Best execution of a theme bar/restaurant we have ever
Best execution of a theme bar/restaurant we have ever experienced, and we have sought out many. We opted for the Underground. The integration of period-era decor, posters, adverts, history, wartime/swing music, outstanding creative cocktails and nibbles, wording on the menus and marketing, signage, cozy vintage furniture and vibes, triple bar theme choice, low light, ambiance, speakeasy nooks and crannies....all outstanding attention to detail to such a deep level, it blew our minds. All theme bars in future will have a tough time living up to this. Had this on our list for a while, and so thrilled it surpassed every expectation. We will rave to anyone who will listen. We appreciate the thoroughness in creating a full and immersive experience that merges past, present, and innovative future. Cheers!

It's a Great themed bar with drinks that transport you to the 1940s throughout both its rather interesting sections. One of them being in a separate building, just outside of the main front Ticket Hall. We had walked from Liberty London after exploring Soho, Chinatown, and Carnaby Street and wanted to rest our weary feet. Luckily, we had made it just in time to at their 5pm opening of their underground bar, located downstairs in another building just outside of the ticket hall (right at one of the Kingly Court exits). We were told to wait and were offered water while we waited inside from the rain. We were soon deceding downstairs a subway station that becomes a dark, warm, homey feeling bar. The menu is a newspaper as everyone is dressed in the attire or inspired attire of the 1940s. It was quiet when we came and bustling when we left. The drinks were on the more expensive side, but I can understand in a place like this. They also have a few drinks that are non-alcoholic, but the menu is rather small on that front. My drink was served in a chipped cup of who I'm guessing is the person the drink is modeled after: Vera Lynn. It was easy and sweet, and I would've enjoyed another cocktail or come back for one of thier events (escape room, trivia night) if it weren't for our tight schedule. We were never rushed, had delicious drinks, with a great theme, and fun ambiance. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! I was even allowed to take the newspaper menu and bought one of their fun pins from their merchandise line (it looks like a little ticket!). I'll be here again if I find myself in London, thanks for the fun, Cahoots!

Must try: "Enemy of the State" - wasabi-watermelon tequila cocktail TLDR; An absolute must for interesting cocktail lovers The drinks - Cahoots has the most interesting cocktail menu I've ever seen. They do a great job breaking up the menu by themes - fruity, oily, even milky cocktails. Each one we tried was delicious and extremely well balanced. Vibes - This completely unique cocktail bar takes you underground to a top-to-bottom themed abandoned subway station in old-time London. The music and energy was exciting but not too loud to have friendly conversation. The staff was friendly and prompt for UK service. Even their shots come in a themed railcar for us to enjoy. I'm recommending this place as a must-go for all my imbibing London visitors.

Food: The bar bites were fantastic Drinks: Unique and mostly yummy Service: Super friendly and played the part Ambiance: Unreal how well it was done Price: Above average but worth it for the ambiance Overall, a fantastic experience. We made a reservation online several weeks in advance. Make sure when you make your reservation that you request the underground as there is an above ground bar. Once we arrived, we checked in at the front and we're told that we had to be on time as we were early. Then we came back and they checked us in and brought us downstairs to the lovely Marcel who played the part of a post-World war II mater d very well. We were then brought to a table which all the tables are a mixed smorgasbord of thrift store chic. The inside is decorated to perfection of this speakeasy hidden away rail car fanfare. We ordered some of the popular cocktails off the menu such as the Winston Churchill and the milk boy cocktail. I would say out the drinks that I ordered they were all very delish. Although because there's a lot of different mixed alcohols, I would say maybe stick with one or two types. You can always switch to a regular cocktail at any time. At the end, I just got a regular gin and soda. The food was phenomenal even though it was just barbites. The arancini were cheesy and delicious. The croquettes, although not traditional croquettes by the Latin standard were very good. The only thing I would say is that for the Winston Churchill beverage it was mostly ice with very little liquid in it. It. I would maybe ease up on the ice on that drink. Overall, the 2 hours flew by and the staff was super friendly and helpful and played their roles to a tee. If I return to town I would absolutely book this experience again.

Was great place to grab a drink after dinner. It was the first bar we went to in London, and it did not disappoint.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a fun spot! Loved the 1940's memorabilia and vibe.
..including the live music that was happening the night we were there. Drinks are a tad on the pricey side, but there is a time limit of how long you can stay (it was 2 hours the evening we visited), so you'll probably not manage to run up a massive bar bill anyway. (Or maybe you will, in which case, cheers to you!) But, the cocktails are all beautiful and tasty, and it's a fun spot to catch up with friends. Enjoy!!

This...... is THE PLACE to go. The atmosphere is a post WWII bar spot with memorabilia and actors of the times. Everyone and every moment was an experience to remember. I would like to point out that Georgio was the best server that anyone could ask for. Funny, polite, and entertaining from the moment we sat down to leaving the bar. I recommend calling in a reservation because walk ins are not guaranteed. Thank you for the experience!!!
Be the first to ReplyGeorgio is without a doubt the best server I have ever met.
What a sales man. He could sell ice to an Eskimo. You've stepped back in time to 1946. The drinks were incredible. Service was immaculate. And the vibes were off the charts. Do not come here if you do not wanna have an experience accompanied with a fire drink.

Had an amazing time and our server was so accommodating and entertaining as well! Definitely wished we would've found this place earlier on our trip. I recommend anyone who wants to have some great drinks as well as good vibes at this place. Cheers and we'll be back in the future!

We came here after seeing Moulin Rouge to have a night cap and it didn't disappoint. I had The Judy Garland, a decadent drink with champagne, vodka and floral essence. This bunker style space transfers you back to the air raids of World War II where you had to choice but to seize the night because you didn't know what tomorrow would bring. Carpe note' still exists in this trendy night bar.

Very crowded, even on weeknights, so make a reservation ahead of time. The underground is cool--themed like the train stations and very dive-bar-like in style. The drinks were just okay though
Be the first to ReplyI loved my experience at Cahoots Bar! Go to the one
I loved my experience at Cahoots Bar! Go to the one underground because you'll have a more fun experience as it depicts "Underground" as a bar. The drinks here were amazing and I had so much fun because of the atmosphere. Their menu is on a newspaper and have delicious cocktails. They also give you a cup of popcorn as a snack, that goes well with all the drinks!I definitely recommend this bar for a cool experience in London! I would make a reservation because some people had to wait over an hour to get in but we got lucky and got in in 10 minutes.

This place is rad! The drinks were fantastic and atmosphere was so great. Richard was wonderful and beyond friendly!
Be the first to ReplyWe went to the Cahoots Underground.
It is a 1940s-themed bar, offering illicit cocktails and rations. There was a really nice and friendly host, manning the entrance. He was checking everyone's reservation, and making sure the table for each guest group is ready, before sending a group down. Once our table was ready, a staff escorted us down, and to our table. The area was much larger than I expected it to be. Our table was inside the vintage train carriage! It was awesome! You are encouraged to dress up in the 1940s-ish attire for extra fun, but not mandatory. We got some complimentary popcorn in a can of apple sauce, as we ordered some fun drinks. We ordered Vera Lynn, Marilyn Monroe, Cahooch Sour. The presentation was great, and the drinks were strong and tasty. I wanted to try more drinks, since they were all so interesting, but we were a bit too tired since it was our first day in London, getting there on red eye flight. But we had so much fun!!! I am sure we will go back the next time we visit London!

Many years ago, on my very first night in London -- my friend's cousin invited me out to Cahoots!I was a fresh face fawn brand new in town. It was relatively easy to find and is in the heart of Kingly Court. If you can't find it -- the queue which is usually long as hell will help you find it. It was pretty long, we waited about 20-30 minutes. Luckily it wasn't that cold and everyone was well behaved. It moved fairly quickly so you're not dead in the water for the entire 20/30.The space was very cool. Well decorated and in theme. It's a wee bit crowded but Cahoots is wickedly popular. It was burlesque night. We got a table in the aisle area which was fab because all the acts ran to and fro. Drinks were average. And average cocktail price. The bar is more about the experience than the drinks. It was a fun time and I would recommend it for any newbies in town. It was a great start to my London life.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice place which takes you to the probation era.
The staff was very helpful and prompt. Even recommended cocktails which we really liked. Overall great place for having cocktails and relaxing with friends. Would highly recommend. Reservation recommended.

This place is sooooo cool! Glad we were able to get in without a reservation. Waited about 20 mins before they let us because space is limited, but it's worth whatever wait. Drinks are made to order and super unique, they put a lot of work in each one.
Be the first to ReplyGreat speakeasy bar hidden in the heart of London.
The drinks were well crafted and delicious. The vibe was very cool with more 1930s to 1940s era. There was a small wait to get in which you appreciate because they never let it get over crowded. This place had some of our favorite drinks over on our trip to London. The only way to figure out where this place is located is follow directions and look for the line. No name out front in true speakeasy fashion.

Amazing experience! I had high expectations and they were met plus more. Drinks were delicious, theme was delivered throughout entire experience. Music was great, low lighting and bartenders/waitresses dressed the part.

I loved this bar! When go downstairs "to the trains" that'll take you to the early 1900s (ohhhhh~)! It's a bit dark in there, but enough light to see the person across :) If you don't know what type of drink you want, you can ask the waiters & they'll help you. I loved the one my waiter helped me pick! You also get a mini bowl of popcorn for your nom noms. But basically! Train theme was fun, my waiter was cute, and the drinks were amazing! I hope to come back soon during my next trip to London! Don't forget to make a reservation!
