great Food and wine, the staff was cordial and did everything to make our first experience a very pleasant one. The ambiance in main dining room made everything perfect. Will become a staple in our list of restaurants.
I don't understand some of the negative reviews.
Our experience has always been amazing. No issues making reservations. Service amazing. Food incredible. While it's true they their prices are on the high end. The old adage applies. There is a fair value exchange for the money spent. My only comment is that parking should be free for patrons. We will continue to frequent this restaurant.
The food was fantastic.
The food was perfectly cooked, seasoned and arrived to the table hot. The waiter was great. He was friendly and knowledgeable with all the food preparation. The tiramisu was light and fluffy. Can't wait to go back again.

Casa L'Acqua is a romantic spot, being in a revamped older home, and has a nice atmosphere inside. The patio seems like a nice spot to have dinner as well, if you choose. At the busiest times, it can get quite loud. I was solo this evening and I asked for a seat at the bar. There was only one seat remaining in front of a post in the middle of the bar. Not the best place to sit, but they were nice enough to offer to move me over when the seat next to me opened. Food-wise, it was average. To start, I had the octopus carpaccio and it was good; I realize that octopus is not everyone's cup-of-tea. I tried the fettuccine bolognese which was bland and I had to wait a while for the freshly ground parmesan cheese. I'm a fan of a good bolognese with the traditional ground meat and tomato red sauce. I've had better bolognese at other establishments, such as at Olio's nearby. There are many Italian restaurants to chose from in the area - this was my third time visiting Casa L'Acqua as I am local to Delray.
Service is always good and the ambiance is quaint.
Last time I was there the food was not as good as times have gone before. Before I would have said excellent. Now it was just above average.

Booked an INSIDE reservation for 4 people 2-3 weeks ago for last Friday night at 7:15pm. We arrived a little early and noticed that the valet was swamped with cars and panicking. I gave him my car to carefully park and asked him what was up ? He said that "they had over 200 reservations between 7-9pm"... and I proceeded to check-in with the triumvirate of Hostesses outside who said it would be at least 15 minutes more as they were already running behind. Ok, so we couldn't chill at the bar because every seat was already taken and there was not an inch of standing room which would have been nice given the outside temp was 92*. So we wait and we wait. At 7:30pm we asked the hostess what was happening with our 7:15pm table... she says (like a parrot) it will be another 15 minutes. So we continue waiting and we sweat as its still 92*. Then along comes a manager in a Garish Blazer who now tells us he can seat us on the Patio in 15 minutes as 1 table is leaving. We ask what happened to our inside reservation ? He said those can't be guaranteed and are given to reservations with earlier dates than just 2 weeks. WTF ? Really ? It Ninety Two F***king degrees outside and that patio is super tight... that's why we made an INSIDE Reservation. So, we wait and we wait. But at 7:50pm we can't take their inconsiderate attitude anymore and leave. FORGETABOUTIT !!! is what I would tell interested diners about trying to eat at L'Acqua. It is obviously home to a greedy restaurateur trying to pack in as many covers as he can before the end of season so he can hope to survive the grueling hot summer season when business drops by over 50%. This is no way to treat the locals and I won't accept this and urge others to vote with your feet and patronize those Local places that put a premium on Fine Dining, Good Service and a wonderful experience which at these prices is not only expected but deserved. There are many Good Italian Food choices in the Delray / Boca Raton marketplace.... which we will gratefully explore. It's possible after mine & others recent poor experiences that this restaurant may go the way of every other restaurant located in this small house before them...

The service was impeccable and while the specials are $$$$ , the food was amazing. The salad was seasoned perfectly, the clams casino were probably the best we have had in South Florida. The special Shrimp dinner was excellent. It was truly a great meal.

you call make a reservation and when it's a day before they say they say they don have you. This happened twice. We will never go there

He was rude and dismissive. We waited half an hour to be asked for our drinks order. Menus came 10 minutes later. Waitress was great but she was overwhelmed; she was covering too many tables. The appetizers did not come out together. One soup was brought 5 minutes after all the other appetizers. The entrees came out in shifts as well. My wife ordered the salmon medium well. It was served close to raw. It took 15 or 20 minutes for them to bring it back properly cooked. By that time my wife had filled herself up eating bread and sharing my snapper. One of the mangers came over and apologized and told us that there would be no charge for the salmon. When the bill came, the salmon was on it. The waitress said that the other manager had overruled the manager who offered to remove the salmon from the bill and there was nothing she could do about it. On the way out I spoke to the manager who had instructed that we be charged for the salmon that came 20 minutes after everyone else's food. To repeat, he was rude and dismissive. He said that food is expensive and that since my wife ate it, we have to pay for it. I said we didn't ask for or expect free food but that when an order is fouled up and one manager offers to comp the fouled up meal, it is disrespectful for another manager to overrule him. YOU SIMPLY DO NOT RENEGE ON AN OFFER MADE BY A MANGER!!!. The result - 6 people who will never go back.
Possibly the most disingenuous people in the business.
Called multiple times requesting bar seats after making a table reservation only to be told "we don't reserve bar seats". We show up and there are two bar seats set with a reserved sign. So guess what, they do, but only for certain people apparently and then they blatantly lie to other customers. When called on it the manager said we don't reserve seats. When asked what that said as I pointed to the reserved sign on the bar she stuttered and said we don't reserve bar seats. I would stay away from this place. No one who segregates clients into haves and have nots while lying about it should be in business.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing! The best food I have had in a while paired with a great atmosphere and phenomenal service. We ordered the lobster ravioli, bolognese pasta, and the parmesan risotto. All of these were absolutely delicious and piping hot fresh from the kitchen. I am gluten free, and they provided gluten free pasta on request. My favorite part was the service. My server was Jordana and she was absolutely amazing! She was very kind and a hard worker, as she was helping many other tables along with ours. She was also very helpful and put extra food we wanted to take home in a box for us. The only thing I would say is to bring a sweater, it can get a little chilly. Overall, if I could, I would rate this place a 6/5! Everything was perfect and I enjoyed my experience thoroughly. I will definitely come back again!
My husband and I recently dined at Casa L'Acqua.
3/20/24 The restaurant is beautifully decorated with white tablecloth tables, nice lighting, and various dining room options . We decided to eat at the bar (We are bar people when it's just the two of us!) The bartender, Bianca, was wonderful! She crafted our cocktails beautifully and her wine suggestions were spot on. Our food was so delicious from the complimentary bruschetta to our entrees. We enjoyed the clams oreganata to start. The clams were done perfectly with a delicious broth. Our entrees were the veal marsala and veal piccata. Both done exquisitely with just the right amount of sauce and the veal tender. We had a side of grilled asparagus. Again perfectly grilled, tender but not mushy. Our dining experience was wonderful and we will definitely be going back when we are in Delray Beach next.

Was hyped up and didn't live up. Food was mediocre and prices were too high. Service was good. Ambience ahhh. Not returning. Tramonti's, Novello, and Lynoras, much better Italian in the area.

I went to celebrate a very good friend's wedding anniversary. We got seated outside on the garden and it was very beautiful decorated. They started us with honey and cheese as we waited for our drinks they also brought bruschetta on toast very tasty. As appetizers we had clams on the half shell and two different soups, the plates were all cleaned out delicious. For dinner I have delicious prawns they had it as special of the day. The other dishes were shrimps piccata and fettuccine bolognese. For dessert they made a special plate of their deserts. We had the most tentative and friendly waiter(Igor). Have to go back to try other dishes.

This place is a 5 star restaurant. Food is outstanding--really good both times I've been there. Service is outstanding and the vibe is excellent. It is a bit pricey but well worth it for great food but...my wife ordered that Halibut special with Spinach and when the bill came it was $65!! Some of the dishes were a bit pricey and some were quite reasonable, and again the food is outstanding. If you go, as how much the special dishes are...

Overrated Average Food and Service
First time at CASA L'ACQUA Ristorante due to a friend's recommendation. First, we had a reservation and were made to wait an extra 30 minutes for our table. Seated outside in the patio where we were given a wobbly table next to the server's station. The whole night was hearing plate noises and the servers making inappropriate comments about the guests in Spanish. Our waiter was rude and condescending. He became even more obnoxious after we decided not to buy any of their extremely high marked up overpriced bottles of wine. The food was overpriced average Italian food. My seafood with pasta was horrible. Fish and pasta was overcooked with the sauce dry and sticky. I would have had a better and cheaper experience at Franks Pepe.

We both had soup which was delicious . I had Sicilian prawns and my wife had the chicken Milanese. Both main dishes were expertly prepared. The wait staff was very professional. Every server's uniform was immaculate and the seating was allowed ease of conversation.

Our waiter was great, and explained all of the specials, BUT... apparently the manager of the restaurant has 0 understanding of the American Disabilities Act! In our group was someone who is legally blind who carries with him a cane and light to assist him. Within minutes of receiving menus we were asked to remove the light from the table. Under the ADA, our family members right to read the menu on his own was violated the moment he was told to remove the light. I will NEVER return to this restaurant again. The manager was rude and making up ridiculous excuses why the light needed to be removed. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants on and around Atlantic Avenue. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been too.
Food,service,and ambiance are excellent. Good selection of wines and cocktails. The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked,with a crust of breadcrumbs and Dijon mustard a very large portion. Filet mignon Florentine with a brandy sauce and mushrooms was delicious. Best tiramisu ever! Our server,Pablo was very attentive and professional. A nice break,away from busy and noisy Atlantic Ave. Recommend it highly.

New Year's Eve dinner-prix fixe at $225pp plus tax and then 20% gratuity added on the post tax total. And we would've been more than happy to pay that had it been good. However, this dinner was an ABOMINATION from start to finish. They had some kind of "computer issue" and we waited 20 minutes standing outside while they sorted it out. Our table (#1) was accidentally hit by bus boys and cheese/pepper servers as they tried to make their way to the large table crammed behind our table. Starter and pasta courses were okay (but came out COLD) , and our entrees were meh with the beef filets oddly devoid of flavor. We spoke to both Scott (server) & Caesar (mgr) at that point to let them know the evening was not going as we'd expected. And then to cap it off they inadvertently gave us somebody else's check and put that incorrect amount on our American Express card. My husband noticed that those weren't the things we ordered and asked the waiter to please give us the correct bill. When they provided the correct bill ( after we waited 15 mins for them to provide it) they told us that they couldn't void the other persons' meals that we had paid for, but that it would come off our American Express within 3-5 days! Totally unacceptable that we left the restaurant with nearly $3000 in charges on our credit cards for what should've been a $1500 bill. Why couldn't they just have charged us the additional amount we owed, which was only about $200 more? Caesar offered a glass of wine as we were headed out-but it was too little too late. Man, learn how to run a restaurant. So unprofessional. We were so embarrassed in front of the other couple we brought with us. I asked for an owner to contact me but so far-crickets. Never again.

Amazing this is the best Italian food I have ever eaten the restaurant was full food 7 stars the highest rating I could give ,the mushroom ravioli share a starter there was 6 of us so we shared langoustine two types of pasta main course I had veal chop it’s was fantastic you must book sea bass was cooked to perfection they only use best ingredients so you do pay top price worth every $
Horrible Wait Staff Experience
We have dined at Casa L'Acqua many times. This recent experience was on Thursday, October 19, 2023. We were seated in the back garden. Let me begin with our meal which was excellent. Two of us ordered the Branzino which was delightful. The other two ordered the Lamb, again fabulous. Now the reason for my 2 star review is because the wait staff was so incredibly bad that it literally ruined our experience. Our waitress (a hispanic women and I don't remember her name) was so incredibly rude and unprofessional. She did not smile once! At the beginning of our meal she flipped my still not empty glass of wine when she was taking it away (again not empty) and it spilled all over my leg. Her response to this was an angry look at me and she tossed me a napkin and did not even apologize. The entire evening she was interrupting our conversation and she was trying to hurry us through the evening. When her colleague delivered our food, he roughly tossed it on the table and again no smile or hospitality what's so ever. When we left both our waitress and her colleague gave us an incredibly mean look. We dine out in Delray/Boca at least 3 nights per week and we have NEVER received such horrible, unprofessional and unkind service. I will add that the bartender and the Manager of the restaurant were both lovely people. I hope this review helps to make some staffing changes because the food really is good but there is no way we will be back to receive that level (or lack) of service.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
