While making a reservation via phone, we mentioned we'd like something inside as this is a celebration. They mentioned they will add rose pedals as a nice touch which was so nice! As we arrived we were asked if we wanted to sit outside or inside - (we already discussed on the phone it would be inside? and you offered rose pedals lol).. I ignored and as we sat Mitchell forgets to sends us menus and a server double whammy. We finally get a server. The best part of this was the wine introduction. Started off with a delicious french onion soup - that was excellent. We ordered the rib eye & Duck that took a whopping 53 minutes to arrive but hey, as long it taste good we don't mind...However no one came over during that wait period to see if we'd like more drinks. We were so down for at least 2-3 more pours... The entrees arrived finally, cold at first bite. Both entrees were terribly cold. We waited all the time for this? The manager didnt even have the audacity to apologize in person. We had to leave and eat elsewhere-- We highly suggest checking out The Black Sheep "SB Brasserie" nearby. The serve similar foods but better and not cold! The ambiance is excellent and a great list of wine and cocktails. thank me later.

We were going to celebrate a birthday. Everything was perfect, beautiful and astonishing. The service is wonderful.. all the servers are professional, kind and wonderful people. I was so impressed of the decoration and birthday wishes card for my boyfriend. The food was absolutely delicious and beautiful... I really can not express how amazing we were treated, served .... Everything was perfect! Thank you for everything and warm wishes again.. :-))

Loved the outdoor seating...relaxed and friendly. We started with the Mixed Organic Sweet Greens salad and escargot. The salad was refreshing. The escargot was a large number of snails, extremely tender and the garlic was restrained. Totally delicious! We then had steak au poivre. Wow! So tender, and the peppercorn sauce was incredible. Beautifully cooked asparagus and wonderful potatoes au gratin. Portions were generous. Wait staff was attentive, but not annoying. Our courses were perfectly paced. Overall, a wonderful dinner our last night in Santa Barbara. Thank you Bouchon!

We came here for a family dinner recently and we all really enjoyed it. The location and ambience itself is wonderful, and the food is great. We really enjoyed the mushroom ragout and the wagyu ribeye. The staff were really attentive and accommodating as well, and they fixed up an off-menu plate of pasta for our kid.

.. "Thank You"! I recently celebrated my birthday at Bouchon and I cannot remember a more fabulous experience ever. The moment we arrived the greeting was warm and friendly. Nicholas, our server, was attentive and had fantastic suggestions for pairings and dinner selections. The music... ok let's just say the mix of Motown and 70's R&B classics made the evening even more enjoyable. I apologize for my singing! Our champagne, Lauren - Perrier, was the perfect starter and paired well with the Salade Lyonnaise. Please do not sleep on the Warm Pecan & Goat Cheese Tart. "It will change your life" is what the ladies who sat next to us said. They were not incorrect. It was a "pearl clutching experience". The venison & the steak were so well prepared a knife was just a prop. The seasoning on both were excellent. They both are a "must have"! The wine we enjoyed with dinner was absolutely amazing. Adaptation paired well with everything we enjoyed on the menu. Nicholas' suggested as we both enjoy our cabs. The blackberry upside-down cake was a great finish to the meal (it too went well with the wine). From the greet to the music to the food... this is an experience one should have. I plan to have it happen more often.

We decided to try several items and were satisfied with each plate. To start we had their recommended Cabernet and house passion tea. Both were excellent choices. To start we did the scallops trio for two. Glad we shared because it was much more than I anticipated. Each scallop had its own individual setting and flavors. Each one was excellent. For entrees we ordered the filet mignon and duck confit. Each was cooked masterfully. The duck breast was lean and the thighs were shredding meat right off the bone. Excellent pairing with its veggies. The filet mignon was tender and juicy. For dessert, we finished with the molten lava cake. Wow heaven. Happy we choose the spot and would recommend for a nicer date night. Book in advance!

Had over a 6-month advance reservation and was seated in a tight corner table outside under a tent, seated within 12 inches of the host stand. A baby that could not hold its head up was at the table to the left, and a toddler was in a high chair at the next closest table. My sea bass was 1"x2" in size. This Santa Barbara native was not impressed. Will stay loyal to Brophy Bros.

This Bouchon is not the same as Chef Keller's Bouchon. Tri of scallops: AMAZING!!! loved every bite. Duck: cooked perfectly and well executed Venison: I would order it again. I like how it comes on a bed of yummy healthy barley Fish of the day Sea Bass: also well done. I like how the main courses come with heathy sides that are so tasty. Mushroom ragout: sautéed mushrooms with two slices of cheese sandwiches.

An amazing meal at Bouchon! High quality, seasonal ingredients perfectly executed. Attentive, friendly service and elegant yet still cozy ambiance made dining experience really enjoyable. Definitely a higher end restaurant but pricing is very reasonable - I might go as far saying it's a bargain for the level of quality and overall experience Bouchon offers for a nice evening out. While everything was delicious, the standouts were the forest mushroom ragout, steak tartare, steak au poivre... and don't sleep on.. the bread! It's so fresh and warm, and we kept asking for more to sop up all the delicious sauces from the starters and entrees.

What a delight to visit this restaurant while spending a couple days in Santa Barbara. Found this restaurant on Open Table. Food quality, taste, and presentation, were all top notch. The scallop trio was delicious. Especially like the tomato offering. We ordered the lamb and the daily catch. All were prepared exceptionally. I had a food allergy and it was accommodated easily and without incident. We had a local Rose' that was very good. 20 year port was also good. Crème brûlée and lemon cake were top notch. Dominic our waiter was excellent. All service was good and everyone who assisted our table was helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend this restaurant for visitors and locals.

Unfortunately, the cream for our coffee was curdled and crème Brulee not chilled, a bit runny. But we received a lovely card for our anniversary and waiter was kind and informative. The acoustics are great too, soft music and you can hear everyone in your party. We will be back to Bouchon for sure, one of our favorites. $$$$

Overall, we had a great experience at Bouchon! Very attentive waitstaff and good ambience. For our appetizer, we ordered the heirloom carrot salad. This was a bit underseasoned in my opinion. All of the proteins we ordered, the salmon, chicken, and ribeye, were fantastic. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. For dessert, we had the lemon cake and chocolate lava cake. They were divine!

The wine selection is large, many offered by the glass, and the servers' recommendations are informed and valuable. This has been our special occasion restaurant for me and my husband for decades now. They sprinkle rose petals on our table in the small area called "Lovers' Lane."Just superb!

I still sometimes think on that goat cheese tart that we had. Amazinggggg. Will say that the first time we went there, we asked for water and they came back with something like evian in a glass bottle. We were like weird, but thought that was the only kind of water they had. Of course, the bill for the water was something ridiculous. And of course there's regular water.So yeah, bouchon is bougie. But the food is real. And if stupidly overpriced water is not your thing, make sure you say so.

We celebrated my birthday and Valentine's Day for dinner at Bouchon. When we were shown to our table, it was sprinkled with rose pedals and a birthday card, a very nice touch! We sat inside, which had a nice romantic vibe. The outdoor seating looked inviting as well. The service was professional and pleasant but included some hit and miss recommendations, personal preferences vary. The food quality was very good and the presentation was gorgeous. I highly recommend the French onion soup, Scallop Trio, and the Wagyu Ribeye. Im interested in trying the duck next time, apparently its remained on the menu for over 20 years. Our date experience was very enjoyable.

Visiting Santa Barbara for the day from Los Angeles so we really wanted a nice dinner before heading back home. We are both really happy that we chose Bouchon. The inside is done well with low lighting and a great view of the kitchen. Our server Morgan also did a great job and was very attentive. Parking in the area was also pretty easy, especially compared to where we are from. They have a lot of great drink and food options on the menu so it took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat.Started with the French Onion Soup and it was great. It really hit the spot on a cold winter night. Next for my entrée I chose the Grilled Center-Cut American Wagyu Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and delicious. We would've ordered dessert too but we had to drive back home after dinner so next time we will definitely order one of them. I would certainly recommend to any fan of a good dinner or to anyone visiting or living in Santa Barbara.

Restaurant was fully booked on new years eve but fortunately we were able to get a table due to last minute cancellation. We sat outside in their makeshift patio which was decorated for the festivities and well heated. The service and ambience was phenomenal and the food was delicious. Will definitely visit again next time in town.

This restaurant is in a blood feud with Thomas Keller over the name, there is no relationships between Thomas Keller and this restaurant. This restaurant deserves to be as famous though and it's a shame it isn't more well known. One of the best restaurants in Santa Barbra and THE best service.

Great service from the hostess, our server was very nice, knowledgeable. We've been to different restaurants by the same owner including the bouchon in Napa. In general we liked our meal but was very disappointed with the onion soup. I ordered it because it is one of my favorite and it is featured on their page. It looked burned, where is the cheese? The soup tasted watered down and no flavor. This looks like the frozen onion soup I get from trader Joe, even that has better flavor. The scallops trio was very good, the duck and venison were good to, definitely recommend these other dishes.
