The Best Sunset in Naples
The best sunset dinner in all of Naples! The dinner was unbelievable and the view was unmatched. The manager, Ignjat and our waiters Adriano and Belfort were just amazing. They took care of us our entire stay at La Playa and were all just so kind and attentive. Thank you for all of the amazing deserts you had us sample, especially the new chocolate cake! We can’t wait to come back soon.

I had the best dining experience I’ve ever had at Baleen. I had dinner on the beach and proposed to my then-girlfriend. Our waiter, Adriano, went above and beyond to make it a night my wife and I will never forget.

Our family of four ate here for my husband's birthday.
We sat outside on the patio with a view of the beach. The view was breathtaking, we had a 7 pm reservation to be able to enjoy the sunset. Unfortunately we sat directly in front of a tall bush which was directly in our view for where the sun was setting. Our waiter was very good, he was super attentive and helpful. My husband ordered the New York strip and was highly disappointed as he compared it to a steak at Longhorn Steakhouse and for the price it was a huge disappointment. I had a filet which was very good and cooked well. My son ordered the special, a wagu hamburger with gold leaf bun and caviar on top, which he said was fabulous, just wished we would of been told the price up front since we found out after we got the bill that it was a $50 hamburger. A little bit of a surprise. Our bill was $700, we didn't order any appetizers or desserts and everyone drank water except for two people in our party ordered a cocktail each. Over all I gave it 3 stars. Beautiful scenery and atmosphere, great service but not really worth the price.

I was in the area for a meeting and stopped here for lunch.
I arrived at 11am, so they had stopped serving breakfast and weren't serving lunch yet; I was seated but unable to order until 11:30. My waitress was very sweet, and the Grouper Salad was pretty good. The prices are high, which is to be expected for the hotel and the area. Overall, not a bad spot for a pricey lunch.

When I arrived I was least unimpressed by the two people that were standing at counter. I bet I stood there for 2-3 min before they even acknowledged me standing there. One was too busy looking at the iPad while the other one watched. I thought boy I hope the rest of the nights service isn't like this. And it wasn't. Bad first impression and I did spend the time uploading my photo as well to the reservation that was a waste of time. This is why I didn't do 5 stars on service." Food was good and so was my drink.

We are locals and this is the best place to grab dinner, drinks, and watch the sunset. Service, food, atmosphere, everything is always on point. Mady is always a great server by the fire pits. Favorite place in Naples by far, couldn’t recommend more.
PRIVATE BEACH DINNER WAS PHENOMENAL!
WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE! We had the private beach dining since it was our anniversary. We choose the silver package by the way! The setup was absolutely perfect. It was a round table on the sand with two roses, candles, and rose pedals on the table and leading up to the table. We had our own private waiter (Adriano) who was nothing but spectacular. He gave us our privacy throughout the night and when he came around, he made sure we had everything to make the night wonderful. By the way, he also provided us with a private Italian song! He can definitely sing and provide service. Also, the employees that came out with our foods and appetizers were very polite and respectfully advised that they were coming up behind us everytime with food (since our backs were towards the restaurant and our bodies were facing the sunset). For drinks they gave us a champagne toast & a bottle of wine of your choice. For food they gave us the seafood platter and the lobster bisque soup. For salads we picked the pear salad and the Cesar salad to try both & for the entree, we had the grouper and the filet mignon. Lastly, the deserts were a chocolate cake and a key lime pie which were phenomenal. EVERYTHING TASTED PHENOMENAL. The sunset was phenomenal and the stars were bright out that night! Truly a wonderful experience & would definitely recommend. Parking is a $5 valet service and their service was outstanding. Brought the car back quick when requested and all the employees were polite, respectful, and greeted you when you arrived and departed.

Baleen was AMAZING!! One of the best restaurants in Naples in my opinion. You just can't beat dinner at sunset on the beach. The filet mignon, lobster bisque, and blackberry bramble were delicious. Employees were friendly.

This was a great dinner spot, the food was amazing & truly enjoyed the atmosphere. We had Andy as our waiter and he was extremely attentive, very kind and made our night. Our first night here we didn’t have the best service but the following night we had Andy as our waiter and he completely changed our opinion on the restaurant simply by how great his service was.

.. "PASS". I had come here tonight with tremendous expectations based on the reviews. First, let me say the location did not disappoint. It was more beautiful in person- and clearly is what draws so many people here. However- location is NOT everything....and service is AND always will be....the most attractive part of any dining experience. The service at Baleen was tragically a crushing blow. I had chosen this venue ( after carefully researching many other venues) to celebrate a very special occasion: my brother and sister in law making settlement on their dream home-a beachfront property in Naples. Initially our waiter Alexi brought cocktails out in a timely fashion. After that...we waited an hour to put our dinner order in...and another hour to get that and a 2nd cocktail order! The cocktails were fabulous/ so kudos to the bartender!....but nothing is worth waiting an hour for!! Dinner was fine- but again; the lack of attention from our waiter as we sat hoping to be served was inexcusable. It took 40 minutes for bread to be delivered to our table!! When it was time to get our check...Alexi was no where to be found. It was SO bad- after 30 minutes....we stood up... put our coats on... and continued standing, hoping to be noticed. Nothing.... it was as if we were invisible! Finally I pulled the manager Ianett over. We asked him to please find Alexi and get us our check. The very next thing I see is Ianett pouring wine at other tables and schmoozing around the dining room with the other guests and no Alexi/ check. It is VERY apparent that certain customers take priority here. If you are looking for a beautiful night out where you are treated with the respect and attention befitting the approx $150 pp cost- go back to researching the many other fine restaurants there are in Naples Incidentally there is a 20% service charge automatically included on your bill- so NO incentive for wait staff whatsoever to improve their service. You need to do better Baleen!

When I inquired that it had now been 50 mins said they were still not able to seat us. The drink service was slow expensive and the cocktail I had which I have had many times before had shrunk to half the size. On top of which my wife was charged $5 to have her drink strained instead of on ice. I then on the way out found the restaurant manager who also had an air of arrogance and I complained. He asked me if I would like to be seated now. No i wanted to be seated at my reservation time and not have to constantly get up and see if we had been forgotten. We live near Baleens have gone there regularly on and off season and taken many large family groups etc We have also spent each Valentine's Day there since moving to Naples 6 years ago. Unfortunately we will never return!! GOOD NEWS we snagged a reservation at Bicyclette Cookshop which is another one of our favorites and as usual it did not disappoint. The food, service and ambiance were perfect thanks to Kayla, Louie and the team.

My husband and I arrived at 6:15 for our 6:30 reservation to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary on February 8, 2024. Upon checking in we were asked where we wanted to dine-inside or outside. The host told us it was windy and people were coming inside, so we chose inside. We we seated in the rear of the restaurant in close proximity to a large party. We were offered water by a staff member who said she was not our server. It was very loud in the restaurant and we sat for over 10 minutes and no server greeted us to take an order. I then went outside to see how windy it was-it was not and there were some empty tables, so my husband and I went back to the host and asked if we could be seated outside and he said there was noting available and we would have to wait. We left and have a wonderful celebration at a different restaurant. Very disappointing as we read many wonderful reviews of Baleen.

There's plenty of others ready to take your table *fun facts ...you have to pay extra for bread, extra for salad, with your $50 entree *service is automatically included on your bill ..20 percent (our server started with us ..ok then took a nose dive and we were left with empty drinks and trying to find him when he got more tables) very disappointed, we won't be back you don't get to celebrate 75 years again.

On our last coastal evening, we selected Baleen as our sunset view dining experience. Tired from 16 days on the road, as we rode from Chicago to SC and Florida, we arrived for a brief stay in Naples. On our month-long road trips, we go from rags to riches. This evening was a raggy kind of day and we decided to make it an eclectic last coastal evening by having an upscale dining occasion. Oh, how wonderful!!! Service, food presentation, flavors, and sunset, as ambiance, are outstanding. Adriano attended to all of our requests and needs in an impeccable professional manner. He is knowledgeable, made excellent recommendations, and answered all of our questions - all with a sense of grace and good humor. For starters, we share Forest Mushrooms Risotto and Baleen Signature Lobster Bisque. Both delicious. Creamy risotto and plenty of a variety of mushrooms could easily be a main dish. The bisque had delicate confetti-size lobster meat, excellent. For our second course, I had the Blackened Gulf Grouper, my husband the Pan Roasted Diver Scallops and we shared the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. My husband selfishly did not share his scallops, he likesd them too much. The grouper was cooked to perfection - firm, flaky, mild flavor. For our third course, we indulged in sweetness from a creamy delicious Crème Brûlée and a Chocolate something with a base of Heath bar that was phenomenal. I had a Barrel Aged Old Fashion (I am an old-fashionista, meaning I try old fashions all over the country) and a Negroni. Both perfect mixology, balanced and flavorful. As we were approaching the end of our epicurean affair, we had a lovely conversation with Georgina (manager??) who pleasantly inquired about our experience. We will be back when visiting Naples.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
