Cache Cache Aspen Reviews
Underwhelming and unfriendly
Snobby and unfriendly bordering on rude . I’ve been there 4 times now and can’t understand the appeal. The staff and service are poor the management seems to think they are celebrities the Food is ok but not great there are much better choices.

4.7 The appetizers and pastas were absolutely delicious! This was some of the best Foie Gras I've ever had which pushed this review to 5 stars. The Cacio E Pepe was fresh and you can tell the pastas were home made. It was also cool some of the ingredients for the gnocchi special were housed from an employees local garden/farm. The main dishes lacked some seasoning and were a little lack luster compared to the Apps but would go back for those dishes for sure!!
Terrible Service
Terrifying service from the manager and the waiters, they did not take into account the customer's requests, according to them they have operated like this for 40 years and they are not going to change their policies The cocktails were terrible, they served an aperol spritz and it didn't have aperol, they ordered a negroni with Gin Monkey 47 (they didn't have them) they ordered a Don Julio Reposado margarita (they didn't have them) the drinks were terrible and the manager and the Argentine innkeeper removed him from the table without offering anything in return Additionally, we dropped a glass of wine on the tablecloth and we asked to change it. and the innkeeper got upset saying that it was impossible, that their 40-year-old policies allowed them to place a white napkin on top of the tablecloth to cover the stain, and that's what they did... I don't understand how a restaurant with so much rating has such simple and elementary flaws with customer service where you charge up to 25% of the invoice amount

I cannot imagine how this place does not have anything but
I cannot imagine how this place does not have anything but five stars. It is an institution in Aspen and anyone who is anyone has been here. That doesn't matter though. It's longevity and popularity is most likely because the staff works tirelessly to meet your every need. Our waitress provided perfect service along with her assistant. The restaurant was packed, but we felt like the only ones in the room. Cache Cache is poetic and magical. Most importantly, the food is amazing! We ordered king crab everything, a steak, the mousse, cocktails wine... all heavenly. We're grateful to the dedicated staff there!! Whoever can't find happiness here doesn't belong.

I was very underwhelmed by both the food and service at Cache Cache. My partner and I dined here last night (Saturday night) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I don't drink alcohol, and it seemed to annoy our server when we did not order wine for the table. Once our server found I was not drinking booze, we didn't see much of him for the rest of the night. My water was infrequently filled, and my glass was empty multiple times throughout our 2 hour meal. Eventually another server seemed to have replaced him as he stopped coming to our table. We started off with the burrata and tomatoes, and the foie gras. The tomatoes didn't taste like the local/farm fresh tomatoes advertised. The raspberry jam with the foie gras was spectacular - probably the best thing we ate at this restaurant. The foie gras itself was fine - certainly not the best I've had. For our main course, I got the sea bass and my wife ordered the lamb chop. My sea bass was beautifully presented but tasted as if the chef forgot to salt it at any point during the cooking process. It was so bland and under-seasoned that I resorted to adding my own salt and pepper from the table. My wife's lamb chop was cooked perfectly to the medium rare she ordered, but also lacked proper seasoning. The portion size was generous, and I would not be surprised to learn that lamb was almost a full year when butchered because the chops were huge. Everything we ate the entire night was chronically under-seasoned. I rarely resort to using table salt shakers, but it seems like I had a fork in one hand and salt shaker in the other for this meal. The chocolate cake was burned. Not overly toasted - burned. I would be embarrassed to send that out if I were on the line. We all have off days - so it is possible the kitchen had an off day, and our server was having an off day, but our experience was about $400 for 2 people and I think it would have been better spent on a lot of other dining options in Aspen.
Great service and food await at Cache Cache
Tucked away, this gem served us a wonderful meal with Juan doing a great job to ensure our complete satisfaction. Very comfortable and timing was great from appetizer to dessert.
Terrible
I have to say this was the worst service in Aspen. No apologies from management staff and very overpriced. I have been to Aspen many times and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
EXCELLENT
Cache Cache is always the best food, wine and cocktails! Every single dish is delicious! The beet salad and vegan entree were amazing. My nephew had the lamb liver entree and loved it…. Of course the desserts were also delicious~
Such a disappointment-again.
So many better places to go for literally half the price. $29 Caesar salad was terrible-had to ask for lemons and add salt to make it zing a little. To start with the romaine was terrible quality. Then the $72 shrimp entree was average, even sweet which was not a welcome surprise. Service was fine. Gimlet was fine.
Delicious creme brûlée & Lamb Chops
Amazing lamb chops and creme brûlée! Must try when in Aspen! Their Serrano infused pineapple margarita are so delicious! We were greeted by Jodi, the owner and her entire friendly staff went above and beyond to offer us superb customer service.
I had the worst experience in this place last night.
I'm not sure why people say this place is good. The Maitre D was so rude and stuck up. I just told them that the Escargot was impossible to get out of the shells .He was so rude and looked me up and down like I was a piece of dirt.Horrible. Don't waste your money. There are way better places than this.
The best in town! Delicious quality food and great service.
Big wine selection. One of the best dining experience aspen has to offer
Food not good- attitude from staff .
.. no reason to go back... Not sure more words necessary
Best Chicken & Apple Crisp in Aspen hands down.
Service is excellent and ambiance is best in town. Jodi is a magician!
