Ideal wedding venue
Attended the hotel for a family wedding. Very impressed with the function rooms decor and the staff were so attentive, caring, and courteous. The meal was served very promptly and portions were very wholesome. The meal was delicious and very tasty and served very efficiently and guests dietary requirements were all facilitated without any fuss. I would highly recommend the hotel as a very suitable and ideal wedding venue.
Beautiful Sunday roast dinner
Had Sunday lunch today, it was the best Sunday roast I've had in a long while! Food was tasty and delicious and plenty of it. The staff are a credit to the hotel! Especially Sharon and Grainne - both couldn't have done enough for our lovely afternoon treat!
No sleep
Unfortunately, I got very, very little sleep. I was situated very near overhead room 244 of the function room, and I rang down at 12 pm to see when the event was finishing, and they said 1am I said I couldn't sleep with all the noise. The event finished, and then there must have been folk staying over as there was noise in the corridor and rooms till .4.30 am. If the hotel is having functions, they should try and put folk at the event near the function room and others away from it. I have stayed here before, and I never encountered this, and I am supposed to be working here today exhausted.
Wedding venue. Don't stay on Saturday unless you want noise and crowds.
Well this stay started off on a rather bad note. When we arrived on a Saturday afternoon the parking lot was crammed full. no spaces at all. turns out this hotel is a very popular wedding venue and they had some other garden party going on as well. I had driven all across Ireland that day and was then told I would have to park at the Tesco down the road. NFW. I finally got a lucky break and got spot in the lot. The staff was pleasant and check in was reasonably quick. Our room had a slighly smoky musty smell as if at some point in the past it had been a smoking room even though it said non smoking room. The bed was OK, but no outlets were near the bed. The bathroom was tiny. The TV was medium sized. room lighting was average. The hotel had a restaurant on site, but as mentioned previously they had a wedding going on so it was full. Being only 2 of us we were able to get a table but part of it was sticking out in the walkway. The food was quite good and they had a good beer selection. Later in the evening they had a quite good band in the restaurant. Sleep quality was not good. Doors slammed and seemed to rock the whole room. There seemed to be a bachelor party in the room adjacent to ours. I ended up calling the front desk to quell the party and in half an hour or so it shut down. There was no AC and only one small window which if opened let in even more noise. Maybe this hotel is quieter on weekdays, but I just wanted a quick comfortable QUIET place to spend the night in Belfast.
Warm Irish Hospitality
Earlier in the year I'd stayed in an up-market hotel in central Belfast but I enjoyed this hotel so much more. It ticked all the boxes in terms of comfort and cleanliness but what stood out was warm Irish hospitality. I especially enjoyed the restaurant in the evenings. There was a pleasant, informal buzz with friendly service and good food. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable there. Breakfast was generous and again the staff were helpful and pleasant.
Great location
Wonderful hotel to stay at, the staff were friendly and very helpful, helping us sort transport into Belfast city, looking for trains (which unfortunately were not running to where we wanted to get) giving us taxi prices and downloading bus information. The location was ideal for us, not in the centre just a half hour bus ride, and half an hour from Game of Thrones Studio Tour and easy back to the city airport. The hotel is clean and spacious, and the rooms are very comfy. There is a good selection at breakfast and evening meals. If we visit Belfast again we would definitely stay here again. There is also a good size car park.
Absolutely first class 5 star treatment,
Absolutely beautiful. Arrived way earlier than checking in time but not a problem, within 45 minutes our room was cleaned and prepared and what a room it was. We paid for breakfast to be included and my what a breakfast it was, fit for a king, cooked fresh. the only downside to our stay was the shower, we could not get it to work and only had a slow trickle of freezing cold water so it was strip wash from the sink, I didn't report this to the Hotel because the Hotel was perfect and didn't want to spoil the weekend (my choice). Literally a 5 minute walk from Dunmurray station catch a return day ticket to Lanyon Place for just £3.80 then 2 minute walk into Victoria Square Belfast city centre. Although we only had breakfast here I can tell by the number of Diners they have passing through the meals are of high quality and very reasonable prices. All members of staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help you.
Excellent customer service
Stayed in the executive room can only sum up in one word WOW. Newly renovated spacious luxury room and the price compared to other hotels in the area very good value. We have stayed here a few times now started if with basic room then superior room this time the executive room and no matter what room you stay in everyone is spotless and comfortable. The staff are amazing always going out of their way to give you the best stay. Have noticed that there's a lot of staff now compared to one year ago but this is because this gem of a hotel is now getting a great reputation for its food entertainment and excess ability to transport for getting around Belfast. While the standard is this good I will always stay when visiting Belfast.
Slow service at the Beechlawn Hotel, Belfast.
Just arrived home after a Birthday Celebration meal at the Beechlawn Hotel. We had booked for 5 for 7.30pm. After waiting a considerable length of time , we had to ask one of the girls if she could take our order. Someone came over and took the order. After nothing had come to our table for over 40 mins I asked if someone could check our order... It arrived about 10 mins after that, and a suitable apology given for the delay. So from coming in and ordering, it took the best part of an hour for our first course to arrive. That in my book is totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, we wont be back because of the abysmally slow service, which is unfortunate as the meals were quite good.
Lovely food, terrible service
Visited here on the 6/5/2024 and unfortunately it was the worst customer service the place has ever had. Plenty of staff on and the place wasn't overly busy. We got sat down and asked what drinks we would like, when they were served the waitress then took our mains order, we finished our meals and stacked our plates then we waited 40 mins after we were finished (hoping for somebody to take our dessert order) for nobody to come near the table. We ended up getting up and walking out, got 2 kids meal with only one free drink, the other we were charged for and neither child received their ice cream after their meal either. (Almost £9!! For a kids meal including juice and ice cream, although not included on this occasion) The young girl who took the bill also had a bad attitude couldn't smile or use manners, took our payment but just left my bank card and receipt on the table without even handing it back. Better trained staff wouldn't go a miss so they would be able to acknowledge a table full of empty dishes and glasses. Should have just drove a couple more minutes up the road to Balmoral hotel, it has far better customer service.
Starrrrrved!
Currently sitting here now. Booked a table for 6pm for a family celebration for 15 ppl. Its now 7.47pm and not one of us has been served a bite to eat. Stomach thinks my throats cut and not even so much as an apology yet! Not even been offered a drink had to go out to the bar to get one Seriously thinking of just getting up and leaving. I wonder if they'd even notice.

Not booked but got a lovely table in the conservatory area. Good service and lovely food with generous servings, including fish, burger and steak. Cooked exactly as required. Really a lovely experience all round. Will definitely return.
HIDDEN GEM
The Hotel's tagline is 'Arrive as guests, leave as friends ' and I totally agree. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and so down to earth. Our meal in the restaurant was out of this world, so tasty and great service, as was breakfast. Our room was warm, cosy and very clean, great night's sleep. We will definitely be back!
poor end to the night
went for a family birthday dinner. food was good but service not. when seated no-one asked for drinks order so ended having to go to bar ourselves only to be told it was table service only when pointed out no-one came for order they took order and brought to table. this set the scene for the rest of the evening where we had to go to bar give order to get it delivered to table. there was a long wait for food but we did not mind so much as the company was good. the worst part of evening was at the end after another trip to the bar i asked staff to add the order to the bill and I would pay for everything. I was taken to another till where a bill was produced and I paid for all. some half hour later a staff member appeared at table and said 'here's you bill' none of the usual haw was everything etc. etc. I took bill back to pay point, pointing out i had already settled producing receipt. staff took receipt and given bill to reception where a staff member who identified as the manger came pushed a few buttons on till then said i had paid another tables bill no apology, our fault etc. etc. just you owe us more and you must pay. no offer of a good will gesture just repeating you must pay. a definite spoiler to an otherwise good night so much so that we will vote with our feet and definitely not be back. some staff training required not what is expected in hospitality these days.
Terrible
We had a table booked for 5:30pm, we ordered drinks, starter, main, our starters came after 15 minutes, then our mains took 1hr 45minutes to come, which is an absolute disgrace!! When our food came it was cold and a mess, we barely touched it, we went to pay for the bill and asked if we could get discount for the very poor service, then to be told no!! A sign said wait will be 45 minutes- 1 hour, so we accepted that and give a bit of lenience, but 2+ hours is a joke. Extremely disappointed and will not be back
Great food, awful customer service.
I am posting my complaint online to which the receptionist replied we will pass onto management, but no one got back. That was a month ago. Good afternoon. I'm writing an email to make a complaint of our visit this afternoon at 1pm for a meal. We were seated at 1pm and the service from start to finish was atrocious. We arrived at our booking time and was pointed to our table 'that one at the window.' We didn't recieve a menu or a drink order for 15 minutes. At that point we could see it was very busy but then the service we recieved after that was unbelievable. We got served by a lady with blue and purple hair as we didn't catch her name. She was so very rude towards us and wouldn't let us finish a sentence. She cut my mother off when my mum asked a simple question about a dessert. There was a mess up with starters, one arrived then the next 10 minutes later. When the lady collected our plates she didn't look our direction, not even a smile or how was the food. I am very disappointed in this service. I work in the hospitality industry myself and cannot understand why someone would work in a service role like this and not be kind and polite to customers. On paying our bill she took the payment and didn't even ask how the meal was. There wasn't even a thank you. Food was delicious so compliments to the chef. I would also like to mention a few of the other girls that served us couldn't have been nicer. Thanks.
Night out
Was here last night Saturday 20th January for my mums 70th there was about 30 or so off us the place is really well dressed and finished inside and out it was so busy and was broken up in the best way was harden drinkers lol cut off for the family style restaurant but still had a gratefully open feel the waiting staff were so busy but still were amazing and always present we waited a brave wile for are food and between courses also but the food was top notch.real was the wait wasn't a problem for most off are table just a few not so skinny sisters were getting han--gry lol iam a chef off some 20+ years so take my word when I tell all the food in this place off so good clean tasty
First class service
First impressions were impeccable speaking to my 5 year old daughter first like she was the most important which she is! Reception unreal! Both the gent and the lady made us feel very very welcome. Thank you both! Our room was lovely! We booked a family room and we enjoyed a movie before we went down for dinner. The staff are a credit to this place! Excellent service, excellent food, excellent all round! Well done to all the staff at this hotel you made our stay very enjoyable and I will be recommending!

Stayed for two nights found the hotel to be a hidden gem. Price of rooms best value for Belfast. Had a meal on the first night got to say they don't skimp on the portions and very reasonable priced. Staff very friendly and helpful even though it was so busy. Stayed in a serperior room lovely clean with a massive super king bed which was so comfortable. Breakfast was good but didn't have porridge on the menu only fault I could find. Had a family dinner on Sunday afternoon 18 of us and everyone in the family thought the food was amazing so much we're gonna do the same next year. Overall can't really find fault with this wonderful hotel. Five Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Awful experience will NEVER be back!
For my parents 25th wedding anniversary I had booked a meal here as this is where they married. I had pre booked and arranged to leave down some balloons and a cake to be set out for us upon arrival . -Got there at 6, table wasn’t ready so they sent us to the bar - they called us at 630 table was ready (it was booked for 6) - table wasn’t dressed they didn’t have the cake or balloons out -had to go looking them and they told me just to lift it and carry it down myself - ordered food waited an hour and 25 mins on it coming out😳 - they didn’t bring down steak knifes for me& dad so had to ask for that - one of the steaks was very overcooked and chewy (asked for medium) - couldn’t get the steak replaced either as not one member of staff came near us to check on things -didn’t come near us again so no one could get any drinks , also no water for the table -we sat for 20 mins after we had finished dinner no one came near us again to ask if we wanted dessert or to even lift the dinner plates -also didn’t give us a knife or anything for the cake So dad went out to speak to the manager just to tell him he was disappointed with the service and the manager told him he has no interest and basically didn’t want to listen to a word. So so poorly ran and very unprofessional. Will never use here for a special occasion again. So disappointed

A mixed bag
We booked this last minute due to needing somewhere for a night after flood disruptions. I called to ask if they would reduce the price for 1 night but it was only reduced by £5. The staff member who booked for me and also checked me in was lovely young guy. Very friendly and helped me with the bags to my room as my husband had not arrived yet. We got room 247. Good size, OK shower, decent amenities. The bed was awful though. Hard, cheap mattress and pillows flat as pancakes so it wasn't a comfortable nights sleep. I got breakfast delivered to the room. Great selection for my coeliac husband. Food was lovely and arrival was prompt. The blonde girl on reception on check out was not friendly at all. Actually rather rude and dismissive. The interior of the hotel in the restaurant, bar and upstairs seating at the top of the stairs is lovely. Nice hotel but some improvements needed. Also a great location to transport and local shops / food outlets.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
