Jazz Brunch at Arnaud's.
This classic establishment is in a beautiful building on Bourbon street. First off, I wish they'd enforce their dress code. I'm wearing a sports coat and pants and there were guys in shorts. If you're going to have a code, enforce it. The meal itself was great, although I thought the portions were too small. I don't mind forking over big money but I expect more food in New Orleans. Secondly, they over charge for some special table side services like Cafe Brulot, which we got and it was delicious. Crepe Suzette was another upcharge. Was it worth the money? Nah. I'd go on a normal night and skip the brunch. To me a brunch needs to be exceptionally filling. Have an all you can eat opening course maybe or a dessert buffet bar. That makes a brunch unique and worth the money. The jazz band was very entertaining and added so much to the experience.

Everything is top notch and the food is killer. Love the atmosphere, the service, everything about it. Sometimes I dream of their bannan foster.

We had a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch at Arnuad's! The food was everything you would expect from one of New Orleans finest restaurants. The Turtle Soup was especially delirious! The service was excellent and the Jazz Band really helped make the experience memorable. You could tell everyone was enjoying themselves in the dining room - even the servers. So glad we chose Arnaud's Restaurant for this special day!

This is our third time in NOLA to celebrate Edwyn's birthday, and we were finally able to experience this historic restaurant. The restaurant is actually a combination of 12 different buildings, but we were in the main dining room which is visually stunning in every way. Jeff and Doug were our servers (Doug is the tall gentleman in the photo on the website making dessert), and we couldn't have been more impressed with their level of detail, professionalism and quality customer service, and everyone's dedication to ensuring that every customer is always satisfied and well taken care of. The food was so delicious especially the crab claws as were the drinks. The overall atmosphere is refined, and the history of the place is palpable. We're still so happy that we finally got to experience everything about this amazing legendary restaurant and can't wait for our next visit.

You are not only served the best food in NOLA but are treated like royalty from the greaeting to the check. Tell Augie Rob Branson with the old menu sent you. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed our food and company. The banana fosters stole the show.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a very disappointing first time here yesterday.
We had the crabmeat prentiss to start and it was just ok but very small for the price. I asked for extra croissant bread 3 times that went with it before we got it. For the main, I had the meunière fish which was good, however didn't come with my potatoes. We informed both servers that we needed the dessert to go and asked them to pack up the leftovers because we had to leave in 20 minutes to be at the Saenger. I also stated I didn't get the potatoes to please take them off the bill. 20 minutes later we were still waiting. I stood up and got their attention and they finally brought the check, BUT they also brought TWO SIDES OF POTATOES that A - I never ordered 2 different ones, B - I did not want them to go because they were fried and wanted to eat them fresh, hence my request for them to be removed and C - we were charged for both AND ALREADY LATE FOR THE SHOW SO DIDNT HAVE TIME TO ARGUE THE BILL! So I was beyond frustrated and they did not seem to care at all that they made us late. Also for reference, this was the size of the 6.50 braisant potatoes we were forced to pay for to-go. Yes the container was half full!

Second time dining here at this establishment and it never disappoints. First and foremost, the French 75s are delicious. The oyster Arnaud app brings different styles of chargrilled oysters all of which are amazing. We had the shrimp Arnaud and crab claws along with the escargot as well. Each deliciously flavorful. The duck and steak are cooked to tender perfection. I've never seen a steak you can cut with a fork. The star of the show is always the bananas foster. The staff are well trained and seem to work and communicate well with each other. We will definitely return again.

A must when visiting New Orleans. A classic, classy restaurant.

Looked forward to trying out this New Orleans classic and won't be going back. Started with the tasteless crab claws. My main dish was also similarly bland. We had bananas foster for dessert and that was good. Service was good and staff very attentive. Unsure why they make a big production about the rolls. They are standard bland white dinner rolls with butter. Instead of bringing bread for the table, they use tongs to give each person one roll and one pat of butter. They bring a little water bowl with a lemon to wash your hands. Why? We were invited to look at the onsite "mardi gras museum." They have some old Mardi Gras costumes on mannequins. Some of the mannequins are cracked and look very shabby. Doesn't look like the museum is maintained at all. Feels like a metaphor for the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyI really enjoyed the meal.
I actually want to go back and try other items. Not too impressed with the service, took about 25 mins. to put our appetizer in. I also was there to celebrate my husband's birthday which I informed the restaurant about, but our waitress didn't even acknowledge it when we were there. There was a $12 music/band fee but we didn't even get to enjoy the music. The musicians were in and out in a blink of an eye (3 songs, gone!) came back to sing happy birthday to someone at the table across ours, proceed to another table and then gone again. I really thought they were going to do the same for my husband but did not happen. Anyway, I wouldn't pick this place to celebrate another birthday but we will more likely to come back in the future to try other items.
Be the first to Replywe had a great experience in the jazz bistro.
it's not super loud but also nice to have live music during a truly great dining experience. the drinks are well-crafted, and food is truly special. the service was also great. Keith and Chance are a dynamic duo of knowledge and helpfulness. Keith especially stands out with his recommendations and banter. They should pay him whatever he wants. Can't wait to come back.
Be the first to ReplyOverrated and disappointing.
Our waiter was friendly and warm, and generally speaking we were greeted kindly. However, when we established how we wanted to be paired for our checks, suddenly new fees appeared on our bills, including a "liquor fee" for nonalcoholic beverages. When we politely questioned this, we were given a nonsensical explanation with what I assume to be a manager standing closely by as if to intimidate us. The food was very mediocre - aside from the crab cakes which I do believe were excellent, the sides including the soufflé potatoes tasted as if they were frozen foods that had been microwaved. I would not go back. Our experience wasn't the "fine dining" experience of good food that has been advertised on some platforms.

10/10 for best food/service experience! When you want an amazing dining experience, go to Arnaud's. The Sunday Jazz brunch is divine. From the servers to management, everyone was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, highly recommend the crabmeat cheesecake and turtle soup. You absolutely need to order the bananas foster dessert which is made table side. We even took our daughter and everyone was sweet to her. Have a French 75 cocktail and enjoy the jazz music!
Be the first to ReplyWe had an absolutely amazing time dining here at Arnaud's.
The food was unreal, and the service was phenomenal. Our server Travis was so friendly and our entire family had such an amazing time. I highly recommend checking out Arnaud's when visiting New Orleans. If we ever make it back to this city we will be sure to return to this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance was spirited and welcoming.
The cuisine was beautifully prepared and delicious and Tyrone made sure the service was exemplary. Great to know a classic's still got it!!

What a great place! My wife and I went there last night for dinner. We had the oysters Arnaud, crab claws, crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms, crabmeat Karen and ended it with a baked Alaska. Sounds like a lot. And it was, but everything except the crabmeat Karen were appetizers. Some were definitely full by the end of the evening but didn't have anything leftover. Incredible food quality. We live in SoCal and try to come to NO once a year. Just for the restaurants. Arnauds did not disappoint. And the service is off the charts. Waiters were all in tuxedos. And super friendly. The restaurant was packed and had a great vibe. I wore slacks and a collared shirt and felt a bit under dressed. I only counted two other men who did not have on a sports coat or suit, so I recommend to take their dress attire requirements seriously. You don't want to end up looking like the homeless guy outside.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Sunday jazz brunch at this restaurant.
The waitstaff was attentive and informative. The Belgium waffle was good. The crab cakes were good too. The banana fosters was amazing. The Gumbo trio was fabulous. The soprano sax, string bass and guitar players were great!

Historic and fancy restaurant in New Orleans with a separate bar and small museum dedicated to one of the founders of this restaurant. They focus on seafood and we tried a lot of what's on the menu. But, I was at a large table and wasn't able to capture pics of my colleagues entrees... And, Andy Garcia (actor) sat at the table next to ours! Definitely worth visiting if you're visiting New Orleans as it's off Bourbon Street.

You must listen to jazz and have a nice fish with a dry white. I love the tile floor the noise, the history even with the awful tourists dining in sweats on occasion. The location always transcends and transports.
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal service and brunch dining experience.
Dave was super friendly and made an amazing bananas foster. He even told us the history of the restaurant and made it a pleasant dining experience for us. Great food, great service, and great music!
Be the first to ReplyOn a recent trip to NOLA, we had a group dinner here.
The room was a great setting for a group dinner. Elegant yet not snobby. Private and away from the craziness of Bourbon St. The gumbo was spot on. Nice and rich. The rest of the meal was enjoyable as well thought it's a group meal so I can't judge too closely. The dessert was a flambé. It was a whole show as well. A little sweet for my tastes but utterly New Orleans. Service was professional and overall we enjoyed the meal. Wouldn't hesitate to have a group meal here. They handled it like a pro.

Crab cakes, Seafood Gumbo and the Crayfish dishes were delicious. Pompano Duarte not so much. Travis put on a show with both Bananas Foster and Cafe Brûlée. Service was exceptional. Restaurant was too loud to hear someone sitting next to me.
