Bristol Seafood Grill Creve Coeur Reviews from The Last Year
Great food great service.
We went for a work function and everyone enjoyed their food. I would definitely recommend going here.
I came here with an open mind.
Boy was I wrong. I ordered the Alaskan king crab legs and a side of calf lower au gratin , and lobster Mac n cheese. I was not happy at all with the sides. The cauliflower had a bland taste. The lobster Mac n cheese was made with ziti. Didn't care for that either. Both were dry and flavorless. For the showstopper...the crab legs! The crab legs were ok. They tasted "ok". Not as fresh as they could have been. We then decided to order the carrot cake. Now had the cake been freshly made, it was very dry and dense. I'm certain it would have been great had it been served freshly baked. Disappointed. 300 dollars later, we left feeling pretty disappointed. Won't be going there again. Sorry.
RUN RUN RUN !!!
Food was so bad, I think this place should become an Applebees because that’s the quality of food you get from there. I should have known after eating those dry biscuits only to find out the menu gets much worst. I do not recommend this place for a nice dinner, there are probably many other restaurant options you could consider instead of here.
Just ok for price
The service was good, but the food is nothing special for the cost. I do very much enjoy their caesar salad, the scallops were a bit bland. Asparagus seemed to charred. The mixed berry dessert was a nice sweet, healthier option.

I have been here many times and actually ordered their seafood appetizer as my main course. I don't eat oysters and they have substituted it with lots of extra cold shrimp... love it. Last week we had the cedar plank, salmon, and a salad plus, I ordered the Seabass. On top of that, their crème brûlée is second to none !
Was so glad the brunch buffet returned.
Unfortunately the food quality has suffered greatly. Biscuits were like hockey pucks, gravy like water, eggs overcooked, lobster mac n cheese was dry, caesar salad tasteless. nothing was hot, and the carrot cake that used to be so good many years ago was awful. Having dirty plates cleared from the table was not done in a timely manner. Will not be returning. The only good thing was people watching.
Just came from Sunday Brunch at Bristol.
Pre-Covid, my family and I would frequently go for Brunch. We were glad when they started up again. Today however, was very disappointing. The biscuits were hard, the gravy was watered down, the scrambled eggs were dry, the famous mac & cheese with lobster sauce was not creamy but dry and clumpy, and the prime rib was dry also. The food selections were greatly reduced from previous years. We so enjoyed going to Brunch in the past, but after today, we will never go again. Deb M.

Great spot for a nice business lunch or dinner! We went for lunch and were immediately seated. Daily seafood specials and a wide variety of options on the lunch menu. The lobster cobb salad & shrimp tacos were made with fresh seafood and were yummy! They also walk around and offer you fresh biscuits right out of the oven. Go give Bristol a try!
For Starters and more
Wife enjoyed the crab cakes starter, I less so the calamari, so thin wasn’t chewy, not even as good as Olive Garden. Good house champagne. Pan seared scallops off Today’s menu was a better choice than scallops off regular menu with balsamic reduction, seemed smaller and not much of the reduction, and the pan seared came with asparagus, much better than shaved fennel.
Excellent service
Great service. Tori did an excellent job helping with food allergy concerns. It was busy and a bit of a wait for the food, but Tori brought coloring books for the kids.amd gave us a dessert to take home¡
Food & Staff Excellent
Tori I can’t say enough good things about her expertise recommending the proper champagne, recommending amazing dishes, and properly coursing out our very large meal. Everything was superb. Please tell Tori thank you for us.
Great first time dining experience
Tori was an AMAZING server. Being a first timer here, having a knowledgeable server can make the experience. She guided us through or choices and everything she recommended was 💯 on point! Get the carrot cake!!

I think this place must have been amazing during my childhood but it's not not worth the price anymore. Service is always fantastic, but the food itself is flavorless and overpriced. It sort of reminds me of all-inclusive resort food where it looks fancy but eats like a frozen dinner. Even their signature crab cakes are disappointing. Maybe they can turn things around, though, because they always seem to be busy so they have a built-in audience to test any new-and-Improved recipes.
We always have a good experience at Bristol's.
Service and food is consistently decent and they've been a staple in Stlouis for years+

Consumers Beware, My husband and I had decided to have dinner at Bristol Seafood for our anniversary. When we sat down everything appeared to be fine. After we ordered our food the service from the waiter became obsolete. He stayed at the table behind us and then went to his other table. Our drinks were never refilled nor did he offer us desert. This restaurant is not a cheap restaurant and at our age I expect to receive equal and fair service. While the food was okay the waiter service ruined our experience at Bristol Seafood located at Creve Coeur. My husband and I both spoke with the manager but he did not appear to be sympathetic to the horrible service. If I could give them a half a star I would. Definitely ruined our anniversary dinner. Beware of this location it is not worth horrible service for the amount money.
Beautiful place but I could not believe the Biscuits.
They were hockey pucks. All the appetizers were good but could not believe how hard those pucks were.
The food was great, seasoned well.
Ordered the special of salmon with lobster risotto and green beans. The other was the surf and turf with the Atlantic salmon. As for the app, we got the calamari. For dessert, they treated us with the chocolate molten lava cake. The service was great. We got excellent help and were waited on an appropriate amount of times. The ambiance was quiet, relaxed, and great.

We were celebrating a birthday and fortunately we got a private dining dining nook. They hold about 10 ppl max or 5-6 min. Our waiter was very attentive and good also. The quality of the good is always good. I had the seared sea scallops with roasted Brussels sprouts and lobster risotto. Several others had the scallops with different lovely side dishes. Someone had the crab cakes dinner which they said was very good. There was also a very appetizing looking filet mignon one friend had that was cooked to perfection. This restaurant is also a steak house tho huge seafood selection. Everything was great, it was a nice evening.

Amanda was an excellent waitress! Amazing service and gave great recommendations. A funny one as well
Meh
Bristol’s was clearly understaffed, which seems like status quo for many restaurants around town these days. Our server seemed to do the best he could, so he isn’t the reason for the low score. My sister and I both ordered steak and both came out “cold”. My sister sent hers back and it came back again, cold. I ate mine as was. The manager did make it right and had it remade entirely and she said it was perfect and removed hers from the bill. Everyone else said the food was just okay. There are better places to eat, in my opinion. The last time I was there it was sub-par, too.
Can here for my birthday celebration.
Definitely make a reservation- they get pretty busy. We started with the Firecracker Cauliflower as an appetizer. It was very good and not too spicy. For dinner I had the pasta and shrimp. It was delicious. I had a nice size portion. Enough for lunch tomorrow too. They gifted me with a complimentary dessert. great ambiance, for dinner they have the lights lowered.
One word.
....Brunch The restaurant itself could use a little updating the variety of offerings during brunch is great. Don't skip the Belgian waffle and custom omelettes
This is a nice place.
Very classy upscale. There is plenty of parking here and everybody seems fairly nice. I will say it's a little pricey, but you probably get some of the better food here too. I'm not sure but it does taste delicious. I used to be strictly a vegetarian and now I'm a semi pescatarian so you know they got some good seafood in. It's delicious but I don't eat all of them just the fish. They have plenty of parking out front table service. Nice. Quiet music and it can be romantic type atmosphere. Easy to talk if you got other people with you. It's not loud.
We always enjoy the food here.
Tonight I tried the pasta and blackened shrimp entree. It was very good. The service was friendly. The lobster risotto is fantastic and the scallops were cooked perfectly. We also tried the roasted beet salad for something different. It was tasty.
The food is delicious! I came during their daily happy
The food is delicious! I came during their daily happy hour 4-6:30 they have $8.5 & $10.5 amplifiers and drink specials. I had the mini lobster rolls, which include 2 rolls and fries for $10.5. Also the shrimp scampi with 5 plump buttery shrimp for $8.5 with a side of asparagus. Eric mu server was kind and attentive. The asparagus was basic but the scampi and tolls were felishas. This is a great place to top for happy hour, I will get the sliders next time.
Let me start by saying we had great service.
We were there for a birthday and we were sat within a reasonable time of our reservation and our waitress was great. The food was kind of a half and half deal. My mother got the chicken and really disliked this. My daughter got the steak and it was not cooked right but immediately rectified. The waitress asked my daughter who had an undercooked steak if she would like a new one or for hers to just go back on the grill. Because she cut it up a bit trying to find a bite that wasn't underdone, a new one was made for both people at the table who had steaks that were cooked incorrectly. She said the Brussels sprouts tastes like feet lol whatever that taste is, but she had been anticipating them to be a little more cooked and have a little more seasoning on them. This wasn't a huge deal. The one thing she said that got me was at these prices, I should not be walking out still hungry and that is true. I had the pretzel crusted trout which I did not like but to be fair it was supposed to have a sauce on it that came on the side and I did not like the sauce so I ate the trout without it. It wasn't bad, but a bit flavorless. The lobster risotto that I ordered as a side was absolutely delicious. The rest of the table liked their food. My niece loved the scallops while my other niece was happy with the scampi she ordered. My nephew got fried shrimp and both my older nephew and my brother got the mixed seafood platter. They raved about their food and it did look good. Salads and soup were liked all around except my daughter who mistook rice for cheese and she is not a rice girl lol. My brother who was celebrating his birthday got a dessert on the restaurant and my daughter had the price fix so she also had dessert and they both got crème brûlée and that was delicious. Overall there were enough people that were extremely happy to say this was a successful outing. Thank you so much Bristol for a great birthday dinner for my brother.
Disappointed
The place must have been understaffed. The service was terrible. I ordered grouper with sides of Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. I got roasted Brussel sprouts that were about 10 minutes from being fully cooked. They were hard. I also got risotto instead of cauliflower. That was after they brought the wrong order to our table in the first place. The grouper was good, though. It was a very disappointing visit.
