Good Vibes
The food was amazing! The fried pickles are delicious and you can't go wrong with barbecue. There is a cover charge when there's a band but it was great to have some live entertainment.

We ate very well. We had a delicious whiskey. Excelent reception. Two fantastic bands played. We will definitely be back! It's so worth it! Good music, good service and good drinks.
Be the first to ReplyGreat music, great food. Friendly staff.
We tried to book before we went but it appeared to be fully booked. However we were walking past and asked and went straight in and were given a table. I’m not sure you can actually book, or certainly it’s not necessary. There was a $10 cover charge but a lot of the music cafes have that. There were two bands on and both of them blew our minds. The food was really good. I had prawns and grits first time and we went a second time and I had ribs. My husband had a burger both times (it was so good the first time). The staff were really friendly, especially considering how busy they are.
Be the first to ReplyBB Kings true music experience!
The food, music and the atmosphere in BB Kings is awesome! Absolute must visit if you’re down Beale Street! The band we saw, was truly incredible!!! Would have been 5 out of 5, however, the servers that served us weren’t very friendly and came across like they wanted to be there. Memphis is known for its Southern hospitality and the servers we had, truly weren’t hospitable at all! But it was an incredible experience, and made my love for jazz/blues even more! P.S. next door on the left is a BB Kings merchandise store which was great!

This was the absolute worst ran restaurant on the entire street. I sat down and waited over 20 minutes for a server to wait on me. As I am waiting 3 or 4 tables sat after me and every one of those tables got waited on before me. An absolute poorly ran business .

Great atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. The band was amazing and could of listened to them all night long. Really guys top notch. The lead singer was handing out CDs which i wish i could of had. But i don't have anything to play it in anymore so didn't take one when i couldn't use it. The BBQ nachos were so good and service on point. Make sure you visit if your in town.

After heading into BB kings (as britains) we were greeted with a sign that says $10 per person to cover live music. As we are from the UK, this was a shock! But, gave it a go. We were sat close to the stage but nothing happened for a good 20/30 minutes. Then Memphis Jones started playing and were sooo good! They are so knowledgable about the history of blues and soul music as well, they don’t just play their music! Well worth the $10 per person charge at the door. I only mention we are Brits because a lot of Brits would be put off with the charge! But don’t be! Also once you pay it for that day you can come and go for the rest of the day. We were served by a lovely waitress, didn’t catch her name. She was so attentive and got us the side of fries we wanted to share between us so quickly. Drinks flowed, fantastic overall! Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyOrdinary band and same for the food
Last night in Memphis and this seemed a good option. The place charges a fee for the live music - $10 a head. Crazy but we went in anyway. The band playing attempted to play a variety of styles but it all sounded the same - thrash it to death. The music was very loud but we ordered by shouting and pointing to the dishes we wanted. The food was okay and the beer good.

This is a THEE venue for great music, good food and good atmosphere. My daughter and I were in Memphis for two days and I wish we'd had longer. We were lucky enough to hear the BB King All Star Band. Oh WOW, absolutely fantastic.
Be the first to ReplyWorth a visit for the live music
Tried to visit this legendary establishment on a Saturday evening but the queue to gain entry were enormous so we gave and and tried again on Monday evening. This time only half a dozen people a head of us. Initially sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails, the Lucille and a Hurricane. Both very sweet and £11 each before taxes and a tip. Given the chance of a table, we tried to pay off the bar tab but our server was quite tardy that evening. Once we moved to a table, ordered food : BB’s chopped Salad and Catfish bites. The food offerings in this area seem to be the same in almost every establishment and this was pretty average. What makes this place special is the band and guest artist. They were staggeringly good.

We got here later in the evening about 8:00 pm. The hostess sat us at a big table. We were right up front from the live music. Had a great time. The music was great. Got catfish bites and they were good. The place was clean and comfortable. Had a great experience here!
Be the first to ReplyB.B.King's - Good food and music.
Our first visit to Memphis and BB King's was our first restaurant. BB Kings provided us with everything we were expecting. Good food, good drinks and good music. While the bbq rib portions were ample, depending on what part of the rib you received determined the amount of meat you were served. Suggestion, ask for the mid-rib section for the best selection and you will not be disappointed.

We really never got in. I have been there a few years back and truly enjoyed myself. However, was surprised that the 4 of us would have needed to pay $40.00 to get in before we could even decide what to eat. So we felt like to pay almost 1/2 of A$100 to get in. This was not the place for us. And it was good we did not go in. Some friends told us the music was sad and there were people in the rest room begging for more money. I hated to hear that because I always enjoyed the food there. Very disappointed, but I am sure they don't care. It is a money thing now everywhere, NOT service.

Good meatloaf and great music. Considering how crowed it was the service was pretty good. There is a ground floor and a mezzanine.

Atmosphere 5 Star - Great music, Beale Street and Catfish dinner. It just doesn’t get any better than this! The band was fantastic and wait staff super friendly. The menu had everything and it was hard to choose but we came for the ribs and fish! It did not disappoint!
Be the first to ReplyA Good Meal at BB King's
We ate at BB King's on Wed. 10 April. The BBQ Chicken was exceptionally scrumptious and juicy with a great smoky grilled flavor. The garlic potatoes and mixed vegetables were great. The Shrimp & Grits were delicious and very flavorful. We suffered the $10/person cover charge and the restroom valet looking for tips. The wait staff were great and the band was reasonablely good. The music volume at the back corner table was tolerable. Check for food, beers, tax & tip came to $73 for 2 people + $20 for cover charge.

We went for the music and were so disappointed by a band that you would expect to see on a cheap cruise. This was double the entry fee of other venues on Beale Street and by far the worst we visited. The band wasn’t helped by a poor layout. They hustled hard for tips. The place had broken furniture and toilets which needed a good clean. We won’t be back!

The band (Divercity) didn’t respect the audience and made a number of sarcastic comments. Played requests all night, so didn’t really show off their instrumental skills. They played a 40 minute set and took a 35 minute break. One server was rude - when I requested a table change, he said “That would be a no”, and was not polite at all. Another server we had was great, although both the drink and the food were missing things listed in the menu. The food was all right. Overall, they seem to be quite jaded.
