Worth it’s Star !
Food is very fresh, presented in unique ways and very delicious. Will definitely recommend to friends and if occasion arises, will revisit again.

Excellent little spot hidden in Mandarin Gallery. Chef is always in the open plan kitchen so you can see him at work. Exquisite little touches to delicious courses.. the French -Japanese fusion is superb. A well deserved Michelin star.
Be the first to ReplyFelt like a private dinner (with super friendly staff)
We were the only ones at the "kitchen counter" (can seat 8) on a weeknight, and had a simply smashing evening! Every bite of food was sublime and the wine pairings were spot on. In a first ever, the sommelier gave us a choice of white wines to pair with the lobster/white asparagus course, and then allowed us to taste both before deciding. The staff were very engaging and easy going - not stuffy as some starred restaurants can be. Yes, it was very pricey, but if we lived here, we'd definitely be repeat customers! We try to dine at fine dining restaurants wherever we are in the world (Lima, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Kuala Lumpur) and béni will be one of our favorite memories.
Be the first to ReplyPure joy
This place is pure joy. You will leave very full and very happy. The food is amazing and the service is absolutely stunning. I sat on a table where I could see them cook the food and you can see they were very particular , to perfection. Yes it’s expensive but you will not experience something like this in your life. I ate the 7 courses and every meal was stunning and it was like I was in heaven
Be the first to ReplyNot worth a star
good things come first, their first dish is a good one, the freshness from urchin and caviar well mix with vegetables. Also their mushroom + abalone soup is also a good one, its presentation is also stunning as the soup itself. What make me to leave a 2star review are their instability in delivering high quality, and their response to it. One of their dishes is fresh oyster served with eel. It may be very dependent on people taste, but I found my oysters were not fresh at all. It could be an one off case, as later i found my girlfriend’s one is tasting fine. However, the worst part is all the eel fish on my plate have fish bone in it, and one even stuck out of the meat. This eel isn’t served as one big piece or as one whole fish, which both are common to have a few bones in it. This is served as a delicate and finely-cut cube, which I believe everyone would expect there shouldnt be bones in it, let alone sticking out. I was disappointed at the time, and reported that to their waiter in a peaceful manner. I had no intention to fuss around at then as it could just be a careless mistake. But the response I got is outrageous. I was told because it’s an eel, bone is expected to be in it. So, my understanding from them is why should I complain about it as fish always has bones. It might sounds fair, but as said it is a delicate and finely cut cube where removing bone should be part of the process and chef should make every possible effort to make sure of it. I cannot accept it is not seen as an oversight and i’m even more disappointed the chef and waiter thought it is ok. The other dish (the so-called signature scallop), as a Michelin star restaurant, how can you not clean the plate before serving, leaving some oil drops splashing around it. It totally affected my dining experience. throughout the evening, i have also witnessed waiter reminded their chef they have ingredients missed to include in their dishes. If your restaurant is serving in an open kitchen style, this is basically a disaster to see. The restaurant has prided themselves to be continuously Michelin starred. If this is the standard Michelin wants to demonstrate, I am deeply concerned.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service
The staff explains every dish and serve well. My wife and me had a good surprise with a well decorated dessert to end our wedding anniversary.
Be the first to ReplyLunch
Tried the Lunch Experience with my girlfriend and it was amazing from start till end. Server was extremely professional and friendly. He offered us a wine flight wherby we can taste two wines first before we decide on the one we want to get. The food was top notch and attention to details amazed us. Chef Kenji was kind enough to take a photo with us. We will be back to try the other delicacies.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent creativity and taste of fine dining
Very creative dishes and taste buds are rewarded with exquisite 8-course dinner. Did not have wine pairing but Sake was equally good with the food. It is high quality and rather high price dinner, meant to leave an impression. Customers have to show appreciation and respect for the chef, instead of having some who are just spending the dollar just because one can afford to. It spoils the ambience and enjoyment when you are seated next to couple who talks loud and apparently have little idea of what they are eating or drinking.
Be the first to ReplyGood experience with little comments
We enjoyed the whole dinning experience however a little advise on the last Maine dish beef. I would prefer a thicker piece instead of three thin pieces. The air con blow directly above even with hot plates the thin slice gets cold in just 1 mins.
Be the first to ReplyAn Outstanding Experience!
The benefit of a chef owner establishment is here to see. A one star Michellin chef who in different premises would clearly be a two star chef. The finest combination of a Japanese Chef who is trained by some of the best in France. We sat in the small dining room but the counter is equally appealing. The restaurant wasnt busy when we went but the staff were calm, friendly, and engaged and imagine would be the same if full. The menu and the food were beautifully balanced with flavour, texture, colour and imagination taking French dishes into Japanese territory. eg The signature cold mushroom soup on a bed of Chawan mushi- simply devine and perfectly executed. The cote de veau, was melt in the mouth probably from the sous vide but amazing quality and flavour served with a multitude of seasonal vegetables and black truffle. The Japanese scallop with cream sauce leaves you screaming for more! and so on and so on. Wine is paired if you want it. I dont usually like pairings but Beni do it well. Restaurants like this must be supported and cannot wait to come back to Singapore to visit again.
Be the first to ReplySaturday Lunch at Béni
Sat at the table next to the window, was quiet and intimate, highly recommend this but the counter seating looked great as well with the kitchen in full view. Had the Saturday lunch menu and every course did not disappoint, would definitely come back to try the dinner menu or after the next seasonal change. Service was top-notch as well, attentive but not intrusive and really appreciate the effort of the restaurant’s team!
Be the first to ReplyBest Restaurant I have been to in Singapore
The food was great and the presentation was excellent. We had a private room in the restaurant that was not expected.
Be the first to ReplyMemorable
Imaginative food, excellent service, incredible value. We were well taken care of including the generous wine pours.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food missing the final touch - service
Food is great but service is lacking, staff not knowledgeable of what is served, not high end service quality
Be the first to ReplyBeni
We had a wonderful time with attentive service, delicious food and a relaxing, calm space.
Chef is excellent.
When 2 esteemed cuisines come together this beautifully, the outcome is pure paradise !
Chef and the team at Beni have done a funtastic job of creating this French/Japanese fusion menu. Every dish in the course menu was a full if beautiful flavors and artistically put together. From the appetiser to the last dessert, loved every bit of it. The team took time to explain each dish and service was impeccable. A special occassion place and will be back !
Be the first to ReplyFood were bland and tasteless. Service was great though.
Got the 7 course plus omni beef for lunch. The beef was tasteless, no salt at all. $20 steaks tasted better. What is worse is that it had a large chunk of fat that tasted very disgusting. Dessert was good though.
Be the first to ReplySpecial Japanese reinterpretation of authentic French cuisine
I was surprised to be able to enjoy such a Japanese reinterpretation of authentic French cuisine in Singapore.
Every dish in the course was exquisite and beautiful.
The seafood dishes were especially creative and delicious, and I could feel the Japanese chef's original sense.
We ordered five glasses of wine for pairing, and all of them matched the food well.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is stylish and relaxing.
On the other hand, the outside of the restaurant is a fairly casual area, so I felt a bit of a gap.
Good experience but short of the Michelin Star touch
Food quality and presentation is Michelin Star standard, imho (was told they are awarded for 2021 as well by one of the service staff)
Taste wise is subjective
Service staff needs to be better trained
Casual Outing…
Food was excellent…their pairings @$168 a head was just about a joke! They really had some bad & cheap wines as part of pairing…not thoughtful…equivalent other 1 star Michelin has a superb pairing experience at more or less the same price!
Be the first to ReplyI won't visit this place again! Utterly disappointed
I was impressed when I went for my anniversary dinner on July 2021 so when my bestie wanted to celebrate her anniversary, I suggested Beni and we went along with them on August 2021. On that day, there are only 4 of us. I am not sure if is because only few of us, thus the main chef only appeared when we're having our desserts. This chef never bother to come forward and ask how's the food?
I showed them the fish is not completely cooked, the server told the assistant chef, and took the dish back inside. I am utterly disappointed that the assistant chef / main chef (when he appear later) did not apologize or prepare another dish for me or even out of courtesy, they can give a discount since everything was prepared in advanced.
We told our friends that the food was very yummy but I am so embarrassed when we left the restaurant. Food was not impressive (very salty) and service was bad for 1* michelin star restaurant, not worth to spend it!
Amazing fine dining
We went for our wedding anniversary dinner. Every dish was beautiful and delicious. This is our favourite fine dining in Singapore so far!
Be the first to ReplyWhen you want the best
Beni is our favorite restaurant in Singapore but also ranks with the several 3 star Michellin restaurants I have eaten at in France. The food was stunningly presented and often contained unusual ingredients of the highest quality. The extensive series of courses was a culinary adventure, all delicious. My wife and I had a Saturday afternoon lunch and shared the 4 glass fleet of wines, each exquisite in its own way. The pairing of sake with truffled sweet breads was brilliant. The Pinot Noir from Spain could easily have passed for a delicious Burgundy.
The service overall was excellent. Lawrence, our waiter, was gracious and generous with the wine. His knowledge of the wines and ingredients greatly enhanced our dining experience.
Beni is an incredible value and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
5 course menu feels like appetizers only
The appetizers for this set menu was too weak. At first we thought it was canape or amuse but it was really the first course. The signature cold mushroom soup is just okay can improve the dish. What i notice is from first course to third course is all cold until you reach main course. I dont find any balance here. Main course lobster and dessert was good great execution and flavour. But you are not filled or satisfied after. Overall experience 2.5/5 the
