I'm here on a Monday night 06/03.
I watched as 2 girls rushed to close down the restaurant starting at 8pm. when someone came in at 8:30 they said they weren't serving food only drinks. when I asked for a drink at 8:40 they said they stopping serving alcohol at 8. this is just unacceptable. our servers name was Christina.

Great service, great food that comes out quick, yummy drinks and outside is always pleasant all year round.
Be the first to ReplyFood is amazing, service is even better.
They comped my whole meal because I had to wait 20 extra minutes for a to go order which was going above and beyond and made me happy. The atmosphere is great and the restaurant is roomy.

Don't be fooled by the almost 4 star reviews, I've had better Mexican food at Taco Bell... that margarita and the salsa was great but the burrito was bland and covered in some sort of tomato heavy canned sauce and the nachos were beyond tasteless, didn't finish any of it no matter how polite I was trying to be, then I was forgotten about for 15-20 minutes trying to pay after asking several people and had to go up to the bar to pay, won't be back
Be the first to ReplyWe visited yesterday and were underwhelmed by the food.
I ordered a deluxe burrito with shredded beef and requested it be grilled. I received a deep fried burrito and while eating it, I chomped down on bone. I pulled out a chunk that was about an inch long and 1/2" wide. I left it on my plate and brought home the remaining half as leftovers. This morning, I decided to eat the burrito for breakfast and 1st bite, I bit down on more bone. This one is 2.5 times the size of the one from yesterday. How do bones this large get missed?! Regardless of the massive bones, the food was flavorless. We will not be visiting again.

The atmosphere is nice but the food is bland and overall disappointing. Chips were fresh and crunchy but wasn't a fan of the salsa, no better than store bought from a jar. The worst part was the overpowering smell of Fabulosa. I love the stuff and use it myself but you guys need to dilute it more....its not what you want to smell while you're eating. Service was quick and friendly. I may try them again in the summer to have a Marg on the patio but I'll stick with Mazatlan in the King City plaza for gringo Mexican comfort food.
Be the first to ReplyLook at this monster of a burrito.
.. Went with my coworkers as my office is right across the street. The burrito was so huge, my colleagues commented that the burrito would eat me... I devoured it though. I would say Casa Colima is a good spot if you're looking for a huge platter size and want some solid mexican food. My only complaint is I wish that scoop of guacamole on top was bigger. I also thought it was a tad bit salty but that's just my preference. Service was normal/average, and the restaurant decor/vibe was pretty standard as well.
Be the first to ReplyReally good Mexican food.
Great service and fabulous margaritas! Hubby loves burritos and I love enchiladas. Rice & refried beans are always yummy! Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!!
Be the first to ReplyThe best Mexican food I've had in a long time.
Service is excellent. Loved the whole experience.
Be the first to ReplyIt's good for the gringos.
Los chilaquiles verdes fue lo peor representante de todo mexicano. Me comí los frijoles y huevos que viera echo en casa.

Unfortunately, my family and I will not be dining at Casa Colima in the future. We recently went there to celebrate my son's second birthday. We had a party of eight: my son, his sister, me and his mother, and both sets of grandparentsThe staff refused to make a simple reconfiguration to allow my family to sit together at the same table. We first requested that we push a four-top up next to our six-top. Their response was, "No, it might not look like it now, but we will be very busy later and will need all available seating." Ok, well, can we just grab one extra chair and add it to our six-top? (That would have solved the problem as the two-year-old was in a high chair.) Again, no. "We don't have any extra chairs. It might seem silly now, but we'll need all our chairs later."Well, they never got busy (the outdoor dining area we were in was nearly empty, only two other parties in addition to ours during our entire dinner.) We could have very easily combined tables or used an extra chair without any adverse impact. Instead, my family had to split up and sit separately, for no reason. We considered going elsewhere, but with the inflexibility that comes with having a six-year-old and a two-year-old and a limited amount of time before we needed to get them home, we decided to stay put.I was extremely disappointed and frustrated by this abysmal level of customer service. Also, the food was mediocre. I'd encourage anyone with a hankering for some decent Mexican food to look elsewhere (especially if you have a party larger than six ?!) This was certainly our last visit to Casa Colima.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Food and service always.
..love Chili Relleno...yummy...I recommend this place to eat. Great Ambiance
Be the first to ReplyGreat service.
Cute atmosphere and amazing food. Portions are huge my hungry 9 year old and I shared a taco plate. We both left way too full of really good food and were treated well.
Be the first to ReplyPretty legit spot we finally stopped at.
Ambience of a freeway in front always turned me off a little but it was worth it. Tired of mazatlan so we tried something new. Shredded beef burrito is delicious. They have a great chili relleno. Salsa and chips on point. Definitely be back.

Casa Colima has at least a couple of locations in the Portland area, this one is my favorite. They have a great, pretty predictable menu, and the food is always prepared consistently and arrives hot. What makes it special for me is the staff, who are always very friendly and helpful. They have recently added some additional seating as well, probably to allow for more space between customer groups. Their mole is pretty yummy, and I like their beans and rice as well. Silly, but some places just don't get those two staples down. It's a little tricky to get in to the parking lot if you're heading North (?, away from Sherwood) as you have to turn around and head back due to a small divider in the road. They have a full bar, and another staple, the chips, are always fresh and far too addicting, and the selection of fresh made salsas allow for something for everyone.
Be the first to ReplyFood is great as usual.
Our waiter however, seemed preoccupied. I asked for a Dos Equis and received it when my meal was almost over. Don't know what kept his attention but it was t us. And, I don't particularly like flies buzzing around my head (we were inside) while eating.

Delicious! You can experience each items flavor individually and mixed together in a large number of combinations of the Molcajete Mexicano. Beef, chicken, shrimp and chorizo alone with three different peppers, onions and other things. Look at the photo and there is enough food for two or three people can shat. But I was alone that day and happily took home what I could eat there. The place is small and very intimate. With seating inside and out. Booth, tables, high tops and bar seats provided different choices for seating. Music was good and comfortable. The staff are all very interested in providing a great experience. I was able to talk with three staff members as they were checking in with me and how I was enjoying the wonderful food. I've been here a few times with my kayaking group. We all had a great time and great food and drinks.

AMAZING! Friendly staff, large portions, excellent prices, beautiful ambiance. Come try it out :)
Be the first to ReplyThe photos of the menu items look much better than the food
The photos of the menu items look much better than the food actually tastes. The green sauce over my wet veggie burrito was odd. It had a strange tangy taste that was not spicy or flavorful. It was nothing like any tomatillo salsa I have ever tasted before. Someone at the table ordered enchiladas but their red sauce was on the sweet side. The salsa was bland and the chips were just average. Someone else at our table ordered the fish tacos and they were extremely fishy tasting. I definitely won't go back.
Be the first to ReplyCute restaurant with good food and very attentive service.
They are located off the 99w, and they turned out to be perfect before heading to the coast, since we were famished . Definitely, would return even I wasn't passing by on my way to the coast. The space inside and outside is very colorful and decorative and gives you the feeling of being in Mexico. My husband enjoyed a generous carne asada taco plate, and I had the huevos rancheros plate - which are served with hardy portions of rice and beans, too. Give them a try if you find yourself hungry and in this part of town.
