name. It truly is the #1 in my books. Thank you for a wonderful time. I look forward to my next visit.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
