Awful Customer Service!
I Had a reservation but arrived early, they could not accommodate my early arrival, so after driving 15+ hours I desperately needed a place to rest. I found another hotel that would accept me immediately & when I tried to cancel my reservation they charged me $1000+ half of my $2000+ total. That is an insane cancellation fee!!!!

Fouquet's Hotel is housed in Tribeca in an industrial red bricked building where the property showcases a melange of French classicism with Big Apple trendiness. My Junior Suite was formidable with high ceilings and large windows that flooded the suite with natural light. A separate living area with a sofa and working desk provided a residential ambience to the surroundings. Elegant chandeliers, glamourous fabrics, custom wallpaper, wooden floors, pastel palette, and Art Deco styled furniture all elevated the luxurious stature of this pied-a-terre. The marbleized bath was outfitted with a large shower, dual sink vanity and a seating areas. Fouquet's has 3 French food & beverage options. The most flamboyant is the Bistro where one can experience exceptional French culinary fare like Onion Soup, escargots, Steak Tartare and more Parisian delights. I savored Dover Sole Meuniere and I could not pass on the dessert cart goodies. Then there is the Par Ici, a greenhouse styled cafe with a vegetarian focus and the Titsou, an alluring cocktail lounge. Other amenities include an exquisite spa facility, an indoor pool, fitness center, a Cannes Film Festival-inspired Screening Room and event spaces. So, if you would swoon over an Art Deco interior design straight out of the Champs d' Elysee........................then try the ..................Hotel Barriere Fouquet's New York......... .....................brings a piece of Paris to the Big Apple.
Be the first to ReplyIts just ok not worth $4200 a night
We stayed here for 3 nights and I must say it was not worth the expensive room rate. First, with this being a newer hotel I have to say its really ugly. Whoever designed this hotel really did a very poor choice of colors and patterns. The restaurant was nice but the food was average and expensive for average. The room service food was much better actually it was wonderful!!!! We had a corner suite room with a wrap around terrace which was lovely and impressive but the room color palette was awful. and the armories smelled terrible not sure what acrylic paint was used but it smelled horrible. The mattress was great and the pillows were as well. When I went to use the bath tub the water was bite yellow and maintenance came and said we would have to switch rooms but the next morning they said it was fixed but I didn't trust it as it was the brightest yellow coming out of those pipes. Also, when we were there it was raining and they never offered us umbrellas to use. There is a door man there that loves dogs and he is fabulous!!! He is the best thing about the hotel. At the price of $4200.00 a night I thought I would have felt better about the price if the room was spectacular but the colors of the room and the smell in the cabinets literally made me sick. The designer of this hotel could have really created that Parisian feeling with a much better color palette selection something that flows a little better and not so dingy. Even the light bulb color temperature makes the room look old and uninviting . Such a shame. I will not be staying here again.

An absolutely wonderful stay at what I believe is one of the best hotels in New York. The rooms are chic and well appointed. Big windows, well curated mini bar, hidden TV’s, and more. I love the Tribecca location which is quiet and feels like true New York with its cobblestone streets. I had a corner suite that took full advantage of huge windows and an amazing city view. The hidden bar has a real vibe and great cocktails, the rooftop is perfect for a warm day and the restaurant is elegant and sophisticated. The hotel is a place country do not need, or want, to leave. I have been a huge fan of the Baccarat Hotel, but Fouquet’s is my New York go to moving forward. But about above all that, the level of hospitality is excellent. I reached out to Jean Carlo before arrival and he was responsive, accommodating and made the trip 5 star. I can be demanding as a guest, and Jean Carlo handled it with grace. The brand is lucky to have him.

There are no details left aside. From art to services, food, style, it reaches perfection. The team demonstrates how to have a class of its own, by providing human touch while staying elegant. My new home when visiting New York.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous new taste of Paris in Tribeca
We did a one-night staycation to explore the newly opened Fouquet's and LOVED it. They did not spare any expense in the rooms, or in the incredibly well-fitted out hydrotherapy area of the spa (sauna, steam, hydrotherapy pool). The restaurants are gorgeous with creative, modern, and international menus, AND the frenchiest - DELICIOUS - freshly made croissant and pastry for breakfast. Glad we got an upgrade, because even the 'legacy' room was small - in usual NYC fashion.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The room was exceptional and the most relaxing stay in all of our travels. The turndown service included some delightful surprises. It will be hard to stay anywhere else. Breakfast at fouquets was good. We had drinks at Titsou and this was the highlight of our stay. Our bar server-Conor is truly a pro mixologist with a great personality, servers Barbara and Bella added fun to our experience. The drinks were spectacular and the service was dead spot on. For such a large crowd, we were able to be served as if we were the only ones there. The entire staff deserves a shout-out as they made the evening seamless. And to add to the ambience, watching the chic New York crowd was a bonus. Can’t wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyBummer of a Booking
We were so looked forward to staying at this hotel considering our kids live a few blocks from it. We usually stay at the (always excellent) Greenwich Hotel just down the street and had reservations there, yet we were ready to cancel that room just to try something new in TriBeca. We called the Barriere Fouquet directly and they confirmed to us that it is indeed a hotel that has a benefit structure with our credit card so we should book through the cc company to take advantage of those benefits (nicer rooms, lower prices, spa and breakfast credits, etc), which we attempted. We called the cc company and their rep put us on hold while she contacted the hotel on her end, and when she returned she said that the rep she spoke with at the hotel kept raising the pricing structure on the room as well as voiding our cc benefits and trying to nudge us up to higher-priced rooms, thus the 2 night cost wound up being substantially more expensive and the benefits package far less than those found at the equally upscale Greenwich just two blocks away. Ultimately it sounded like an egregiously difficult group to work with so we stuck with our trusted Greenwich Hotel, which we will continue to do on our regular future stays. Thus, unfortunately I can't write a true review of the hotel because we didn't even make it past the booking process, which was unnecessarily unpleasant. Too bad as we were really looking forward to it.
Be the first to Reply5 star prices without 5 star quality....Still has some work to do
Barriere is beautifully decorated, high end and small, just what NYC needs more of! I was so excited to stay here and especially excited to try the spa. I wanted to love it and I do think it has a ton of potential. Negatives were: The service and food at the restaurants were not up to par for the hotel or the prices. The fries I ordered for room service were practically raw, they were so undercooked. We also ate brunch and breakfast there that were just average for a 5 star French restaurant. The service was so poor, we had to practically beg to get our bill after lunch which took about 30 minutes. The bar scene at night is where they are gaining traction. It is fun and buzzy and the cocktails were great. The service was much better during cocktail hour and it was fun to see all the beautiful New Yorkers arrive. The spa was a great, huge disappointment. It was beautiful looking but the staff was not qualified to run a high-end spa. I was told to arrive 30 minutes before my treatment, which I did but no one arrived to work there until the moment of my service. The gentleman aesthetician did not seem to be well-trained, nor the quality that I would expect at a 5 star spa. It wasn't even clear that he knew how to work the equipment required for my facial. The spa did end up giving me a 15% discount, but I felt sick to have paid as much as I did end up paying for what I actually received. Would I stay there again? I don't think it is delivering the 5 star experirence that one can get for the same price at other hotels in nyc.

Stayed 18-23 December. After deliberating over many hotels so glad I chose this one. Everything was amazing and hotel was spotless, brand new and very light and airy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar gorgeous and room service was also very good. Would defo stay here again.

At a cobblestoned intersection in the Tribeca, sits the Hotel Barriere Fouquet's New York, facaded in red brick with an Art-Deco interior designed as if from the South of France. Voila...a beaucoup chic property. I relished in my Deluxe Room which mimicked the aura of a Parisian boudoir with a lavender-focus colour scheme (purple is King here) . With massive windows to better view the surrounding cityscape, the high ceilings elevated the spaciousness of the accomadations. The supersized king bed was slumber endowed...no need to count sheep here. The room was equipped with a bevy of high-tech room appliances ...all conveniences at hand. The massive quilted headboard, striped borders and elaborate curtains added a splash of elaborate elegance to the surroundings. Wall art, bespoke wallpaper, Euro-chandeliers, light wood floors, a desk that I found handy for my office work and a cozy reading nook to consome my latest novel capped off the superbness of the room. The bathroom was marbleized with a rain shower. The Fouquet feature two French inspired dining options. Brasserie Fouquet is the hotel's signature restaurant serving a melange of 'a la Francaise' classics with a New York twist. I couldn't resist the Soupe a Oignon, and Sole Meuniere and for my sweet tooth, the Meillefeuille was spectacular. The presentation of the food at the Brassiere was so captivating that I didn't know whether to just stare at it or eat it...I did break down and eat it. I enjoyed a vegan breakfast at the corollary restaurant: Par Ici Cafe. A chic yet intimate bar, Titsou, dispenses creative cocktail concoctions. Other amenities include a pool, gym as well as the Diane Barriere Spa making this a perfect spot for me recharge and reset. The spa encompassed a cadre of wellness rituals from which I selected the Swedish Massage that revived me from my amassed stressors while xMas shopping in the Big Apple. So, if you want to rendezvous at a Parisian spangeled hotel...........then try the ........ ....Hotel Barriere Fouquet's New York.....Feels Like Paris Without Getting on a Plane.
