Very average preparation of Indian food that is way overpriced even for Norwegian standards. Paneer Makhani had no Makhhan... It is supposed to have a thick creamy gravy but what we got was a thin tomato Curry and literally had to fish out paneer cubes that were barely there. Naan was too thick and small. I mean USD 20 for a small portion of extremely average Curry is definitely not worth it.

Chicken was rubbery, curry was bad tasting... what a waste of time and money
Be the first to ReplySorely disappointing in terms of flavor.
There was heat to the spice but it lacked the intensity we were used to. I have two theories about good Indian food: I should smell the kitchen from the street, my clothes should smell like roasted spices when I leave. Needless to say, this restaurant lacked both, AND the food was bland.
Be the first to ReplySpicy if you want it ! Choose madras (option 3).
Food was jut ok on average with the naan way below par but the chicken on par.
Be the first to ReplyHad a delicious Indian dinner here last night.
Priced like home in Seattle, delightful service and decor. My wife and I each had lamb dishes which were incredibly tender, and the garlic nan. Couldn't have been more satisfied. Attracted to the shop window the evening we arrived in Bergen dragging our bags past, so hunted it out two nights later. Even had time to make an 8pm choral concert afterwards!

I wouldn't say this is a place to make an effort to go to, but for an Indian place in Norway, it was pretty decent. The garlic and lamb meat naan were delicious as well as the mango lassi drink -- my go-to at Indian restaurants so that it offsets all the spicy foods. We ordered the garlic chicken which was surprisingly satisfying, but I can't say it blew me away by any means. It was a good portion for one person (we weren't too hungry, so it was perfect for us to share since we already had all that naan), and the sauces were fun to try. An easy place to go to if you're craving Indian food with pleasant service, but I would not say this is a must-try place if you're visiting.

Having never been to India I'm guessing this is the typical westernised cuisine, that being said, I love it! The food is absolutely delicious, with large portions. I swear I could eat there every single day.The restaurant itself is far from cozy, and I prefer to just get my food to go.

I ordered lamb kurma, for me it don't taste like kurma, and a bit too creamy, while my husband ordered chicken dishes and he like it. I think the Indian dishes have been westernise it don't really taste original. It should suit European ppl, and I tasted orginal Indian food before and the food here is different from it. Environment is ok spacious, suitable for family with kids or baby that can park their baby stroller. Prices is from 140kr and onward for main course. They have lunch promotion to 6pm is about 100kr per meal.
