This was my first time at Benihana and I'm so happy we went.
Reservations were pretty easy to get and I highly recommend doing so as it gets busy. We sat at the bar and got some drinks while we waited for our table. The hostess was so sweet and chatted with me a while and made me feel welcomed. We got sat relatively quick and we're seated with strangers but that adds to the fun! Staff was very informative and helpful and made the whole experience amazing. I got the spicy chicken option (fried rice is an upsell if you choose you don't want to pay more just stick with white). I'd recommend

If you wanna get entertained, while dining, come and eat here. Place is always busy on weekends that why getting a reservation is a must. The manager Marvin is on top of everything. Visiting tables and conversing with guests, making sure everything is perfect!!!
Be the first to ReplyI usually have Beni's often.
I had a friend in town so we booked to eat there. This was the worst experience I've ever had. First we were very hungry so we decided to eat at the tables at bar instead of the hibachi grill . We ordered the 5 course The soup came (it's usually a hot miso soup) this soup was a mushroom soup that was watered down no flavor and it was Barely warm The server who was the bartender also, took it back and brought out the miso Then stated He didn't know what was going on the cook was new and have been messing up all day. (You do not down play any member of your work team especially in a restaurant) So I ordered Shrimp fried rice no eggs. No onion with my veggie appetizer. It's ok in the rice WELL I'm allergic to chicken and guess what comes out .... Chicken friend rice. Ok so I send it back and wait My guest is eating and just about done They bring my food out and now it's just plain rice .. OMG. Get the manager ! Manager comes and say well what you want me to do ??! Whaaaat I normally would have cancelled the whole meal but I understand Inventory cost (I'm a previous restaurant owner) so I just asked them to correct the order and pack it to go .. my guest is now complete done . So we waited and finally after 15-20 mins it's comes out. I'm furious because they were quick to send the bill with no accommodation Not that I was looking for it but it's courtesy to take care of your guest when there is a big problem. What if I ate the rice and had an allergic reaction? There wasn't even an apology just "well what do you want me to do" lol It's crazy cause I've eaten at the bar tables at lunch time several times. But this was the worst.
Be the first to ReplyMy son and I came here for dinner on a Saturday.
We had reservations for 7pm and were seated promptly. Chef Derek was amazing - food was cooked perfectly (Chateaubriand was medium rare), flavor was on point and food was not dry. Server was nice, friendly and checked on us regularly. Located at the Fashion Show Mall - ambiance is different (more casual) than the location at Westgate casino. Price is the same as other Benihana locations. Would return here.

Some friends and I were visiting from Miami and the team here at Benihanas made us feel super welcomed. The ambiance was nice and didn't have a long wait to be seated. Our Chef for the evening named Edgar was engaging and super delicate when he prepared our meal. My friend had some allergies and he went above and beyond to make sure we were all satisfied. The food was well portioned and truly flavorful. Management and other team members even came and sang Happy Birthday to our table. It was such a memorable dining experience!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a fun interactive place and the service was great.
This is a place I'd say the food doesn't quite match the prices.

Visited Vegas and wanted to take the kids to Benihana for the first time. We were lucky enough to have Chef Tony with a Ratatouille toy on his shoulder. He had the best jokes, entertaining, food tasted awesome of course and he had club lights for the table too! The kids had so much fun and I've been to different Benihanas in California, Chef Tony was the best!
Be the first to ReplyOnce upon a time in Las Vegas, this location was the most
Once upon a time in Las Vegas, this location was the most glamorous Teppanyaki restaurant in town. Although much has changed in the city, this spot remains the largest Benihana and retains its old charm. The staff are both hardworking and humble. I highly recommend the five-course Tofu dinner ($29) or the Teriyaki dinner ($35), which truly are the best deals in Las Vegas. On my visit last Friday night, the value was unbeatable--equivalent to dining experiences at high-end places like Morimoto or Nobu, but at less than $150 excluding tip. Plus, with a Westgate players card, they offered an additional 20% off. It felt only right to leave a $50 tip. I live nearby and definitely plan to frequent this restaurant more often. Despite not having a reservation, the hostess promised just a 10-15 minute wait, but I was seated in less than five minutes. These folks are delivering a Strip-level dining experience at a fraction of the cost. They truly deserve every penny they earn--and more!

This place could have been an easy 5 stars but my experience at the bar was not good! As I waited for my party to arrive my wife and I decided to go to the bar to have a drink! We sat there for a good 6 minutes! There was 2 bartenders making drinks for the restaurant and for the customers at the bar already! We waited no acknowledgment or anything as both were making drinks and walking past! Granted it's super busy I definitely get that! As soon as this white couple sat down no more than 1 minute one of them said that they will be with them and they apologized for the wait! What wait they literally just sat down! Automatically I felt a way because in today's society places act like white dollars are more valuable than any others! One of the ladies talk to them and asked if they were ready to order(white lady) so the other lady with dark brown hair proceeds to us and ask if we were ready to order! I told her I thought they thought that we were invisible considering that they were trying to take the other couples order first! She said no she knew we were sitting there! Wow I couldn't believe that! I got up went to ask for the manager tall white bald guy I tells him what happened and he tells me that he's sure that's not the real reason and some other gibberish so he was gaslighting me! He then apologized and ask me did I still want a drink! I am not new to dealing with people and going out! I knew exactly what it was! He asked me did I want a drink and I said yes so he sat me back down at the bar and I got my drink! I wanted to leave and take my family somewhere else but it was my birthday dinner and I didn't want to make a big deal about it but I also know what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong! After that whole thing my family and I went to the back for our table! Damien and the other guy were both awesome! Damien and the host Ling-Ling(Diana) definitely saved the night because that definitely left a bad taste in my mouth about the bar situation! If I do come back I'll just wait for a table never going back to the bar! The vibe was good! Clean restrooms and clean restaurant! Aside from the bar everyone else was great
Be the first to ReplyWorst experience eva! The manager is totally inept & rude.
We made reservations for my son's 40th B'day & made the mistake of choosing this lowlife joint. Gave our table to another party & we had to separate & couldn't enjoy dinner with our son. The nasty female waitress told me "are you listening". Thank God for Tony who at least apologized for the sorry manager who ruined our event!
Be the first to ReplyEdwin A is the best chef we have ever had at Benihana.
Great show, attentive, funny, and overall just a great time. If you are ever in the Las Vegas area, try to request this chef. Server Tammy is an all star as well. Drinks were flying, service was A1. This tag team duo will make your dinner and the overall experience a great time.

Go to any other hibachi restaurant in town and it'll be better than this. I'm extremely disappointed in our visit tonight to celebrate Mother's Day. It was our first time and will be our last. Everything was mediocre -- bland food, ok "show" from our chef, but what pushed me over the edge to never come back was a TERRIBLE interaction with a rude MANAGER named Mike (Caucasian man with a shaved head looking like a scrawny Mr. Clean.) Our reservation was at 6:30pm and we waited for the hibachi chef for an hour and our soup/salad apps didn't come until about 7:10. The chef started cooking at 7:30, then finished cooking a little before 8:15 for us to eat. Then the manager was rudely trying to kick us out of the table before 8:45pm because he "needed it for another party and it was past our 90 minutes." We weren't loitering mind you, I just finished packing up my leftovers and my mom and boyfriend's mom were still trying to finish the fish bowl cocktail they were sharing. We told him we were finishing up and he literally said "you can do that anywhere but here." No one told us about the 90 minute rule nor did anyone give us a heads up when we were nearing that time, not to mention he's counting the hour of waiting for a chef against us, so 90 minutes would've been up WHILE the chef was cooking. Regardless, this man could've approached us with kindness and empathy. I would've gladly hurried our group if he would've apologized for the rush or offered to move us to the bar/other area to finish their cocktails. Anything but that attitude and the way he spoke to and treated us as a MANAGER. Horrible staffing choice. I understand it's a busy holiday, but that's not how you treat people choosing to spend $500 at your establishment. The food was ok, not as tender or seasoned as well as other places I've been to. The amount of food is smaller here too in comparison to other hibachi places in town. The salmon I ordered sounded great because of the avocado tartar sauce described on the menu, but I wasn't given that with my meal and had to ask a couple times before I got it and our server let me know they were out of the sauce so she had to scrape up whatever was left. Not sure if it was just our particular hibachi chef but he didn't do as many tricks or put on as good of a show than the other chefs we saw at surrounding tables (or in my experiences at other hibachi restaurants.) He was still very nice so I tipped him since it was a busy night. Our server who brought the drinks/apps was probably the only other positive, she was friendly and energetic. Overall, save your energy and go to one of the other local hibachi places. I recommend Izumi (great lunch specials), Ohjah (lots of locations), or Osaka (OG hibachi spot) -- all of which are rated higher on Yelp than Benihana :)

My experience at this restaurant was truly delightful, and a big part of that was thanks to our waiter, Ray. Not only was he attentive, but he also made our dining experience incredibly entertaining and fun. Ray's enthusiasm was contagious, and his charisma added a unique touch to our meal. He offered great recommendations from the menu and was always ready to engage in friendly conversation, making us feel right at home. If you're lucky enough to have Ray as your waiter, you're in for a real treat. His passion for providing excellent service is evident in everything he does. Five stars for Ray's outstanding service and unforgettable personality!

Be the first to ReplyThe food is what you would expect.
although the entertainment options are limited due to fire regulations in the location. The chef did a great job, and the service was satisfactory. However, the prices are a bit steep for what you get. All dishes were cooked perfectly. Additionally, there are no local incentives to visit downtown, which may deter some people, although personally, I try to avoid downtown whenever possible.

Let me say, I've been a customer of Benihana for over 20yrs and This is by far the greatest experience I've had. The hostess Kacee was so knowledgeable, inviting and sweet. Her smile alone made my feel welcome. The manager Hugo made sure everything with my order was perfect. Today is my daughters birthday and we don't have time to dine in but making sure our to go order was on point is everything we could ask for. So grateful to have found this Vegas location now that I moved her from Cali and will be back as often as life permits. Thank you staff, thank you cooks and thank you Benihana for hiring such inspiring, amazing and wonderful people! -Jermon

I came here for my twenty first birthday and this was the worst service I have ever experienced. We made reservations for 9pm but failed to get seated until about 9:30. Once we sat down it felt like it was 100 degrees, I know it's usually warmer in these type of places because of the grills but I've been to Benihana many times before and never experienced this type of heat. We asked them to move us to outside seating so they did and practically failed to remember us. We got our drinks about 30 minutes after sitting down, our sushi and appetizers arrived after our main course and we had to ask for our sauces about three different times to the point where our food was cold! I had them warm it up for me after the fact and had to eat my food alone because everyone else had already fished by the time I got my food. $125 for terrible service and cold food. I don't think it's Benihana it was just this location but they RUINED a very special night. We ended up leaving the restaurant after they closed (midnight) so disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyGreat visit for some birthdays while visiting Las Vegas.
We had a party of 7, which is the perfect amount to fill our own table at a grill. Our reservation was for 7:45 p.m., but we arrived early, they were able to accommodate us early. Everything from beginning to end was perfect, the service was amazing, the food spectacular, and the location itself is just gorgeous. Conveniently located inside the Westgate on the strip. I had the steak teppanyaki, and my husband tried and loved the Ahi tuna. For drinks we had the Tokyo mule, and an old-fashioned. My friend had a Mai Tai and the chicken. I absolutely recommend this location for a special dinner off the primary part of the strip, and you can take the monorail to get there.
Be the first to ReplyI just wanted to share my first and only experience I had
I just wanted to share my first and only experience I had here which was on Saturday April 20, 2024. We came as a party of 6 with a 9:15 reservation for my daughter's 21st birthday dinner. By the time they sat us we are at a table in the middle in it was over 100 degrees with no air flow whatsoever. I understand that with the heated grills it will create heat but our faces were all dripping sweat and we could not even think about eating. We asked to be moved to a different table because there were other area in the restaurant that felt cooler. They told us they could only move us outside which we said was fine if that's the only option we had. We had planned on the dinner show but since we were outside they told us that the food would still be the same just without the show. No problem. We sit outside and wait almost half an hour for any service . We order drinks which took forever for us to receive and some of them were forgotten . We wait forever for someone to finally come and take our orders but we couldn't do that because we were never given menus. We finally get to order after already sitting there for an hour. The waiter brings out our salads, with spoons! He says "I am sorry we are out of forks so I only have spoons" So we all eat out salads with spoons. WtF! I had ordered some sushi and it came out cold, forever later because they had taken our rolls to the wrong table . All of our food came out cold like it had been sitting g out forever, which it probably was because now it had been 2 hours since we had sat down. The server that we had was friendly but was extremely absent minded and what seemed to me was drunk or stoned, and that's when we did see him which was barely. The only positive thing I can say is that when it did come time to pay the bill they had removed things off of the bill without us asking because they know how horrible it was. Everything was terrible!! My daughter was so upset because she loves Benihana and that's all she wanted for her big day and it was the shittiest experience ever. We are from California and come to Vegas often but will never be back here! We love Benihana but not this one. Very disappointed
