a really lovely hotel
The lovliest 2 nights away. The weather was awful for our stay but that actually made us relax and enjoy the facilities even more. We had an afternoon in the thermal suite, the girls there are wonderful. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and it was delicious, the second night we ate in the bar and again just delicious. Breakfast too was fantastic. One thing we both noticed is just how friendly and helpful the staff serving the food throughout, they really can't do enough for you, they are so busy but nothing is compromised. Great stay, 100% recommend
It's the little things!
We stayed here last weekend as a large family group to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary - they got married at the this hotel so it was lovely to return for this special occasion. We cannot praise the staff enough for how welcoming they were from our first meal in the bar on Friday, our large get together in the restaurant on Saturday to our goodbye breakfast on Sunday. My parents were treated like VIP guests and a big fuss made of them. The food throughout was plentiful and delicious. We had the best weekend with special thanks to Alison and Gayan for being on hand at all times for us, whether it was a cushion for the older guests chairs or helping carry a bag, they were always there. Food was well below par.
Very disappointed with the food. Gallery restaurant you would expect fab food and fine dining but didn't reach a 2 star let alone a four. The pate starter was inedible either frozen and not thawed or stored at too high temp on fridge and goats cheese salad missing majority of the ingredients as advertised an executive chef? Sending out that food should be ashamed and embarrassed. Staff were a delight which was it's only saving grace.. breakfast was fantastic though.. no complaints there and spa okay.. nothing spectacular.
Excellent Family Getaway
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting - family rooms are spacious and very comfortable, breakfast is worth it on its own and the leisure centre got great use on our trip and was top class - food in library bar was excellent also. A nice touch was the robot waiter - we got a laugh out of them 🤣
Missing the personal touch.
Hi. My friend & I stayed for 1 night B&B . The Food was very nice, even if Prices in The Bar were very expensive, like Desserts €10. Breakfast was excellent, great selection of foods. On arrival , there was no welcoming atmosphere, no chat or interaction with The Reception Staff. First impressions not good. Room was fine, bit dated, but Clean & Comfortable. My friend said Swimming Pool etc was lovely. On arriving for Breakfast we went asked if we had stayed before, or told about various extra offerings etc. On departing, not even Goodbye, Did you enjoy your stay, safe journey Home. We would not return again as we really value the personal touch. Housekeeping Staff were so friendly & professional, lovely to see.
a hotel with very different personalities
A mixed review from us as there were parts of this hotel we really loved, for instance the breakfast was fantastic and the library bar, both very charming in decor and vibe with real personality and the staff in those areas were enthusiastic and interested, very chatty in a nice personal way. The gardens were beautiful. However our bedroom felt very corporate and lacked any kind of the personality or any of the personal touches that you would expect in a country house hotel, same can be said for the reception area where the staff were unwelcoming and uninterested, again just very cold and corporate similar feel to the bedroom. A pity, there are parts that are fantastic but others just soulless.
fantastic breakfast and very family friendly
A fabulous breakfast experience and excellent dining in the bar and restaurant, exceptional quality and service, staff too many to mention but especially Jennifer in the bar, Mia at breakfast and Alison who seems to be everywhere were fantastic. Room was comfortable, decorated nicely, playground on site for kids was a big bonus for wearing them out before bedtime, the leisure club too had a good size pool and very family friendly. We stayed for 3 nights, would 100% recommend for a family break.
A mixed bag although enough was good to make us return.
We bought a bed and breakfast package via the website, it appeared great value for money. The initial greeting at reception although pleasant was not really friendly or indeed helpful or informative, very corporate, I think a change of spiel for older clientele would help. We had to ask about using leisure facilities, ask about evening meal booking etc. Room on the ground floor was clean (apart from dirty plug hole) and comfortable. We put a do not disturb sign on the door and I'm not sure if it was a housekeeping or maintenance chap knocked to come in.... that's really not good enough. Dining and breakfast: staff very friendly, very attentive, food was perfectly cooked, tasty, overall I felt dining was good value for money. Breakfast was very good, helpful staff, great selection of cereals, pastries, fruits, preserves. Sausages were particularly tasty.
This hotel oozes the Irish hospitality we dreamed about
Proceeds to cancel entire Irish vacation just to stay here and eat breakfast!! Fantastic selection, so fresh, the nicest smoked salmon I have ever had...period! Room was good , linen and towels a bit tatty which took away from the premium feel though. Dinner in the bar was delicious, BBQ ribs, con on the cob, so good. A cocktail in the so lovely library overlooking the gardens was perfect. Staff... John, Roisin, Mia, Ann ...... fantastic.... you have all set the bar high for the rest of our Irish stay!
A good hotel that could be a 5/5 with just a little effort
We stayed in this delightful hotel when we were in New Ross on business. A very well appointed hotel with courteous and professional staff. The room was clean and comfortable so no issues there. We ate in the bar one night and the good there was good. Sadly the hotel only opens its restaurant for a couple of evenings at the end of the week. Breakfast was slightly disappointing. The full Irish was nice and other cold options looked good although I wasn't sure what we'd eat ham or smoked salmon with given that on our two mornings there were no rolls out. The major breakfast disappointment was the lack of other hot options. My wife decided to ask for a waffle to be told that they'd "go and see if the chef is prepared to do one". The impression created is that yes there are other hot options but they'd prefer you to concentrate on the full irish Would I stay there again? Yes I would

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
