Sadly disappointed
We have been coming here over the years since they opened and tonight I was very disappointed. My husband ordered the ribeye which looked like a Denny’s breakfast steak. They charged $2.00 for blue cheese dressing on my salad, which I don’t recall this in the past. It took an hour for our food and we didn’t have appetizers. When it came out, my filet was cold and so was the green beans that looked very poor quality. I’m very sad that they have gone downhill but I’m not dropping $200.00 on a low quality meal. Sorry but we won’t be back.
Be the first to ReplyJust okay. Very expensive for the quality received.
First time in. Most aspects of the service were fantastic. Sat down immediately (had reservation). Greeted with friendliness. Noise level loud but not unbearable. Booth was tight and seating kind of cramped in the restaurant. Meatball and burrata apps were very tasty. Salad dressings homemade and flavorful. Pasta carbonara was very good but portion for the price ($35) disappointing. 14 oz Ribeye ($55) was very thin for ribeye and slightly overcooked. Veal dishes ($39ish) were just okay. Had portions of my veal that were chewy, tough and hotter than the other portions of same piece. Sides of pasta on plates were very small (maybe 1/2 cup?) and not sauced. Tried all desserts (compliments of restaurant which was very generous of them) and they were all very tasty. In general, incredibly overpriced for the quality of the food received. Probably won’t be back for that reason.
Be the first to ReplyGREAT FOOD + FRIENDLY STAFF= ENJOYABLE EVENING
My husband and I visited 09.21.2023, a Thursday evening, for our 44th Anniversary with another couple. There was a handmade anniversary card on our table signed by the entire staff waiting for us. We enjoyed a drink and placed our order for the dinner for 2....salad,2 steaks of your choice, shrimp, green beans and cannoli for dessert. The atmosphere is very Italian down to the music played in the restaurant. We are from Chicago and the food here beats the pricier Chicago steakhouses back home hands down. Please make sure you make reservations so you are not disappointed as this Thursday night they had a packed house! We will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyDon’t bother coming if you have a party larger than six.
This was our fourth time at Beau and Mo’s celebrating a birthday and we were extremely disappointed for the second time with the table arrangement. I realize that the restaurant is small and has limited seating but I would suggest that whoever assigns reservations gives a forewarning that if you have a party larger than six there is a large possibility the party will be split up between two separate tables. I was there with my family last night celebrating a birthday, our reservation was set for 11 and we were extremely disappointed to see two completely separate tables when we were shown to our table…and I mean completely separated to the point that we were sitting back to back cutting off any sort of mingling that should be able to happen when going out to eat. When we saw this arrangement we immediately asked if it could somehow be put together and we were denied because “there was nothing else that they could do”. As someone who works in the hospitality industry I was baffled that a fine dining restaurant like Beau and Mo’s would try to pull a fast on a party that is spending large amounts of money for a dinner without explaining beforehand that there is a possibility you could be separated into two different tables. This is the second time that we have showed up for our reservation and the tables were separated, granted the first time it wasn’t as bad but this time around honestly ruined the experience for myself and my family. Food and service was same as always but this lack of customer communication put a bad taste in my mouth and it will likely be awhile before we go back.

Great food. The apps are amazing! The server Nick was a gem! If you haven’t tried this place it’s a must. Order the skirt steak! It goes fast so as the night goes on it’s sometimes unavailable. Anything you order will be delicious regardless!

Finally made it to Beau and Mo’s. It was a fun fabulous meal with family. Make a reservation. Place was packed by 6. Cocktails were wonderful. Wine list seemed just fine and improving. Our server was Andrea. She was very patient and informative. Yes, many of the steaks are Chicago style charred but the menu has lots of other options. Loved it and will be back.
Be the first to ReplyIt’s intimate dining with a lovely vibe from the piano. It’s a small place so make reservations well in advance!
Don’t laugh but this place used to be a strip club!!! However it reminds me of Frank Sinatra era . Piano player and cozy atmosphere. Family owned and the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I like a good chat on my Chops and Steak but it if you don’t let them know because they will come with one! Their scallop appetizer is always amazing! Dessert is extremely yummy! Save room!

Let me start with I don't usually write reviews. I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. It was my birthday and we heard good things about this restaurant so we wanted to give it a try. Big mistake! Our bill with tip was $268.00. I have had a much better dinner at Outback. We started with a crab cake. It was OK. A little pricey for the size at $24. For the entrée we ordered the steak for two. It comes with a shrimp appetizer. They give you three small shrimp. Its a dinner for 2. Why would you not get 4 shrimp, it does not make sense. It also comes with green beans and salads. the waiter offered three choices of dressings. We chose the house garlic and blue cheese. We were charged extra for both dressings. I understand blue cheese can be an upcharge, but the garlic dressing? It was $2.00. I have never been charged for dressing on a salad in my life. I was later informed the only dressing without a charge is the vinaigrette. The menu started you could order a side of pasta for $6.00. We both ordered pasta after discussing the choices with the waiter. We were not told there was an upcharge. When we received the bill my olive oil and garlic pasta was $8.00. The other pasta we ordered was with Bolognese sauce. It was $18.00, three times the price listed on the menu. Again, waiter never mentioned there was an upcharge. We asked for parmesan cheese as it was never offered. I guess we were expecting fresh cheese. We were handed a little glass shaker of cheese. It was cheese like kraft parmesan in the can. Now for the steaks. We chose filet and rib eye. The rib eye was a thin piece of meat that was mostly fat and grizzle. I literally had to spit it out. One of the worst steaks I have ever had. And as others have mentioned they give paper napkins. could it be any more tacky, esp when you are spending over $200? I would never return to this restaurant. When you are being up charged for everything including dressing on the salad and you are not told that is very bad business. Worst experience I have ever had.

Be the first to ReplyGood food, Good service a great find
The mussels in white wine were amazing. The pasta bolognese plentiful and flavorful. Ribeye steak, cooked perfectly. Michael was an amazing server, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Great environment.

We ate at Beau &Mo’s last evening and it was an exceptional experience. The food was delicious and served promptly but not so much so that we felt we were being rushed. My husband’s steak was perfect and my raviolis were tasty. Our server Mike was friendly and attentive. We will be returning.
Be the first to ReplyFine Food, but Not Fine Dining
This is generally a very good restaurant. However, I would not call it fine dining. And that’s a shame, because the food is delicious. The restaurant is just not as good as other great steak houses in the Tampa Bay area. The management refuses to stock steakhouse standards, like steak sauce or ketchup. They even brag about it on their menus. As of to say, their food is too good for steak sauce. I get that type of marketing. It just turned me off. A fine restaurant caters to customers. Not the other way around. I was warned about this, in advance, and brought my own steak sauce. The wine list is quite limited. Only four or five cabs to choose from. And the killer for me: paper napkins! I ordered a $135 steak for two and had to use a paper napkin. Do I sound pretentious? Perhaps. But charging $135 for a steak is also pretentious. Applebee’s has cloth napkins! The food here is delicious. The service is good. The ambience is not good. That’s why my overall experience only rated three stars.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice interior along with great food
Our last visit was for a small Christmas party. I had the linguine with clams – outstanding. My wife had lasagna and said it was one of the best she's ever had. Our friends had the spaghetti Bolognese and loved. As a local I would highly recommend. Our server was outstanding and the manager checked with us to make sure everything was okay.

Our first visit after recommendations from EVERYONE we meet. Easy making a reservation on Yelp. Sat at the bar. Bartender was efficient, in fact, the only reason I gave a 4 star review instead of 5, was because we felt rushed. Ordered a cocktail and then ordered dinner. Salad, bread and cocktail arrived almost all at the same time! Before I could enjoy the salad, our perfectly cooked to order filet arrived, as did a glass of wine we told the bartender we would have with our steak. Now I have bread, salad, cocktail, steak, water and wine ALL sitting in front of me! Except for that, it was AMAZING! I’ll be back, just with better instructions for our server!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Dinner
Everything was great from the food to the service. We had a Filet and a RibEye dinner which included salad and dessert.
Be the first to ReplyOver priced and over hyped
When the Brussel sprouts were the highlight of your meal at a steak house you know it wasn’t good, I ordered a rib eye steak and got the thin smallest steak I have ever seen, it was hardly seasoned and was fairly tasteless, the service was ok, the place was busy and no accommodation is made for you to wait for a table, we got ours 20 mins later than our booking. The seating is random chairs that are not very comfy. We will not being going back here again as there are much better restaurants serving far better food to visit
Be the first to ReplyThe best steak we’ve ever had!
We were doing work in the area and our b & b hosts made this recommendation. It was settled in a neighborhood and had a very midwestern vibe. The server made great recommendations and everything came out timely. The drink and food were amazing. And as I named the review, my husband and I agree it was the best steak we ever had. We even had the pleasure of meeting Mo and talking about we fellow business owners are facing in this new Covid climate. We are heading back in the next month or so and will definitely be sure to eat here again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat steak and that's about it
We were seated right away with a reservation but waited at least 10 min before a server came over dropped off a craft of water than walked away Received our drinks about 20 minutes after we sat down. But our table was located near what appears the only bathroom so there was a line along side of our table for the bathroom. Meal came and cooked to perfection(14oz Ribeye and lobster) but once meal came that was the last we saw of our server. Horrible service for a high priced place Go to Ruth Crist another great steak and same price like here but the service is superior and Bea and Mo get rid of the paper napkins this is a 5 star place
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Food..Cozy Ambiance&a live piano bar♡
We ate here 3 times in 2 weeks!!
Beu&his wife Madonna own this hidden gem near downtown St. Petersburg&Historic Kenwood♡ Dont let the outside fool you..located on 5th Ave.N next door to a complete auto/garage&a pediatrician/doctor ofc...
The inside is right out of a cozy speak-easy Chicago-style restaurant..
It's all about the "CAST IRON"cooking&his very expensive stove!! Beu is very very hands on&super particular w/the meats..you can almost cut w/your fork! The lamb chops had such a sear/sizzle♡♡
The staff/servers move quickly&quietly around&your never asking for anything...your treated like a V.I.P.♡
(AND)a lively piano bar too♡
3-4 outside tables/dining..pups&smoker friendly♡
The first time we went...we asked our fabulous bartender...the outside is very off the beat/path??? He looked at us....winked...and said "exactly" that's the secret!!!
Great steak but...
Delayed on arrival as the car park was full and problem finding a space.
Shown promptly to the table and friendly greeting. Wine ordered then 20 minutes wait, place packed and staff clearly stressed.
Salads small and uninspiring. Great steaks cooked to perfection.
If you are looking for an upscale sophisticated and relaxing restaurant experience like Ruth Chris this is not the place. It is casual and on the Tuesday night we were there, loud and very busy.
In summary, steaks top marks, general ambiance less.
A Disappointment of Head Shaking
Trying to make a long story short. Arrived for our 9:00pm reservations. First time visit. Seated about 9:45pm. Husband and I thought due to the lateness we would share the Linguine (which was excellent). We were with 4 others who did order full meals.
When review of our bill WE WERE CHARGED $10 FOR SHARING??? No where on menu is that stated. Second we both had Blue Cheese Dressing each with additional $2 charge. It is on menu yet under the Plates for Two not under Pasta or under side salad selections. There was bottled water on the table yet wait staff took all the glasses off the table and asked for alcohol orders. Wine $11 a glass.
Yet what was the MOST disturbing fact was our friend choked on a piece of meat and another friend in our party yelled Heimlich loud and several times. THE STAFF DISAPPEARED and Beau was even there. Could someone call 911 no one did....thankfully the wife of the victim did the Heimlich. Thankfully all was well and not one staff member even owner asked if all was well.
A nightmare of an evening.
Never again... and yet I know this will be a small drip into a bit pond, just be aware of hidden cost and if someone in your party chokes YOU be prepared to save them
Best meal
Just had the best meal at this place, ordered Pappardelle Bolognese and the sauce was perfect, the steak was cooked to perfection as well, we will definitely go back

I eat out often. This restaurant brought tears to my eyes and made me believe again. OMG!!!! The linguini carbonara is better then anything I found in Rome Italy. The filet was outstanding. The Chilean Seabass was to die for. The tiramisu had me giggling. I tried to book reservations for tomorrow but they’re packed so I’m gonna wing it and try to sit at the bar for dinner. Literally the best food I’ve had in so long. Thank you so much!
Be the first to ReplyMediocre
Waited to try this place due to variety of good and bad reviews. Not worth the money, wine price triple base price, their “hard char “filet should read “burnt” nearly inedible why do this? Salad is wilted lettuce slopped with dressing. Green beans couldn’t cut with steak knife so undercooked. The entire place smells of smoke went home and showered. Spent over 300 should have gone to Flemings or Capital grill for these prices. Save your $$ and skip this place
