Brasserie by Niche St. Louis Reviews from The Last Year
I was in the area for work.
The food was so good that a went back two nights in a row . They have a great outdoor seating area that you almost feel like you're not in downtown St. Louis... Brasserie by Niche is a well-loved French restaurant located at 4580 Laclede Avenue in St. Louis' Central West End. This charming brasserie offers classic French bistro fare, including dishes like onion soup, housemade country pâté, and cassoulet with duck confit. They also have a delightful brunch menu that features items like eggs Benedict and French toast. The restaurant is praised for its warm, inviting atmosphere and excellent service. It's a popular spot for both casual meals and special occasions.
Came in for Sunday brunch.
Made a reservation on open table to be safe but it looked like there wasn't a long wait around 11. There was a guitarist playing on the patio which was a really nice brunch addition. We started off with the sweet beignets to share along with a mimosa and NA sparkling wine. They had several NA cocktails which I love! We both did the egg plat and shared a bruleed grapefruit. Highly recommend the brioche and apple butter! Simple and delicious!
Perfect location in St. Louis
A very interesting alternative to American cuisine for those who are tired of breaded chicken, this typical Parisian brasserie offers excellent cooking, to be recommended without hesitation.
Service by Alexis was excellent.
Pleasant personality, prompt & attentive. The food was decent at best: escargot, goat cheese tart. Frites. paired with the West End High Ball. Nice finger foods & outside seating. Although we didn't indulge, happy hour is available. I arrived expecting TASTE BAR. Well. It's been acquired by Brasserie.

What can you say? Just a top notch spot in the central west end. I have lived here for your fours years and still wonder why I haven't gone sooner. Amazing food, friendly service, and an elegant restaurant perfect for a Friday date night . Enjoyed the French onion soup since it was so highly recommended (delicious and I don't even like soup). The cocktails were strong and tasty. Parking was a little tight as it was the central west end on a Friday night (they do have valet btw) but manageable. A must go to for the Saint Louis restaurant goer
Sunday Brunch with group of friends.
Service was top notch and the Eggs Benedict had the vegetarian option for me. There is also a meat option which includes ham instead of spinach. Portion was decent amount where it was satisfying and just the perfect balance of brioche to spinach and egg ratio. I cannot wait to return for brunch & it is going to be a challenge to decide which menu item to try out next. I may just have to select other friends to join me that is interested in trying portions of different menu items & we can create our own family style where we each divvy up our entrees and make our own sampler off the menu.
We went for a Sunday brunch.
The food was exquisite. They also had a guitarist that was fantastic he played a medley of George Harrison song Beatle songs that was great!
I love the ambience of this beautiful restaurant.
Our server was fantastic and prompt. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone downhill. My favorite salad, the fay was underdressed and had the strangest croutons on it that I've ever eaten. My beef dish was undercooked and too salty. I'm not really a picky eater, butI feel that the quality of the food has slipped. Sad sad to say.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in St Louis, which actually contains a rather surprisingly vibrant and competitive culinary scene. The farm-to-table scene, particularly, in STL has a lot of great options, and Brasserie is at the top of the heap, mixing a very particular style of Breton French cuisine with the traditional desires of the American pallet.

Great food, cool atmosphere and all the staff were really friendly and nice. The carrots were a tad bland is my only criticism.

First time at Brassiere! My friend and I arrived without a reservation. While there was plenty of seating, but the hostess offered us seating at one of the two bars. She didn't ask whether we wanted a table. Her eye contact was poor. We went to the third room's bar to wait for another friend. I really liked this bar. The entire room had minimal lighting and that suits me. The bartenders were friendly and patient with us as we decided which craft cocktails to order. I had a chocolate martini. It tasted like a chocolate orange candy. My 2nd friend arrived and she ordered ordered that cocktail when I made that comment. She also said that the hostess wasn't very friendly (or something like that). At the bar, I ate a mac and cheese which first was only OK because the cheese had settled at the bottom. Once I dipped the macaroni noodles in the cheese at the bottom, yum! I got full, though it was just a side dish, and my friends helped me finish it. I also had a rose cocktail on ice. We realized we didn't like the idea of sitting with three of us at the bar as it is difficult to speak that way. I went to the hostess stand. The hostess listened to me ask to be put on the list for a table, but didn't speak to me. She answered the phone when it rang and didn't talk to me during this interaction. But another employee who was very friendly and helpful put me on the wait list or made a reservation. I returned to the bar to continue enjoying my drinks and we closed our bar tabs. Just after 7:00 we went back to the hostess stand. The hostess again was seemingly not thrilled w/ our presence. The three of us were seated in the second room, at the table closest to the kitchen, though at least 30% of the tables were currently open. A couple of minutes later, the hostess returned and asked to move us to a booth behind us. The booth was in a better spot, so we were pleased. I don't know whether she moved us to be nice to us or because she was putting us in the corner or inconveniencing us. I really don't know what to think of Brassiere. The reason why this was not a five-star experience was because of the way she treated us. I don't know why one person reacted so coolly to us. My friend thinks it's because she was wearing a beanie. It was cold outside and we'd walked from down the block. This shouldn't have mattered to anyone. Another customer wore jeans and he was sitting at a table. It's a nice place, but not a fancy place.
Meh . . .
We came here based on the positive reviews on this site, but we can only review the time we visited. This wasn't a great experience. Maybe it was because we had reservations weeks ahead of time, but still had to wait for a table while we were jostled around in the cramped bar area. Maybe it was the aggressive political sign that a substantial number of patrons won't want to be forced to look at. We came to enjoy a nice dinner together on a Saturday night, not to be force-fed someone else's contentious politics. Maybe it was the just OK service and food. Meh.
Lovely place for brunch
A brunch was lovely. I enjoyed our server and the food was good. We had eggs benedict that came with crispy potatoes. The fruit cup had a nice selection of fresh fruit.
Politics rather than standards.
Poor service throughout visit. Waitress took a long time for everything. Overcrowded, overpriced, and noisy. Undersalted. Posters displayed advocating for murdering children and a popular race-baiting scam group. Babies aren't body parts and women aren't sex objects. All lives matter equally.
Amuse bouche is not to be a priced menu item
My husband and I were considering going; however, after seeing this place charges for the amuse bouche...this is NOT how it works! This is not how the concept was designed. How greedy can this restaurant get?!? So , we're going elsewhere.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
