Superb Food and Service
We met our friends for lunch today at Bibi. First time visit for us. Chose the Chefs selection lunch menu that was a list of dishes we had never heard of! Each one was described in detail when it arrived and the service was efficient and friendly. But the flavour of every single dish was just superb. Each one had its own flavour and they were all different. I’ve eaten Indian food in many restaurants but none of them are as good as this. I couldn’t pick a favourite because they were all so delicious. The only thing to be aware of is the price of the drinks which practically doubled the price of the bill. Would definitely recommend but have less drinks next time! Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyBibi visit for girlfriend birthday
I recently went to Bibi for my girlfriends birthday. We both took the tasting menu, with my partner being vegetarian and gluten free (which was catered for seamlessly throughout). Each course was explained, story and origin of the food which was really insightful behind the thought process, what was personal and what was on the menu for it’s seasonal availability. Menu highlights included the beetroot croustade as part of the ‘snacks’ which was an incredibly balanced, crunchy and punchy mouthful. The roast monkfish (or celeriac) with green chilli - which was a real light, acidic dish which felt incredibly fresh. The ex-dairy goat galouti was unlike anything I have had prior. An unexpected texture, and for me, the most recognisably ‘Indian’ in its spicing. It was incredible. Each course got better than the last really and had a great profession. Bibi is an intimate setting, with around 40 seats in the restaurant. You can people watch as most around you will be 1 course either side as you, creating a shared experience throughout. The music is great, ambience is great and there is a wonderful energy within. I would recommend anyone to go and enjoy Bibi.
Be the first to ReplyABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND FOOD
absolutely amazing experience and food, well worth the price- this is one of those MUST experience restaurants. we are fortunate to have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world, and this is one of those! top quality food, impeccable service, and a team that cannot do enough for you- brilliant.
Be the first to ReplyAn absolute must!
An amazing experience, the food was outstanding, the vibe, the service, there was not a single thing you could fault! We had the Chefs choice lunch menu and would highly recommend. We had wanted to come here since seeing it on Master Chef and it even exceeded our expectations. Worth every penny. Thank you!

Outstanding restaurant. My wife and I are fortunate to eat at some incredible restaurants with numerous Michelin stars. I say that as this is exactly what this restaurant deserves. Front of house staff are attentive without being over bearing, they totally make the atmosphere, whilst professional they allow their personalities to shine, chatty and helpful quite possibly the best I’ve ever experienced. We were lucky to be seated at the bar and watch the chefs and team create the food. They interacted and explained they were polite and friendly whilst also running the pass. The food from the mushroom chai, through the papad and scallops was incredible, possibly the lightest bread I’ve ever encountered and onto the fish, the best monkfish period followed by lamb and other dishes into the main event. Delicate, unctuous chicken with the greatest dhal and oh my the carrot chutney. I don’t always write reviews as they are what you expect, lots of restaurants don’t need more good reviews and what else can be said, however for bibi I make an exception. If you enjoy your spice, want to be taken on a culinary journey that is about the food and don’t need floating pillows, or ear plugs to engage in that sensory journey I highly recommend bibi. Quite possibly the greatest meal and I mean every course I’ve ever been fortunate to enjoy. So much so we are returning and that’s al 200 odd mile round trip. Fabulous.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Indian flavors!
We enjoyed a small tasting menu for lunch. The flavors burst! The colors of the sauces rivaled paintings. Sitting at the bar and watching the chefs was fun.
Be the first to ReplyGood but DON'T take an early sitting or you will be made to feel very uncomfortable/rushed by them!
Have been about 4 times now and do really like this place BUT last time made the mistake of taking an earlier booking time (6pm on a Saturday) and, as many of the other low score reviews say, we felt so rushed! They were bringing the next course when we'd barely started the last one and then before we knew it (and before we'd asked to pay) were standing at our table with a credit card machine. REALLY POOR SERVICE for such an expensive place. I suspect it's because they have so little space but they need to learn that putting profit above experience will quickly come back to bite them as I certainly wouldn't as quick to recommend or go back as I used to be after this terrible experience last time!
Be the first to ReplyBiBi is a must for any serious foodie!
This restaurant creates elevated Indian cuisine with flavors and unique preparations that are nothing short of amazing. This place is a true foodies paradise that is guaranteed to surprise and inspire you. Make sure you reserve seats at the chefs counter where you can watch the magic happen.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and great service
The food was excellent !!! The restaurant is beautiful and the service was absolutely amazing! Nabil has so much knowledge about the menu and the sustainability program of the restaurant. He was so professional and really is a great value to the restaurant. The other members of staff were great as well. I have nothing negative to mention. It was perfect from the beginning to the end! Thank you Chef and Nabil for this gorgeous experience.

Amazing lunch today. Back for the second time. How has this place not got a Michelin star yet?!? I am certainly echoing the general consensus of the room when I say this. The food was absolutely exquisite. The lamb barra kebab was the best I’ve ever had. However, once again the standout dish was Sharmaji’s Lahore chicken. I could eat this by the bucket and though we didn’t get to meet Chef Sharma this time, I have agreed with the chefs present that they will consider serving this by the bucket in order for me to return on a weekly basis! The Monsoon martini was sensational as was the BiBi version of an espresso martini. Wine pairings very well thought out. Overall, a special experience. The general manager was wonderful to interact with and an asset to the restaurant. We will be back soon.

This restaurant takes all the boxes for me, the food was exceptional, the ambience was relaxing, informal, and the service simply delivered everything you needed, in a friendly and efficient way
Be the first to ReplyTakes Indian food to a different level
This is not quite a perfect restaurant - whoever thought the music played at lunch assisted the atmosphere really needs a close encounter with the tandoor - but it was certainly the best Indian meal I have enjoyed, and if it doesn't have a Michelin star soon the tyre man has no idea what he's at. Three of us went with the chef's selection at £95 a head (plus £35 for an extra lobster course) and were rewarded with perhaps twelve or thirteen small plates, most to share. Ingredients were marvellous, with a lot of seafood - an oyster shell filled with marinated oyster and stone bass with a rhubarb jelly was one highlight; another was a tiny goat kebab with flatbread and marinated red onion. Flavours, techniques and spicing were all distinctive and almost all both exciting and perfectly judged. We ignored the suggestion of a wine flight at £65 a head and instead started with beer - a cloudy, citrusy IPA which went perfectly with the first few dishes, a Dom. Marcel Deiss Gewurztraminer 2018 similarly perfect with the halibut and the lobster dishes, a Spatburgunder 2018 working well with the meat and a Dom. de Rancy Rivesaltes Ambre 1992 with the puddings. The bill was £632 for three - lunch and dinner would cost about the same, I guess - but it should be possible to spend a fair bit less and still have a wonderful meal.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect balance between authentic and fine dining
This restaurants really does occupy a position between authentic Indian and modern fine dining. We visited in the evening and were sat at the counter. (I urge you to do this if your group is not too big. It really adds to the experience). In the evening it’s a chefs special selection menu (you can have a pescatarian or vegetarian version). The courses throughout were exceptionally well put together. You could happily just sit and eat the snack selection it’s that good but lots to follow. The spicing throughout the meal was exceptional and when you get into the main part of the menu pretty much everything is cooked on the open grill (sigree). Outstanding. We opted for the extra lamb course as a supplement which was stunning but I must confess I did struggle to eat the meat courses that followed (I managed). The staff were amazing throughout. Attentive and great fun especially our Spanish/Brazilian sommelier. We had the wine pairing and it was very good with some nice stories behind the selection. On top of everything I think the price is really good for Mayfair especially given the experience you get.

I contacted the establishment regarding giftcard and received a reply promptly. It was for my niece to use during her stay in London. She had a fabulous dining experience and said the dishes were incredible. She also commented on the beautiful decor and how helpful the staff was in providing food recommendations. I can't wait to visit and try this place for myself!

Spectacular, honestly could not fault the fabulous flavours and the delightful service. The staff were great fun and did everything to make our lunch perfect
Be the first to ReplyA new favourite
This was our best meal in a recent trip to London. The space is compact, with only a few tables and space at the counter but we were very comfortable sitting at the bar. There are two menus in the evening, one slightly shorter than the other. Atmosphere is cool and informal, very relaxed, and the cooking is fantastic. I am not a fan of dinning with loud music but somewhat here it worked. We will be back!
Be the first to ReplyNot impressive at all
Very tight place and very low level service. Lack of sophistication in the front of the house. Good food but not very delicious. Felt too overdone without much flavour except for the chicken. Price point is 300 pounds a head for tasting and pairing. Meh
Be the first to ReplyMust visit - better than dishoom
Mind blowing food. Everything was perfect — the food, the service and the ambience. One of the best Indian restaurants in London for me.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, innovative cuisine
We loved BiBi. We’ve eaten at many many Michelin star restaurants, but never had Indian fine dining. The tasting menu was fantastic. Innovative and also lighter and fresher than I expected. The scallops were lovely, but the chicken was definitely my favourite - tender, and the two sauces bringing richness and acidity, working well together. The wine pairing was great too, and we loved how the chef recommended us pouring a little wine into the sauce of the halibut. It really transformed the sauce.

I eat out at Indian restaurants frequently so have a high level of expectation. Sitting at the counter was a pleasant experience and the a la carte lunch offering read well. Unfortunately ,despite the restaurant being only two thirds full, the service was clunky. We waited a seemingly unnecessary amount of time for both drinks and food. The staff were very friendly. In retrospect, I wish we had ordered the selection menu, the £75 offering would have been better value and similar quantities, compared to the £300+ bill (1 bottle of Pinot Grigio, 1 glass of Crémant de Limoux). The Lahori Chicken was exceptional. Bibi is less impressive than, for example, Gymkhana, where our lunch bill was much lower.
Be the first to ReplyException Indian food, exquisite staff
Simply outstanding food and service.
Food is off a £85 set menu, made up of many small plate dishes with Indian twists on all.
It’s not hot spicy food, its intense spice flavoured, so you get rich Indian flavours without the heat
Staff are excellent, attentive, friendly, quick to respond, they’ve clearly been trained to be there, but not be seen. Which is refreshing as some restaurants feel like to staff don’t leave you alone.
Worth a visit just once ! Looks to be overcrowded with staff, tight space, kitchen staff excellent show and friendly.
Was an experience, nice place in Mayfair, pricey night out. Twist on Indian food. Main course vg but starters and desserts ok. Not a warm welcome tonight from some staff! Rude on phones a didn’t even open door!
Overall 7/10
Out of this world
Fabulous food, great Indian flavours using mainly British ingredients and some Indian like the Paneer which was incredible. Very Exciting flavours and combinations which I have not had in London before. Raw scallops, steak tartare, beef sirloin, all taken to another level with the use of Indian herbs and spices.
Having sat at both the counter and the tables I found the tables much more comfortable. Pretty decor too. Lovely cocktails
Outstanding
A gem, that will no doubt get Michelin recognition in near future. We sat at the kitchen counter which makes for a real relaxed experience. Our waiter was impeccable, faultlessly attentive, yet in no way intrusive. We went for the chefs selection which ticks all the boxes in terms of flavour, presentation and sufficiency. Overall it is a brilliant restaurant which I look forward to returning to on our next visit to London

We ate today as part of the Amex jubilee restaurant festival, and were absolutely delighted with our lunch. We were seated at the counter, and could see the time and effort being put into preparing every course. The food was exceptional, certainly not your ordinary Indian cuisine, and the service excellent. Chet Sharma the chef was lovely and his team very impressive. We will certainly return next time we are in the neighbourhood. Thank you for such a memorable meal!
