I booked at the C Restaurant as I knew it was the type of restaurant that would add something nice to celebrate my our wedding anniversary. After we had finished our meal, and before we left our table to settle the bill, I purposely sat at the table with my wife for approx. 10+ minutes to see if something was going to happen, like a nice little something that would help us celebrate our special day. But nothing did. So, we settled the bill and I asked why they did nothing for the anniversary, despite explicitly adding that to my booking, twice (selection, and in the free text field). The Duty Manager said, "the plate is on the bill". I asked, "what plate ?". And then he realized nothing had happened, and casually apologized while charging my card. It was an embarrassment for both my wife and I, and made the C Restaurant look like ill-managed, non-caring, and fake high-class destination that will charge $200+ to be the destination of choice to spend our anniversary that failed to deliver in the worst way After emailing the restaurant about our disappointment, I received a follow-up phone call from the restaurant manager who ended the call by hanging up on me, after she emphasized it was a "free extra" and there's nothing she can do about it Not that we dine at McDonald's, but we would get better after-sales service at 10% of the cost. This restaurant is an over-priced tourist destination managed by people who do not value their customers

The food here isn't too special, not great but not bad. You simply pay for the view of the city. Atmosphere is quite nice with the rotating platform and dim lighting, and staff are quite friendly but again nothing too special.

Arriving at 12:30 my family and I were promptly seated and had ordered no later than 12:40, I ordered the Gnocchi for starters, seared duck breast for mains and cheese cake for dessert. Our starters arrived at 1:20, the gnocchi was large pieces of pasta in cheese sauce which was down right overwhelming and it lingered on my palate throughout every meal. For mains the table ordered sides of duck fat potatoes, cooked root vegetables as well as a kale and broccoli salad all of which arrived at 2 apart from the potatoes which we had to remind the waitstaff that we did not get them twice receiving them by the time we finished our mains. The duck was under seasoned and cooked more well done then medium rare as well as being lukewarm, ruining what would have been a nice dish. The duck fat potatoes as well as arriving late were severely under seasoned and did not taste like they were cooked in duck fat at all. The cooked root vegetables were barely cooked with all of them still being hard, not in a nice way, supposedly they were seasoned with truffle and honey but all that anyone could taste was olive oil, lacking basic seasoning once again. The kale and broccoli salad was watery and had an overpowering saffron taste which could have been easily avoided. For desert I ordered the cheese cake which was nice but it arrived to the table at 2:40 and we were asked to leave our table at 2:55 as more guest had arrived, this we were not warned about prior but, luckily we had finished our desert. With access to such nice produce which doesn't require much to taste great the fine dining c restaurant struggled to make its meals taste nice as they could not season the food correctly or keep it at a reasonable temperature which was honestly disappointing.

My wife and I too went on our aniversary and recieved the complimentary sparkle plate which was a nice touch. The food was overall quite good with room for but a few improvements. The deserts were a real highlight. Service lacked intimacy and attentativeness. The view is truely lovely but you get the sense C Restaurant is trying to be something they are not. All in all not a disaster but way overpriced. Given all the other lovely alternatives that Perth has to offer, we will regretably not be returning there any time soon.....

two stars for the view, food was severely overpriced and disappointing. Service not special. Understand the special memorable location, but don't expect a memorable meal
Be the first to ReplyAs a regular customer to C restaurant, I am disappointed
As a regular customer to C restaurant, I am disappointed with the changes that have happened over the past year or so. More often then not the service is poor. An example upon my last visit, we were seated and it took our waiter 15 minutes to even get table water to us. He then said he would be back in 5 minutes to take our order, he was back in 15 minutes. The wait between entree and mains was extremely long. I always come on a Sunday lunch time, and I've found the menu structure and pricing is changed very often which is undesirable. Much disappointed to say I will not be returning to C restaurant again.

The view is great especially at sunset, but that's where the service and polish finishes. I haven't been to this restaurant in 3yrs it was always a favourite but won't go back $290for2 people. The waiter didn't really want to be there and lacked polish and servo e you expect from fine dining. The Nocchi was goo but the main lamb wasn't it was chewy and tasted and smelled like beef and when raising to the waiter he didn't even apologise. So go for the view not the service or food it's lacks depth and polish.

Celebrated her birthday and my friend had been here 3 years ago. We asked for a vegan menu for her . It's not prix menu but the selection was limited previously and had to be ordered a week in advance. For 96, it's either an entree and main OR main and dessert. I would suggest entree and main. My dessert was not awesome and the selection limited.Warning, for vegans look for the vg on their menu. V is only vego and my friend was really sad when her gnocchi arrived because it was not vegan. It was great that they speedily made a different main for her. My salmon....was not fresh, not much taste but adequate. Both of us opted for dessert but it was not great. We just wanted to chill and talk but at 940p.m. the server just planted the bill on the table. Rude. Especially since according to Google closes at 1130.
Be the first to ReplyWe went in to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
After finding our reservation, she immediately wished us 'Happy Anniversary' and took us to our seats. We requested the vegetarian/vegan menu and it had about three options to choose from for each meal (appetizer, entree, main, sides and dessert). I personally felt that the service was a little slow and the servers weren't as attentive as they are in the US. It wasn't particularly busy so that wasn't the issue. The food wasn't a "Oh my god! You got to try it!" moment but it was pleasant. We enjoyed it. At the end of our main meal, they served us two jelly candies with a sparkler and 'Happy Anniversary' written in chocolate sauce. This is a revolving restaurant on the 34th floor of the building so if you're prone to motion sickness or afraid of heights, you might want to keep this in mind. They have some great views of city. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Greeted warmly, and order taken promptly. For a fine dining restaurant charging $96 for entree and main (or main and dessert) per person, decor was dated, (canopy above drink station, Italian pizzeria style cartoon images of chefs holding meats and dead chicken, red light around gap in ceiling, gold lamp on each table). View was spectacular, but it was hindered by the red light around the ceiling, and the back light of the restaurant. Non reflective coating of the glass would definitely rectify this. Our attendant was friendly, though he served across the table. We noticed wine and meals were served to the wrong tables around us, perhaps because food and drinks were served by expediters, instead of attendants in charge of each section. We ordered bread, souffle for entree to share, duck breast and lamb loins for mains, with a side of fries. Bread arrived 2 minutes after ordering, appeared not made on site. As we were finishing the last piece, server took the main plate away, taking the oil and butter dish off it to leave on the table, realised butter was empty, so he took it away. Then our souffle arrived, it was quite delicious and parmesan ice cream was unique and lovely. We were then given complementary palate cleanser of orange and raspberry. I thought it was very strong for a palate cleanser, and it was even less appealing when you can see the chef squeezing it out of a piping bag into the glasses. Our mains came not long after (bread, entree, palate cleanser, mains all served within 45 minutes), took one bite of the lamb to find it cold. Informed server, had to request for the duck to also be taken back, as we wished to dine together at the same time. Within 10 minutes, both of the mains were served again, and the lamb was cold again. Requested server to feel the lamb to which he did, he took it back. At this point we were extremely annoyed, so decided to leave. Manager apologised and said that he will only charge for the 2 wines and entree. Once we left we realised he had charged us $73.80. My husband called the restaurant back and spoke to the Maitre D' requesting for the venue manager to contact us next week, specifically not on the night, as we wanted to salvage what was left of our evening. 2 minutes later, a different manager called us back to resolve the matter.Definitely not a fine dining experience. Open kitchen allows for us to clearly see that lamb was sous vide, but it must have been seared first, then put in the bath, which explains why it came out cold twice. Just a restaurant that relies on the wow factor of the revolving view, who wants to churn people in and out. To charge $48 per meal and not having the care to provide the matching experience is absolutely shameful.

Be the first to ReplyI liked the food more than I expected to.
Definitely on the expensive side. Service was seriously odd. The young waiter came and asked if he could take our menus away. I so wish I just said OK, instead of asking why he wanted to take them, when we hadn't ordered yet! We ordered a bottle of sparkling water, which after the first glass, was ignored and glasses refilled from carafe that services every table. When we left it was still half full on the table. Fairly certain my husband tipped them his PIN number, as although the tax invoice we received was for $395 the amount on my credit card was $423. We would not tip that Fawlty Towers style of service. As he said the muttered something about a tip. I can see him putting in his pin then repeating it. Nice views OK food, but I wouldn't return
Be the first to ReplyA million dollar view; satisfactory meals.
The meals are decent - at best. Nothing is fresh. It feels defrosted, microwaved and served on a plate. The portioning is decent. There's flavour there, but it lacks freshness. My Chicken and Chorizo entre was sprinkled in 'Coles frozen veggies' and was such a disappointment. I ordered Wagyu for main, which was pleasant - but when taking in consideration the price - 'pleasant' doesn't cut it. The only exciting aspect about the restaurant - is the view. Continuously planning around Perth city at night is so beautiful and honestly such an experience; but that's it. Even the toilet facilities feel a bit old and un-cared for. It's one of those places, you'll visit once to impress someone, and never return.
Be the first to ReplyOur wedding anniversary night out at C was magnificent.
We chose the vegan menu and we're amazed with the variety. Everything was really tasty. We're glad we came, it was a great night out together. The view of Perth, as the restaurant turns, is unreal with the sun setting, changing the colours as you go around. We'll be back.
