Bevri Palo Alto Reviews from The Last Year
So gooooood!
Just as great as the Los Altos location, if not better. This location has a little more of the TO BE SEEN vibe and is definitely great for people watching (in the middle of University Avenue). Food and service just as good. A must and what they are known for is the Khachapuri Adjaruli; the description says it all. Also, a must is the Georgian Salad; I know, it’s just cucumbers and tomatoes but the dressing is spot on! No hard liquor but they do offer wine, beer and mimosas. Parking can be tricky; try the side streets. Will definitely be back…….
This place is super overrated.
The service was ok, and the food was not great. The portions are quite small for the price paid. The khinkali were decent (probably the best dish out of everything we ordered), but khachapuri was not tasty at all. It felt like the bread was a bit over cooked. On top of that - the mandatory tips of 20% (sat whaaat?!) are just offensive at this point. We normally leave good tips, but when you are FORCED to leave 20% for the mediocre experience it honestly just doesn't feel right.
Cheesy Bread and Dumplings are Fire
What a fabulous lunch I had at Bevri. The service was outstanding. Everything was very clean. The food was outstanding. It was my first time eating Georgian food and I was not disappointed. The egg and cheese bread hit the spot. I also had the pork dumplings. I totally recommend eating here if in the area.
Bevri Palo Alto is a must-try for anyone looking for
Bevri Palo Alto is a must-try for anyone looking for delicious Georgian cuisine. Their khachapuri, made fresh in the wood burning oven, is an absolute star. The airy dough is perfectly golden brown and the cheese filling is incredibly gooey and flavorful. It's the kind of dish that you'll want to order again and again. Don't forget to pair it with a glass of Georgian wine for a truly authentic experience.
Last Saturday, our quest for a culinary adventure led us to
Last Saturday, our quest for a culinary adventure led us to Bevri, a Georgian gem tucked away in Palo Alto. Initially set on a different restaurant, we serendipitously stumbled upon Bevri due to the bustling crowds elsewhere. And oh, what a delightful detour it turned out to be! Stepping into Bevri, we were greeted with warmth and an enticing aroma that hinted at the gastronomic journey ahead. As newcomers to Georgian cuisine, we found ourselves at a loss for what to order. Thankfully, Google reviews came to the rescue, guiding us towards an unforgettable dining experience. We embarked on our journey with the Pkhali Sampler, a delightful assortment of flavors and textures that served as a perfect introduction to Georgian cuisine. The Makhalova, KhachaPuri Adjaruli, adorned with the restaurant's emblem, not only pleased the palate but also dazzled with its elegant presentation. Our taste buds danced with delight as we savored the Ajapsandali and Khachapuri Shampurze, each dish embodying the essence of Georgian culinary tradition. Every bite was a symphony of flavors, a harmonious blend of spices and ingredients that left us craving for more. And then came the dessert. The winter Pear, a sweet finale to our meal, was nothing short of perfection. Its luscious sweetness and delicate texture elevated our dining experience to new heights, leaving us utterly enchanted. Despite the bustling ambiance, luck was on our side as we secured a table within a mere 15 minutes. The restaurant's popularity is a testament to its excellence, and Bevri certainly lives up to the hype. In conclusion, Bevri is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Georgian cuisine in Palo Alto. From impeccable service to unforgettable flavors, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in the culinary delights that Bevri has to offer.

Came on a Saturday night and was able to be seated right
Came on a Saturday night and was able to be seated right away. The service was good and the ambiance is nice but the mandatory 20% gratuity for any size party was a little steep. We ordered the pkhali sampler, khachapuri adjaruli, and chicken kebab with the Orgo wine. The wine was amazing, so rich and full without being bitter. It paired with the food so well. The food was good but the portions were small for the price. The star of the show for me was the khachapuri - I've had it before at markets but this was so good. Surprisingly big and the hot eggy cheese with the bread was fantastic.
Poor service Mandatory 20% tip We asked the plate sizes
Poor service Mandatory 20% tip We asked the plate sizes but the server guided us ordered way more than we need.
Overrated! 20% mandatory gratuity for any group size for
Overrated! 20% mandatory gratuity for any group size for average food and ambience. Pkhali sampler was the only item that we liked. The so called famous Khachapuri Adjaruli was disappointing to say the least, not for me. We were excited for lamb dumplings Khinkhali but they weren't really juicy and lacked flavour. Only highlight is that the place has Georgian cuisine otherwise the expensive for the quality and service.
I love Georgian food and this restaurant is a must try,
I love Georgian food and this restaurant is a must try, especially it you are looking for khachapuri and khinkali. This food has a lot of cheese, meat and really delicious dough! It is quite pricey plus 20% gratuity is already included to the bill but at the same time it is very authentic and fresh. Location is great - it's in the middle of downtown Palo Alto among other great restaurants. Street parking is limited but there is a parking garage next by.
Very expensive for the portions.
We had visited the Los Altos location and had a great experience. This time we ordered the following: Georgian sparkling water - Very heavy, lots of salt and minerals. Couldn't even drink it, I wouldn't recommend it, you're better off with tap water. If you'd like to try something typical, I'd say opt for one of their Georgian sodas instead. Soup Kharcho: My friend enjoyed it quite a lot, they said it was delicious. Khachapuri adjaruli - I'd say it's a must. This is what I think of when you say "Georgian food". Quite filling, I suggest you get one to share if you're planning on eating anything else. Chicken Mtsvadi - Incredible!!! Loved everything about this dish, however portion again was very small. We shared (or tried to share) this dish, but I suspect that it wouldn't have been enough for just one person. Chocolate Lava cake - Tasty but very very tiny, definitely not worth it. For $18 it is an extremely small portion and there's nothing special to it, it is at best a personal serving.
I had the flattened cornish chicken (not game hen) and it
I had the flattened cornish chicken (not game hen) and it was a little difficult to eat. I wasn't sure if I should use a knife and fork or go caveman and use my hands. There wasn't much meat and rather boney. The circular pieces of bread were good like mini pizza dough. We got an appetizer salad and instead of romaine or iceberg lettuce they used rosemary leaves which was a little different. Wine was good. Apparently, there is a wine region in Georgia.
Possibly one of the best restaurants I've dined at......
Was looking for a new place to try for our GNO, and came across Bevri. There is a location in Palo Alto, but the location in Los Altos was much closer to us. I have to say, anything and everything about this restaurant was great. The food was amazing, the quality and quantity great, the service was pretty darn good. Upon arrival, they were packed inside and out, but we were seated immediately; I like when a place understand the concept of ‘reservations’. We sat inside where tables are nicely spaced out. They have a full bar, but we opted to cork our own wine; corkage is $35 a bottle. The food is soooo good, and since I didn’t order (friend ordered for the table to share family style), I have no idea what each item is called, but it looks as good as it tastes, just show the waiter my photos. EVERYTHING we had was DELISH. The dumplings are huge so don’t order too many at once; can add on if you need to. There is also a cheesy bread thing; you HAVE to get that. I haven’t had good food like this in a long time. And the service was sooo great. And honestly, it wasn’t a pricy meal at all. Two apps, three entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine between four girls cost us each $55 after tax and tip. Not bad if you ask me. We found parking pretty easily bc we got lucky someone was pulling out as we arrived to the strip. But I’d definitely allow some time to find parking as it looks like it can be pretty busy.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
