Fantastic service, our waitress was so nice and recommended amazing places to go on our trip. The food came super fast and was so delicious. The ambiance of the place was clubby, but awesome for dinner. We had an amazing time! I recommend the truffle fries.

If you can get a reservation better, to get a nice view. They take walk ins
Be the first to ReplyLocated right down the street from our hotel.
Got seated right away and drinks came within 10 minutes. Very busy and a lot of people! Our food all came at once. I got the chicken sliders, one friend got the same, other one got the thai curry and the other got the steak and mushrooms. All enjoyed their food! Their happy hour starts @ 10pm for Friday-Saturday. Server was nice and accomodating.
Be the first to ReplySushi platters are amazing.
Best thing I found at Cactus Club is that all chicken items/entries are Halal I am simply delighted. The ambience is great. Waiting can be long, so book in advance.

Average and does not live up to the photos on this yelp page that seem to be posted by owner. The chicken was barely 3oz along with the smallest half of avocado. Was disappointed considering I based my decision off the photos on this review page . Service was average - busy with place. Lettuce cups my husband had were good - better portion than the entire salad.
Be the first to ReplyThe best dinner out we have had in a long time.
We come to Canada from Washington a couple times a year and in the spring we stay in downtown Vancouver right by the water. We were out walking and saw the Cactus Club Cafe. I liked the look of the building and decided we would have dinner there. I made a reservation for the next night (tonight) and we went. The place was hopping when we got there but we could see how organized the operation was. After a short wait we were seated and met JORDAN who was our server. She was amazing. Sweet and funny but also efficient. We wanted for nothing and she even laughed at one of my Dad jokes when she asked what I was drinking (double water on the rocks ). We ordered steaks. I had the Creole Steak and Shrimp and Mama had the Filet and Lobster Tail. Both dishes were very good. My steak was a sirloin and they can be chewy but Cactus knows how to do a sirloin because it was done perfectly. There is an option to upgrade to a filet or a 12 oz strip but I was not that ambitious. We began with Szechuan Chicken lettuce wraps which were also excellent. The entire experience was stress free and Jordan was a dream. Did I mention she was good? I tipped her well and she actually came back to ask if I meant to do it. Such a nice person she is. Don't sleep on this place if you are looking for a nice dinner experience and ask to sit in Jordan's section. She will treat you right.

The food, the atmosphere, and the music that was being played made it a perfect visit. The servers were polite. I had the rigatoni it was delicious & my wife had the butternut squash ravioli was also very delicious.
Be the first to ReplyWe did Bite of Burnaby at the Cactus club in Brentwood.
The meal portions were ample and very tasy. One member of our party has an extreme allergy, and great care was taken in the preparation of her meal. Our server was professional and fun. All in all, it was a lovely night.

.. should be missed. You're better off across the road at Craft. Service: a solid 2/5, Ambiance: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Only the lettuce wraps seem a good choice. Wings are acceptable, but we ordered perhaps 15 different dishes, and most items just meet mediocrity
Be the first to ReplyStopped in for happy hour.
The teriyaki chicken rice bowl was fab and the view was great. Excellent service and we'll be going back for dinner before our trip is over!

The food here is really good, though the menu skews a bit on unhealthy. Service is very good, and the view is impressive. It's a bit loud, and the wait can be long. But it's worth it if you're in the neighborhood.

Got a feenie burger for 25 fucking dollars and got the worst food poisoning. First Rob Feenie, wanna be big time chef, if you endorse a burger with your name make damn sure that doesn't happen. Second, how does one fuck a burger up like that I don't even know. 3rd, for 25 dollars I can make 2 burgers way better than the crap feenie burger. If I do eat there again you better fucking hope I don't get poisoned again Robbie cause I believe in payback.
Be the first to ReplyRemains a great spot for a yummy bite.
You can make a reservation online ahead of time or attempt to walk in. We were able to get a spot right away in the lounge. We ordered the calamari and salads. The salads were quite big and entree sized (but reasonably sized given the high price). Calamari was tasty but I miss the old style!
Be the first to ReplyThis is my favourite Cactus Club Cafe location.
There are many reasons this is my preferred location. The view is stunning, it is spacious, and it is known for having added items on the menu. A great example of this is the dine out menu this year. The service is definitely at industry standard. I have been here on several occasions. There were two occasions I chose this location specifically. The most current one was for dine out. My friend and I ordered different options to try the food items we desire. We started the appetizers with Hamachi Sashimi and crab cake. The sashimi was nice with the Serrano, yuzu ice. It was more of a carpaccio than a sashimi texture. The crab cake was also nice. For our main course, we tried the new menu items: grilled chimichurri steak and baked chimichurri steelhead. Both came with asparagus and mashed potatoes (steak)/rice (steelhead). Finally, we chose the peanut butter chocolate crunch and the New York Cheesecake for dessert. Both were amazing and a nice finish to a wonderful meal. I would say that for what you get, this cactus has great value. I'm glad we chose cactus for a girls' night dine-out this year!

We came for their happy hour and it was overall a great experience. They take reservations, but we didn't have any and lined up for walk ins. The wait wasn't too bad on a Wednesday evening. It took about 5-10 minutes for a table in the lounge area. The restaurant is right by the water in a location with a beautiful view. I would recommend reservations to get a table by the window. The food was delicious with good portions. We ordered the truffle fries, salmon aburi roll, teriyaki chicken rice bowl, rigatoni bolognese, cheddar burger, and for dessert a cheesecake. The salmon aburi roll was very tasty with a nice smoky sear, although a little on the small side, but quite a few pieces. I thought the teriyaki chicken bowl tasted good, but it was a fancier version that my young daughter didn't enjoy. It was topped with raw vegetables: bean sprouts and some green/purple leafy veggies and also had mayo drizzled underneath. The truffle fries were well seasoned, crispy, and fragrant. I'm a big fan of bolognese and the rigatoni bolognese was delicious. It had a good amount of meat in the sauce with shredded Parmesan cheese and a piece of toasted bread. The cheddar burger was good and came with fries. The cheesecake had a nice graham crust with raspberry sauce. Service was attentive. I would definitely come back to this restaurant next time I'm in the area and make reservations so I can get a table with a view.
Be the first to ReplyAlert, alert for the new GOAT Cactus Club.
This one easily tops all the ones I've been too and not only does this have super epic window seating around the harbour but they have an army pumping out food. Koodos to the GOAT.

This restaurant is all about location , scenic views of the bay and tasty food . We had impossible burger with salad , chicken Cajun burger with fries and Mediterranean bowl. I was blown away by the Mediterranean bowl . The rice , chicken, salad, falafel were all done to perfection. Burgers were all well liked too.

We were wandering around Vancouver while visiting for a few days for my birthday. We got back to our hotel room and realized we were both starving so I hopped on Yelp to see what was nearby. To our surprise, we found this Cactus Club Cafe location just a couple blocks down from us AND it was right in the middle of happy hour so we were on our way. When we arrived, it was packed but there weren't many people waiting so we gave them our name and sat down. It only took about 5 minutes for them to be ready to seat us. Our server immediately brought menus and gave us a few minutes to look them over. She came to take our order and came back with our drinks only a couple minutes later even with how busy it was. Maybe 10ish minutes later our food came out. We were surprised with how fast it was! I got the sliders with truffle fries and my husband got the poke bowl. Both were amazing. I absolutely adored the fries and would go back just for them. The dipping sauce was something different than I've ever had before - dilly, garlicky... delicious! My Bellini was also really good!We ended up getting a different server about halfway through but there were no issues - she was just as great as the first one! She brought us our check after bringing us a couple boxes for leftovers. We were in and out in just under an hour but at no time did we feel rushed or anything - they were just on top of it all. I used the bathroom before we left and was pleasantly surprised to see a display case just outside of them with some of the past Olympic torches in it. I thought it was really neat! We plan on coming back to Vancouver soon and we definitely plan on coming by this location again!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious both times we went.
The lettuce wraps are to die for, I get them often at different restaurants but Cactus Club tops them all. The mocktails are so good and have great ingredients that are good for you. Unlike some places where they're good but too sugary. The crab cake was the only disappointment. Lacked in flavour in my opinion but the crab cake itself was still good quality. Overall, still 5/5 and we will 100% be going back!

I am in love with the bellini. Could've ordered 2 more. I had the Poke Bowl GF version. The waitor was knowledgeable on the subject and cross contamination, and what he didn't know, he went to the kitchen and asked. The bowl was delicious. I also had their chocolate frappe drink, and it was the best.

Our hotel suggested this place, and we ended up going back twice! Loved the happy hour and all the TVs! Servers were all amazing! The food was amazing especially the sweat potato fries (get extra aioli, it's to die for) & the calamari was my favorite! Everything tasted amazing. Just not a fan of mango in sushi rolls but still ate it al lol

Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I brought her mum for a birthday dinner to this
My wife and I brought her mum for a birthday dinner to this location and our experience left a lot to be desired. There are many Cactus Clubs that are closer to us, but we travelled across town for the view. Suffice to say, it was a journey, and of course finding a parking spot in this part of town is another challenge. Generally speaking you're better off taking transit to this location - there is no designated parking. When we left our house, there was a wait of about fifteen minutes for a table. By the time we arrived, it had ballooned to 40-50 minutes. We put our name down on the waiting list and waited patiently by the front entrance. After about 40 minutes, I went to get an update with the staff at the front, and her response was "You were told it would be 40-50 minutes, and it has been 43 minutes". I'd like to give this staff member the benefit of the doubt, however, we were polite when we asked, and their response was not only rude, it was disrespectful and uncalled for. After about an hour, we were finally seated, albeit near the front door at a booth with no view whatsoever. I understand they were busy, however if a party has waited for an hour, perhaps you should ask them if there was a particular part of the restaurant they'd like to sit in.Once we were seated, our server was prompt and the food was fine. For the three of us, we spent in the neighbourhood of $150-$200 for dinner and drinks including tax and tip. Given our unfortunate interaction with their front of house staff, I will not be returning to this Cactus Club - or any Cactus Club - in the near future.
